Description
Privilege
We have been lucky enough to travel to some amazing countries and eat in some fantastic places but this place, for us is easily in the top 2 or 3 of the best. I cannot write enough praise for our experiences that we have had here. Swigging Bintang or necking cocktails in the bar with the jungle in front of you is something I could do all night (and all day too). The quality of the food was outstanding, the atmosphere absorbing, the service immaculate - truly one of our most favourite places to eat anywhere. The only problem is its over 5,000 miles from our house so we cant exactly pop out when we feel like it - which unfortunately is all the time... Damn!
MoreAwesome experience, I was there to celebrate my bestfriend’s birthdayService was excellent, specially Eka. She politely asked our names, the occasion, our preferences and suggested what to order.Food and drinks are excellent, will come again whenever I’m in Ubud for sure
MoreHello friends 😃😃😁 very beautiful place, good location, nice service,, friendly staff, amazing atmosphere....
MoreFood, location and ambience are great. Awesome view overlooking the river and underneath the Campuhan foot bridge. We tried the meat lover, duck legs, gindara fish, spinach ravioli and a number of desserts. Coffee wasnt bad either. Overall a bit pricey though.
MoreWe thoroughly enjoyed the taster menu and wine pairing for our anniversary dinner.
MoreBridges is my favourite fine dining restaurant in Ubud. I had a nice meal at Mozaic but I prefer Bridges for its affordability and atmosphere. The food is less refined and complicated, yet absolutely mouth - wateringly delicious, with Foie gras the Star of the show. The whole setting is stunning and the service impeccable, yet its prices are not as over the top as some other of Balis luxury dining establishments.
MoreCame here with my cousin for drinks had the banana coffee was delicious. The view was amazing felt like I was in the jungle. Didn’t get to try the food but next time I come back to Bali will defo come back to this restaurant Terima kasih
MoreThe view is breathtaking. Multi levelled venue with the bar downstairs. There is indoor and outdoor seating and we chose outdoor along the bar, this is a smoking area but there is seating that is non smoking. Walking in through the wine cellar you spiral down flights of stairs surrounded with natural rocks, feels a bit like batmans bat cave. We were greeted with smiles seated under the old bridge. We ordered a few drinks of Rum punch and it was the smoothest rum drink and strong. We were given with our first drinks a small complimentary cup of pop corn infused with rosemary (nice touch). The staff were very attentive, to the point that they appologised for not getting the empty cups quick enough (a real genuine apology)The menu had a good selection of food to nibble on and Im sure the restaurant will be much of the same experience. Drinks are not the cheapest in town but with the experience of the views and atmosphere it is value for money.
MoreA very good restaurant near to gastronomic one. The team is very very good and adorable. Every time smiling.the main course are very excellent and the dressing is very beautiful. You will enjoy the jungle view and the sound of river accompanied by very relaxing music. and smiley. Price are a little bit high comparing to other restaurant, but accessible for European.
MoreVerry verry nice restaurant. I discovered this place during a tour and was really impressed for the whole awards I saw in front of the restaurant. The pictures were really nice and wanted to test it so i booked a table. The staff was exagerated cordial with me. I really liked it. I took the 6 courses menu and they even got more than 6 at the end. Nothing special, just some small appetizers/ greetings from the kitchen during the dinner but tasy. The food was excellent and enjoyed a lot. The service was professional and really fast. I was impressed by that. The only thing i didnt like was the risotto and the dessert. The taste was good yes, but it wasnt finished propery, and as an italian, i noticed it a lot but I ak shure the cheffs can improve themselves. The dessert was a bit too sweet. I eould optimize a bit the last course just to equilibrate the dish in a better way. For the rest, I want to invite you personally to go here and and have a nice dinner by yourself. Absolutely worth it. Keep up the great job.
MoreWe stopped here as a part of our Bali botanica spa package, its a very beautiful place with a great view. We had the Rijstaffel lunch which is a great way to try a variety of Indonesian dishes. It was very delicious, my favorite was the beef Rendang and all of the desserts were delicious!
