Plant-based British comfort food classics head up the Vegan menu at this edgy, fast-casual venue.
Vegan restaurant which offers takeout and dine in, we were served by a friendly manager Matteo who provided a service to remember, personable and friendly with a warm touch. We ordered the Guac burger with fries, Fish and Chips, Macaroni and Cheese as well as a red velvet cupcake and chocolate and pecan cookie. The food is made with fresh ingredients on site and this comes through with the fine taste and flavours, thoroughly recommended as a place to try if you enjoy vegan food. Will definitely return, thank you for making it memorable.
One of the best plant based burgers I have ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy and the staff are very kind. Although I had to wait half an hour to get my food, I would still recommend, if you are not in a rush.I had the sweet potato chips and “the Guac burger” : very tasty!
Nice place, great for vegans. The Mac&Cheese was great, the rest of the food unfortunately was a liiiiiittle bland, it could have done with much more seasonings. All in all good value for money and relatively healthy fast food options!
Really LOVED by Chloe. A fantastic vegan restaurant in the heart of London. This was the second one I have visited and loved the food. Burgers are gorgeous, fries are amazing. It’s a bit pricer due to the quality but we took a couple of cakes home and they were exquisite. More of these need to pop up across London. Great service too.
Loved the place... I am a vegan so didnt have to think what to order... Had the fish and chips.. And it was great. Portions are quite big as well...
They have a whole assortment of baked food.and the air-fried snacks are great! There were more vegan food option. Environment is so comfy.the hanging chairs that line the windows are a great place to relax and enjoy .
Bit pricey but delicious. Tenner for the burgers. The Chicky Chicky Parm burger was so good! Crispy and slathered in cheese. Small Mac & Cheese (£5 was creamy texture but not cheesey enough. Original burger was a bit bare, could have more filling.
This place has a cool vibe, very nice design and the overall vegan approach is amazing. The food is good and reminds me of the Junk Food bar in Amsterdam. Happily go back anytime im in London
Tasty food, with a good selection of vegan fast foods. However, I had the Pretty in Pink Smoothie, which was over £5, and it was honestly the most tasteless smoothie I’ve ever had! Quite surprised and disappointed; I left almost all of it. Make use of the free water stations instead.
This place has a cool vibe, very nice design and the overall vegan approach is amazing. The food - can be much better... take a look at the "vegan junk food bar" (Amsterdamand adopt few upgrades..
Had the Thai Green curry and fish and chips! Their sticky toffee pudding was delicious as well, although I’d prefer for there to be more toffee sauce. Everything was really delicious and service was excellent. Wish there was one of these in Toronto!
Good food, decent prices but very limited choices.Would love to have more options.Located in the heart of the city and is 10mins walk from Trafalgar Square so should be worth a try if you are around Covent GardenThe Thai salad is really filling, the burger is just average.Mac & cheese and arabiatta pasta are really good.
I frequent this place a lot. The food is very good. So far I have tried most of the menu. I like that they dont overuse oil, especially that there are air fried fries. I like the salads the most, though the fish and chips is good too. The pasta options are tasty as well. Overall, everything is good. But its more of a fast food style of restaurant. Still, pretty decent.
Solid vegan fast food! What to expect: Reasonably fast food ordered at the till. Self pickup. Nothing fancy. Compostable cups, plates and cutlery. I would recommend the British roast which comes with a rich gravy and Yorkshire pudding, the air-fried fries (go 50:50 on potato and sweet potatoand the Mac n Cheese which wasnt that cheesy, but it was flavorful. A bit mushy in texture though. Overall, a good stop gap with its casual setting.
The food here is great and the staff were nice, hence the 5 stars... but from a waste point of view I really wish they served the food on plates and with proper cutlery... the stuff they use is compostable but it still seems unnecessarily wasteful
Excellent vegan ‘junk food’. I always get the Caesar salad and love it! The staff are very friendly and there’s plenty of space (unlike the NY branch). ALSO gender neutral bathrooms and very accessible for those using wheelchairs. And all the cutlery/bowls/plates are recyclable/compostable and they use seasonal veg in the dishes. I really appreciate how the company operate and so will continue to support them.
