Fade St, Dublin, Ireland, Dublin
Rustic red brick walled dining room with blackboard menus and dark wood furniture for a French menu.
Lovely atmosphere and food but service not quite right tonight.
Sunday brunch at its best. Lovely ambiance and laid back vibe. Dont be in a hurry!
DisappointedI am disappointed with food and service. Food was not tasty really, combinations of food on plate were just weird. I ordered halibut which was served in souse that was tasteless, fish piece was very small as well. Desert was tasteless as well. I ordered Baba type of pastry with rum, etc... so to start with forks should be served to eat as it was hard to eat with spoon, second it was served with splash of mango and coconut ice cream...honestly very unusual and not matching add ons Im afraid. Place is really loud and very dark ( unable to read the menuWe were told we can stay as long as needs be after which we were handed a bill ( to leave very soon. Place is expensive as well. I would not go back
Fantastic restaurant which turns into a hidden gem late at night and becomes the best nightclub in town on the weekend.
Thanks for a fantastic lunch yesterday with the family. Jenny and crew, you were amazing!
Friendly service. Delicious food. Nice place to have lunch. No rush to get you out.
This restaurant doesnt deserve its name "LGeulton", which means a very rich meal (if not a feast). The portions were embarrassingly tiny. You can see the lamb dish in the photo. There was literally 2 pieces fighting each other. Its almost as if they are trying to squeeze 3 plates out of 1 lamb rump. Lets not even talk about the 1 and a half potato served with it.The steak, not in the picture, had a lot of fat and ended up being a disappointment as well. The fries ordered as a side were swimming in oil.The cherry on the cake was the Price of it all :30 euros for the 2 slices of lamb50 euros for the steak.Just writing this review makes me bitter. To the customers : expect to be paying for a very high end restaurant while having to order extra food (and spend moreor still be hungry when you leave. Hence why the name of the restaurant is a cynical joke.To the restaurant :step up your game : serve an actual rump of lamb and more potatoes. Pick steak with less fat. Or else adjust your prices.Either way, I probably wont be back, because other restaurants in the area show more respect to their customers.
My second time here, and I couldnt say how glad I am to be back. The food was amazing, so tasty, staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the steak tartare and also the steak and fries, yummy.Cannot wait to be back ;)
Nice atmosphere, great food, friendly service
Delicious french cuisine! The restaurant has an indoor terrace, heated and very comfy. The food is good and they offer a seasonal menu, however you can find the classics each time you go there.
Nice lunch, very expensive. The fries are really very substandard, overcooked, soft and greasy, very unappetising. It should not be hard to present really good chips
Older bouncer has a superiority complex, I watched him manhandle our friend by the neck who was in no way a threat, refused entry to several girls (who werent drinkingand was arrogant the entire night.
Staff were very friendly, respectful, informed, helpful and still casual and informal really helping the atmosphere. The food and drinks were incredible. Highly recommend
Best meal we had in Dublin. The steak was delicious and so was the cloud cocktail. The waitress was so lovely and really went out of her way, highly recommend.
Good place for an easy calm and relaxed evening. I prefer to sit out and have a few glasses of wine before going in for food. Good wine list, although their collection of beer is a bit restricted. Food is good but the staff is amazing. I will go again
Great atmosphere and food. Limited food selection, so check online offerings before you go if you have a selective pallet. The food we ordered was fantastic! Im rating 4/5 mainly due to limited selection of food.
A great place to stop for a good lunch experience, traditional french cuisine, excellent service, open plan dining room, only complaint: over salted spinach which was duly noted by my server, otherwise very tasty food. Will be back.
31/7/22 Back again after three years, and nothing has really changed at L’Gueuleton, staff were nice, ‘terrace’ is nice, food is quite good (apart from some chewy prawns). But it just wasn’t working for me this time, it felt too expensive for what you got, and wasn’t quite as tasty as it should be. It might have just been my mood on the night but I’m dropping from 4 to 3 stars.5/10/18 Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, great people watching on the pavement seating outside, and dancing after dinner at the weekend. Lots of fun to be had!
I was in the restaurant last week and since we arrived, we were very well treated. It didn’t take much time to be seated. The food was exceptional, and the waiter, Marcos, was lovely and super friendly, all the time coming to us to ask if we needed anything else. That’s definitely somewhere my friends and I will come back to.
We was company of 4 and we had great time. Food was delicious, prices are medium which is OK for locations. Everything was clean and well maintained. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we need to wait some extra time for drink service. They been a bit lost with serving the drinks. But allover I do recommend this restaurant and definitely Ill come back again. They deserve it...
I visited LGueuleton yesterday, and it was a brilliant experience! A waiter called Marco helped me through the whole experience! He was lovely and very willing to help!
Ordered a steak, medium, it arrived medium well plus, nearly well done. I pointed it out to the waiter. I refused to get another steak cooked as I hate to see food go to waste. My bill arrived. It was not that they had charged full price for the steak but the fact they had charged me for extra bread for the cheese board that annoyed me. €2 for bread when I was clearly unhappy with my €38 steak. Retrospectively I should have sent the steak back and cost them the money. The staff also made it feel like a huge deal to get one of the 40 empty chairs they had inside for a friend to join us after the meal
Delicious food and drink. Lovely place to have a nice meal or some cocktails and snacks. The lamb melts in your mouth, and would highly recommend the beans to share amongst the table. Loved the goat cheese as well but should come automatically with bread given the amount of cheese (annoying you have to pay extra for it, but it’s worth it and I’m glad our server advised us of this).
Every Saturday night that I go there I get the best service. Bar staff is just wonderful. Great atmosphere, delicious cocktails!
