fusion lounge pub & grill in Pietermaritzburg

First time visiting. We arrived early to take advantage of happy hour drink prices. After ordering drinks, we found our dinner selections. We ordered and didnt have to wait long for our food to arrive. The food was plated nicely and appropriately, having ordered garlic tots, chicken tacos and ho fun noodles. The food was good. I liked the flavors and the way the items were cooked. I have to say, the food and the service, were excellent. The atmosphere... Well, we just didnt find the overall atmosphere to be very appealing. There was some separation of booth seatbacks from the wall and the paint job wasnt competed well. It was fairly obvious. The food and service will bring us back for another visit.

Seafood and bacon Po Boy was very good. Also had the Pho Rito not pictured due to eating it so fast! Great food!

The staff were attentive and we got our order in a timely manner. The atmosphere was nice and the food quality was great. The food presentation was awesome as well.

Food is great, service is great. My wife had the Pho as usual because she loves it. They started a new Brunch menu so I had the chicken fried pork. Mostly good but the gravy was not. Very watery and just not good overall. Change that gravy recipe and its a winner.

Fusion has the best food! So decadent and their selection is killer!

Very good Pho, good draft beer we liked Num Num Juice which is a kind of IPA.

This place has become our favorite bar/grill in the area. Super friendly service, delicious apps, and a staff and bartender with tons of energy and sincere interest in the customer! Thanks!!

My hamburger was good. Fries were good.My wife loves all the funky plates.I think I will just stick to the burgers.

Wow! Even better than I remembered! I last had Fusion in 2017 & the food is still delicious but the service is even better. I ordered the pho & fusion shrimp this time but I dont think you can go wrong.

Been 4 times now and everytime it has been top notch.The last time we went we had probably the best. Waitress I have ever had anywhere, I wish I could remember her name but she took the order of 5 people with not needing to write anything down which was super impressive to me and not only that just gave the best service I have ever experienced at any restaurant.We will be back, easily top 3 restaurant in Redding.

My boyfriend and I went there today for Brunch all excited to try something new and fun in Redding but to our dismay it started with an empty parking lot, which is the first concern of any restaurant. Then we go inside, we’re promptly taken to our table by a very sweet server. We order our food, I order the surf and turf which has a two meat option and I asked for medium rare and got over cooked, fat ridden pieces of meat, it definitely wasn’t worth the 15.00 dollars. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, lacked flavor and happiness.

Absolutely fire. I would highly recommend this cool little spot. Also have a bar and sports on the tvs separate from the seating. Definitely check em out!

Went to this restaurant excited for their taco Tuesday and it was probably the worst restaurant Ive been to in a long time. The garlic fries left a puddle on the table from the grease seeping through the basket and the margaritas were so strong that it felt like we were drinking straight bottom shelf tequila. The food took an hour to come out. When we complained about the state of our food, drinks, and time they didnt want to do anything and when we asked to be comped a bit of the check they did it but slammed the check on the table and walked away without saying anything. Overall the food wasnt good, the drinks werent good, and our server was quite rude. I wont be going back!!

Love this place. Not a huge menu (which is good), but a pretty diverse selection. Everything is fantastic. If youre in town, definitely give this place a try.

Nice place, good food, waitress really good and pleasant, my husband asked for coffee she said they werent serving it at that time, five minutes later she brought him a hot cup she just had brewed for him and on the house!

I came here because I saw ramen on the menu. The noodles are 50 cents ramen noodle quality with broth drowned in spicy. The meat was hard and old tasting. Rest of the menu looked good. Ramen not recommended.

Awesome and unique dishes, great atmosphere, the food is crazy good, the service is off the charts kind and pro, just wish I could eat here all the time. I cant wait to try everything else on the menu.

Ordered appetizer drinks, another drink, food and finally another beer. The check came but not the third beer. Irritated with the check and waited to ask waitress, she finally brings the third beer. Food was ok.

Well....The service was awesome! Totally a great waitress but unfortunately the food was SAS. Cold limp pale fries. The chicken was great! I felt bad for thecwaotress having to serve it.

Amazing and friendly staff! Got the Fusion Burger and loved it. I was intrigued at how the restaurant marketed itself as a fusion of classic Asian and American food, but it turns out that it just means that a section of the menu are various Asian dishes and another section is American food (burgers, fries, etc). Would definitely dine here again, that burger was 👌🏼

Yaaaaas! SO good! We had tacos (as appetizers -had too! It’s taco Tuesday!), pho (I’m Vietnamese & a pho pro), and the fusion burger- EVERYTHING was delicious! Happy hour on top that with exceptional service and we are sold!

I tried the Fusion Rice Bowl, and it was ok. It was a beautiful dish, but I didnt care for the ground pork. The service was great, and the prices very reasonable. Ill definitely go again.

Our first time there was amazing. We got Ramen and a Phorito. They were both delicious. We cant wait to go back and try something else. The menu had a lot of interesting options. The servers were great too.

The staff were excellent, the drinks were delicious (specifically the Red Lotus), and the food was exceptional!!The egg rolls were the best I have ever had and served with some kind of Heavenly dark colored spicy sauce that I could have put on eveything. The drunken noodles were to die for!!

