Nice place very helpful at reception. The lady was very welcoming and nothing was a problem. House keeping was very busy and were doing a great job under the circumstances one small criticism for them was the table in our room needed a dusting. The service at breakfast was a little slack and after ordering eggs Benedict we were informed that there was no spinach which was not a problem but when it arrived it was supposed to be on sour dough not muffins and the belshema sauce should have been drizzled across the eggs not in a ramekin but never the less it was nice and well cooked.

A solid star Hotel (or 3-star motel). Room lights were pretty dim, wc and shower leaked. I wondered how secure the room was as I fell asleep to the sound of leaky faucets each night.Couldnt connect to the Internet via their WiFi 95% of the time.Our questions at the front desk, were answered with "the information is available on the information sheet found in the room". We of course needed to walk back to our rooms in search of the information.Was not inspired to take any photos of the hotel - so no photos to post.Honorable mentions:(+Kudos to house keeping for keeping the room clean (surprisingly).(+The room heater kept us sufficiently warm.(-Even though payment would be made through Expedia, a deposit was required. Unfortunately/fortunately, unlike in Australia, where I come from our credit cards do not require a pin for usage (and so I did not have one).(-We checked-in over the fathers day weekend. When we asked about the buffet, only the price was conveyed with no mention of what would be on the buffet line (though it was very special that the buffet was brought back just for fathers day). We were informed that only fathers would get a complimentary beer - and we would not be entitled to any. Not much incentive for us, travelling as a couple. Later that night, it seemed that the buffet was under subscribed. We received a call to our room to ask if we would like to dine there. Sorry... To late... Weve grazed elsewhere...

The accommodation was a bit dated, but nevertheless clean. I ate at the restaurant .. very good.

My third stay at IBIS Albany in the last 2 months. All the 3 x times, the aircon / heater not working. Once had to put up with a broken shower. Once the Wifi not working. This time the aircon / heater not working, kettle is not working and neither is the Wifi. The standard of this motel is worse than a third world one. Never will stay here again.

Very happy with our freshly renovated room. Shower with rain shower head was excellent! We enjoyed a beautiful meal in the Angus & Co restaurant. My husband had the Fish and Chips and the fish was beautiful. I added grilled prawns to the Green Goddess Salad, compliments to the chef! They literally melted in your mouth. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. No hesitation in staying here again.

Accor members you are better off at a non-Accor property, unless youre chasing status points.It is past its glory days. Front door needs weather and noise sealing. Appliances were from kmart. Mould in the shower grout. Leather on the chair was ripped and tattered. Cracks in the wall, and bathroom windows.

Stayed here for two weeks, restaurant makes great food.Rooms are alright. Good shower.They also gave discounted rooms to Anglicare for homeless people during COVID. 10/10

It was ok but we checked out after 1 night.Found staff a bit abrupt and when I asked about toilet roll which had not been replaced during room cleaning I was ‘challenged’ that it must have been replaced even though I was telling them it wasn’t.As an ACCOR plus member I found it quite rude.The rooms were fine but not worth the $300 per night rate.So we checked out and went to the Hilton as we were leaving prematurely I was then told they couldn’t refund the rest of my stay without me giving them a reason.

Worst accommodations have ever been down south, booked them weeks ago even called them to confirmed all the details before we checked in, once we checked in, went in to our toilet with a “broken toilet seat” , the toilet seat was completed separately from toilet itself !!!We have to put a towel in the between of the seat and toilet , otherwise would have sliding around and hit our bum on the toilet very dangerous!Called reception they offer to changed room , but we’ve already moved all out stuff in room . Very inconvenient and unthoughtful hotel !!!Offer to change the room wasn’t helpful as we are moving in room a whole family with kids ! Everyone is tired and stuff just wanted to rest !! The next day , a guy was fusing rooms and asked me if we still need to fix toilet and he changed into a new seat . Isn’t this should have be done before any guest experience all these drama …?Won’t come again for sure, won’t recommend here for anyone if you have better place to live !