MoreThis restaurant surrounded by jungle forest made my day. It was a very unique and unforgettable dining experience. It costs only $50 for 2 courses including drink and gourmet desserts plus gorgeous view😊
More4-stars because of the pricing, we only went for some drinks, so cant review the restaurant.Compared to other Balinese prices Bridges is on the top end, ambiance and atmosphere are top notch
MoreGorgeous restaurant with excellent service, food and cocktails. The views from the restaurant into the jungle were incredible!! The fried zucchini flower was our favourite dish, amazing!!
MoreGreat location, lovely presentation, excellent service, great tasty food. Price good. Our experience was very good, could not fault anything.
MoreThank you so much, anniversary dinner was perfect. Grear food, nice stuff, amazing view! Go there around 6pm to see the view in light. Its expensive but worth it:)! Dinner 135- aprox. 250k, glass of wine 135k. Lunch is cheaper, they have Gado-Gado 90k.
MoreLoved the ambiance - had a gorgeous tropical forest view. Enjoyed every bit of the serenity and oxygen 💖💖💖The staff were very friendly and helpful.Had traditional balinese food, a matcha green tea and dessert - would give the food a 4/5 and would definitely come back!
MoreUpscale restaurant in Ubud. The plating and presentation is fantastic. Food quality is good, but not outstanding. Highly recommend the zucchini blossoms. Drinks are good too. If you are looking for something reasonable priced that feels upscale I would try this.
MoreI couldnt stop wanting to have snacks here over and over. A very romantic and natural sound (River flowresto. Located below the old bridge in Ubud they have veggy and non veg options as well as alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The price is a catch but the place is beautiful so is the eye attractive food assure u it also fill every part of our body specially mind and tounge... There are happy hours where u would get 15% discount may b between 3-7 pm
MoreAmazing food and service with exquisite views-feels like you’re right in the lush tropical jungle! I had tuna carpaccio for entree and the pork for main. Came with a palate cleanser in between and nice chocolate at the end of the meal. One of the best experiences I’ve had in Bali!
MoreNice & romantic place for casual dining. Good food, drinks, dessert, service, etc. Must go place but called early for reservations 1 day before especially on weekends.
MoreMy husband booked this for a romantic dinner on our last night in Bali. The food was amazing, the view was amazing and so was the service. Best food we have had in a long time. Such a lovely night. Worth a visit for the experience. Wish I had saved the rest of the photos.
MorePosh restuarant in the centre of town (Ubud), decent food but a bit overpriced compared to the portion size.Wonderful atmosphere and customer service is top notch and patio seating has an Awsome view of the river below.Upscale restuarant better suited for a special. Occasion rather then lunch, which is what we had while walking around town.
MoreBest dining experience we had in Bali. We ordered the Rijstaffel lunch which consisted of 13 different Indonesian dishes and condiments. Each and every single one of them were delicious and had their own distinct taste. The service was amazing, and was the views and the juice concoctions we ordered. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to try outstanding Indonesian cusine.
MoreGreat fine dining option near central Ubud. The service was perfect, and food was very good. Very good value for what we paid as well. Men should a wear button up shirt and women a dress. There is a lounge area to have a drink before your meal. The cocktails weren’t great, but the views from the lounge of the jungle valley were stunning.
MoreSuch a beautiful location!Such a busy restaurant that we booked 2 days in advance to get a balcony seat and boy was it worth it. Such a lovely view of the trees and greenery.Great service and brilliant food. They go the extra mile to make you feel at home.
MoreJust loved the ambience .. our table was not ready when we reached so we visited there Bar and Im glad we did .. it was amazing experience. They have great dinner menu with wine pairing which we tried and loved it.
MoreIts a must to try the Dinner Tasting Menu. Come in the evening to capture the lovely view. Reservation prior to visit is best. Choose Balcony seats.
MoreMy favourite fine dining ubud restaurant. The atmosphere is very romantic and the views overlooking the jungle are simply jaw-dropping. The wine list is huge and there is a complete walk in cellar.