Loved their all vegan menu. What a dream! Man and cheese was the best Ive had yet. Creamy, cheesy and smashing bacon bits - definitely double up on them! Sweet potato fries were nice and the kale, artichoke dip came with tortilla chips. The guac burger was also highly recommended. Ill be back for the banana bread, cookies and cupcakes!
Cool chairs and I love that its vegan,The mac n cheese was disappointing. But they were happy to replace it for us with something else. The chips is pretty good, and so is the lime lemonade.A bit pricey.
I had high expectations since Ive been hearing about how good the food is for ages!I had the Thai Salad, it was alright, I really liked the tempeh and the peanut sauce was delicious, but there was way too much sauce and too many wonton strips, it needed some more freshness, vegetables, some tomatoes or cucumber.Tried the original burger as well, it was tasty but a bit salty (or maybe it was just the mix of flavours in my mouth). The patty held together very well and the beet ketchup is approved!Cute little place, love how the cutlery plates and glasses are 100% compostable and obviously the fact that it is plant based.I would like to try other dishes because I feel like the brunch has great potential, the pancakes or tofu scramble. Even the other salads perhaps with sauce on the side.Only took photo of the salad.
This is a lovely little cafe-style vegan place with delicious food and wonderful coffee. However, when my friends and I went here to try their new vegan tea offering, we were unfortunately extremely disappointed. The food was lovely but the entire tea time was full of single use plastics. Why in the world would you be given a disposable plate, cutlery and cups when you were expecting to have a lovely, somewhat fancy tea experience?! It felt like we were at a childrens birthday party.I am extraordinarily frustrated with the owners of by Chloe and sincerely hope they move towards a more sustainable business model, because as it stands I cannot recommend this vegan cafe with amazing food to anyone, knowing that even when dining in, there is no option to not produce a huge amount of unnecessary waste.
Fully plant-based with gluten free items clearly delineated. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall, very fun vibe which is family-friendly (from noise level to decor to menu items). The selection is not ideal for those wanting a wide breadth of healthier options to choose from (minus salads). The gluten free chocolate chip cookie is delicious. Very sweet but delicious. Prices are very reasonable.Would have been better had the establishment not been ripped away from Chloe by ESquared.
This by CHLOE location is my favourite specifically because its by Covent Garden and there are copious amounts of activities, things to see and do, and shops to purchase goods from during all times of the year.As for the food, well its overall delicious and one of my top go-to places when Im itching to curb that craving for a good vegan mac & cheese. The food is a bit on the pricey side in comparison to portion sizes, however the flavours are delicious and quality well-rounded.The restaurant decor is cool with a cheeky neon sign, egg-shell hanging swing chairs, lots of great decorated and Instagram worthy seating spots scattered throughout the place. Its fun, modern, and attractive. When it comes to the service and staff, they are extremely accommodating and friendly. As for the rest of my experience I would say that during busy hours (lunch rushthe food takes longer than expected but they give you one of those cool buzzer coasters to let you know when your order is ready so you can feel free to find a location to sit, roam about, take pictures in the cute places, or whatever else tickles your fancy. During the rest of the time the food is quite quick and satisfying. When I discovered this place, its main purpose for me was ultimately to provide a quick fix for my vegan meal cravings when Im too lazy to cook or travel elsewhere. My entire intention is to go in there, get my food/drinks, eat, enjoy the meal, and skidaddle on my way out! Also, a fun and adorable place to meet friends for coffee, do some work, and can be utilized like a nice cafe vibe. 4 stars, will go again.
I’m super happy that by CHLOE finally open in London. Everything here tastes just amazing, brought my non-vegi/vegan friend and she was actually shocked that vegan food can be this much yummy. Quite above-average-quality coffee as well. Friendly staff, spacious place with a lot of seatings. — would be even more perfect with little less lettuces in my salad bowl (was too many...haha)
The service here was excellent, we were recommended the beet burger which my partner thoroughly enjoyed. We were also offered a taster of the seasonal lemonade (pomegranate & gingerto help us decide on our drinks choice. The food arrived relatively quickly and was delicious, you completely forget it’s a vegan version as the quality stands on it own without having to compare to their meat counterparts.
