Terrible focaccia antipasti, the most expensive on the pizza list (29chf), yet everything is cold and tasteless except the salt. Other pizzas were nothing special comparing with what you can get in a simple pizzeria in Italy, pizza base tastes like tomato from a can, cheese is not cheesy. Not to repeat!

Very nice authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Lausanne. Food was delicious and the staff are extremely friendly. Its a great value for money and offers an overall outstanding dining experience. Would definitely recommend if youre in the mood for Italian in Lausanne.

Its ok... clearly not been renovated in years and is very tired. Although its popular in the region, it has long since lost its charm. And prices arent particularly competitive.

Super crowded place, reservation definitely recommended on a weekend or holiday. We had a pizza, Milanese risotto, and a kids steak. The risotto was really good, but the pizza was just average.Service was pretty good, but a little slow due to the crowd.When we went someone had their birthday so the staff turned off the lights and brought out a cake which was really sweet.Prices were super reasonable.

Good! The bread is quite simple though and the carbonara could be more “homemade”. The staff seemed a bit agitated, but the environment is cozy.

Pretty good place. However my meat was totally overdone (i ordered medium- i brought it back and ask the staff to check on it. They refused politely indicating that this kind of dish is known to be pretty chewy meat. Proper response would have been to eat a piece but i guess they knew theyd risk a tooth or two.

People call this an institution but maybe its just old people tradition. Food wasnt great. Minestrone was very bland. Will not be coming back

This is the best pizza I ever had in Lausanne. Prices are very genuine. I love this place.

I had langue de bœuf aux câpres with rice and vegetables and I have to say I was very disappointed. As I often have experienced in Switzerland, the sides was like a school canteen food. The cauliflower and carrots were very soggy and has no taste, the rice was so oily and also no taste. The main beef tongue was ok but the sides ruined everything for me. Maybe they do good pizzas and pastas but I don’t recommend taking anything with rice and vegetables.

Very good food. The pasta is delicous and you can get quite good tiramisu as dessert.

Really Italian Ristorante near by Lausanne train station, and also if the meal are adapted to Swiss taste everything is good. Owners and employees are really polite and make you feel home. They dont hesitate to.give you a second portion of your meal if the first one was not enough. It is always full of people. I love the pizza and last time I taste the Christmass beer was really good. I do raccomande it!!!

Food was delicious! The wine adviced by the bartender has been well appreciated by our group. We mostly ordered pizzas or pasta dishes and everyone around the table enjoyed it!

Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Switzerland. Great food at a very honest price. That’s a family business like you don’t see much anymore these days!

I’m not sure that I ate at the same place that the other reviewers enjoyed. On the basis of the glowing recommendations I spent money on what tasted to be pre cooked pasta in a thin flavourless sauce. This is Italian in name only. The limp lettuce swimming in salad cream was a parody of freshness. Italian cooking was lost in translation as it crossed the alps.

Awesome and lovely place with friendly and helpful staff. Pizza was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Tasty olives are added as a free starter as well. 4 starts are because the place is crowded and you should have to wait for the waiters to react on you (at least when you came alone)

Great food, a bit noisy (and it was us who made the noisebut the staff was great and made no problem about it. Their homemade pasta is awesome and they have many variaties.

Le Milan is one of the hidden gems of Lausanne. The food/service are excellent. The prices are extremely reasonable for a full-service restaurant in Switzerland. The atmosphere is casual. It is a neighborhood restaurant but is worth the trip if you do not live in the immediate area. I recommend it both for lunch and dinner.

Great service. Excellent food. I had the set menu (to make my life easier in choosing!and it was excellent. My colleague had a pizza which he reckoned was the best hed had in a while.There isnt an English menu but thats not an issue. On a mid week night it was full of locals which was a good testimony.It was even relatively cheap.

Good service but food is nothing special. Ive had much better pasta and pizza. We tried it twice to give it a second chance but were still underwhelmed

Le Milan is an Authebtix Italian restaurant / Café that has been around for 2 generations and is considered a favorite local restaurant of most Lausannois. They serve what many consider to be the pest pizzas in Lausanne. There other dishes, including pasta, meats and fish are outstanding as well.Average prices great quality food. Cant go wrong really.

Excellent food and awesome for take away pizzas. I would say sometimes the quality of the food and service is not ideal. But its not the standard. Ups and downs. It happens in all restaurants.
