Zoo Tunis - Zoo in Beja, Tunisia
Good place for kids only
Really good experience and a assortment of animals
Not that nice, I regretted to visit it in the weekendPeople get robbed there and I am one of the victims.
I love the Zoo but sadly to say the animals are kept in small enclosures. No room to walk around much but taking a loved one with you does make the experience way better. Great place to kill time and to go for a walk.
Great place! Ticket for an adult for 1,500? Awesome. Nice birds and camels
Nothing, just few animals
It has a great potential to be a good zoo, I see there is some maintenance going on in some areas of the zoo, the fact that it has no elephant 🐘 nor giraff🦒or crocodiles 🐊 was sad for the kids , all in all it’s good for a couple of hours of Walk in the wilder , 3 stars for the potential change after renovation otherwise it was 2
It okay but could be better
Need to be more clean ☺️
It was a good experience overall although its lacking more care
Very nice place. Many fascinating animals but some animals are not in a very healthy condition
Attention!!! It is extremely dangerous! the park is full of criminals and is not supervised. I go there alone at 4 pm near the kobba. three kids break two bottles on my head and break 4 ribs. all this for a mobile phone. they should write at the entrance that the park is not controlled as it should! Moreover it is full of very dangerous stray dogs and the park is very dirty; there is garbage everywhere especially bottles and broken glass
This zoo has a good selection of animals endemic to the Magreb: dorca gazelle, mouflon. There is also an amazing pride of lions, looking healthy and content. Most enclosures are spacious and well- tended. Inhabitants look 😊 and there are lots of trees for shade. Its a perfect place for families and kids, just DONT feed the inhabitants😉
Very neglectful and outright abusive towards animals which led to the vast majority of them getting sick and suffering a very slow and painful death over the years, very dirty cages. The park, although neither clean or safe, is nice. Definitely worth visiting on a sunny day, but i highly discourage paying to enter the zoo as that helps promoting animal cruelty and keeps the zoo in business which according to international standards and scientific research thats been conducted should have been closer for over 10 years. Horrible zoo.
Very nice zoo
some animals were not there
Its nice place to spend on Tunis : a lot of plants, Well-groomed animals.
Can be better, but it is not bad, good for kids
Nice place but they should care about the animal health more.
Dirty zoo. Most animals are in bad mood and propably ill.Number of anomals should be reduced and their places should be enlarged.Free the lions. They are almost depressed.
good place, various animals
A large variety of animals. Most are healthy, others are lacking basic sanitation and room to move around. Over all, a nice place to take a walk.
it s. a very beautiful park
It definitely need more attention, but it is a good park for kids to walk and have fun.
Clean well managed zoo. A good variety of animals
Some animals are in a very poor condition, some dont exist there anymore. But overall a good place for a walk for 0.5 EUR
Nice place to have trip with family
The zoo has a surprisingly large variety of animals. The big cats are just amazing. It was worth the visit.
The animals are kept in horrible conditions. The cages were very small and over packed, some of the confinements were so dirty they emitted a very bad smell. Service was surprisingly good and cheap. But 2 stars because of the animal cruelty.
If you have just a little empathy towards animals you will get pretty mad out-hereThey are obviously sad and sickThe water for the less popular animals is like sewageCheap to enter around 1.500 TND per personBut the only coffee there is horrible and nothing to bite
Beautiful zoo , and very cheap.
Nice place with the kids .... if you go alone you may find it boring
Surprisingly ok for Tunisian standards. Poor conditions for the big ones (lion, hippos, tigers, ...). Parking is a nightmare.
The everyday everybody location, even though poorly maintained, its really cheap and you can easily spend half a day exploring its vast animal selection
I really liked this zoo,
Nice zoo but I must say some of the animals are not kept well alot of insect going around them.
Not the worst zoo Ive ever seen but definitely makes those who are against zoos seem a lot more believable and sensible. Many animals appear malnourished and enclosures are too small for most. If seeing animals in captivity bothers you, dont go. I left thoroughly depressed and a strong anti-zoo supporter now. One thing that really irked me. People throwing things at the animals. Clearly, the barriers and fencimg are to protect the animals. Not the visitors.
Its full of variety types of animals and birds, been here multiple times, its improving regarding cleaness and animals health
I was very disappointed with the conditions of this Zoo. It was not kept well and many of the animals appeared to be malnourished, dirty and suffering. This zoo is in serious need of repair or to be closed if it cant find funding.
A lot of african animals, i was surprized, and the price is very cheap.
Animals well cared for considering where we are
A nice place to go with your kids
Wooò! That place in awesome! I saw animal i never seen only in TV, they have leons, tigers, white tiger and even a brown bear. Thats a place IId infinitely will visit it again.
I dont like that the lions in small cages they look miserable and angry theres no water and not enough food i guess beside the hyena looks like hes going crazy he looks very depressed and the bear hes eyes are red and hes blinks a lot and waitingfor the people to trow him some he most be hungry. And theres no restaurant for food only water tea cafe and juice ...... and the pigs looks like theyre in a very bad shape. ........ I think theres not enough care for the animals in this zoo .
Shut this place down to protect its animals from the disgusting filthy and vile visitors that do nothing but harm to them.
Shut down your facility. Plain and simple, if you do not have the resources in place to protect the animals under your care you should cease to exist – and after what happened to that poor defenseless crocodile being stoned to death you should not be allowed to continue operations. Relocate the animals to safe places, there are many animal rights groups/activists that can provide the guidance, expertise and compassion (that your staff so obviously lacksto figure out the logistics and many people (including myselfwilling to donate the financial resources needed to do it. I am certain the stoned crocodile is just the tip of the iceberg of cruelty towards animals that is taking place at your facility as I type. And I am also certain that your only regret is that you’ve been caught and thankfully the public is now aware of the animal abuse that occurs under your watch.
Very hard conditions especially after the revolution, the responsible a should work to improve the Zoo
A great Zoo! All the people who said the Zoo is terrible know nothing about the others Zoos of the world! The great variety of animals for just 1 dinar ( the price of the ticket!!dont compare it with the Zoo in Los-Angeles where the ticket costs 50 $ !! I recommend to visit!!
This is a horrible zoo with horrible conditions. The animals look sick and underfed. I do NOT recommend it at all.
I was at first skeptic when a friend of mine picked me up and parked in front of the zoo. I have heard that there were only few animals and nothing interesting to see. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that those were only rumors and that there was in fact a fair number of wild and domestic animals and that they were mostly in good shape. We end up spending nearly 2 hours admiring different animals. The highlight was of course the lion, there were 2 males and 2 females if I remember well. Amazingly beautiful animals. Do not expect to see a lot, but it is definitely worth visiting.