MoreThis restaurant is popular in Ubud, however we were not blown away by the food.We chose the tasting menu (without the wine pairingand with the exception of the salmon/prawn pasta dish, the food was meh. Definitely had better dinners in Ubud at a much lower cost.Although there were many courses, none of us were left "stuffed".I thought the price was high for Bali...almost 6million IDR for a party of 4 with 5 drinks each. I would expect to pay this back in the UK.
MoreThis place was amazing. We eat out often and its the best meal we have had in several years. A highlight of our trip. I cant reccomend it enough.Definately high end.The wait staff make most others look useless. Our water glasses werent empty for more than 10 seconds, we were greeted with chilled damp towels to refresh ourselves. The courses were served all together, hot and fresh. We didnt have to hail them over at all. They kept a respectful eye on us and saw when we were about to look for help.If I could rate this place higher I would.4 people, 3 courses, 2-3 cocktails each and it came to 2.5 million rupiah.Go here. If youre disappointed, track me down and Ill apologize myself.
MoreWe went for a coffee and some cake here after a day at a nearby spa, cakes and coffee were amazing with some great views, staff were very attentive and friendly. My downside would be as we had such a relaxing day we were looking to finish off that way however they had some sort of works going on so lots of drilling etc. Apart from that was a great experience
MoreTried the tasting menu and all was good and tasty, except for the meat main dish so that is why rating is 4 stars. We complained about the meat and were offered to try again with meat re-done, but we were full already and got a discount as an apology instead. Otherwise a very nice place to have dinner at. Enjoyed the view and the experience. The place does feel a bit touristy, but it is cosy even though the restaurant is quite large. There is a bit of noise of the bridge but nothing that bothered us too much. Pleasent experience overall.
MoreThe best place to dine in Ubud! Wonderful menu, good wine, great service and beautiful surroundings. Couldnt be better!
MoreWe came here to end our Honeymoon with a bang and we were not disappointed. We are Vegetrain and I was delighted when I found that they did a Vegetrain tasting menu as well.as wine pairing. We really went on a culinary adventure. Only fault is the staff could do with a bit of personality rather than robotic as well as keep the same waiter the duration of the meal. We have about 5 different waiters. Im sad I came here at the end of our Honeymoon as Id love to dine here again
MoreWonderful fine dining restaurant on the outskirts of Ubud center. Located right over a peaceful river. Good food. Peaceful setting. Friendly service. It is on the pricier side (~$100 USD for two with drinks/winecompared to other places in town. But it is a memorable experience especially if you can get a seat out on the balcony or outside.Highly recommend the scallops and mushroom ravioli for appetizers. Also the Jalapeño infused Margarita was excellent.
MoreThe feel is fine dining, but the food is more casual random combination.. Look good, taste only ok. It said smoke fish, but I cant taste the smoke at all.
MoreThis shop, restaurant and bar is in a fantastic setting on the edge of the main road in Ubud town centre. It has great views across the bridge and the wilds of the forest covered hillside. The food was spectacular. Presented brilliantly, packed with freshness and flavours and utterly delicious. There were also complimentary palate cleansers between courses. The staff were wonderfully attentive and described the ingredients and flavours of each dish as it was served. This isnt something Id say fits the budget of your average backpacker however for those without a budget, expect top notch service and food for approx. £50 for a pair (Inc. drinks).
MoreGet your wallet out. This place is worth the spend. High end, impeccably presented and flavoured food, cooked to perfection. Overlooks the river, has a great view, and the service is unbelievable. If you want a fine dining experience on your holiday this is a must visit.
MoreTonight we had an exquisite dinner at Bridges in Ubud. The surrounds were breathtaking, enchanting, mystical and magical. We arrived and had a drink at the bar, then chaperoned upstairs once our table was available. Our waiter, Luis was a credit to the Balinese hospitality industry, college and the Bridges establishment, he has an infectious smile, a passion for excellence in dining, customer service and true to his culture and beliefs. His explanation of our chosen meals when brought to our table was unique and welcomed, it was lovely to have our meals explained to us, which were beautifully presented and were divine in taste. To the Aussie owner from Byron Bay, your venue, service, menu and presentation is of superior standard and a credit to yourself and staff....extremely happy diners from Oz, we will return :-)
MoreGreat view, it is facing the river so you can get a new experience eating here. It’s fancy, One of the fine dining restaurant in ubud. I came here for coffee time. There are three mini desserts which all are very satisfying, especially the creme brulee. Service are great and friendly.