Sunday brunch here, two weeks ago,was disappointing as had heard great reports, friends omelette over salted, gnocchi was cold n my eggs benedict was,,just okay. Seemed short staffed, though cocktails were good and extensive wine list
5 people squashed at a table for 4. A bottle of prosecco ordered a week before and paid for but not on the table and on the bill to be paid for again. Food delicious but attention to detail lacking. A bit disappointing for a special occasion
Such a great place! Fantastic location, wonderful vibe & the service was excellent. 😊 Would easily recommend
Lovely food really chilled place good vibes il be back!
Music was so loud we had to shout at each other which isnt ideal for a romantic french meal, staff never came to us even once to check if we needed anything else. Paid 120 euro for two starters and 2 mains. Wont be back Im afraid. I feel that restaurants in Dublin in general Dont seem to care if customers return as they know theres an endless stream of tourists.
The cocktails and food were absolutely delicious! So lovely to sit outside with the beautiful lighting and outdoor heaters. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back here again
Very nice place! Very nice and innovative cocktails! Their nibbles sounded so good! Maybe next time!
Staff rude never checked to see how our food was or if we needed anything ... overpriced ... when my partner left a tip out of good manners, the waiter just walked off without saying thank you or goodbye... a lot of customer service training needed.. wouldnt go back again and a pity as I love French cuisine
Could be good but the dance music on full blast at 14.00 on a Sunday is unnecessary and then being served uncooked and cold mussels in a sauce which bore no relationship to the menu didnt help. Onion soup and fries were good.
We dropped in here unexpectedly and had brunch outdoors as the sun was shining. Service was friendly, food was delicious, definitely a place to return to
Good breakfast, tasty and refined food
One of my favourite restaurants in Dublin! My family, friends and I have been to this amazing restaurant for many occasions. Cannot fault anything on the menu. All dishes are superb! Great quality produce and some absolutely delicious dishes! I think I may be addicted to their steak frites Ribeye and chips! Absolute perfection! I also highly recommend their french onion soup - the best Ive had outside of France. Great wine selection and cocktails. I also love the fact they now have their own little bar. Great outdoor tables too which are great for people watching on Fade St. Ill be back very soon! Still salivating about my last visit!!
The cocktails have such amazing attention to detail and the service staff are so nice 🙂
We just finished brunch. The food is astounding. When I first seen the menu I wasnt sure about it but we went for seabass, scallops and 3 different deserts and every bite was pure pleasure ❤️ My 5yo decided she has to tell the chef that everything was delicious and the fish was even better ☺️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND
If you’re a restaurant best to serve hot food, especially when theyre mussels. And turn the bass/dance music down when its 2pm on a Sunday. Onion soup was OK. Fries were good. Wine on wine list unavailable.
Pricey but really nice. Staff were really friendly and made myself and my friends feel welcome. We sat outside for drinks and there are overhead heaters so we werent cold. I recommend the blood orange orchard thieves. I also tried the loop de loop but didnt like it, was different to versions of it Ive tried elsewhere.
Had brunch last Sunday here and I can easily say it is the best brunch I have had in my life. The food was outstanding, the service was warm and genuine and the margheritas were out of this world. Cant wait for my next visit. John, 2021.
Lovely vibe, lovely drinks, lovely service! Just a bit on the pricy side.
Had a team lunch here during off peak time. There were about 20 of us. Very friendly staff. Efficient service. Absolutely delicious food. Would highly recommend the croque monsieur with fries or pesto gnocchi as main. They give you such big portions.....you will be very satisfied or in other words stuffed after a starter + main!
Disclaimer: This is a restaurant with a bar. We went there only to have a pint of Guinness and a bite to eat. I ordered something from the brunch menu (poached eggs and mushrooms on sourdough breadand the food was exceptionally fresh and tasty. Also the pints of Guinness were poured beautifully. Cant judge for the dinner menu, which is probably what most people come here for. But our purpose was served to full satisfaction.
Had a nice meal here recently. Food came out very promptly and was tasty. Staff were very friendly and efficient and as pictured, it’s a very nice space to eat in. Equally, I’ve been here on the weekend for drinks at night and the place is always busy and the music is great.
Booked this for a Saturday brunch. Which apparently was definitely not needed. There were plenty of empty tables. I had the eggs benedict with extra sausages. Which apparently is just one sausage! Would definitely say its a bit overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately my friend doesnt eat pork so his choices from the menu were limited. He ordered something with eggs and asparagus, which he said was just ok. Nothing special. Would say the food and service were average. Of course when its time to pay, the waiter is never near.
We went for Sunday brunch and it was OK. The potato hash and sausage was good although the potatoes were bland. The eggs benedict was tasty. The service was very poor - our waiter was unfriendly and snappy to us and to the other diners nearby. Everything seemed like a hassle. We probably wont return as a result.
Great spot to enjoy the Dublin vibe. Sit outside, have a cocktail and watch the world go by. Great menu of delicious food. Good service, good food, casual vibe, worth a visit
Great food and a lovely atmosphere. Onion soup is amazing and the steak was great too. Great service and friendly staff meant we had a very pleasant time. Would really recommend the French Onion soup and although I had the steak I thought the pork looked better.Great to have Hogans next door for a pint. So overall great food, staff and location
One word : Exquisite! 👍👌 Went there for a birthday celebration, everything was perfect, the ambiance, the location, the food, the service, the staff, the wine ! I highly recommend any dish with meat, French fries are very tasty. They have snails, which I love. They also do onion tart and onion soup, genuinely French 🤘
