One of the worst zoo’s in Czech. Small spaces for animals, dirty and not taken care off. Many animals exhibited stereotypical movement. Hrošík liberijský, the Hippo is clearly suffering. Please give him more suitable area and company for living. Not going to visit again.

Lovely place with interesting animal, lots of facts, together with kids activities. All at not very big place so you dont need to walk whole days. Still quite a spacious for animals living there.Well, parking is not that big and you may need an alternative nearby...

There are commented flights of owls and hawks in the daytime, check it out!

Amazing. I dont recommend buying fried cheese, because if you do, you will literally get a thin fried cheese, nothing else. No bread nor vegetables, just anything. Dont buy food there and be sure to bring your own drinks.

First impression was not quite good. At the main parking entrance we asked whether the dogs are allowed here, we got a response - they are not. If we would not search for other possibilities we would be forced to leave. They should have told us right away that there are a dog kennels available at the second entrance or there should be a sign saying so to spare us this negative experience. Otherwise, the zoo itself is pretty nice and in the end we enjoyed it.

One of the best zoos Ive been to! The animals are maximum close to the people. You are at a touching distance of the little monkeys! They have a feeding schedule and different performances with different animals. Last time we watched the birds of prey: owls, falcons and eagles flying show. It was marvellous, the caretaker made the owls stay on the benches next to the people, practically at touching distance, and he made the falcon walk on the backs of the audience. It was a magical show! Great job Zoo Jihlava!

Not sure if this is not subjective, but it seems like staff here care this place very personally. You are how they care the animals, it is very nice and warm place.

Saw training of the birds of prey (that was cool), many expositions are closed due to covid, quite a lot people in restaurants and not many places to sit.

The animals are sometimes let free in the ZOO, we saw a monkey taking out trash from a trash bin and an eagle flying free for a snack from his caregiver. Awesome.

Very nice and cozy zoo , the exebishion fithe the owl and eagle feeding is one of a kind and worth visiting , if only more animals were in better view , but its worth going

This is a great zoo, very close to the city center. We spent approx 3 hours there. They have lots of interesting species there, especially the snow leopards and all the monkeys were impressive. There are a lot of picnic tables and bathrooms and snack bars. I think the entrance fee is very cheap, considering how big and well maintained the garden is.

This is - by far - the most amazing zoo weve ever been to. The variety of animals is astounding and our six year old had loads of fun in the zoo and on the big playground there.

Amazing ZOO we seen so many animals. Very nicely designed for kids a lot of places to play. Nice restaurants and buffet.

Jihlava doesn’t offer so much to do or see, but ZOO in Jihlava is “must” see!The ZOO is quite small, but offers unique experience also during rainy day, there is not so much people there. You can find plenty of animals, animals living in good conditions.This is definitely my favorite ZOO

Amazing exhibits!The the animals appear very happy, healthy and active.Truly an amazing experience.

Its one of the smaller ZOOs, but they still have many wonderful animals. Expositions are nice, only the surroundings are a little bit decayed. Refreshments are a bit underwhelming so I suggest prep a snack and take it with you if you plan to spend here more time.

I have enjoyed this email ZOO very much. The garden is very compact but really nice. Also visited the commented feeding of the sun bears and flying exhibition of birds of prey and owls both of which were very informative and fun. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing zoo! Very clean and nicely decorated. You can find an Australian hut and an African village with huts that you can explore. Zones are arranged by continents. My absolute favourites have to be the suricates. Around the zoo you can find dispensers that give you coins with different animals. The zoo bans smoking inside, but they offer smoking in two zones.

We love this zoo. Its big enough to keep the little ones entertained, but manageable enough to see it all in couple hours.It gets busy during summer months, so arrive early as the parking lot fills up fast. Also, there tends to be a big line for lunch, so getting there by 11:30 may help and secure you a seat by the table.

Lovely Zoo. It surprised me how well it is organized and how beautiful the surroundings are.

The place is really beautiful, amazing to spent the day and feel like in a holiday in South America, nicely made. However, I had the feeling animals are not well taken care of, some water in the rivers look very dirty.

My third favorite zoo in Czech. Not so huge like Prague, no Safari like Dvur Kralove but still very nice, especialy for trip with kids.

Very good exposition of various cats and especially Irbis. They have 4 newborns! They have alse Tiger again with 2 newborns.

Its a great zoo. Small yet constantly growing with new enclosures for animals. These consist mainly of open enclosures animals role free and with wide space and look very well treat. Compared with the one on Prague or Brno this one is definitely a better choice and I look forward to seeing it grow. Great management. Just food wise for children especially could be better with healthier choices. Top recommendation

Very good zoo and my children enjoyed a lot. Recommend to watch the birds of prey show as a real up close experience. Some enclosure are a bit small, mainly for the big cats, but overall quality standard is nice and seems well maintained.

Great zoo with a variety of different species including Snow Leopards, Tigers, Giraffes, Wolves and more! Very cheap entry (only 110 CZK for an adult, round £4). Food is reasonably priced as well. Just dont buy drinks at the restaurant, buy them from the vending machines and they will be half price.

Lovely zoo! - especially due to the creative way animals are shown in the cultural and geographical context and theres not much bars - lemurs jump a few metres away from you on a tree and the only barrier is a small river, a sloth is hanging from a branch right above you, etc. The whole zoo is one big playground for kids, there is a great ice cream, milk farm products and a great coffee. The only minus is the lack of food places and a fairly poor choice of the meals you can eventually buy.

If you are looking for a Zoo that has kids in mind and is unique in design, the Jihlavas Zoo is the place to visit.Kids will find plenty of animals, play grounds and refreshments. The unique design is based on old African villages, where walls are made of clay, and roofs of stables. The pavilions allow you to see animals under the water, from human perspective and from bird perspective.This zoo keeps improving, so every year, you will find something new.

I like the Zoo. Its small but nice. AThere quite a lot animals even on such a small place. Recommended to visit with a whole family.

Small zoo with nice enclosures for most animals and a good collection of cat species like snow leopard and tiger. Large animals are few but include giraffes. Easy to walk from the town centre by the river.

Cute little ZOO with quite interesting fauna and inventive displays. We especially liked the Pollacks Farm in Australia part of the ZOO and the tropical exposition with all the crocodiles and serpents and free running monkeys. Of course the leopards and seals always make an impression.

For me the one of top Zoological Park in Czech Republic. All areal is nearly the down town. Located in a valley and laced with Jihlavka river. The status of ZOO hold until 1982. ZOO is home for 200 animal species. Until 2011 the ZOO begin with transformation areal to new structure. Project has name ZOO of fifth continent and still is not ready. Project is donated mostly from EU. Inside ZOO is possible also see animals between visitors. For example The cotton-top Tamarin . Beautiful are also pavilions for tropical animals or beasts.
