Leicester Square, 13-17 Bear St, Charing Cross, London WC2H 7AQ, Eyl
Lively disco bar with eclectic decor in several rooms, playing house music and serving cocktails.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Does NOT even deserve one star!! Probably One of the WORST clubs I’ve ever been to in my life! DISGUSTING attitude from a girl member of staff, RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Even the bartender didn’t know how to mix an OVERPRICED drink!!!!! The Standards are so low and non-existent ! Place is so manky and dirty. Overall a very horrible, appalling disappointing experience!
Tried to go here with a group of 5 people, wouldnt tell us how much entry was without having all of us go through ID checking, pat downs etc, fair enough, then found out someone else got charged 20 quid for entry to a tiny club! Seen the other reviews about drinks prices so glad we didnt get in, no one knows whats going on there and they seem to make up prices depending on how many people are in your group, when we decided to leave, lovely doorman tried to talk us into going back in (in a friendly way he was really nice and chattybut general manager (obvious by the suitinterrupted him waved us off and said bye bye in a sarcastic manner basically telling us to get lost, wouldnt bother going back there not sure why anyone does when the manager is rude like that and they try to con you into paying extortionate entry fees and drink prices by not even deciding how much to charge you before you get past all the security checks (we asked and not one staff member could tell usdidnt even go inside and I can tell its a terrible place to go. Do yourself a favour and find a better, cheaper bar nearby
The place is expensive to get in. I have paid 20 pounds everytime I go in after 11. It can be fun on student nights but it gets crowded really quick and there is no management. The drinks are expensive as well £10 for 1 jager bomb 🤯
Ive never had a cider that tasted of effluent. Like Im not exaggerating..... effluent. We left instantly. 8 pound for a pint. 13.50 for a single! The toilets are way to small to have an attendant they smell like the cider too.Oh and the music is so loud. I like loud music. But this was ridiculous. Walk on past folks.
Just nipped in for a swift one. £19 for a can of lager and a gin and lemonade. How very dare you.Violated.
The club it’s okay, but the waiter downstairs was rude AF, he charged me double for single drink, I went to complain, and he was trying to avoid me, and then he shouted at me, definitely really bad service and customer service
Will is an amazing bodyguard!Thank you so much love this place
WILL (HEAD OF SECURITY), most reliable and professional security officer never seen. High level of hospitality and know his job and especially how to keep the good people safe and the bad people out the venue.
Absolute rubbish, gave us apple sours instead of tequila but still charged us. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Bar tender was an arse. Told us it was tequila then gave us sours, when I questioned him he got annoyed. Never go here, would rather die then go back. Go literally anywhere else
BEWARE! GOT CHARGED £50 ENTRY FEE! THE WOMAN SAID £15 BUT WHEN I GOT HOME I SAW ON MY ONLINE BANKING THAT THEY ACTUALLY CHARGED ME £50! TOTAL SCAM! AVOID GOING HERE!
This place has a great atmosphere and drinks! I lost my credit card and the bouncers found it for me too - great experience, highly recommend. Will the head doorman is the guy!
James was the most helpful staff member I have ever came across. Good fun and he ensure professionalism and good customer service at all times !!
if I could give a zero star rating I could - bought the tickets through fatsoma, couldn’t get in, manager was taking the piss, staff was very rude, please do yourself a favour and avoid this club
Good location, but not enough space inside 50% crowd was in trainers and hoodie. Drinks are over priced.
Overpriced and what the hell really. They tell you free entrance and then they charge you £40 for coats. No alcohol in drinks. Plenty of guys staring at you. Toilets with random ppl trying to sell you snacks. Seriously shame!
Drinks are massively overpriced here as well as being watered down! Club is full of creepy older men who are constantly staring making it an uncomfortable experience. Security were rude and very unhelpful. Did not feel safe and would not recommend!
I’ve never been anywhere where security were so attentive. Anytime me and my friends had a problem with a creep we were checked on immediately and the issue was resolved. Additionally the tunes were on fire especially for a Monday. Might not be the fanciest club but it was a goooooood time would recommend!!!
