Enjoyed firecracker chicken.Just when the customer service was going wrong , comsta stepped in and showed exceptional customer service.

Last 2 occasions been waiting a while to be seated/served (we have to call the waiter over in the endas it seems they are prioritising takeaway.

Always a wonderful experience. You can expect good food at good prices. The vegetarian options are fantastic and if youre trying to be healthy they have you covered.

Great restaurant with great range of vegan options,. But, there really needs to be plant based milk for the coffee!

Good, healthy tasting food with gluten free and vegan options and good allergy procedures. Rather noisy but reasonable value in a central location

Ordered the take away via deliveroo tonight order nr 7015. The new steak salad costing £14 is an absolute joke consisting of very cheap salad like carrots beetroot leaves and cucumber peels topped with very chewy inedible and very cheap piece of raw steak. Not sure how can you justify this. Awful salad

The worst takeaway, the order was incorrect. The chicken was so dry it was like chewing on sand. Never again.Katsu curry comes with dry chicken and rice... if you salivate lots and need to dry off, order this.

The new menu is very good and when Wagamama say a dish is fiery, they are not joking - the Firecracker Chicken Curry proves that.

Pretty relaxed for a Saturday evening. Lots of options for any dietary appetite. Friendly staff. Cant fault it.

TLDR: food and service is amazing but business practice of stealing your information is ridiculous! Read belowI sat down and ordered a fresh fruit juice with no sweetener added (asked for a glass of ice because it was none inside of the drink). The pork belly ramen is delicious with flavorful chicken broth, well fried pork belly and a soft half egg with nice ramen and greens.Where all the stars go out the window is when you pay. Firstly, they force you to pay with scanning a barcode. When you do, they make you fill out a survey to continue ( I tried to continue without it and it made me do the survey). Secondly it makes you use their location services to “find your bill” which is ridiculous I have to turn on my location for them since I am a tourist and don’t know my location. Lastly they force you to give your name and email to “send you a receipt” there is no way to opt out ( I did not even want my receipt).Amazing food but shady business practice of forcing you to give them your information (name, email, survey AND location(I have already been sent a marketing email within the first hour, not including my email receiptmakes me not want to come ever again

Great food and service overall, love the split the bill on the app, makes it so much easier to have lunch with coworkers.

We had excellent professional, courteous, honest service from Adrija. Both my husband and I have worked with clients and customers and her service was a stark contrast to the fast talking Manager and other waitress who plopped my husband’s beer and glass next to me and took our main option but failed to put it through.

Wonderful, staff and great table service. Food was nice and environment lovely to dine out.

Last night was simply amazing we had so much fun and huge thanks to Gina ! Because of her I managed to make a surprise to my girlfriend thanks for handling the flowers as a gift and dessert extra 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Guys you are a starts we need in our life ! Great food but incredibly slow service. Served green tea in a user cup … sent it back and it arrived in a clean cup and stone cold?!? Ordered two items to eat and only one turned up. They must be earning enough money to not bother with customers…

Food came quick and was great, services was great, and the manager Ven was so welcoming and accommodating 5* to all the staff ! Will def be back, and the chilli oil was 💯 🙏

I have a decent meal. Always seem to get the katsu curry. Its never disappoints. The service time was fairly average. Would recommend to go when its not busy. When it packed out its not the best seating arrangement. Eith then that 8/10 for me

I went today with my husband and my mother in law (I have to mention that it was her first visit there)and we had a great experience like any other time and Lizzy, our server, was amazing, very attentive and helpful. We’ll definitely come back.

I always liked Wagamama although I think the price is high for the portions. Nevertheless I enjoy occasional visits and this time what amazed me was quality of service. 5 stars service and loved it. Big thanks

Staff friendly, restaurant clean and welcoming. Very accomodating to allergies, and when asked for a cpuple changes to something on the menu, they were very helpful and were happy to oblige. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

The service was nice, but I have been to other wagamama that have better service. .I ordered the hot chicken katsu but I am pretty sure I got the normal one because it was not hot. I am not good with sending my food back so I ate it because I love chicken katsu but I wanted a hot chicken katsu.The chicken lettuce things that are new to their menu was banging good.The cherry blossoms lemonade drink was nice but it was basically just lemonade.

On my first visit to Wagamamas Reading I was welcomed and served by a friendly and helpful staff member, Iesha. I was ordering a quick lunch take out and they provided a speedy service signposting each part of the journey, offering me a seat whilst waiting and also offering me refreshments whilst waiting. When receiving my order Iesha double checked that I had each item I ordered in my bag. This experience tied with the vast vegan options and perfectly prepared food will have me heading back on my next visit to the city. Thank you for providing a fantastic customer experience!

Lisa was amazing! Ordered food on Deliveroo and one of the dishes was wrong. Called in and they acted really quickly and by the time I got to Wagas they had my dish ready and threw in some extra dishes for the trouble! Really great customer service especially on a very busy Saturday!! Thank you so much to the staff and Lisa especially!!

