sala ayutthaya in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya
Description
This time I only visited this place for a lunch. The hotels restaurant Eatery and Bar, has a great scenery, View is Superb! You can see Putthaisawan Temple. Food is normal, nothing bad, nothing outstanding. Worth visiting for its View. Friendly Stuff ❤️
MoreIt was my first experience staying at a hotel in Ayutthaya and choosing to stay here first. I want to say that I am impressed with the service from the front of the hotel and the service of the staffs. Not like the reviews on Facebook that say the service is not good at all. I want to say that if I come back to Ayutthaya will come back to stay at the hotel again Thank you for the excellent service of all staff. Nice hotel view and delicious food. Simple bar is best for relaxing. will come back again :)
MoreI ve been here twice already. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Room is spacious and well decorated. We stayed in a river view room and we totally loved it! We asked staff for honeymoon setup and its all well prepared. We dined in the hotel which has river view. Food tasted ok (3/5but bit pricy.Overall i would recommend this place. But better check the parking lot as well as there are few in front of the hotel.
MoreSub standard, not a premium experience, confused management, not enough parking for guests, outside atmosphere is cheap with flocks of tourists and chaotic families, and food overpriced and not fresh.1. Broken glass found in the room (one of the larger rooms). They were very small pieces on white cushioned seat, like grains of sand, very dangerous. I didnt see it but felt it on my skin sitting down. (In the photos I had already cleaned up the bigger pieces and just remembered to take photos. I moved the tiny pieces up on the wood for better visibility.)2. Limited parking which became a huge problem during a local holiday (not even a day-off, but a single-day festival- so you are asked to park 20 min walk away. Any pretense of high-end experience ends here when you have to choose between walking more or less a kilometer from the "hotels extra parking", or taking a motorcycle taxi back which means you will smell of sweat and good luck if it rains. Uncomfortable unloading stuff from car with no space to at the front door.Another parking alternative: they said its ok to just park up front among many packed cars and, without warning that this would be the case, will knock on your door/call you to move your car as needed, doesnt matter if you are unpacking, resting or showering.3. Large families and photo takers hoard common spaces like pigeons in public squares and will stare you down if you walk into their territories like they own it. It is unsightly.4. Food is overpriced and not fresh. I ordered some sort of deep fried appetizer and the inside filling was still ice-cold. Fish and crab smelled very old.One positive:1. The interior decoration of the room I stayed in was good and the large bathtub was enjoyable.Stayed in 2021 when my favorite places were full.
MoreI and my friends had late afternoon meal here . It will be better time after 5 p.m. due to not to hot from the afternoon heat and watching the sky turning and the lighting from the jedi of across the river. Food is average but the atmosphere is great. Parking is limited but you can park your car at the public park near by. The tuktuk taxi will guide you the way and shuttle you back to the restaurant. Pls. Book the table in advance to get the good seat. There is a roof top bar on the building you can stop by .
MoreI stayed Room No. 7.I enjoyed a nice view from my room, but there were some issues.1. Bathtub water is lukewarm.(Even though there was a large bathtub, I couldnt enjoy it)2. poor drainage.3. The part that holds the shower in place was broken.4. It was noisy with some guests until midnight.5. Terrace was not cleaned and could not be used.6. the blinds are brokenI think it would have been a better stay if the above were improved. Considering the cost of stay, I felt it was overpriced.
MoreLimited car park. Overall, nice service.
Amazing review view with Wat Phutthaisawan from dining place.Limited parking lot, but offset with good services from the guard that would help to arrange the parking lots till restaurant servers. Recommend to book your riverside seat at sunset time for dining upon or before check-in. Dining was great, they are good in Thais menu.Breakfast was good with a lot of sides come with pick 1 Al la cart menu.Room cleanliness is average some may not well clean on floor or shower area , but clean comfy bed and big bath tub are offset.Pool was a bit dirty at time I was visit eve not a raining day, but surrounding sofa was good to relax around.
MoreLandscaping is very good. You will see a temple across a river which is very beautiful.
