It was a funday.

When I visited It was raining. The cost to enter the zoo was 50 srd. After the rain, we were able to walk around. However, some sections of the zoo were flooded. Nevertheless, we were able to see approximately 95 percent of all the animals. The zoo has a fun play area which we all enjoyed.

There arent a lot of animals.

The jaguars and the spider monkeys peaked my interest.

Atrocious spectacle of an absolute sadness where rusty enclosures in ruins hold incarcerated the kings of the jungle in spaces of a ridiculous smallness while music screams to celebrate birthdays or a small train screams. It is a huge lack of respect for these animals already deprived of freedom. An infinite sadness and a real shame for Surinam.

went to this zoo on our first date. Its hard to think thats shes gone.I will never see here again. after half all this time im still processing that. the animals where very nice to me but the pig would pay attention to me so thats why im giving this place a 4/5

Place to be if you want to see the wild life of SURINAME

Great place to carry the kids for a day out. In addition to the animals there are swings etc. My favourite is the mini zip line.

You get to know the animals which walk around in the Surinamese jungle. They also have a playground for the children to play at. You can bring some food, drinks and a hang-mock. Watch out for the monkeys 😊. They love to have some free food. It’s also a nice place to have a kids birthday party.

The place is clean and the animals look healthy.

Great insight in local wildlife. Only place left in Paramaribo that I saw with free apes.

Love this zoo. It’s well thought out. Nice and clean and the children keep going back to the zip line. Observed new additions being put in place look forward to enjoying them on the next visit.

Imagine these are all local animals from Suriname. Absolutely fascinating

Small zoo with some nice birds and monkeys. But some of the cages are too small and the animals are trying too escape all day. Still a nice hour of your time in Paramaribo.

No elephant, no big snack, but there are some rare seen animals, like below.

Great place to learn more about Surinames wildlife. Me and my family had a wonderful time there, and we had the park all to ourselves when we went.

Small zoo with quite an abundance of native animals alongside a few imported ones and an educational center. It is a great location for a childs small birthday party; also great for a quiet and fun day out with the kids.

A bit smaller than expected... But great experience overall!

Perfect place to see various animals and birds of Amazon

Looks better in comparison than before maintenance-wise, but fewer animals than in the 90s.

The Paramaribo Zoo is located in a green part of the capital Paramaribo. It is a small Zoo with a reasonable collection of animals. Not very spectacular, but a nice location with lots of trees and shade to be out off the business of the town for a couple of hours. .

In dire need of maintenance. Most signs are not readable because of their age. Most animals live in cramped cages.

Come and see the beautifull Animals and enjoy with Snacks etc.....enjoyfulllll....

You can get really close to animals, but need some serious investments.

If you want to see wildlife thisbis the place to be . It has been updated . Its fun to bring your children and fun for adults. There is for sure some.hours of fun there.
