20 minutes dattente dans un restaurant au quart rempli pour avoir un chocolat chaud "fait maison" ... Qui arrive bien entendu froid avec une cuillère de nesquick pas mélangé...

Nice place for dinner, the food was well prepared with a couple of fusion touches and flavours. Unfortunately the place was way too hot (not just my opinion, but the majority of our large groupl, with insufficient ventilation, making for an uncomfortable dinner experience.

In den ersten Jahren des Isaak war ich gerne Gast. Dann wurden die Preise massiv erhöht und die Freundlichkeit verringert. Und das hat sich leider weiter in dieser Richtung entwickelt. Schade für diesen schönen Ort. Dass da niemand den Kurs korrigiert, kann ich nicht verstehen.

Gute Bedienung. Gutes Lunchmenü, kleine Auswahl. Ideal während den Schulferien

Im hübschen Aussenbereich unter den Schatten spendenden Bäumen freundlich und herzlich begrüsst und bedient worden. Mittagskarte klein und fein. Das Essen war vorzüglich, wenn auch sehr knapp in der Menge. Der Espresso, Entschuldigung für die harten Worte, absolut ungeniessbar! Eine tiefschwarze Flüssigkeit, bitterer geht nicht, da völlig verbrannt und überextrahiert. Die Bedienung hat super reagiert und umgehend neue Espresso bezogen. Gleiches Resultat. Logisch. Da kümmert sich offenbar niemand um Einstellungen und Pflege der Maschine und Mühle. Wassertemperatur wie auch Mahlgrad völlig falsch eingestellt. Bitte holt euch einen Profi. Dringend.

The inner patio looks really cool, but we were a bit late so it was already full. We ate outside on the cathedral’s place, which is also cool. The food is nice and original (in a good way), but my fish was overcooked and hence dry. The service was junior and a bit lost.

Staff unfriendly, we waited pretty long.. Expensive. Only the view is amazing and they know, that is why they can allow themselves to not be very good..

Hauptspeise: Kleine Portionen, ungewürzte und nicht gerüstete Rübli mit Grünzeug und Wurzel - soll wohl witzig sein. Um satt zu werden, trockener Schokokuchen vom Vortag. Habs der Bedienung gesagt, die nimmt es stoisch - guter Service. Wermit Karte bezahlt steht an der Kasse Schlange. Liegt wohl am Management, wie üblich.

Haben sehr gut gegessen an einem Montag im Mai. Im Innenhof sitzt man angenehm. Speisen waren sehr gut. Frisches Brot gab es zur Suppe und zum vegetarischen Gericht. Bedienung war freundlich und zügig trotz großer Gästezahl.

Hervorragendes Essen, sowohl der Lachs als auch die Poularde waren super gut! Sehr nette Bedienung, tolles Ambiente, wir kommen gerne wieder. Liebe Grüße Dagmar u. Rainer

Restaurante muy acogedor, con vistas a la catedral. Buena comida, muy buena presentación y el servicio muy agradable. Nos recomendaron la sopa de castaña y estaba buenísima.

Great little place with excellent food and friendly service. Reasonably priced with a good atmosphere and illicitly clean decor! The beer and wine is also very good!

Favourite out door restuarant with plenty space and enjoyed 3pm with the children catching the colorful soap bubbles.

Nice restaurant in front of the cathedral. Had some meatballs, tasty dish but salty salty salty. I guess it was a mistake and that the chef can do better. Service was good.Otherwise, high prices, typically for the country.

Has been a very good restaurant for years, but this time it was really excellent. Especially the starter was delicious (Chèvre chaud).

I recommend this restaurant for a mouthwatering (businesslunch in the garden or inside. They offer a daily dish (Tagesmenüand a variety of menus e.g. fish with potatoes.It is also a great place to drop in on a Sunday afternoon after some activity with the kids for a cup of tea and a piece of homemade cake.The restaurant is located just next to the Basler Münster.

Excellent lunch spotN47°33.379 E7°35.494 With seats outside on the Münsterplatz, inside and in the courtyard, we opted in September 2019 for a table in the Münsterplatz opposite the fountain and Basler Münster. Zum Isaak serves a menu of Italian-influenced food.For lunch in September 2019, we ordered steamed cod on curry cream with paprika and risotto (CHF22,50including menusalade or menu soup. The steamed cod tasted impressive. Great surprise and combination with curry flavours and risotto texture. Delicious. Wheat bread pancake (Weizenbrotfladenfilled with spinach and ricotta on salad (CHF18was good, but could not compete with the steamed cod.The service was professional and we fully enjoyed our lunch at the Münsterplatz.

Love the interior! Very good food, the friendliness is highly dependant on the waiter you get. It can be from amazing to poor.

Comfortable environment. 2 stars for serving deer from new zealand even though its wild season in switzerland. Ordered Chickpeacake with mango chutney. The chutney turned to be a sweet n chili sauce bought from the store. Which gave the dish kind of a fast food taste. Expected more from this place.

Good Basel restaurant - serving traditional food, good quality and well prepared, in a nice setting. Prices I would say are quite good for Switzerland, and service was very friendly.