Hadnt the outstanding manager Nelson stepped in, it wouldve been 2 stars (for the really excellent food); after him showing us what excellent customer service is about - without us even asking to see the manager after what turned out to be a mix-up with another tables food which led to us having almost 15 min between both mains being served, but he as the born leader he is sensed that something wasnt quite ok - its a very good 4 stars, and Im saving the last star for next time. Thank you Nelson, for saving the day and our future Wagamama visits!

Love the location....right by the river...Was quickly seated and seen to...had a window seat which was really nice considering I was dining alone. Definitely recommended this place.

Wagamama is a nice alternate treat. Been a few times but not for a while. Went there February 2022 first time for a while. They don’t scribble your order on the table sheet anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️ boo. Staff were really cool. Was a queue but in quite quickly and seated soon. Okay the saki was cold and not warm like ordered. But. The fried squid just trumps all deep fried calamari served everywhere else in town. Miso soup winner and chicken katsu big portions and just what I ordered and expected. Shout to Ash and Gina. I will eat more at Waga’s - top drawer & recommended.

Nice menu and great staff !Ramen is not bad but still has a lack of taste.

My favorite go-to place. Their ramen grilled chicken noodle is a must order for me. The broth is always delicious. The chicken is always tender. The noodles are very slurp-worthy. I usually dont order any other dish with it since it is a big bowl, but if I did, I would order their gyoza. Its packed with flavor, and the taste wont disappoint. I dont usually eat desert, but their orange chocolate cake is to die for along with their homemade vanilla Ice-Cream.I love their staff. They are fast and prompt. I would highly recommend noodle lovers to try this place.

I thought the food was flavourful, prices seem fair, and great customer service.I went with two other people, and although this style of restaurant is not my favourite (sharing big tables with other groups, bit dark, and quite loudI have to say that I appreciated the time the staff were able to give me. I have a lot of specific allergies that arent all part of the 14 most common (or whatever it is), but the staff were able to accommodate this by checking all of the ingredients of the items I wanted, as well as making sure that my food was prepared separately.

We went for a casual family dinner, they don’t take bookings so we turned up and waited outside for about 15 minutes. They handed out little cups of green tea to people waiting which I thought was a good idea. Once inside they ushered us into a table (we felt so lucky to get proper seats instead of the benches with no back supportand provided us menus (new all vegan menus take way problems of wondering which dishes we can have)Our waiter Adam was very helpful and patient with requests for customisation and credit to him/chefs that the food was as requested despite the restaurant being busy.Drinks arrived soon and the food started arriving in about 10 minutes. There was a nearly 10 minute wait between first and last dishes which isn’t great for a family dinner. The food was great and the quantity was sufficient. My son loved him ramen noodles (with the massive ladle to eat it with), we also had the katsu curry with rice (love the sticky riceand yasai pad thai. The “positive juice” my wife ordered was refreshing so I wish I chose that instead.As a no-frills dining experience (no bookings, benches for seating, pay on mobileI would say it is quite expensive so we won’t be frequenting it but a good place to go from time to time.

It’s truly delicious 😋 We have really enjoyed our meal here and it was a good and unique experience over all.The service was good however we had to wait for a bit till we were seated 🪑 however after we have ordered, the food 🥘 came quickly but it was all at once; like the starter and the main were on the table at the same time. Maybe it’s not a big of a deal but I feel for a restaurant such is Wagamama it’s not up to standard.The food was very flavourful and you get what you pay for ( the portions were quite bigunlike other places.However my only complain is the limited vegan and vegetarian 🌱 options in this place I wish if they had more options. But the overall experience was good and this branch in Reading is quite good 👍🏼.I recommend coming here.

Let me start on the positive note. The location of this Wagamama is absolutely stunning! Just next to the river and has a wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant has a large area to eat inside and out, which is also great. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding. The staff was very attentive and friendly. However the management team seemed a bit abusive towards the staff. And the rice in our meal was really quite over cooked. I think this is something that shouldn’t be overlooked.

This is proper Japanese restaurant, always loved Wagamama. Specially this branch with nice and friendly staff. So kind and caring.Loved the taste.

Asian fusion made for a British pallet. It was good though. They had dishes that were a play on Viet, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean and more. Overall not bad!

Wagamama - An authentic Japanese restaurant. Love the atmosphere, vibe, people and food.I tried Chicken Gyoza and Katsu curry with sticky rice. This was mouth watering. Loved it😍

They have some awesome food. Good spices and good flavours. Staff was very helpful. Service was also good. All food was served in 10-15 mins. Really enjoyed the food.

We were a large group visiting the place and I’d ordered Pad Thai. In general,the others did like the food, but the pad Thai wasn’t that great. I did however enjoy the authentic Chinese green tea!

After walking around in town all day and getting rejected by a restaurant because we didnt have prior booking, this place felt like home...with great warmth and amazing food!😍😍😍😘😘

Great food. Nice place to try something new, food times are fantastic but the food comes as soon as its ready instead of at the table at once.

Vegan section menu but so overpriced! Maybe its because I dont eat out that often but I found the food to be ok. For vegan food, just a few vegetables and herbs in a soup bowl with a few pieces of tofu will set you back just as much as a meat dish. Staff were great though!

My favorite ramen in the Reading area. Many variotions but by far if you like pork and seafood the Wagamama ramen is the way to go!
