Brilliant Pub, Kitchen, Stuff and Atmosphere!

This city is so dead to the law about having to be quite. It was kinda dead but this is on of like 2 places in the whole city that doesnt close early. 2AM here.

Very Nice place. Good foods, drinks, excellent english and live music.

Great service and better food! They speak not only German but fluent English. Hamburgers are a great thing and the portion is more than big enough. Fully recommended. They also have a good selection of beer.

I ate at the Irish pub last night. We went there as a group because they had a great variety of beers and the menu looked quite good. I ordered the cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. The menu said that it was 200 g of Swiss beef. I think it’s normal that one would expect that it be a fresh beef patty, cooked on the grill to order, and served hot and juicy. What I got was something that was clearly a factory processed, pre-cooked and warmed up, almost inedible and dry piece of something resembling beef. The only reason that I ate it was that by the time it arrived I was very hungry. I wouldn’t be surprised if it contained some sort of soy filler as well. Even McDonald’s has better beef than this. On top of that I paid €26! I talked to one of the staff members afterwards and explained my concerns and she said that it was true that it wasn’t made there on site. When I pressed her to find out if it was processed beef she just simply said that it was not made there and insisted that it was “Swiss beef“. She also said that they were having a hard time hiring a chef. My view is that if a restaurant can’t hire a chef then they shouldn’t be operating a restaurant business. What do you think? Unless you’re just there for the beer or alcoholic drinks, or you prefer to take your chances with something besides a hamburger, I would definitely avoid this place.

No music - too clean - very far from any kind of Irish pub - its more like a tea room (and the owner has probably never been in an actual Irish pub)

The Pub was very nice. The staff was very polite and nice. I got the Burger wich was fantastic, it had a little to much onions. But overall one of my favorite restaurants.

The food was okay and the beer arrived quickly (and was at a good price). Our main problem was the time it took the food to arrive. Took about 40 minutes since the arrival of our drinks for our burgers to arrive, despite the place not being very crowded. The burgers were clearly overcooked and we were missing some essential utensils and items. The waiter did an alright job but the situation in the kitchen and preparation of the meal was horrendous.

The waitress was extremely nice and was very attentive. Throughout my meal the manager even checked in to see how everything was going. The food came out quickly and was exceptional. I had the burger w the countryman’s fries. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Good selection of local and typical beers available for all to enjoy

Great addition to Engberg...been open a few years now and a real local feel! They have a separate room for smoking and pool, sports are on tv but not overbearing-noise is often off so you can easily chafe with friends. Food is very good and for Switzerland excellent value.

Good place to take a beer or drinks. They have billiard. Good time with friends.

Theres a large selection of drinks for almost every pallet and friendly staff. One billiard table, very clean bathrooms and even during busy times you can carve out your little corner of pub heaven, theres enough space.

Such a nice place to chill out, have dinner and some drinks! Brilliant waitress as well, very good English.

Very ordinary irish pub. Frustrating & slow service.(Whilst there was plenty of staff, they need to remember to look over the bar occassionally and actually serve people. And not run off mid serving to deliver food. And not forget where the card payment machine is. Etc etc..)

Terrible customer service by the manager, the food was alright and it costes 8 Francs for tap water.

Only thing Irish was the beer! Very disappointed!The food menu was small, not a lot of options. The service was poor and everything was extremely overpriced.

Very mediocre food at high prices (even for SwitzerlandHad wings and fries, fish n chips and chicken fingers and fries. Was charged 8 chf for tap water and told that was normal. Dont know if that is true but had a very nice dinner at Restaurant Ende der Welt the night before and was not charged for tap water. Our food was over 100 chf so its not like we were free loading. The place calls itself an irish pub and I did not see any pub staples on the menu. They were even playing American country music.

Best place for casual eating and drinking in town! And we heard the nice lady serving us speaking at least 3 languages and having a great time checking all the tables were okay. Good food, good price!

Stopped off for a beer late afternoon, quiet, background music a bit too up tempo, risked a couple of Guinness, not bad but 8CHF each, same price for beer in other bars I guess
