King's Dock, Port of Liverpool, Keel Wharf, Liverpool L3 4BX, United Kingdom, Liverpool
Halal Indian and traditional Punjabi cuisine in a spacious room with mirrors and plush banquettes.
Met on arrival by Yasmin who is so pleasant and nice and who was brilliant took our wet coats to dry seated us at our table and after excellent meal she was there with our coats she’s a credit to the restaurant
Loved the food, personalised service, prices were a bit steep, but probably because of location. Highly recommended all round
Poppadoms with eight different chutneys was very good to start. Had the chicken shashlick for main which the portion was generous. Service was very quick.
Food is so delicious and the portions are huge. I cannot stress how great the cheese naan is.
Excellent food with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Plush surroundings. Well worth the trip out of the city centre and Id expect bookings essential when arena events are on
I had dinner alone at eastZeast in Kings Dock and the lamb Balti had so much garlic that I couldn’t finish it when I ate a garlic Nan with it. The portions were large, so fine for sharing, too much for one person. I had thought I might be offered a reduction but in fact I was shocked by the £40 bill for popadoms, condiments, one dish, rice and a Nan. Poor value, and despite the attentive service it wasn’t very sympathetic.
I wont recommend it for a fancy dinner or fine dining. It is a casual indian restaurant that serves food and drinks. The serving speed was very slow, and prices are sky high for what you get, not worth it.Not for any special occasion at all.
I like going every year on my birthday. Service always very good and food is delicious. Prices are a little more expensive than some other local restaurantes, but the food and service is always worth it.Restaurant is always very clean and toilets well maintained.
Hit and miss. The food is amazing the best iv had in a long time anywhere, however when I bought food to take away on a couple of occasions iv noticed the bill was expensive and did not add up correctly unless their was service charges added like you do on a dine in but they shouldnt be doing that if theirs no table and its being taken away. The food though is incredible love it.
Food took 1 hour to come out . Proper rubbish service . On top of that previous reviews are correct they do take your pants off and charge £16-£18 per curry ./: which is an absolute joke . Flavour was bog standard and nothing special . I think they trying to cover their rent and rates lol. Naans £4.65 each .. Diet Coke £3 each .. it all adds up . But like I said .. it’s nothing special .. bog standard takeaway curry .
Came here after the Chris Rock/Chappelle show, place was absolutely packed out with late night after show punters, can’t really fault the good prefer the Lamb Shooka Bhuna off the bone with a plain rice, food took a bit of time to arrive but this was to be expected considering the amount of customers dining in at the same time, food was really good and service was very good also, the only complaint are the prices a main will set you back £18-19 per head that’s without any rice or nan or starter.
Definitely on the pricier side but the food is good. The karahi chicken was very tasty and the garlic naan was lovely and big enough for all the family to share. My only issue was that there was a private singing event going on upstairs and as its not completely blocked off, it was very loud. You werent able to have a conversation because of that and it was also too loud for my baby.
Pappadum and chutneys served were good. The mango lassi was delicious. The decor of the restaurant is pleasant. However the main dishes lacked the flavour and were way oily. The staff was rude and felt arrogant.
Delicious and very hot (just cooked). Would highly recommend 😋 friendly staff.
We ordered two curries, one a Madras and one a Korma. The Madras was very nice, however, the Korma was completely bland and had a very strange taste which made it inedible. For this price, I wouldve expected the food to actually taste good and be able to eat.
We visited today and could not fault any of the food. Absolutely delicious from starters to mains. HOWEVER ridiculously overpriced. £19 for a small curry was a damn right rip off. Defo have your pants down these guys. Will only come back if im having my meal paid for!
Nice place however the food is nothing special and very overpriced myself and wife had a starter and main each and a couple of drinks and cost me £101 not worth the money!! Hence the reason for the two stars won’t be going back in a hurry!!
Food tasted good but had severe food poisoning for the next 36 hours. Staff were nice although tucked us into a corner due to our toddler who is very well behaved.
