bills Odaiba - Australian restaurant in Nishishinminato, Japan
Wish we could have gone back. Its slightly hard to find but its upstairs on the top floor near the right end of the building as you face the water. It was relatively empty when we arrived but filled up completely a short time later. Meal was great. Not cheap but worth it.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Delicious food and drinks! My first time there and I enjoyed my meal. Order meals/drinks from the qr code given to you. Simple and easy-to-use.
Stylish interior, good food and great view overlooking bridge
Far too pricey for either the meal size or ingredients. I would’ve given this a pass but on paying the bill the waitress quite notably handed the change and receipt to my Japanese wife. It is beyond ridiculous Japanese still do this in 2022, let alone at a restaurant with an International theme…
One of my fav restaurants in the town
The famous bills in Odaiba. Tried their signature scrambled egg which was just like their disclosed recipe. Salt so weak so you need to adjust. Ordered tomato and avocado, which came in thick cuts with just salt and bland so did not really form a good balanc e with the eggs and bread. Their signature pancakes were indeed light and fluffy and great. Coffee was good but so small as if it was in an espresso cup. Carbonara was cooked like scrambled eggs and pretty much a disaster.
Best coffee I have found in Tokyo! Excellent breakfast too. Will be back.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is unbeatable, especially on weekdays when its least crowded. The place falls apart when it comes to value for money. You simply dont get your moneys worth here. 400 yen for a 2 slices of bread? 900 yen for a small coffee? Thanks, but no thanks. I also know for a fact that this isnt an issue overseas. I couldnt finish my meal in London and Hawaii, but still feel hungry after spending 3000 on brunch. Cant recommend this at all. Do yourselves a favor and check out Urth Caffe instead.
The food is fine but the value for money falls a bit short. The service also feels unnecessarily alarming.
I’ve only tried the Pancakes next time I’ll try more😋
Worst açaí i’ve ever had, completely frozen and left a bad taste in my mouth. Also got the matcha latte which had a deep matcha flavor, it was yama matcha from Fukuoka. don’t get the açaí. everything here is overpriced and not worth the price in my opinion
Typically enjoy this restaurant because of the variety of food available, ambience/mood of restaurant and service. We ordered Poke bowl and Aussie plate with a side of bacon. We had already waited outside for 20 mins (this is fast compared to the location in Shibuya at roughly 40 mins wait without reservation). The poke bowl was brought out quickly. Roughly 5-8 minutes after ordering. The Aussie plate (after at least 20 plates of their popular pancake order and other people after us received their foodstill had not arrived after 25 mins. After we mentioned something, the extra bacon side dish was immediately brought out and we explained that was with the Aussie plate. So, we aren’t going to eat it alone 😂 The waitress never spoke to me nor apologized for the food being late. She only said please wait. The food arrived 10 mins after mentioning it. I strongly recommend ordering similar dishes that are mostly overpriced. Unfortunate experience
I waited for a long time but the food was mediocre. Very high price for very small portion. It was barely noon but most of the menu items were out of stock.
Very long wait time although the restaurant still had lots of empty table. High price but the food quality is just average.
Bills in Odaiba is on the corner of the ground floor of Aqua City. Its spacious with indoor and outdoor seating but expect a constant line. Surprisingly the line moves fairly quickly so you shouldnt expect to wait more than 20 to 30mins even if the line is quite long. As with any Bills, its a high quality Australian menu, including all-day breakfast options. We opted to go for sandwiches and burgers this time which were good, albeit the burger was a bit small for the price. Ordering is done online via QR code with an English and Japanese menu with lots of drink (non- and alcoholic included). Seats outside are awesome if youre able to get them on a good day.
Interesting, colourful mixed salad with halloumi (extraon the terrace with the dog. Menu via QR code ordering. Attentive happy staff and nice to have a carafe of cold water. Salad took much longer than my companions avocado toast but worth the wait.
The much touted bills does have the vibe of an open planned style australian cafe! its big and simply decorated. the ambienece and vibe was spot on. a tad on the expensive side considering the quality. we had the fried chicken burger, kids carbonara and the seafood pasta alioilio.go for the aussie vibe and sydney flavors. bring the card and you will enjoy a sunday arvo
This is a really nice place for brunch, especially if you get a seat close to the windows for the waterfront views of Tokyo. Its also one of the few places that serve a flat white, and sometimes a pavlova. I normally go for the pancakes or full aussie but I changed it up with a chicken parm. Its super quiet on the weekday and theres plenty of seats but its very busy on the weekend. Staff are professional and quick to spot if you need something. The price is also proportionally high, but youre paying for the food and location.
