kurasushi songjiangnanjing restaurant - Conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan
The desserts are really good at this sushi chain!
好吃啊!They also speak English and are happy to help anyone that is new to their restaurant.
Store is terrible 10min wait becomes 1 hour+ wait. Booking is apparently only real way to done here... Or just push in front like so many other people... Due to extreme wait times I would not suggest this as kid friendly.
Yummy sushiCompare to other sushi restaurants KuraSushi is one of the highly recommended placesBesides different kind of sushi you can also have soup (a vegetarian choice is also available), drinks (beer and juices are very fresh), desertsIf you plan to go there it is better to book in advance
Generous portions & strong ac. However, stairs to get to the front door in the basement was inconvenient.
Its delicious, the service is really good, but for me, its better to go for either cheaper or more expensive sushi place than this
Good fresh sushi with a twist. You can exchange plates for a chance to spin for a capsule gift. Kids friendly. Good cooked food and desserts as well as raw sushi.
A nice sushi belt restaurant with fresh sushi. Been here multiple times - the size of the nigiri fish differs each time. Sometimes it’s thicker, others thinner and it seem like it’s just the end scraps in the fish fillet. For dessert - the ice cream is good, but the Hokkaido pancake cake is pretty bad, not fresh, and overall quality even below supermarket mille crepes quality.
Very delicious. Many kind of sushi’s. My favorite is fried shrimp. Kind service.
The price is fair, taste is good, and they do self service payment.
No hesitation to get here, friendly service n nice vibe. Therere many kinds of sushi you can eat. Its fresh n superb till my tummy starts to dance, cuz soo excited to eat. Affordable price, start from 40~80 NTD per plate.
One of my favorite sushi chainThe amount of sits are relatively less compared to othersAnd seems to be a bit more narrow since it’s in the basement
Heavily flavoured sushi, very popular with locals. Only allowed one hour inside. Has a double conveyor belt and everything is automated.
Seems like the Food tasted better on our second visit. Maybe just my mood. Lol. Anyway, good sushi for the price. It will be entertaining for the kids to win random prizes.
Kura kaiten sushi is all over metro Taipei and New Taipei areas. I am very disappointed with this one on Nanjing East road. This location used to be packed every day. However, the low quality fish and other not so great dishes recently have turned away many cutomers. Its no different than eating sushi in 爭鮮.
Good value for the food and variety, the place is also clean with good serviceWill be one of my go to place when i want to eat sushi
DO NOT COME HERE. We took a number and waited an hour. The numbers were taking forever (5-10 minutes per numberand we were 20 numbers away. So we downloaded their app to monitor the number and grabbed a drink five minutes away. Then we see our number is 5 numbers away, so we start leaving. Then the number jumps up by 10! We rushed back to claim a table and they told us we had missed our number and the best they could do was give us a new number (wait another hour)!Needless to say, this is insane. So much for making customers happy. We waited an hour and got denied a table because we werent present the second they called our number. Never coming back!
Love this place! Booking is a must except if ur planning to wait for over 30min or even 1h on weekends or dinner time. I was disappointed on my last visit though as the desserts were not on the menu anymore! Get the desserts back!! Give better toys!!
Great service and very clean restaurant. Its located at the basement floor right next to the mrt exit. Staff is very friendly and food is fresh. I advice to book in advance through their app because if you just show up its very crowded even on regular weekdays
Quality is very average but it does have a good variety of dishes (in Taiwanese standard). Lines can be long during rush hours. Try to come early. It is really not worth the wait.
Awesome sushi. But they usually have a long queue, my problem isn’t with the queue itself but that the staff won’t tell how long it is, so you are expected to wait not knowing if it’s 20 minutes or 1,5 hours. Also the staff greet everyone so loudly and announce the number in a mic. So the place is overall VERY noisy.
I stayed in the hotel nearby and walked pass one night seeing very long que waiting for the seat so i decided to come back in the morning around 11.20. Beating the que for lunch and just want to check whether why it is that good. It actually quite good considering the price. Some item can be called cheap and the quality is excellent - you have to choose. Some items were so so but overall experience was very good. Finishing more than ten plates and only billed 560! Service was nice and attentive too.
A Japanese chain restaurant that knows what theyre doing. Every 5 plates of sushi gets you a chance to win their exclusive keychain is a good gimmick. The staffs at the restaurants are very well trained like all Japanese chain restaurants. Sushis fresh but nothing too special. This is weird but Im mostly there for their yummy Hokkaido soft serve ice cream.
Interesting sushi plates, automated order, food delivery and plates return. Average price per plate is about 2 SGD. Theres a game chance with every 5 empty plates returned. It was fun even though we didnt win any prize. I liked the eel sushi, other sushi were fresh.
We arrived before 1130 and were seated right away beating the lunch crowd. About half of the booths were occupied and it was about 3/4 full by the time we left. The booths are big enough to accommodate 4.The food was fresh and our orders arrived within 2-3 min after we order from their touch screen.Between the two of us we ordered about 15 plates which gave us 3 tries at their lottery game.Place was clean and comfortable. We’ve visited their flagship store near Taipei Main Station before and this place is smaller but overall was the same quality experience. Our lunch was ~NT$6-700 which is reasonable considering. Would recommend to friends and will return again. This was right outside the MRT exit 8 around the corner on the green line so very convenient if you’re taking public transportation.
Uni no good.... =wait line takes an hour +... =Food... all same price makes the wait worth a bit.I wouldn’t come back because I don’t wanna waste my life on okay-food.