MoreHere it were good view and relax. Food is was good i had ordered Khao soy BB Duck ….. the crispy noodles it was too old ….it wasn’t reasonable price . I thought it’s not 5 stars standard!. Shame !!!
MoreFood price was not reasonable. View was average. Service of the restaurant was okay.
MoreSpacious Room with Bathtub in it. Unique design, feel minimalist. Limited parking.Ala Carte Complimentary Breakfast with River View. Good experience.
MoreThe unique architecture does whisk you away into a calm place. The view of Wat Phutthaisawan across the river is stunning especially at night. A river terrace view room with an extra bed is comfortable for three guests. Staying here is worth it for the atmosphere. However, I deducted one star because the aircon in our room was quite noisy, and the airflow is directly on the face.
MoreBeautiful hotel, with amazing views. Very professional, courteous and attentive staff. Stayed in a gorgeous deluxe river view terrace room. Cant wait to visit your fantastic hotel again!
MoreVery comfort stay, appreciate with staff service and on top of things I impressed for bedding especially for the pillow. Very nice and delicious breakfast.
MoreThank you so much for giving us the room with direct access to the pool. Our son was so happy!!! We really enjoyed our stay. And one more thing: the tuk tuk driver you booked for us was really pleasant, always smiling :)
MoreHome-like roof top&lounge.Well prepared dessert.Nice view of Chao-phraya river and buddhist temples.
MoreBeautiful boutique hotel in Ayutthaya. It is located next to the river, so you can have some great views of the nearby temples from its restaurant. The staff is really nice and helpful. As for the rooms: new, great design, clean and spacious. If you want go to the main tourist attractions in the city, it’s just 5-10 min ride by taxi (30-40 min if you want to walk).
MoreLuxurious hotel Ive ever done. Really happy with my stay here.
Nice room, delicious breakfast and friendly staff, including security in front of the hotel.
Moreits a 1 star service and restaurant that charge you for 5stars, food is shocking for money, service slow and hairs we kept finding in breakfast worst 19000thb I have spent in less than 12hours, we cut-out trip short.
MoreEmployee service is excellence.Design property is photogenic.Restaurant is great.Breakfast is good. (May be need option to order in room)Bathroom is very old it make me feel unclean need renovation.Complimentary is less than standard boutique hotel compare with other hotel in same rate. Normally this rate will allow to use all things in room e.g. bathbomb, snack, drinks and unlimited drinking water.I choose Sala Ayutthaya as the location to stay because I expect to staycation for 1 day but this experience make me a bit disappoint as I comment above. If I compare with other hotels in Ayutthaya yes this place is better than others but if I compare with other hotel in Thailand with the same rate. This place is not a choice for me to pick for stay. Im not complain on any service due to employee service is very excellence but room make me disappoint.
MoreThis time I only visited this place for a lunch with my family. The hotels restaurant, Eatery and Bar, has a great scenery. You can see Putthaisawan Temple, which is located on the opposite bank of the river. The foods are great, so do the prices 🤣🤣, but they worth it, both tastes and the opportunity to take photos with nice scenery.
MoreGreat hotel with a gold view of twmple across the river. beaware bathbome (bubble bathin the bathroom didn t free.
MoreThe car parking arrangements are poor. A top class hotel should have enough spaces for guest who are paying for the service.Western food was inavariably served cold.
