Massive indoor shopping centre with high-street shops, food court, lakeside restaurants and cinema.
Wow ,Lakeside has grown sooo much since I last visited 11 years ago....I only had 3 presents to buy .Visited Ask Italian fir our lunch ...amazing staff, service, food unbelievably good and the special 3 desserts for £6:95 outstanding...my friends enjoyed Baileys expresso cocktails and I had a non alcoholic raspberry fizz...wonderful to be reacquainted Lakeside
Lots of shops and places to eat. Plenty of things for the kids to do as well. They had a Christmas fairground. We plan on coming back on an evening - can imagine it being really enjoyable.
If you like retail therapy, then you can overdose on shopping here. If you dont appreciate walking the full kilometre length of the Lakeside shopping mall and returning back another kilometer on the first floor with thousands of other shoppers walking in circles....then stay away!
The variety of shops, some familiar, some independent are welcome. The hiked up prices are pretty prohibitive. Its in the busy season up to Christmas so you may need to factor in an early lunch at the food court as it gets so busy.
Everything you need is here, nice atmosphere
So sad that many shops have closed and boards up . Not as lakeside used to be . Few new clothes shops. But for the average person paying £280 for a dress. Is way ott. Toilets , well one was broken , one was out of service , a 3rd just awful and the queue to get in to the ladies all over lakeside was a good 5. 10 mins queing . Incredibly busy . As you would expect in November . Loads of café and places to eat .. over all , gone down in my estimation
Amazing place to visit and get new experience its looks are impressing and have various quality shops for different stylish clothing and food restaurant was amazing visit and have beautiful experience
Many various shops and places to go to eat. Loads of space for parking, but the lack of lifts in the shopping centre is disappointing. Especially frustrating is the lift not working at any time between the station tunnel and glass bridge. Coming with a buggy is not an option then.
Lakeside Shopping Centre, is a large out-of-town shopping centre located in West Thurrock, Essex just beyond the eastern boundary of Greater London. It was constructed on the site of a former chalk quarry. The first tenants moved into the complex in 1988 and it was completed in 1990, being opened on 25 October of that year by Princess Alexandra of Kent, Marcus Bradford and Angus Ogilvy. New spaces in the red car park were added as in October 2019.The shopping centre, in addition to the retail parks, forms one of the largest shopping areas in a single location within Europe, with almost 2,600,000 square feet (240,000 m2of retail space on a site of 200 acres (0.81 km2). The community of Chafford Hundred has grown to the east of the centre since its opening. Its main rival is the Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe, Kent, just across the River Thames.
It’s very interestingYou can spend one whole day such a big shopping centreLots of fun clubs for children Adventure ParkShopping for Big brands stores
The shopping mall is well organized, with a very helpful security team and a wonderful atmosphere.
Exceptionally well-kept and clean; excellent shopping experience. in particular with FlashFix.
Very large shopping centre with lots and lots of shopsEasier commute via C2C if travelling by local transport. Lots of parking is available for people coming by car.Food court also have very good options incl Five Guys, Shack Shack, Taco bell, KFC and many moreCoffee shops are also placed at many places throughout the 2 floors
Its been a very long time since Ive been to Lakeside shopping centre and I was pleasantly surprised. More shops than I remember as well, a lot less empty units.
Brilliant shopping centre with all you could possibly need. Especially happy with the range of restaurants here. Great food options for vegans.
The 4 stars are for the shopping centre, Id give 5 star for the outside. Why not go outside Lakeside shopping centre, theirs Decathlon, Evans bike shop, Matalan, Asda clothes, massive Sports Direct, and lots more with parking everywhere
Love going here as you can find almost all the brands.Just a 15 min drive from my place.Clean environment + plenty of space for parents room.
Definitely better than Westfields. Parking is free and spacious. Lakeside has restaurants there on the outside bit and they have puttshack which is a cute date night. Cocktails are amazing!
Great place pleanty of cafés retail selection food Hall on the top level parking may be limited now due to the close proximity of the railway station look for terms and conditions before parking otherwise its free
Fun climb wall is good place for kids and children to enjoy the climbing.
Loads of parking, getting in and out can be challenging at peak times as its so close to the Dartford crossing.
Shame I live in Kent… otherwise I would visit more. Lakeside is very clean and lots of parking spots to chose from. Shops are a plenty and can find some good bargains.Retail park is close with lots of other shops and car dealerships too.
It’s a nice large shopping center with plenty of variety. Nice that it’s has all the other facilities that are kept in good state, like the toilets. The snack stalls in the middle of the walkways is a good idea.Going during the weekend is always a little dicey, finding parking can take time and inside the shopping center it can consist of navigating around a lot of people. Always better to go during the weekdays. The biggest downside is the food hall. Good luck trying to find a table during lunch time and a hour either side of it.But not a bad place to take the family shopping to get a whole load done in one go.
Havent been to lakeside for a few years ( before covidbut was impressed with it still.Your spoilt for choice for what to eat for lunch there. Was happy to find a Jo Malone shopAnd had a squirt of my favourite perfume.tonka and myrrh. Definitely on my Christmas list.
Always enjoyed going here. Got everything we need and with decent parking and a nice range of restaurants. Like the vibe/atmosphere at MK better though.
I liked it here. We went to a few shops and the service was alright. The parking was hard to find on some levels but some are easier to find parking we found it not difficult nor easy. And everything else is good.but unfortunately the lift are never working. We have never really seen these lifts working since 3 years ago so I would like the lifts to be fixed within the time we come here again.but also, there is a ikea and retail park right next to it. It is like a whole area. With the eatery as well. The shopping centre is very complex it has every thing here even with the Quay it has lots of attractions.even a cinema here also a gym and playground and a theme park during Christmas. This has been a very good experience.I would 80% recommend coming here.