I had sad regret after ordering the wagyu beef burger because it was so small and I finished it in like a second (still good but I had a big appetite that day and I was still hungry after). I should have went with my gut and got the fry up. If you’re in that same predicament, hold off on the burger and get the breakfast instead. The coffee was some of the best coffee I’ve had in years, and if it wasn’t so expensive I would have ordered more. Overall great food, good coffee, just massively expensive for what you get.
Stopped by for brunch before 11AM. The mall is still closed so you have to enter through the sea side entrance. Quality food for quality price. You basically get what you pay for. We went with the shared breakfast meal which came with all the works.Good service and relaxing seats. Baby/kid friendly.Highly recommended to arrive before or after peak lunch time to avoid waiting forever.
Food is great and very family friendly with spacious seating and the view is good. Be warned though that the classic Aussie menu is for two people. Even though the price says 3300 for it, you’ll have to pay 6600 for exactly what you see. The only item that they give you two of is the drinks ( the smoothies are very delicious). I think that section of the menu is misleading and should be addressed. It’s better to simply put the price at 6600 and not 3300.The pancakes are exceptional though.
(3.7 out of 5 stars)+ Good food, decent portions, spacious.- Expensive, odd COVID thermometer upon entering, too far (unless you’re in the area),Small dinner menu.A western restaurant (from Australiaserving “fancier than normal” dishes. For example, the burger comes with a wagyu meat patty, grilled swiss, dill pickles, smoked chilli and onion aioli, maple bacon crumb (as opposed to a standard-lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, bacon and ketchup). Enjoyed it as it was different. However, wagyu meat was a bit hard for what you would imagine it to be. Was it really wagyu? One wouldn’t be able to tell...Second time trying Bills. I tried the branch in Yokohama- Red Brick Warehouse nearly 10 years ago and was quite a disappointment. This one was better. Wondering if all of their locations vary in quality much...
Originally coming from Australia, I am a huge Bills fan! Today, I ate breakfast at Bills Odaiba and as always the food was delicious but I found the service and atmosphere very average. The furniture is looking very old and the service staff did not come and clean the table or take away plates very promptly like you would expect from this level of eatery. The area behind the seats had visible dust and the mirrors and other soft furnishings really needed deep cleaning. Hopefully they can do a interior refurb soon and improve service levels soon - I understand they are doing contactless menus and ordering but that does negate the fact that it is still a F2F dining experience.
What a great location for a restaurant with an amazing view of the rainbow bridge and the harbor. The staff is so kind and friendly. The food comes out especially quick and taste so wonderful. I highly recommend getting the pancakes as I found them to be the best pancakes in Japan. The restaurant is also kept very clean and organized. The digital menu option is fantastic especially for the English speaking customers.
We came in on a Thursday morning when it just open for brunch. The place wasnt busy at all with lots of tables and comfortable seatings. The interior is tastefully decorated and the table we had was spacious. We ordered the famous ricotta hotcakes, scramble egg plate, and kids meal with carbonara. Food quality was great. The hotcakes were very delicious but I have to say the texture is a little unexpected, felt like having soft panned egg white rather than starchy food. The scramble eggs were OK, nothing special about it and the portion is to the smaller size with lack of other ingredients, literally came with the plain scramble egg and three pieces of toasts and three pieces of spinach leafs. The carbonara was pretty delicious, except the bacon is a quite dry and not so crispy. Overall I liked the food but I probably wont line-up for a table if I need to.
One of the best places I’ve been to for breakfast in Tokyo! Pancakes were so soft and fluffy!
We went for dinner, without knowing what to expect, as I know Bills as primarily a brunch spot. The dinner offerings were great, healthy(ish), filling, and tasty. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was relaxing. We had the shrimp burger, chicken schnitzel, kids meal, and a appetizer of fried chicken. The kids meal was a hit, as it includes a smoothie, and dessert!
Delicious food and a very nice/atmospheric restaurant that wont break the bank. The lamb basically falls off the skewers and the pickles arent too sour... Well seasoned!! One of the best burgers Ive had in 3+ years of living in Japan. Highly recommend the peanut butter chocolate shake, especially if you miss the taste of Reeses.
A place starred by Michelin for its pancake, environment is nice, restaurant decoration is nice and stylish too!Pancake and other foods are nice as well.Be careful not coming in public holidays otherwise you will need to queue a long line!