This is my favorite vegan restaurant and this visit was the third location I’ve been to. I’ve tried the LA, NYC, and now London locations. The food is ALWAYS consistent, delicious and healthy! I love the Quinoa taco salad, Mac n cheese, and fresh coconut. However, this time I also tried the sweet potato fries in the aioli sauce, matcha blueberry muffin, and sticky toffee pudding!! All unreal.
The food looked kinda pretty but it tasted like a school dinner (and not a good one). The Yorkshire pudding was literally like a rock and they covered the meal in artificial tasting gravy. This meal was £10.95 which I feel is steep for what it turned out to be. Both my sister and I had this and we both left feeling uncomfortable with belly aches. Wouldnt come here again as I feel there is much better vegan food elsewhere.
Love this place! Doing veganuary right now and by Chloe really made it easy! So many comfort food classics that are vegan. Ceasar salad dressing tasted just like it should, and also vegan mac’n’cheese is a must try. Only problem is all the plastic straws and cutlery - if you care about animals why don’t you care about tortoises who get those plastic straws stuck in their noses?
This place is super cute and would be a nice place to hang out/do some work. I thought the food I got was only ok but I would go back again to try more - the brunch and desserts looked appetizing but I didnt get a chance to try either.Ordered the classic burger- the actual patty was pretty good but I wasnt a fan of their bread. The sauces they have- sriracha mayo and beet ketchup- are really good. They even went well with the mac & cheese I ordered. As Im not a vegan, I have higher expectations from my mac & cheese but I still think it was good pasta.
Been a vegan for last few months so really wanted to eat here. Great vibe! Busy but good flow, staff very organised. I had the Caesar salad and sweet potato fries. Honestly the salad was soooo tasty I loved it. Definitely recommend to all plant based eaters out there😀🌱🌱
Very cute spot for a quick vegan bite while shopping or an after work catch up with friends. It gets pretty busy but the wait for a seat isnt so long. Service very effecient and the food is good. Delicious sweet potato fries!! The taco salad was nice but a little too leafy. Cool modern decor and nice atmosphere. Overall very lovely!
It’s a really nice place, great ambience with very helpful staff. We had the quinoa taco and the pesto meatball. Both were recommended by the staff so went halves with a friend. I would recommend the pesto meatball all day everyday. Taco quinoa was slightly disappointing especially as it was highly recommended. The pesto meat ball was hitting levels. The fries were good we had the option of doing the mixed so sweet potato and normal fries. The Marconi cheese was not very good. Not sure what the truffle was all about but we had burnt bits. But in terms of flavour and taste it was lacking. But it was nice to get a free cookie which was kl
Surprisingly yummy vegan food and cute decorations. It is a ideal place to hang out with friends. Tips: those salads are really filling ,no need to worry abt the portion.
OMG this place is vegan mac and cheese heaven. The food is so delicious. Plenty of options and its all vegan. What more could you ask for. It does get busy but worth the wait
It’s ok. I had a muffin and it was nice. Bit pricey for a small muffin at £4.50 and the Rainbowey Cookie Sammie is £7.95. Good that it’s all vegan.
The burger came really thin and burnt. Tiny portion. The artichoke dip was really over salted. If I wasnt so hungry I would not have eaten it.Gutted. I really loved it last time I came. Its very expensive, for what it is...Emailed them. No response...
By Chloe is located in a great spot with views of Tower Bridge. Glad to see a dedicated vegan restaurant. We tried a few items from the menu - burgers, salad, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries. The food is okay, descent but not outstanding. Mac n cheese needs improvement. sweet potato fries good, burgers okay, salads okay. Nice interiors. Helpful staff.
Great plant based menu. Highly would recommend the Mac n cheese, very creamy and warming and the shiitake bacon was interesting but good! However cheese in Greek salad was a bit rubbery. Great location near Covent Garden, very easy to get to. Cool interior and lots of seating!
London outpost of this NY Vegan restaurant with some British adaptations (eg Fish and chips). This place right off Drury Lane is a millennial dream - neon lights, swing chairs, fancy mosaic floors. Salads here are pretty good, and the desserts are great. Not a fan of the meat replacement items, but otherwise not a bad experience.