Very large shopping centre. Theres everything from food courts to products and entertainment. Most popular brands are available so youd find all sorts of products at different prices. You can literally spend a day shopping. Its accessible by train and bus or you could drive. Its facilities are decently managed, I however had an issue with the fact that there could be clearer signage to help you get to whichever store youre looking for. Spending time looking for a mall board map was exhausting.
If the mindless accumulation of pointless stuff is in your remit, then I guess Lakeside fulfils that agenda. The proximity of all your desired high street shops, under the forever luminescent glow of strip-lighting ensures youre able to consume aforementioned stuff, without any risk of contact with something approximating nature.Lakeside is yet another church to purchases. It works in that capacity.
Lovely place to shopping away from busy central london. Under one roof all brands you can see. Clean and helpful staff in the mall
New hours are 9am-9pm which is fine. It’s the opening times plastered around the centre & the times that appear all over google if you search for their opening times. However, small print: ‘individual store times may vary’ so I’ve been sat waiting for 1 hour for H&M to open since 9am. Why do stores not have to conform to centre opening times? What is the point in being able to walk through a centre with closer shops? I remember working here years ago & shops would be fined if they closed early/open late and maybe you shouldn’t fix things that aren’t broken!
Love this shopping centre. Plenty of things to do and lots of places to eat along the boardwalk. They have awesome hot tub boats. Great multistorey car park.
Its was ok today. Finding parking is always difficult as staff take up most of the parking spaces. Most shops have put out all their autumn/winter clothing now.Im going on holiday next week so couldnt find any summery clothing.Food places were not overly busy when we went at around 1pm but service in most places in the Food Court upstairs was extremely slow.
Good shopping centre but lots of empty stores
Lakeside has a huge positive for drivers and it is free parking. Not having to worry about parking prices is a relief. The shopping complex is well laid out and has many shops that cater for most high street demands. Toilets and disabled access are decent and there are three floors for shoppers to shop. The third floor is food. Its clean and pleasant.
Hasnt changed in the 30 years Ive been going there. Maybe a smidge cleaner since the smoking ban. Plenty of shops to keep the Essex massive on the road. Could do with fewer people trying to sell you sofas and /or Sky subs as youre just walking about.
I do enjoy a shop around here but there has been a reduction of a place to sit for a while.
MY GO TO SHOPPING PLACE! Lakeside is absolutely shocking. The shops are very good, the activities that take place around Lakeside is amazing. I recommend it over Bluewater 100%. Great for parents and children as they have put superheros, which you can have pictures with. I love Lakeside with my whole heart, you should too!
Massive Massive Shopping Center.. you can find all the big names here.. Costa, Primark, Zara, Apple,Vodafone, Footasylum, MAC etc and another of fun center for kids, massive car park... nice place to hangout with the family.Had fun bowling 🎳 @ hollywood bowl.
Winter Wonderland at Lakeside was excellent. Almost nobody wearing a mask I felt like the exception. The big wheel, Bavarian food ie all the greats were all there. There was a queue to get in to limit the numbers. Took about 30 minutes and it was cold, so wrap up warm.Lakeside generally is a lovely centre, best outside of school holidays as it gets packed
Shopping Centre was absolutely fine. We went to the cinema and we waited over 20 minutes to pay for two bottles of water and a ice blast. The cinema wasnt full at all. It was the staff really slow, Wrong attitude to be facing customers. No energy at all at work. Once we enter to the cinema room to watch Bullet Train with Brad Pitt, the floor was cover in pop corn, and the seats we meant to be sitting dirty as hell as well.Ladys toilet were also very bad. One of the sink was full of pop corn as well. Not a pleasant visit to the cinema.
Good variety of shops, places to eat. Lots of parking. Noticed a few boarded up shops, lost Debenhams, Topshop and a few smaller stores.
Is huge shopping centre. Big space, quite quiet place, lots of children soft play, outdoor play. FREE parking are awesome!!Can even park indoor or outdoor.
Lake with inflatables makes it pleasant place to shop. Spend a lot of cash and then cool down 🤔
A go to shopping centre for East Londoners and Essex dwellers. It has most of the famous high street brands plus a John Lewis and Marks & Spencers.Luxury watches, jewellers, Tommy and Dior all there. For kids, there is a climbing wall (payment requiredarea and Nickelodeon to keep them busy. You can take a train here, station just right outside the entrance or drive here with free parking!Food court with decent choice but mostly fast food.
Ive been shopping in lakeside for as long as I can remember. Great place that has shops for everything. Cheap or expensive they have something for all. The kids love coming here to look at the lake and see movies. I like to come here when Im not working to visit the bookshop.
Great centre. So much choice and looks good at night when lit up
My fav place to shop and eat. Parking is free. Cannot stand Westfield anymore. Too many people there. Lakeside has everything and so much better space everywhere. Love the restaurants on the lake.
Like this place becuse have freeparking , primark , mcdonal ,kfc, burgerking, and many shops
The shopping centre is big with lots of stores. 3 levels of shops and on the last level you find the dining area. The centre has a nice athmosphere , clean and tidy. The parking lot is very big but still gets full on weekends. Down side with the parking lot are the signs arent to clear some points. The lake is nice you can rent small boats and just hang around the lake. You can spend good hours in the centre. Coming by public transport get off Chafford Hundred train station. Be prepared for heavy traffic on weekends and bank holidays. Best is by car. Close to the shopping centre are many other stores and eat-outs.
Great place to go. All the brands are in one place and you dont need to go elsewhere for shopping. On top of that parking is free for customers which is fantastic. Definitely recommended 👍!!!