I went for the first time. It was taco Tuesday so I had shrimp tacos. They were quite good and had plenty of shrimp and crisp greens. Our server was fantastic. Parking was the only draw back.Ill be back!

The best grub in town! I always get the pho and you have to add the pork belly! The calamari is epic!!!! Great drinks, amazing food and super friendly staff! My all time favorite place to go in redding!

Excellent! We started off with Tater Tots and Fusion Shrimp. The tots came out with a very complimentary sauce we would all have again. Shrimp cooked to perfection with a batter and drizzle that... I just cant compare it to anything weve had, its in a league of its own. Garlic fries BOMB....seafood bacon po boy sandwich Bomb.... Melvin burrito, Bomb. Well be back!

Great menu selection and tasty food. The lunch special is really affordable and the staff was pleasant and helpful. I suggest getting the shrimp tacos!

I wish I had taken pictures! I will update this review next time I come through. I had the fusion burger and it was amazing. Need something that isn’t at a fast food place? I did. My brother suggested this place for my birthday after-party kinda get together. I was not disappointed. I had the pork belly for a starter, and it was more than enough. Shared it with a few people who haven’t tried pork belly. One of my favorites from BBQ places in Vegas. This style is a fusion as the name implies and so it was different, and very tasty. Looking forward to coming back and getting photos… if I don’t eat it first 🤷🏼‍♂️.

This place was pretty rad. Lots of interesting menu items. I got the chicken katsu which was just okay, but the bacon fried rice that came with it was bomb. Drinks were good. Service was great and friendly. Will definitely go back and maybe up it to 5 stars if my entree is better.

Went for lunch by myself. Sat at bar. Ordered 2 grilled shrimp tacos. Excellent. Especially the sauces. 😋Bartender was hostessing and answering phones, taking orders, bringing orders to people picking up! He got a little disracted because he seemed to have too many tasks. Had a Margarita which cost more than $8. Tacos. Interesting menu. No atmosphere. Different!

I just ate here the other day food was great but now, I get a notification this morning someone at the restaurant charged me $20 extra dollars on my card as you can see in the pictures not cool at all I paid my tip $20 cash this is just ridiculous honestly they must of changed the 7 to a 9

We waited awhile to try this place due to the “lounge” in the name.. WHAT A MISTAKE!! Super nice and clean! Convenient location downtown. Always parking available and the food… OMG. I am from the Midwest and the sengenator is the best burger I’ve ever had in my life! Other dishes we LOVE - fusion shrimp, pan fried ramen, and garlic fries. Would love to try the whole menu but that burger is too good!

Whoever took my to-go order on the phone on Friday June 11 21 (you were called in because it was busy)..you nailed it!!! I forgot your name (sorrybut you were the one that use to work there that they called in because it was busy. We couldnt be happier with all the food!!! Amazing to-go experience. I had no clue what to order, only a flavor idea, so I asked her to help choose and she did! The food is excellent🤤!! The staff is friendly for a PACKED Friday night. The customers looked happy. I will definitely be back to dine in or order to go!!! 💯 recommend to everyone! Honestly the best food experience Ive had in Redding in YEARS!! So happy the "other place" was closed

There are no words to begin to describe how incredibly delicious the food is at Fusion Lounge. Too, the staff is always incredibly friendly and accommodating. This is always my go-to restaurant whenever family and friends come to visit and it doesnt come as a surprise when they walk away utterly satisfied with the quality of food and service. Keep up the good work!

Went to go the ramen here. There is only a couple places in Redding that serve it. It was very good. Just a warning though, it is spicy so if that is not your thing it might not be for you.

Service and food are phenomenal. We stopped in halfway through our journey from Humboldt county to Auburn. Calamari was great. Tuna sea steak also cooked to perfection... Very creative with the drinks. Even had some live music. Reminded me of how restaurants were and hopefully well be again soon

2nd visit even better! Their food is so good! Drinks are generous compared to most and delicious as well! Staff very courteous!

I love the ramen here! Im addicted to it...lol! Once I tried it the first time I was hooked and I come back at least once a week! Its spicy but I love that! I take mine without the kasoy (ground porkand just do the pork belly. They serve it with many condiments to add in. My favorite being the pickled jalapenos with some of the pickling juice and a good sprinkle of the tamarind soup powder...that stuff is the bomb! Do try it, I promise youll love it! Ive had the wings here and theyre good too. My hubby loves the pho and the cheese burger. The wings and pho can be found on the happy hour menu for $6.50. BTW the ramen isnt on the menu...its a secret menu....just go on in and order it, theyllknow what your asking for. Slurp slurp....enjoy!! 😋😜Update: I still love their ramen but I need to mention that they seem to be inconsistent with making the soup each time I go in. Which is a bummer. The last time I came in the pork belly was very crunchy and hard instead of soft and tender. It was strange and unappealing. So unfortunately be aware that things may not be always the same when you order this.

I like Fusion more every time I visit. Great lineup of a pan-Asian take on American pub food. Huge fan of the fusion shrimp, and love the innovative specials. Order a "Cowboy size" 25 oz mug of your favorite craft brew - some of it local - while you enjoy a lively atmosphere.

Service was great! Food great too, wow! The seared ahi salad was excellent. The fried pork belly with the ahi salad dressing was unbelievable together