We are avid fans of a good curry, and this was by far the best curry we have ever eaten, and we’ve eaten in hundreds of restaurants over the years across the uk. Ordered a table sized naan, it was so huge! Chicken madras, lamb Dansak and king prawn tikka were first class. We cannot wait to come back on our next holiday .
They used to be goodBut these days the food doesn’t have Indian test and the prices don’t meet the quality
Great location, very modern, contemporary Indian restaurant. The food was excellent, the staff were superb. I highly recommend.
Highly Recommended, Food was Amazing, Staff were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely dine here again.
Visited with my son last weekend and the food was superb. It was our first visit to the restaurant as we stayed in a hotel locally but would definitely visit again.
One of best pickle trays I’ve had although for the price starter and main was fairly bland, had higher expectations for the price could have ate at a nice steakhouse for less
I would give them 0 stars if possible - after spending two days sick with gastroenteritis. Really horrible experience and no signs of an apology or refund
Really pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and food in this restaurant by the Albert Dock, near to conference centres and hotels. They have a big menu, and I wasnt sure what to order - but the excellent wait staff helped out, and the food they suggested had some of the nicest spice flavourings Ive had for a long time. Really impressed by how much they care about their food as well, and enjoyed the extra flourish of table serving from trolleys
Horrible food. Paneer was not fresh at all and smell bad. The gravy had no taste at all. Rotis are too big and thick.I wish I can give -ve rating.Starters were OK but too spicy.Kulfi was not authentic at all. It didn’t smell good.
Highly recommended to us and they were spot on.Faultless cuisine and a really great waiter serving us.
This was one of the highlights of my trip to Liverpool! What a lovely place. Youre immediately struck by the size of the place. Its a big space but it doesnt feel cold or unwelcoming, quite the opposite, in fact. That was also helped by the attentive staff! (Although it was a bit funny how they warned my very white friend that the Madras she ordered would be spicy! It really wasnt that spicy at allthe food was excellent quality and absolutely delicious I couldnt stop eating it! My partner wasnt impressed with the garlic naan as it literally was pieces of garlic on the naan but I thought it was different and still quite tasty! Would absolutely visit again next time Im in the area! Wish Id taken more pictures but I had to dig in right away!
Great place to eat! The smells coming from here were amazing and after a friend recommended it we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the staff very attentive plus we loved the decor. We tried a cocktail too while we were here (passion fruit one with gin, which was lovely and refreshingThe restaurant itself has a very relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Great food although portions were too big for us, definitely intended for someone with a good appetite.
A really beautiful setting just off Liverpool docks. Ferris wheel in the background and a nice ambiance. Staff at restaurant are very polite and overall the food was good, however, took a very long time for starters to arrive. I got the Chapli Kebab which in all honesty wasn’t worth the wait but the main dishes were very good. I personally dislike the naan on antlers but I suppose a lot of restaurants have started to do this now.
Absolutely lovely food and service, not been here for many years but when we visit Liverpool always try to visit here. Really good choice of starters and mains to suit every taste bud.
A decent restaurant, nice big space , good service, the mango lassi I ordered was fantastic, so was the strawberry daiquiri mocktail, I ordered popadoms with their selection of chutneys which was delicious, then prawn puri for starters which was actually very disappointing, lacked flavour, needed tomato and lemon and no need for green peppers in it, the puri bread itself wasn’t a real puri more of a deep fried naan, I had lamb bhuna for mains which was nice, but I have had better in many different places, also ordered the chicken korma which was the worst I’ve ever had, not good at all, dessert was a chocolate cake with ice cream which was really good. Overall a good restaurant but not a great one due to its hits and misses.
