ibis Styles Linz in Linz

Used ibis Styles in Linz for a work trip, and was adequate for the duration of the stay. Friendly staff, good breakfast selection and good for an evening meal. The bar shut at 10pm though. Limited service on a Sunday. The rooms were spacious enough and reasonably well decorated even though some of the furniture was a little worn. Outdoor pool (that I didnt see anyone usingand a decent outdoor terrace too. Good location in Linz with quick access to the autobahn and to the city. Would stay again just for work visits but might look elsewhere for something a little more "characterful" if going for a holiday.

While the exterior and reception/ GF and corridors areas were cute and nicely decorated, the rooms were awful. The only reason I gave 1 star is because of the size (very generousand the fact that the windows were fully openable. Firstly, for a budget hotel to charge over 140 euros per night is outrageous. The entire room was finished in vinyl, including the walls in the bathroom and the skirting (!As an interior designer, the entire decoration of the room was horrible - poorly done and with little to no consideration to taste. The mattress was outdated and squeky, as well as the beds frame and adjacent bed side tables. After 12 hours of driving i didnt have the power to check the cleanliness of the bed and I am glad I didnt - God knows what I wouldve found. The communal corridors were carpeted with a cute carpet in line with the feel of the hotel, but the rooms were vinyl? The reception - only one of the receptionists spoke any English (I wouldve thought in any hotel speaking English would be mandatoryand the other one (the one that actually seem to know what she was doingwas very busy with all the other guests. The breakfast offerings were slim, but lets call them acceptable. Overall, I am glad I left there in the early morning.I was curious if this is something that Ibis consortium (or whatever it isis guilty of - but amazingly enough, no. The Linz management needs to learn a bit more about hospitality (budget or otherwise)PS: Just remembered something that drove me insane - there werent even a couple of glasses in the room! The bathroom was so poorly designed that we barely managed to drink water from the tap (the distance from the edge of the vanity to the tap was too great). Not to mention that in a bathroom this size (quite largethey managed to find the worst position for the toilet - facing a close enough wall! Take some notes from Luxembourg, Linz!

I have to say this hotel is the worst hotel ever! ！！！！I have never seen such a dirty hotel in my life!!!!Last night before I went to bed, I found some hair under the pillow. Then I checked all the quilts and the sheets, there were still some short hair over there!!! (Room 119）I was soooo shocked!!! I have never seen so much hair from strangers in one hotel!! Its really disgusting and gross!Then I went to complain to the front desk, the staff offered me to change to another room.When the staff and I checked the second room （Room 121，next to Rm119）before I changed, we immediately found that there were still two pieces of short hair just under the pillow! Unbelievable! Is it a hairy hotel???Then I changed to the third room （Room 128）which I also found out two pieces of hairy things but the staff who checked with me didnt admit they were hair. But there were really something dirty on the sheets, right?Besides, there are no hygiene bags in the restrooms!A hotel without hygiene!Last night I even could not fall asleep in this hotel but being angry! I cannot stop feeling everything around is dirty!All in all, I feel extremely speechless n disappointed! Its not acceptable!Obviously, I wont choose this hotel and the Accor group forever!!

Good location for transit, as it is close to the highway. The staff is friendly.But :The room was quite outdated :-the bathroom was quite old with mold on the bathtub where the silicone was off-The curtains had spots on them and the couch had hair, the shelves were dusty.We had requested a renovated room.