MoreStrongly NOT recommend to stay here!!!!!We stayed here one night, we had very very bad experience about the front staff. Never had this bad experience in whole honest thailand.ADVICE to everyone: DONT GIVE TIPS IF YOU CANT GIVE BIG AMOUNT, otherwise below experiences maybe happens to you also!!!!!! Our tips gave to staff :PETE (I think he is not helpful at all).We hope they are not purpose delay our departure and hide our stuff. BE CAREFUL and pay attention to your belongs. You can check your CCTV on 24th May 2022, 5:20pm, he just sitting in front of the reception, looks like non of his business when we left the hotel. Not honest: We passed 6pcs items to them, they only give us back 5pcs, after we checking and asking, they took out our NO 6 item: LV bag.Not helpful and cant be trusted: we are in the bar waited our car coming, and we informed Pete to let us know once the car is there. He said yes. Our car waited outside for one hour, and no one inform us the car is here.No proper parking place: Based on our driver, the security guard keep asking him to move the car few times, but no one inform us the car is here. They just kept us waiting inside.I think the whole place doesnt worth a trip to go there with such service and bad experience.这样的服务水平,不像四星级酒店,感觉就像路边的无星级网红酒店,旅行体验太差了。
MoreGreat place to stay on a vacation. Nice view! Breakfast is so-so. However, we found a limited space of a carpark. When the carpark infront of the hotel was full, we needed to park at other carpark which was dark and quite far away from the hotel so we felt a bit unsafe. Apart of this issue, all are ok. The staffs are friendly and have a good service mind.
MoreVery good experience in the old town of Ayutthaya. The hotel has limited parking space but overall; everything was great!
MoreFantastic restaurant on the river in ancient Ayutthaya. Delicious food and drinks. Not for the back packers. Reasonably priced but more than normal.
MoreJust stop by for lunch, the food is ok but a bit high price. Nice view temple on the opposite side.
MoreThey have amazing view ! Boutique style hotel. Hotel is pretty small and doesn’t have enough parking lot in front but you can give them car key and they will dive your car to their own parking lot. Hotel view is just stunning and amazing location! And foods are also very good ! As a pictures, those are our brekkie , a lot and worth money here ! Ps.stuffs are not so friendly, maybe because so many customers 🤷🏻♀️ but they take care you good enough tho.
MoreReally beautiful hotel with great river views and an insta-worthy pool. But food and service is quite terrible. Got food poisoning from the seafood pasta I had for dinner last night - I’m pretty sure it was the mussels. It’s so difficult to order drinks at the pool. Plates and glasses we left at the pool from our order last night was still there the next morning at 10am. And Ploy from the breakfast service was particularly rude. I really hope management can fix this… what a shame.
MoreWe had lunch and food was really good with very calm and peaceful river front view.
MoreHad meal overlooking the river - more expensive than most places but great back drop
MoreDidn’t stay at the hotel only ate in the restaurant. Had the sea bass, Tom yung gung and sum tam Thai which was good but the food and service didn’t warrant the price paid. Outside dining chairs and tables needed cleaning and service seemed overwhelmed for the price.
More🐟 chargrilled sea bass🦐 grilled prawn set🥘 beef massaman curry🏠: @salaayutthaya📍: Ayutthaya, Thailand📝: Sala Ayutthaya Eatery and Bar is a delightful Ayutthaya riverside restaurant and bar with both indoor air-conditioned dining area and a picturesque outdoor dining deck with breathtaking views of nearby temples and river life.❤️: My favorite was absolutely the Chargrilled Sea Bass—whole fish on the bone, cooked Thai style, brushed with lemongrass, chili and ginger, wrapped in a banana leaf and chargrilled. So fragrant and fresh, I think I devoured the whole fish myself. And had to get the signature grilled prawn since I’m in Ayutthaya, look at that prawn fat 😍.All in all, the food was SUUUPER PRICEY, a coconut was 195 baht and a bottle of soda was over 100 baht 😱.
MoreCute little boutique hotel. Only about 20 rooms I think but loft style mixed with Thai temple bricks decor. Nice Riverside restaurant and rooftop bar. Recommended if you are going to spend some time in Ayutthaya. Prices are high though but reasonable for the view
MoreWe booked a river view room and it offered one of the best temple view in Ayutthaya. Great staffs and they served you with a nice memorable breakfast.
MoreIts a even waste to give a one star. There were no any pictures on the menu so it was really hard to choose the dish. Staff introduced a menu on the website to use and when we decide all the menu she just told her that all of them are old menuis without any apologizes and not trying to help. It was all wasting time trying to find. Dont recommend this restaurant at all, the advantage was the only good view.
MoreThey have a very cool view. There is an temple on another side of the river. You can book the table that close to the river and dinner with your family or friend. The price of food expensive a bit but it’s suitable for food and view.