I am not vegan! I love meat BUT the food in this place is quality. I give it 4 stars only because the desserts didnt excite me. The salads and the cashew Mac and cheese was unexpectedly tasty!! Environment is also kinda cool and hip. Would definitely recommend.
I tried this place out twice before reviewing. The variation on the menu is amazing, but the food I tried could have been much better for the price. Some of the items, like the fries and the burger were a little bland. Im sure some of the other dishes are better. The mac and cheese, however, was probably the best Ive had.
This is vegan heaven! The cupcakes are amazing! Mac n cheese is very good. Prices are reasonable considering its in the middle of London. Great vibe & family oriented! Modern decor. Friendly helpful staff.
Really funky fast food restaurant. The food is unreal, definitely recommend! It was super busy when we went but we got a table pretty easily, there’s a lot of people constantly coming in and out!
The staff was absolutely fantastic: nice, welcoming and helpful. I had the mac and cheese, which was good, but not mind blowing. The bacon and parmesan on top of it were great. The whole place has a great vibe, although its a tad expensive.
Amazing food. Had the mac n cheese and by far the best I have ever tasted. Would love to see this business grow and grow. Simply incredible vegan food. Service and staff were also the top I have experienced while visiting London on business. That makes all the difference and between that and the food, this place is a definite on my places to visit when I am back in London.
From a non vegan perspective, this food is incredible. Yes its pricey, but full of flavour, staff are very helpful. You get what you pay for! Will definitely be coming again!
Got the Tacos salad, which was very tasty, but the only thing was the ratio of ingredients. Nearly 10£ for 3/4 of green salad.... Come on guys. If we wanted salad we would go to Tesco and buy a 2£ bag.... The Mac n Cheese was delicious, the place is very nice/instagramable and staff is great.
Hands down the best vegan food ive had. Service was incredibly quick - 7 minute wait for burger and sweet potatoes .Burger was PERFECT, they were not stingy with the guacamole either. Sweet potato fries were perfectly seasoned.Staff was so nice and friendly, i am dead impressed.Cant wait to go back.
Ive NEVER given a 1 star rating before so I suggest you read my honest review. I visited here excited to try some tasty vegan food and left here wishing I could have my money and time refunded. I will now list the reasons why I did not enjoy by Chloe.1. Not enough seats. I understand Its a busy place but people were left standing with their food with no where to sit when there was enough space for more seats.2. Prices. The breakfast options with scrambled tofu cost almost £10 and the portions were laughable. I felt so sorry as people were handed what looked like a prison meal with a sad piece of toast which was only HALF A SLICE! Its designed as a self service style fast food place so I dont feel the price is justified without table service.3. The irony.Vegan places are normally promoting a forward thinking approach to food and the environment. I was shocked to see plastic straws littered across the place. In this current awakening of plastic reduction many now use paper straws. Its an easy change to make and all the good restaurants and bars have done it. Even my local Wetherspoons has paper straws. To add to the irony, the place was filled with people wearing the infamous Canada Goose brand whilst chomping on their overpriced cruelty free food.4. The mac and cheese.Ive had lots of vegan mac and cheese before and all of them attempt to mimic cheese which is nice for those craving the cheesy treat! HOWEVER by Chloe decides to use sweet potato cashew cheese sauce as a base. It was like someone stirred sweet potato mash into pasta. It was so sweet! Sweet potato is the total wrong base to use for a savoury dish like Mac and cheese and there are plenty of good vegan cheeses out there!Im not one to publicly shame but it was daylight robbery. The bill came to over 50 pounds for 3 people without drinks. I wish I could get my money back.
I loved by Chloe when I first visited it in NYC, but this location falls flat. I waited 25 minutes (on top of another 15 minute wait to order), only to receive a dry, flavourless mac n’cheese. I was extremely disappointed by the poor quality of the food and the hype was much greater than it deserved. With so many other options in London, I recommend eating elsewhere. I was hopeful, but I’ll just have to wait until I go to nyc before I ever go back.
The food is one of the best vegan foods Ive tried so far 🤯 its an amazing place and the offer is huge. Definitely have to come back!On the pic you can see the vegan fish & chips alternative 💪😊 it was delicious!