I came here on a night out with some work colleagues and by far the most worst experience ever. The staff do not care what so ever about peoples safety and it was quite disappointingLeft the venue and someone had threatened to stab me and there was some security near by but did not care what so everRegardless if it was out of the venue or not their job is to keep customers safe as they could see I was very upset as I left the venueAvoid this place at all cost as they don’t care about anything and on top of that you also have to pay a £30 fee to get into the venue itself
The place wasn’t that good. The entry fee was £30 and the club didn’t have that much space. The drinks were also very expensive and after spending £30 on entry is not that great. They also was free pouring the drinks so wasn’t even sure if they were giving accurate measurements and for what your paying you should be.My friend also got threatened to get stabbed and staff and security didn’t not care what so every
This review is for the affiliated bar next door (Zoo too). Worst experience in my life. Would give zero stars, if possible. DO NOT GO HERE! Rude, unattentive staff. Restrooms located approximately three to four flights up stairs from bar area!?!?!? God Awful drinks (switched bar tender after 1st round of drinks)! Says card transaction was declined after waiting an hour later into service to do so because the person "forgot about it". However, bank website states the transactions went through (pending status). Does not accept cash because "manager is in a meeting" (that apparently lasted 2 hours - server/bartender could never accept the UK cash (GBPwe offeredbut if there is an issue with card payment (out of country patron)They expect you to let them change another card without verifying the 1st transactions didnt post. It takes several days to see if a pending transaction actually posts to your account! Its obvious what problems charging multiple cards can cause, especially for travelers. Horrible bar/horrible experience!
Sahar and Jazz are amazing security theyre my guys stylll. Cmon big them up give them a pay rise CMONNNN
charged £30 entry fee on a Sunday, only the small bar next door to the club was open (main club was closed)Inside was 70% men 30% women.. a pilsner beer cost £8, the "jagermeister" was totally fake and tasted absolutely nothing like the real thing (£9 for a single shot)
Do not go here. I was confronted with racist here for the first time in a while. Absolutely disgusting for 2022.I ordered 2 drinks while at the bar (extremely overpricedI left one on the bar where I was standing and the barman immediately cleared it up.Upon questioning who took my drink I was met with hostility and told by the manager "my people do this and hes tired of it". I questioned what he meant and before I knew it there were 10 bouncers around me to kick me out. All of the guests around me also realised this was horrendous behaviour on zoo bars part.In fact the bouncers even agreed with me, they apologized for the managers behaviour. The manager also refused to give his name for obvious reasons. (I overheard his name was Tony)The manager refused to speak to me and only to my white girlfriend. After I was kicked out she asked for a refund of out entry fee due to this, the manager told her that she wouldve got the refund... If she wasnt with "a guy like me".I am shocked at this behaviour and want to make a formal complaint.NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE its a rip off and tiger tiger is a short walk around the corner. (Ironically suggested by one of the bouncers as a place we should continue our night, after he saw the appalling actions of his manager).
We had a wristband that we purchased online which gave us discounted drinks, but once I asked the bartender they said no in a very rude manner. As if we were homeless and asking for free handout. Absolute joke!! Never going here again!
Good vibesGood music - went on Saturday kinda 2010-22 tunesExpensive entry - £20 pounds (but I’m also not from london so maybe that’s reasonable)Very hot and sweaty but still a vibeA few creepy guys but nothing unmanageable just look after each other as everyone would and should.
Never again. £20 cover for nothing. 5 meter square for nothing..... please go somewhere else
Funny how most venues in London belonging to Novus leisure or Shoreditch bar group (the two companies are one and the sameyou’ll see similar reviews of “worst bar in London” AVOID THEM!!!!Extortionate, filthy, ZERO hygiene, ZERO staff and manager training, ZERO standards and ZERO care. This company needs to go bankrupt. Seriously a plague for London nightlife.
