roc Heights lodge in Lamin

El hotel esta muy limpio y las habitaciones son muy amplias sin dejar de lado que estamos en Africa.Omar su director nos facilitó mucho las cosas asicomo el staf. El hotel esta cerca de la playa y en una zona tranquila. Sin duda volveremos.

Jai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour au Roc Hejghts. Je ne parlerais pas des grandes chambres et des lits confortables et reposants. Je mattarderai sur tout ce qui est humain dans cet hôtel. Avez vous déjà eu accès à une bibliothèque fournie dans un lieu dhébergement? Ou bien les lieux et heures de culte? Et la je ne vous ai pas encore parlé du personnel! Bref...pour les séjour de courte ou longue durée du côté de Bakau, je ne suis pas sûr quil y ait mieux.

Endroit sympa, seul bémol pas de restau.

Family run with the most wonderful helpful staff. Omelettes made to order each morning. Rooms are huge and comfortable beds.

We stayed in a lovely, very clean and spacious room with a balcony overlooking the pretty garden. The room had the best mosquito net we have come across as well as air con. The only downside is that we couldnt get the hot water to work - we discovered on the last day that there was a switch to turn the hot water on, located in the closet! (If you have the same issue ask the owner - the young guy we asked didnt know where it was but he was new and the switch was pretty well hidden). Breakfast was ok but very basic. There was also a nice, small pool although we didnt end up using it. This hotel is a couple of streets back from the beach but its only about five minutes walk. My advice would be to bring a torch - the streets are very dark at night (common across Gambia, not just hereand although we felt very safe it was handy to have a torch to walk on the sandy and uneven road at night so we didnt twist our ankles!The owner, Omar, is a lovely man and was very helpful when we arrived (we originally booked to stay at The Atlantic Residence but they had a problem with a leak so transferred us to Roc Heights).

Omar, thank you very much for the hospitality! You and the crews at Roc Hights Lodge are the best. I enjoyed every single day that i spent at Roc Hights.

Quiet, comfortable and Omar and his staff look after you superbly. Nothing is too much trouble.

First time staying here.I stayed for a month in a 1 bedroom apartment. It had a lounge and kitchen area, as well as a separate bedroom.The bedsheets andtowels were changed each day. The mattress was comfy, and there was a large bed mosquito net provided. My apartment had two ACs and Internet service was generally reliable.The condition of the furniture and general decoration was average, however more importantly, the apartment was kept very clean by the daily housekeeping service.Staff fantastic and always willing to help resolve any issues that arose, particularly Omar the day duty manager.Breakfast wasa simple affair, with cooked eggs if you needed them.All in all, a cosy hotel with a limited number of guests, unlike the noisier hustle and bustle of the Senegambia strip.Beach about 15 minutes walk, and restaurants about 7 mins.Will gladly stay there again.

Great little hotel. 10 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. The manager Omar is wonderful, he will go the extra mile for youTOP TIP, bring a pair of shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, the “Road” outside is just a track. Also bring sterling, dollars or euros to pay your bill,
