Love animalsDont like Zoos!
Always come here whenever I get a chance.Very big zoo and well kept.I love how they let the big turtles free roam the property.Ive also seen a sloth hanging around. The big walk in aviary is also a must see !The giant blue parrots are very tame and friendly Great for taking some awsome pics !.. that being said watch out as I have personally seen them rob peoples shinny buttons!!The tigers are also very impressive.Be sure to plan your trip well as you will probably want to stay all day . And dont worry they have lots of restaurants for lunch . Also many snack stands.Great place to take pics as well !I take hundreds of pictures whenever I go.Not only the animals but also the huge assortment of flower, plants and exotic trees.Very beutiful place to visit.A very calm relaxing environment for Santa Cruz.Lots of exotic animals. All for a very affordable entry of only 10bs.
Diverse little city center zoo that has much to offer, especially if you wish to see different things than in Europe. Good for kids with a couple of playgrounds. You can even get diapers at the toilets. A great afternoon stroll with a hand ful of highlights such as sloths, jaguars, tocans... Recommended!
Super
Good 🐵
Ok
It was sad to see some if these animal alone in their areas, animals that are naturally social, and were evidently depressed.
Great time for family
Great!
very nice small zoo with some beautiful animalsI m impressed of creativity of workers to. keep the place running and looks nice without the proper financial help of local government! Shame on you politics !!
Not to much animals, not well maintained
Incredible set of creatures.
Animlas are not being really taken care of.
Small zoo. You can expect to see all the exhibits in 90 minutes. Not very well kept. The zoo has no parking available. Easy to get to via public transportation.. tickets can be purchased on location. Cash only. Restrooms available inside. There are also a couple of small restaurants where you can purchase beverages and snacks.
Small and simple zoo. Part of it need maintance. Some nice animals there.
We visited first semester this year after 30 years. It I did not change too much. Same infrastructure with less animals. Some of the cages are empty and no signs saying anything. It is sad that we do not invest a little bit more to have a decent place for our animals.
Is so wonderful to visit it, just sad to see the animales in cages. Need to be more clean
Sad place. Keeping big cats in 5x3m cages should be prohibited.
Depressed animals in a depressing environment. Places like this should be banned. Dont support such cruelty: make no mistake, these animals are prisoners
Peaceful and full of comfort,But need to supplement more animals and renovate some attractions for kids to attract more people
Terrible location for a zoo!! There are 6 ways lane street boulevard on each side. Its polluted, noisy and too small. How stressful for the animals!?? They have there cages directly in front of the highway!!! There are so many Nature around the city, this zoo should in another location really!
Great to see so many animals...nicely kept
Amazing place to check out all the Bolivian animal species
Ok
Many animals and nice ambient. Just that the animals are not kept at the best conditions.
Only zoo in Bolivia. Its no wonder but needs more animals.
It has a lot of animals but for some of the cages are little.
Its a beautiful place where you can see beautiful animals.
Interesting place. all kinds of animals to see here although if you come from further in the countryside where you get to see more wildlife you dont find it that much interesting
Very nice. I saw much animals..
Despite some cages being too small, animals seem to be well kept. Well organized. It also keeps a large and meaningful collection of south America fauna. We had a nice afternoon and learnt a lot with my girlfriend. The ticket was rather cheap.
Good price but kind of depressing, the big cats have tiny cages and are clearly frustrated just walking around in a circle for hours. There is a huge place that you can walk through full of birds, tortoises and a reptile or two which was amazing but then we saw the exact same birds separately in tiny cages. The zoo looks run down and needs a lot of work and TLC for the animals.
Local zoo with a nice environment at the centre of this city.
I think that the zoo is a great place for you to see animals that you hardly ever see touring Bolivia. And makes my heart glad to see families spend their Sunday pm together.
It is great to see familys together enjoying the animal kingdom. It is inexpensive and has a good representation of wild life of Bolivia. Worth the effort. Less busy during the week. Sunday it is super crowded.
Great to see local Bolivian animals!
Zoo
The zoo used to be so small but now you can really see that people are taking care of it.Animals look well treated, it is a great place to meet the local fauna and have a great time with kids. If you are planning to go dont forget your sun block and umbrella. The zoo is little but really nice, you can take your own meal and have a picnic inside. Price is really low, 5$ I think... :)
i hate every single zoo i the whole world...
Five stars compared to other things to do in Santa Cruz, nice to go with kids and explain why animals are there and not in the jungle. Well taken care, not at the US level but pretty good.
Animals seem not be be really well taken care of
Very upsetting "zoo". Animals have next to no space and seem dehydrated all the time. Would not recommend
Great for family or relaxing time
Great place to spend some time, but sometimes tends to be a little bit unclean
It is a great and fun zoo, near the center for Santa Cruz. Many animals and roads to go to.
Quit clean and well location
I really enjoyed seeing many endemic avian species. I was particularly interested in Ara rubrogenys as I keep them as pets in US.
Interesting little zoo, many animals you cant see anywhere else.
Any urban zoo is going to have its share of issues containing animals that should be in the wild. But overall it was a pleasant experience visiting this zoo. Plan on spending 1/2 a day to see everything without rushing.