1 star is generous. Door staff can’t operate lawfully. Fully trained SIA guards and incapable of abiding by the law and keeping calm. Manager thinks he’s door staff. Checks everyone on entry yet most common place to have your belongings stolen. SIA is aware of this and soon hopefully a undercover inspection will be followed by these events. Even police got fed up of the door supervisor nonsense.
Absolutely awful bar extortionate prices for entry and drinks for what the place is. Over half menu was out of stock on a Saturday evening. Was a mess and apparently no dress code. Awful smell. Was charged for drinks then told the didnt have what I paid for !
I’d give them 0 if I could. Over priced drinks. Rude staff and even worse service. Watched security throw a couple of women out for o reason.
It was charging different entry fee for different people. Someone paid 15 while we paid £20 per person. Space was also very small and confined. Water was leaking. Drinks were very costly. We paid £8.5 for a single shot. Will not recommend anyone to go here.
Just to explain my case, I traveled alone in London. Impossible to go in Zoo bar, forbidden access cause I’m alone really particular. Fortunatly there are many good clubs in London that you could make party !
Went out last Friday for my 27th. Mate who is 22, got too drunk. Staff were very caring and gave us a free bottle of water. Staff were supportive and helped my mate ensure he got home safely.
I ordered two GIN LEMON and I received two GIN and tonic instead. I then went in again and ordered two more GIN lemon with no results because I received again two f..ing GIN tonic. In the end I tried for the last time but this guy apparently doesnt really understand my language and I am sure I was speaking English. Ordering a drink is pretty easy even if you are nkt fluent in English. I dont know what to think about this place anymore. Horrible experience, rude staff and mean security. This place should be shutdown NOW! DONT GO THERE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO IN ANOTHER PLACE! 11 pounds for a drink in a happy hour and in a plastic cup.... Im not going to set foot in there ever again in my life!
So myself and a group of friends went to zoo bar on 17/05/22 at around 20:00. Me and my girlfriend arrived last in the group, neither of us were asked for identification or neither was anyone in the group. Obviously we were all over age, but we all thought it was law to check these things. The night went on and around 22:00 we were outside with drinks. 2 females from our group went inside to use the bathroom. So kind of argument happened with them and another group while they were inside and security asked them to leave the bar. They came outside to take their belongings and security kept persisting them. We all decided to leave at that point. From here the security guard, he lacked hair on his head about 55 and a bit stocky. They would not allow me to take his name or SIA number but whatever. This security guard who must of been about 150kg picked up or female friend, who was less than half his weight, and took her to ground and was crushing her.We all called the police and about 8 officers arrived for this. Police reviewed the CCTV in the bar and decided to let her go, and said and I quote "youre lucky hes not pressing charges". For me this is a total abuse of the law on both the police and security side of things. I understand that SIA licence holders are allowed to use excessive force if necessary but this was not necessary at all!!I asked the officer who seemed to be in charge for a crime reference number. She was blonde and did not provide me her name. She told me to ask the general manager of the bar after she tried to run away and not provide any informationto me. He told me to ask the police. A total abuse of the system!!I post this to deter any business away from this sleazy bar! I will make a formal complaint on the government website regarding this. Luckily 2 officers who were there did provide me with some kind of reference: 8176/17apr22I hope the bar closes down.
The door staff seem to pick and choose on a person to person basis how much the entry fee. The interior is shabby and dirty, yet the drinks are EXTORTIONATE, even for Central London. Wouldnt go back here if you paid me
DO NOT GO HERE- where do I even begin, would have given this 0 stars but unfortunately I have to give this a one. Me and my friends visited 30th April. This is the worst club I’ve ever visited to and I’ve been on the club scene for years. Firstly, our friend got spiked and ended up in A&E so ladies beware of your drinks. Extortionate prices for any drinks and entry. Silly little chavvy men having scraps outside the club and fights going on all the time.Security and the manager of the club are RUDE AND UNHELPFUL and shoved my friend out the way for no reason. Our friend showed later and couldn’t get in unless she was accompanied by another person, however we couldn’t leave the club to go get her. My friend couldn’t get his bag as he lost his ticket, came the next day and the manager was just ignoring and not helping at all, despite the fact that the bag contained essential medication which was mentioned.Club is so dirty and falling apart you’ll probably get ill just from stepping foot in there. Definitely needs some dettol or maybe just shutting the whole thing down.Stupid policies, club is full of creeps who’ll try spike you, awful staff with attitude problems and think they’re way more important than they are (you’re not the police you’re some random nobody on the door), expensive and all round awful night. Would have preferred to stay home. I think all the one star google reviews speaks volumes.