Working a 13 hour day to come to the accommodation to be told there is no chef again 3rd time this has happened. When u have a semi trailer it isnt easy to get around town especially when u request u need a place to stay with a restaurant

A good old resort. Rooms are clean and tidy but the resort is due for some repairs as timber decking and stairs are rotting away and our TV wasnt working.Friendly staff and good meals.

Beds are terrible and its like they are the same beds as when the place was built. Everytime you roll over you feel the springs in your back. Chance the mattresses please. Another room 2 rooms up from me had 2 dogs in their room. Never seen that before a hotel that allows dogs in the rooms.

On arrival using the shower found that the taps don’t work well as in constant changes in water temp from hot to cold to boiling, the front door didn’t have weather stripping around it so you could hear everything like road noise and people talking etc. We Paid 287 + 200 bond for the standard room and the one we got was a supposed upgrade.. to the family sized room, the water pipes clanged all night keeping us awake. there are honestly better places to stay at nearly over half the price. 1 out of 10. The staff were decent though and offered to get the manager to call but by that point I was pretty over it

Went to Albany for a holiday. Booked two nights at the Ibis and paid $300 per night. I must say the room was only worth $150 at the most.2 singles pushed together to make a “queen”.Pillows where very big!Beds where hard and could feel the springs.The doona cover was 2 flat sheets - one flat sheet on top of a doona with no cover and then another flat sheet on the bottom.The noice was from the Highway 🛣 was so loud.This was not somewhere I would come to relax. Only if I was stranded eg; if my car broke down and I had no where to go.We checked out after the first night and found somewhere else to stay.

Be aware there is a $200 bond on top of the price of your stay. The room is clean, no bottle opener in the room. The girl at the counter was understanding and did they best she could to resolve the bond issue . She acted very professonal under the circumstances .

Room was clean. Outdated.Need ear plugs to get any sleep due to Albany Hwy traffic noise.Breakfast was good. Give the coffee machine a miss.

Fine if you get reasonable price. Did not see much of a breakfast option. Old and in need of updating. Close to two major roads so be aware. Friendly staff. Fine as an overnighter.

Didnt stay.Booked through booking.com paid via booking.comOn arrival found that they wanted to charge a further $200 DEPOSIT... for what...Then refused to return my paid booking. Never have I heard of such garbage.Do not recommend.Considering my day

My suggestion is find somewhere else to stay. No light in the bathroom, I had to fix the shower to get it to work, and no functioning TV remote. They charge top dollar for very little. On the positive side the chef who cooks dinner did an awesome job but that is charged separately. The room rate is far to high for such poor quality.

The management at this hotel are failing this place so badly. The poor staff are run off their feet. One of the busiest weekends in Albany, long weekend as well for WA, and they have two staff on the restaurant floor, taking orders, pouring drinks & serving the tables PLUS taking out the food to tables.We have waited for our food for ages, and then to be told that they missed my order (I was the first one at the table to order my meal)Now I’m left here looking at everybody else around me eating while I sit here hungry.Won’t be staying again, so disappointed.I have nothing against the staff as you can see they are trying their best, it’s the management. It’s all on you.

Disappointed. I had an upstairs room and did not get a comfortable sleep at all. The window to the highway was made of Perspex which did not attenuate noise from traffic, or prevent a draught coming through the room. I had also paid for the room prior, and after I checked out received a phone call an hour later from the hotel requesting my details to pay for the room again!It looks like the hotel might be going through some renovations, they can’t come soon enough!

For the price of our room$ 143. Plus $60 for a pet bond, the cleaning standard was extremely poor, mould in the shower cobwebs behind the toilet,cups with cracks, that required replacing. The carpet was warn and thread bare in front of the bathroom. Very poor condition of the room

Fabulous mixed grill and delicious Churros. Keen to visit again soon. Lovely to be in a restaurant where you can actually hear the other person talking for a change. Great service. Highly recommended!

We did not use the restaurant but the room was good. Very comfy bed and friendly staff.I read reviews saying the rooms upstairs at the front were noisy but we had one of those rooms and with the door and curtains closed there was no noise.

