If you love traditional Durban curry , this is the place to go. The mutton bunny is the real deal ! A deluge of curry gravy to soak in your bread in, combined with a lot of flavoursome curried meat. You will not be disappointed. This rates one of the best curries I’ve had. Will definitely be back.

Love Curry. I order it everywhere we travel. The shop is small and charming. The food and flavor is magnificent. I remember eating curry in Pretoria at one of the top 10 Restaurants in South Africa. The food we had there cannot compete with what we get from Hungry Peter. Its a takeaway but you take a piece of India home with the food. Nice flavor-packed portions of lip-smacking food.

Best tasting Indian cuisine, very friendly staff and to top it all off, food prices are extremely affordable for amazing quality and taste. I will recommend anyone that visits Port Elizabeth to make a stop, and be ready to be Mesmerized, truly a destination to add to your travels.

Each time I visit this place, my expections increase of the quality of food and the service and to my amazement, each time I visit, my expectations of the food, service and chatter is surpassed. We got this place recommended by a friend. We ordered samoosas and they told us they have mince samoosas.Actually the samoosas tasted old and stale. Asking them about the samoosas they said it is actually soy and not real mince. Furthermore we took with us 2 bunny chow chicken. It tasted off.We went on a Monday so probably everything was leftover from the weekend. At least everything came out quick on the lou. Not going back again.

Who sells such great samoosa for R7 only hungry Peter.. hands down best curry in town.. the prices are so reasonable.. always back for more.. I love their bunny and butter chicken..Very friendly owner and workers.. keep up the great work..

Authentic indian food! Loved the garlic naan and butter chicken, plenty of curry to dip my naan in.The owner/chef was friendly and described the menu to us, and he gave us options on the spicy level of the curries. For european tastebuds, opt for the mild. And if you like a challenge go for hot! Really comforting food on a windy evening. ;)

We stopped past Hungry Peter today with a huge craving for curry and what we got the most amazing curry weve had in a long time, and to top it all off, it came with the best customer service and smiles.

Terrible tasteless food weare from natal and ate there will never go back as we know proper Indian food. We were introduced to bismillah take away in Malabar and they make proper indian food and roti not roti made with cold water. Bismillah food can be eaten by 2 people hungry peter kept us hungry. Terrible

Hungry Peter really makes you hungry. Food is authentic Indian. Best Indian food available in Port Elizabeth. Indian delicacies are finger licking delicious.Service is quick and friendly. Butter chicken was terrible. Curries tasted very watery. The prawn masala was more like shrimp masala. Rude owner. We do not eat beef and he gave us a beef samosa instead of chicken which he rectified only after.

Walked pass countless times yet somehow I found myself at the counter,and what a pleasant surprise. The friendliest and informative owner,not too bad of a wait for the amazing food that arrived. Flavorful,lovely presentation and very hearty. I will definitely be back and spread the word of this authentic Indian food being served with passion and class. A must!!

Great food and friendly service at this little Indian Takeaway at the Boardwalk Hotel complex. I had a divine Paneer in Red Sauce. Good vegetarian and vegan options.

Extremely disappointed when you profess to be an indian outlet for food, and you get a "curry" that any indian will laugh at. Suppose the warning bells were there & I shouldve known when asked mild or hot. The mutton bunny was nothing more than 3 small pieces of meat & a lot of bones thrown in what I would describe as a butter chicken mix. Very disappointing 🤨

Very bad service. The owner is disrespectful and does not have manners. Not the first time as it happens over and over again. Officially stopped buying there. Also had good that tasted a bit off especially the samoosas.