Soo disappointed enjoying Aha concert tonight...but having a lovely curry at eastZeast totally made our night...off back to The Pullman Hotel (overlooking the M&S arena and playing Aha songs in our room (^_^)))/ bellies full....thank you for your service and hospitality tonight x
Great place for curry, slightly different menu than your regular place, and better for it.The liver starter is fantastic for those who are not allowed to eat liver at home 👍
Staff were so lovely and attentive. I was dining alone (lolbut they were so kind and didnt make me feel weird. Food was brilliant. Decor is beautiful
This was the fifth time I have been here, taking a different person with me to eat here.Everyone of them stated it was the best restaurant they had been too!The food is outstanding as usual, the staff are great & very attentive. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming always, the way things are set out for dining is comfortable and relaxing.Overall it is the best place for me personally to eat, & I recommend it to everybody.
This is an excellent restaurant. Good atmosphere. Nice food. Nice service. A must to go if in Liverpool and looking for Indian food.
Pretty Nice Food here and a nice atmosphere, beer served also. Just VERY expensive, me and my friend got a meal and pint each and rice to share and that was £70
Nice , clean place. Starters very nice, service from chef miserable. The main course lamb biryani. Was awful, no taste on the food what so ever. Really disappointing. Would never really or go again.I would rather starve.
Visited on Monday to get take away. On my return to hotel I find they have not included the 3 poppadoms I ordered. Worth £2,70. Visited again Wednesday and I was kept waiting for 10 minutes with no one coming to take my order. Very poor customer care. Never again.
We had a birthday party upstairs there on Saturday . It was amazing. The Staff on duty was great.
Beautiful food fantastic workers, beautiful restaurant, best in town without a doubt, lamb chops are to die for, would never go to any other curry restaurant other than this one, best one in town best one from all the franchises too, loved my experience here loved the food! Would definitely recommend 5* rating. Beautiful.
Bright, modern, grand resteruant. Busy with plenty of seating. Easy to cater for large parties, which there were a few when I was there. Service was friendly but not personal due to the scale. Large variety of dishes to choose although, some average others better
12 months ago me and my fiancé moved to Liverpool. Since then we have tried so many places to eat. There are some great options and we dont often go to the same place twice as we like to try new things. However, this is one place we will definitely visit again. We took our 11 month old baby and all the staff were amazing with her from the second we walked in. The staff were great all night to be honest. The decor of the place is amazing we loved it. It was chilled and relaxed. Got a bit busier as we left but everyone had a smile or a wave for our daughter we honestly had an amazing night. Most important was the food! Honestly we cannot say how impressed we were. We ended up stuffed and had to take a foggy bag. We didnt want to waste that amazing food. This will be a regular date night for us I think.
We visited this restaurant during a recent visit to Liverpool. As we approached it, we thought it was going to be quiet as it is in a quieter area to Albert Dock but it wasn’t. The restaurant was busy but the tables are spaced well apart so you never feel that you are eating with another table! The entrance is impressive with a water feature and the overall ambience is welcoming, we were instantly eager to order our food! All the staff are very efficient and politeand courteous. The menu is easy to understand and varied, we had a variety of starters and mains and of course the essential poppadoms and chutneys to start. The cocktail menu is worth a mention too!Overall this restaurant is one of the best Indian meals we have ever had!Hope to revisit this restaurant again on another trip to Liverpool.Definitely highly recommended!
Had a brilliant meal here last night. Mixed starter, Lamb chops and chicken pakora were ace. Tandoori cod was out of this world as was the Jalfrezi sauce with lam byriani. Chicken korma and meat balti all great. Portion sizes are big so we have lots going home. AJ our waiter made our night he was very personable and fun. Great place highly recommend if you like a good Indian meal.
Popadam with green chutney was too good... interior was pleasant. All foods were good. They have stopped cooking family NAAN. It was nice experience to eat that.My family members tried this restaurant before & said taste is not good today. Chef might changed there.Location is good of this restaurant. Very close to wheel of liverpool. You should try this restaurant at least one.
Labelled as a premium Indian restaurant, the portions are really large ... and some, very spicy. The family naan is served upright and is good for 4 persons.Recommend dinner is paired with Kingfisher beer