This place is famous for pancakes.Tbh its pretty good half way through but gets quite heavy after that.Other dishes I dont recommend so much.Just expensive.
Loved the pancake here - my 2 year old was bouncing up and down for more!
Sure it’s pricy but I suppose if you’re here you are paying for the atmosphere. That said, they certainly have not thought too much about saving money on the decor. Looking over the menu you get the most trendy/healthy mix of raw ingredients in some choice dishes. We had the steak sandwich which was lacking any flavor but still impressive for the quality and size of the steak on the sandwich. The real highlight though is the classic pancakes. They really are amazing and worth ordering any time of day. Perfect for dessert as well. Healthy-not at all, but it’s so damn good I promise you it won’t take you long to get over that.
The food is good, especially if youre craving a more Western menu, but the prices are kind of ridiculous. I had the full Australian breakfast and while it was pretty tasty it was not 2300¥ tasty. If you want an oshare restaurant with a nice view, then this is a great place. If you dont mind paying up for good bacon, then this is a great place. But if you just want a simple Western breakfast, either make yourself or go to Dennys and get some pancakes with a side order of sausage and eggs.
A relaxing place with brunches, burgers, pasta, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks. Friendly for family with children. The price of each set is around 1500-2000 yen.
Omg!! Banana pancake is so delicious!!!! I can eat everyday🥳
A bit pricey, but worth it. The Ricotta Pancakes are amazing - light and fluffy, with the perfect mix of lightly sweet, lightly savory.
Got the riccota pancake and it was delish! The place is spacious and cozy with a view of rainbow bridge.
Wile it can be a long wait to get, the Bills classic ricotta hot cake is definitely worth of the wait.
Awesome pancakes and coffee. The food is very tasty in general and staff is very friendly! During weekdays its quiet so no need to line up. Prices are a bit expensive but well worth it.
Great for breakfast style dining. Comfortable settings, efficient and friendly staff make for a pleasant dining experience. Though the menu selection is relatively small, whats there is consistently good. The breakfast plate is one of the best in town. One of three best things Ive had here is the watermelon and crispy pork belly salad. One of my favorite eating spots in Odaiba.
Really overpriced for what it is. Don’t get me wrong—it’s pretty delicious—but it’s still a lot of dough for a small amount of okay tasting food. I got their signature hot cakes and a 750 yen iced coffee. For the quality and the wait, I would rather go back to Eggs ‘n Things for a much better experience.
Bills’s pancake is my most favourite, a must visit place!!Odaiba branch is the easiest place to get a seat🤗
Pricey but very good. Lunch on the deck at Odaiba overlooking the Water, Rainbow Bridge and the city is very pleasant and brings back memories of Sydney. The macchiato with melted chocolate is amazing. The Aussie breakfast, corn fritters and pancakes are very tasty.Lots of locals come here for a coffee with their dogs on the deck, and lots of tourists have their photos taken with the view in the background.
Always have to queue during lunch time. Have to wait for approx 20 minutes if order the signature dish hotcake. It’s yummy. There is value for money kids meal at 1300 yen including main course, dessert and drink. Recommended their Grilled Snapper, simple cook but delicious.
Excellent food, service, and ambience! It was pricey...but they did have cheaper prices for kids. I believe the kids menu includes an entree, a drink and their famous pancake for dessert which was great value! If you are looking for a fancier place, this might be worth checking out. The view of the rainbow bridge was beautiful!
My first time visiting a bills and I went in with rather high expectations for their famous ricotta pancakes. We went for dinner on a weekday and surprisingly we did not have to wait at all as the restaurant was quite empty (while you can always see long lines in their omotesando branch). The pancakes were good but I feel that it is a bit overrated. It’s not the very fluffy and thick type which you can find at flippers (which i preferred). There’s currently a hype for soufflé pancakes everywhere in Tokyo and people would line up for hours for any famous pancakes places. We also ordered a pasta which is decent. I’ll try another soufflé pancakes restaurant next time.
Pancake is good, but the Wagyu burger is beyond my expectation.
This place can never go wrong. Amazing food with great atmosphere. The wait CAN get long but its always worth it at the end. Cant wait to go back!
Full Aussie Breakfast was nice, if not overpriced, but the pancakes...they needed something. I added some salt and that helped. They come with caramel-infused butter and maple syrup but even so...a bit bland.
Good banana pan cake! Entrees are good too. Good view here at Odaiba.