MoreBeautiful spot for meals with spectacular views of the temple across the river and tasty food. We had few items on the menu and everything was tasty including the drinks. Prices on high side but the view and food Makes it up.
MoreThe location, located opposite of the Ayutthaya period temple, is so good. The hotel is design in the modern style mixed with Thai architecture. I really love breakfast here that I sat near the bank of Chaophaya river. However, the toilet in my room is badly smelly. This point the hotel should improve.
MoreThe food was nice but quite mild. I think it was suppose to suit foreigners. But the atmosphere was lovely. Overall I had an awesome afternoon there.
MoreLuxury boutique hotel with high price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-fi in room could not log in. The room was well clean but the bed and pillows were not good for sleeping so I had pain in my neck and back in the other day. The swimming pool was so small, and easily slipped. There were many points for taking photos. The restaurant has both inside air conditioner part, and outdoor River view. The taste of food was good but the price was quite high as compared to the quality and quantity. The price of the room was double during the end of year 2019 til the coming new year 2020. I was really surprised while opening my room and found big bathtub at the center. I thought wed enjoy the fire works in the sky from this place which locates opposite the old temple but its not that we expected. So much disappointed. Theres no elevator or wheelchair accessible ways, not appropriate for the elderly peoples and the wheelchair users.
MoreI recommend making an advance reservation for the restaurant. I walked in without one and was initially shown to a seat indoors. But one of the waitresses was nice enough to move me to a table outside with a river view.Lovely ambience in the evening with the sun setting over Wat Phutthaisawan. Ordered the herb roasted salmon, which was cooked to perfection 💯Would stay at the hotel the next time I’m back in Ayutthaya!
MoreAwesome Hotel. Love the bathtub in the room outside the bathroom. Not a big fan of breakfast thou. Staff should pay more attention to diners if 1 is vegetarian and the other is not. They served both on the same plate :-(
More👎 The bad stuff first:1- The parking for big bike is sketchy, too small, dirty and feel unsafe. For car its good, when they have some available.2- The food at the restaurant at dinner is just correct but the taste pretty weak for the price asked. Lets say that 80% of the price is for the amazing river and temple view.3- they sell bath bomb in the room itself for 290b, and they add 10% for service charge ... kinda weird, didnt get any service 😅4- the pool is just good for photo, forget swimming there (too small)👍 The good stuff now:1- bed are very very confortable, room are beautiful and the cleaning staff are really good. Everyone will love the hugeee bath. (But please add smart TV)2- if you are into Instagram you will enjoy all the photo opportunity this place offer. Dont forget the rooftop lounge. But you dont need to sleep there to get all the best photo spot.3- the staff is not really experimented into luxury service, but they are all kind and do their best (really liked talking with the car parking security guard, cool guy)4- à la carte breakfast included with the room is delicious and they have many many choice.
MoreIt was nice to see this ideal place in this ancient city. It is very limited parking space only for few space at the front of the hotel. If you just visit restaurant, find parking nearby then short walk to get there. They have ancient temple view on their background on the other side of the river. So it is great for selfie or photography. Keep in mind when you visit on the weekend, there will be many of young groups take over the place for their photo shoot all around you. It was not peaceful enough to be relaxing. Visiting during the week would be better.
MoreComfortable room with excellent view that is even more charming at night time. A pity that the balcony is not included in the room type we chose. Western dishes ordered on room service are not recommended but impressed by the nice breakfast on their restaurant terrace. Friendly staff. Parking is very limited.
Moreas a boutique hotel with the price they requested for, it is definitely one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed. No privacy at all and the landscape is just so poor. Design itself is photogenic but nothing for the real users (hotel tenant)s experience. First room we got was dirty and then we requested for room change. Second one is acceptable but wouldnt call it clean.it is definitely indeed a great spot if you looking for riverside restaurant with the ancient temples cross the river. But the food is as bad as its space design. Hotel staffs are obviously having no service minds. The boat service is good (1.5hrs for 1400B whole boatand the driver lady is nice.