This place has a super long wait, so get there ahead of time or make a reservation. Except, you need to download an app to make a reservation and it seems kinda complicated. This place is like a fancier Sushi Express. You can wait for stuff to come around on the conveyor, or theres a screen where you can order stuff and itll come straight to you. Everything Ive tried is good. As a bonus, for every 5 plates you order, you can deposit the plates into this contraption thing. If youre lucky, you can win an egg capsule thingy.
very fresh sushi and sashimi...ice cream is best for desert.. so milky
The quality of food is similar to Japan. The place is very nice also as the services.
Fun to beyond! It a digital self service sushi restaurant, everything is by digital order (from tablet), and you can order as many as you want, everything only $40 each plate, except some of the items is $80, but is super fresh, and it’s super fun! Recommend for friends and family gathering, you can also win some ball toy from the top of you. Super interesting!
During dinner time there usually is a long wait. Locals can make reservation on the app but for the non locals, the wait is well worth it. Plates on the belt costs 40NT and some are 80. Before going to your table, the host will explain how everything works. Every 5 dishes you put down the collector, you get to play a game. The prizes suck but the food doesnt.
Mmm delicious. The sushi here isn’t your typical sushi. They have a lot of their own unique flavors that I should do better in remembering. But anyways, the line gets super long. You can make reservations ahead of time to avoid the wait.
On a weekday around 1pm we waited around 30 mins. Great for kids. Difference with Magic Touch is that there is a conveyor belt from where kids can take the plates they like, but the screen is located above head height so kids cannot operate. The games you get every 5 plates are not interactive.
Service was great, soft serve was heavenly especially with cornflakes. Sushi fresh and generous. Game was fun but v hard to win. No we didnt win. Conveyor belt concept was v cool! Delivered straight to your table. Will come again if I ever return to Taipei
Such a fun place for sushi. Take from the belt or made to order is automatically whisked to you. Quite good value considering the novelty.
Love love love our dining experience here! Long queue when we got there at 11+am, but managed to get seated in less than half hour of waiting. Food was really decent and tasty, and prices are affordable. My favourite will be the seared teriyaki salmon which melts right in the mouth.
A fun dining experience! Food quality was good, as well management of the dining environment : bright, clean and welcoming. Staff were well-trained in manners and hospitality.Tip : they have an app (type in Kura Sushi in the Taiwan App storethat allows you to make reservations in advance.Overall: well recommendes.
The food is cheap, fresh and tasty. But the waiting time is indeed OUTRAGEOUS. Takes about 2-3 hours on a week day evening but you have no idea how long it will take but you basically have to wait there. First you can wait outside/upstairs, but when it gets "close" to your number you wait inside so as not to miss it and then another 15 minutes before your turn you stand in another line. It could be a little confusing at first since youre scared to miss your turn and theres always numbers being called and announcements being made. If not for the hectic lines Id be a regular.Apparently you can also make reservations through a special app they have, but still have to wait maybe half the time.
很喜歡炙燒系列的壽司♥霜淇淋也很好吃:D
A great place for conveyor belt sushi. When you order something from the tablet screen at your table, it zooms by really fast and stops right in front of you. After every 5 plates you have a chance to win a prize. The only reason I docked it a star is because of the wait time. The only way you can get a reservation is by downloading the app.
Very nice sushi train place. 40 dollar a plate. Most plates have 2 pieces. They also have cooked food like some Ramen and fried chicken. There was a long wait when we went. So make sure you make a reservation in advance. Sushi tasted good. Every 5 plates you put in the slot you get to play a game. I won once out of 4 times. Staff was friendly. It takes about 2 min to get custom ordered sushi.
Favorite sushi place in town. Fair price with quality sushi. Easy place to go for a quick, satisfying meal. Reserve in advance on the Net!
We wait the the line only 10 min. And we didn’t have a reservation. We came Thursday around 2 o’clock . Everything was delicious . I really like crunchy roll too much. Price was good. So if you are a sushi lover definitely you should come and try.
I usually only rate restaurants base on their food. However, due to the poor scheduling system of this place, after 2.5 hours of waiting, I still did NOT even get to try their food. They accept reservations as well as walk ins. So you will see two different set of numbers been called. However, it doesnt matter which method you use try to get a seat, the wait could easily be 1-2 hours minimum. And there a TONS of great restaurants in Taipei, and this somewhat equivalent to fast food quality sushi place really does not worth the wait.
3.5/5 the food is slightly better than 爭鮮. $40 ntd per plate, approximately 300~400 depending how much you can eat. The sushi quality is mediocre. Service attitude is above average. Store is relatively clean.
Really enjoyed the experience and the sushi was nice and there was a lot of choice.Ordering was really fast. I would definitely recommend reserving through their app as it was very busy. We had reserved and we sat down ten minutes later than our allotted time.
Cool sushi place. Can order from tablet and food is delivered right to your table via conveyor belt. 40NT a plate.
Went around 3pm on a weekday, got seated directly. Staff is friendly and it was nice that they could explain a little in Japanese (since we dont speak Chinese). There is a belt with random sushi and a belt for ordering things from the menu/screen. Ordered sushi comes fast, which is nice. You might not go there to eat fancy high quality sushi, but there is enough choice to enjoy sushi which makes you feel full for a reasonable price. Sushi is generally 40 NT$ / ~1 euro per plate.
Quite difficult to get in without a reservation, and reservations can only be made with their app, which is only available on the Taiwan App Store.Once you jump through all the hoops, its pretty good quality sushi with a cool computerised ordering system for $40 per plate. Better to go earlier in the day before they start to sell out of certain dishes.
we went for lunch but the place was packed... we didnt want to wait over an hour, so we just grabbed a ticket for dinner... enjoyed the day and then went back.wed been to similar one in Japan where the food tasted fresher...but the overall experience was the same to the extent of the service...kids will love helping to order food and sliding their plates down the chute...no infant seating, though (unlike the Japanese counterpart)