The person at the entrance was rude. When asked if the 15£ entry would cover a drink he passed on a rude comment. Totally unwarranted. And the drinks are priced exorbitantly. Bleh. Avoid if you can. The place is dingy and stinks. The restrooms are pathetic
After going through serious and major life threatening issues, a friend suggested we go here to cheer me up. So being confined to a wheelchair, I looked them up and rang them and they said the are wheelchair accessible. Having turned up on the door the security made us wait for 10 mins before some very rude bloke in a suit turned up and said they don’t accept wheelchairs and I don’t fit the profile to be in the chair. That is disability discrimination at its finest, I would urge anyone with mobility issues to avoid this place!Lastly I have now referred this matter to the Police to investigate and take legal action!
Been going to zoo bar since 2019, always good vibe, since after covid it went down hill fast. Saturday night I was in queue and ask security if it’s busy he said the usual and he said it’s £15 as the usual, I got searched, my friend got in before me, this supervisor at the door said I should wait, I was then told it’s £25 when my friend who was just in front of me paid £15. I don’t mind paying it but why did I get ask to pay more than everyone else even when I mentioned the security said it’s £15 entry.
Ok atmosphere but quite dead, very expensive even for London prices. 26 pound for a double vodka lemonade and JD and coke In little plastic cup. Won’t be visiting again. Moved on after those drinks to bar down the road. Half the price for the same thing.
Would have gotten 5 stars.... but tills went down on the night and no air-conditioning. But good vibes and cocktails tho
So good to see the grimes side of london still exists. Though you can’t throw some ridiculous shapes due to covid the underlying vibe is still there.Clearly a good “nowhere to go bar” but as long as you know it’s that it’s great!
Very good bar, I really liked the attention of the staff and the music is great. I really liked the attention of the staff and the music is great. They close late. Close late
The music selection was great🎶, they played afrobeats, RNB, house music, hip pop plus more. The bouncers were very strict about the (No dancingpolicy. They kept issuing warnings of kicking us out if we didnt stop dancing. 🙄💃🏿We got there at 6pm we paid £10 for entry each (3 of us). When we spoke to individuals who had arrived before us they mentioned to have only paid £5 for entry.Others who had also booked online had a discount. All the drinks were expensive £200 for a small bottle of Jack Daniels.💷We had the small plastic cups of JD with coke which was £10 each, we also ordered wings and chips, the wings had no seasoning the chips were very dry we paid £9 for it.🍟🍗Overall it was a nice atmosphere to be around people were very friendly.#nightout#nightlife#london
Got there just after 4:30pm. All ready ran out of Moretti. Hour later ran out of Amstel now only Carlsberg left. 2 beers for £5 cash
My friends and I had so much fun at this club! Our favorite part was the cage on the lower ground. The Cage has the hip-hop/trap music. Unfortunately, there were a few guys who were bothering us but the staff was so responsive in taking care of it. I felt safe and taken care of.
Nearly 2020 and they are still using plastic straws.. This place is all about making money (like the cloakroom. The music is good/commercial. Dont take nice clothes or shoes as they will get ruined by alcohol or someone else step.
Its a nice place but a bit old and smelly. They serve various cocktails and happy hour is until 9pm with good prices for the area. They have a special deal M-T: a pizza or burger + a pint of Amstel, glass of house wine, or a soft drink for £6. Touristic area so it may be overcrowded during the weekends.
