Very affordable for students and couples, clean areas, healthy animals, very nice environment, nice staffs

Nice place. Very well organised, clean and healthy looking animals. Parking is free, wifi is working. Stuff is english speaking and friendly. Many animals to see plus aquarium and seals. Great place to spend few hours with familyGroup ticket, two adults and one kid cca 15 euro.

Lion, bear, tiger even shark in the aquarium.

Park is nice, quiet, clean. It is located on hill and pathways are inclined.Ticket price is too high considering park size and animals exhibited. City zoo in Osijek is similar to this one but much cheaper and city zoo in Zagreb has more animals, is much more nice and cheaper.

If you have a little bit of love for animals in your heart, don’t go to this zoo. I’ve never walked out so fast, while crying. The leopard had a space so small it was better fit for a housecat. The birds didn’t even have room to fly around. There were about 30 meerkats stuck in a little space, they were trying to escape. If you love animals, don’t do it to yourself to go here. I walked out crying.

Modern, clean with lot to see, situated on the mountainside in a very romantic and immersive area in the nature.

Very nice and spacious zoo. So many animals. Their habitats are really very big too. There is food in the area too, a bathroom available and a water fountain. 2 hours is not enough to check all the animals. Will definitely come back and invite more friends.

Fun and versitile zoo.Has a lot of trees and shade which is great in the summer. Easy stroll around the park.

Its about a 4 hours experience. If you like the animals dont miss it. ;)

Its really nice and enjoyable but u need to bring with u cash to buying food in side the zoo cos the terminal not always working, but its absolutely lovely, friendly Staff everywhere, really tidy, everything is looked after

Not so big. Hard to realise where you at in the moment and where to walk. Staff does not know english.

The people working here are so lovely and friendly! I am in love with this bit of zoo, and for sure, I will be back once I can. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves animals and a well-organized zoo with such an environment like this! Parking is easy, and the prices are affordable. Great little zoo in Pécs. Playground, coffee shop, and nice aquariums indoors. Its worth the visit, you can enjoy a good 4 hours of it in a sunny afternoon!

OK Im not a fun of zoos but my partner had me take her there. The usual: animal driven mad with boredom, squeezed into little cages. Zoos should be banned

Very nice, interesting animals, cool goats.

Enjoyed visiting the animals looked well cared for. But do think the big cats need bigger enclosures. Also has a nice cafe.

Its really good, sadly sometimes the visitors are too loud, ignoring the stay quiet signs.You can spend a good two hours here easily. There are some nice shady spots too.There are a lot of animals, many of them are really cute and charming.Theres a path, shown with strollers spraypainted on the pavement, they lead you around all of the enclosures.The prices are on the avarage/cheaper side compared to other zoos in the country.The parking is close to the entrance, the road leading up the hill side is steep and narrow sometimes, so be prepared for some tougher driving situations.

If I could i would give six stars. Beautiful, clean, well organized, animals live happy life here. Highly recommended.

Nice Zoo perched on the slopes of the Mecsek. Very very good place for spend hour or two in good company of different kind small or big animals. Aquarium and terarium is impressive and modern. But my favourites are pair of white Siberian tigers.If you have oportunity you should visit this Zoo. Do not miss it.

This is a medium size zoo on top of the mountain. Friendly staff, its clean and being improved to create better environment for the animals which is great because I found a couple of areas very limited. Car park is free and there is a little cafe in the entrance hall. Id recommend it to anyone.

It was not too wide. We spent there five hours with children (5 years and older). Most signs were both in Hungarian and English.

Nicely upgraded in the last few years to EU standards. As much as I dont agree with keeping wild animals in captivity, this is a great way to get into touching distance with some exotic animals. The kids always love it. Very educational.

I didnt expect much but I can say I was disappointed. Lots of the animals seemed annoyed by the small cages. The best part was the aquarium.

Animals are always amazing, especially the small and cute one.The "PécsZoo" has a very limited area, because its built on one of the water reservoirs of the city. Additionally, the place is part of the forest, which belongs to "Natura2000" areas (that are parts of the nature, where rare birds live). Thats, why the opportunities to expand and to collect more-and-more species arent given here.Despite of all that, its a very kind, friendly, familiar and sweet zoo.The "PécsZoo" is generally renewed 2017 from EU funds. Now, it looks very nice and modern. Even, when some of the solutions arent the best ones...If you plan to visit it, its seriously worth of it! But, you should plan an entire day to spend there and its not sure, you will reach to see everything!

Its said to be the smallest zoo in Hungary. Not sure whether it is or not. Some of the cages seem to be smaller than they probably should be but overall this zoo left a good and clean impression. The price is fair.

Very cute and well-maintained ZOO. Its tiny bit smaller than expected, but you can more enjoy every part and not rush through to see everything. Most of the descriptions were also in English.The only downside, thats why Im giving a star less, is that there was no updated feeding show program in English. Then, after checking the page in hungarian (in google translate), we were waiting also with some other people for a hippo feeding and unfortunately no one came. It was quite disappointing. Besides that Id recommend the visit.

Small zoo with amazing animals and nice aquarium, terrarium. I can recommend it for family program as well.

Big snakes, aggressive chimpanzees and a bear running in a circle again and again. Its not too big, but fun times for ~2 hours.

I did not enter the zoo but only caught a glimpse of the gate. Did not intend to go; just to want to walk to the TV tower but was running out of time and had to stop at the zoo. The walk from Szechenyi ter to the zoo was relaxing.

Really nice zoo. A lot of animals on small area. Good for families with small children. Good for families with stroller. They can go everywhere. We didnt find any normal restaurant inside. There isnt parking capacity for zoo. We had to park soo far from zoo.

Its far from anything, but its in a very natural enviroment. If you want to take a tour to shoot a lot of pics, then you have to wake up early in the morning. ;)

Nice zoo, recently renovated. Nice rest areas. Animals sre in a good shape. I missed the multi language note for each animal.

Being from England this was a very different experience to what I am used to, from driving up the mountains to all the the beautiful creatures this place was a blast! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time with their family ora peaceful walk on their own. Your hand is not held and you can travel at your own pace, one of the highlights of my trip.

Most depressing zoo Ive ever been to. The cages and the runways are way too small and plain. There is no or very little area for the animals to play or have fun in any form. It is just sad. I am not an activist really, but it is almost like you can see the sadness in their eyes. I hope it improves in the future though. That place has potential.

Newly renovated zoo with amazing animals. We have witnessed a buffalo giving birth, it was spectacular! Strongly recommended for a visit!

I´m not really a zoo-person, usually don´t like to see wild animals in cages, but this time wanted to see this renovated, local zoo. Otherwise it was quite nice and okay, but i would have like to see especially big wild animals bigger cages. Especially lion`s cage leap to the eye, it was way too small and boring such a great animals. Some lions was also little bit stressed out. It was little bit sad to see and that´s why only two stars. Anyway, generally speaking animals seemed to be in good condition and well-kept. :)

After visiting the zoo in Nyíregyháza and Veszprém, I can say that it is okay, but nothing special. It takes 1-1,5 hour to view everything in the zoo.