MoreHad duck leg pasta and the lunch indon set. Food was great. Serving was big. Like this name, u get to look out to the bridge while dining. If you get a seat near the balcony like we did, you can enjoy the surrounding greenery and the river too. Visual impact at Jungle Fish Bali is better but this is not bad too. A bit warm in the noon as it’s a not A/C dining area. Staff were polite and the desert was decent. Prices at Ubud restaurants are generally “ok” even for such classy restaurant. Will definitely make a trip back when we r back to Ubud.
MoreVery nice restaurantLocated at Campuhan road with an old bridge as their landmark and you can watch Campuhan river while you have your meals. This is one of the famous restaurant in Ubud. Theres a parking area in front of the restaurant. They served wine and food, good ones, so dont expect the average prices, but youll satisfied for what you spend in this restaurant. Indeed you can have a romantic dinner in here too, maybe at night its more excellent ambience. The food is good and delicious, served very well. Their service outstanding, very professional and well matter. Dont expect a big portion of meal, perhaps this is what fusion style is. The price? Well, not cheap but indeed what you paid is what you get....fair enough. The interior was amazing, very well decorated with touch of Balinese influence. After having a meal, you can walk to the Campuhan bridge, where you can walk and find interesting monument with full of love locks hanging on it. The bad thing is, this bridge already wear out, need restoration immediately, maybe from the restaurant or from the government...so just watch out your step....
MoreWonderful food, wonderful service, wonderful location. Make sure to call then earlier and book the place on a terrace from where you can enjoy the richness of Balinese flora. All the dishes were simply amazing, Wellington highly recommended. Thank you for this great memory!
MoreLunch tasting menu is great to try Balinese dishes. We had it with dessert. Light and bright desserts were interesting and delicious. Definitely do try their cocktails and ask for recommendations. Great place to enjoy a peaceful and romantic lunch.
MoreI think this is a great old school restaurant. Its a little bit more expensive than the usual restaurants found in Bali and Ubud, but the atmosphere and service and quality of the food makes more than up for it. On most nights, this place is full and has a great vibe. Its located right besides a green canyon which adds to the charm. Its perfect for a romantic night out or just a dinner with friends or family. You can go Indonesian or Western at this place and from what Ive tried its all very good.
MoreAn amazing place and a must when in Ubud. Beautiful view and location. We had the tasting menu and it was amazing! Such a great way to sample everything on the menu and all of it was beautiful. Staff were very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was all so fresh and prefectly cooked. Perfect place to spend the night with a great range of unique cocktails and wonderful food.
MoreLovely scenery with fairly decent priced dishes. I ordered the duck variation which was paired with a potato souffle that was to die for. We got an amazing selection of breads to nibble on while we waited and were given a complimentary dessert at the end. Overall good experience. Wines by the glass werent that great so beware of selections.
MoreWe ordered Herbs chicken and it was horrible. It wasnt fresh and a bit overcooked, dry as well. The sause was dry and the vegetables were undercooked and tough!!!! The dessert was Chocolate cheesecake with sorbet. it supposed to be a cheesecake but it wasnt. It was a dry pastry, it was bitter and dry. The sorbet wasnt nice as well. We saw a special uninvited guest, which was a Mouse!! Whouldnt recommend to anybody to visit this "Fine dinning restaurant"!!!! I would rather give a -10 point rate, I would!!! It was looking good, but not everything is the designe! It was way too expensive for nothing!!! We paid 1 million 312 thousand roupies and we left with empty stomack!!!!!
MoreThe whole experience was amazing! Fantastic stuff! Fantastic foods! Even th starters, the main foods etc.! Very cool wine selection with professional somelie ! And finally the suprise birthday dessert to my girlfriend with a secret gift was a really amazing! It was really easy to communicate this suprise with the stuff! Highly recommended!