After driving nearly fours to book in at 2pm we had to wait nearly 3 hrs before getting into our room. Other members of the family and wedding were able to get into their rooms either a bit early or on time the next day.Our shower had mould on the ceiling and hair in the drain. The air conditioning system didn’t work either.The meal we had was nice though.Don’t think we will stay there again next time. We were just so disappointed.

I paid over 300 for one night in a room with no phone to even call or order dinner , running water in a leaky rusty shower beside our heads all night long and a rotten door. The room itself was dusty and not well maintained. The office lady was amazing though working the front office and the restaurant service area at the same time. They charge so much they should be able to source staff or at least a little maintenance. Also i ordered a well done steak and got one still mooing. Needless to say next time we shall stay elsewhere

Good position right on the Albany Highway, but totally disappointed with our 4 night stay on our 18 day holiday around the South-West. Everything, decor, furnishings & linen were old, outdated and in very poor condition and the two very old mattresses in our double room sank in the middle which made it very uncomfortable to sleep.The extra pillow I needed from the cupboard late at night, had been used without a fresh pillowcase which was really not nice.Tight, narrow car bays & intermittent Wi-Fi was a bit of a pain.We had a problem with the housekeeping regarding our bedding on our 2nd day from our return from our day out, requiring us to approach the manager with our concerns.The manageress was very approachable and apologetic and did send someone else to our room to fix the issues.Although we had a lovely time in Albany sightseeing unfortunately our hotel stay was a negative experience, not value for the money and would definitely not return.

Dont expect fancy or modern. Its more of a motel style. Old and overdue for a makeover. My room was musty, with old stained paint on the walls, there were mandarin pips on the bathroom floor and in the shower, toothpaste stains on the bathroom vanity and the desk chair was perished to the point that old bits of leather were scattered on the floor under the desk. This tells you how well the room was vacuumed and how well the bathroom and shower were cleaned. The 2 coffee cups meant for making coffee in your room were both half washed. One had old coffee rings in it and the other had old coffee on the handle. Bedding was clean. Staff were polite. Continental breakfast consisted of store bought bread, coffee, 2 fruit juices, ceteal and a fruit salad with brown mushy bits in it. Not sure if it was bananas. Plenty parking and being on Albany highway its obviously very noisy. For what you get it is extremely expensive. Not recommended at all.

It was an unpleasant stay in this hotel. I will not recommend this place.The staff in the reception was unfriendly to us when we questioned the clean service via phone call.We were told that we should go and ask the house keeper by ourselves instead of complaining to her who was in charge. The ridiculous explanation ended as the staff cut off the phone call rudely when we were talking to her.The WiFi is very poor. We barely can access the internet. All the equipment in the room are old. The old conditioner is extremely noisy and can’t sleep very well with the noise.

The staff get two stars to make this place the four stars. Rooms are worn and in need of a refurb. The brekky is a buffet, the bacon is local smoked and bloody excellent, the sausages local and excellent quality. Thanks reception and wait staff make this an hotel not a disappointing experience. Evening meals are designed to stave off hunger for a week and very well cooked and presented. Wine is the best value in any hotel I have been in....and that is a few. Fix the rooms, keep the magnificent staff and you are a 5 star Ibis.

A nice friendly country motel. Clean and tidy but showing its age, the furnishings in particular. The room I stayed in had worn out chairs. The colors are nice but dated. The air conditioner didnt work at all. Overall a comfortable room though as a heater was available and it was winter.

Good price, clean room, nice king-size bed.The showers were a bit dodgy - they couldnt decide if they were hot or cold, but thats no biggie.Anywhere else, and Idve given 5 stars, but my goodness. We were upstairs above the bar & grill. All day and all night, every couple of minutes a road train would thunder past about 15m away. If you stay here, be sure to pack earplugs. The room didnt shake, so that was a plus.Breakfast was decent quality. Staff were friendly.

Stayed there for two nights, Friday and Saturday. We got a beautiful room with a small porch. Staff are very friendly. Cleanliness of the room was very good. We booked the room including breakfast. We did not try any of their food other than the morning buffet. I, personally, did not like the breakfast and neither the coffee... I would book in that place again, great rooms with great value for money, but I would not include the breakfast.
