Zombie Taco in Louisville

Privilege
I had the 3 taco special for $12.00. It was all i could eat. Nice cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend it
MoreThe atmosphere is nice but the tacos are expensive for their size. Also, they were really sloppy and fell apart while eating. They could at least use two tortillas per taco like every other taco place. I think they spent all their money on the decor so they are going cheap on the food.
MoreVery cool atmosphere. Good food. Not an extensive menu though. Good drinks, too, but not a ton of beer options.
MoreOne of the coolest and most aesthetically pleasing places I’ve been, while in the city my SO and I were looking at places to check out and as soon as we saw the name we had to check it out, we came in close to close due to bad timing but the workers were nice and still blessed us with some delicious tacos, got lots of cool pictures and and just enjoyed the vibe, If im ever in the city again I’ll be sure to go back.
MoreHip place with very interesting decor. Food is solid but not outstanding. The Korean beef taco is way over-salted. Its hard to get your food customized (as in light on the cheese etcas you order at the kiosk and pick up your food at a window.
MoreWe ended up getting 3 tacos and only really liked one. They were OK...we ate them all. But, on top of that, the meat in each was luke warm. I definitely do not recommend the brisket. Chicken was my favorite.
MoreGood concept, good food, good drinks, without a doubt, one of the best super street style .. all thats missing is the spicy
MoreGreat pet friendly spot with delicious cocktails!
Very cool spot! Great atmosphere, playing giant Jenga and Cards Against was a big hit on girls night! The tacos are delicious and the drinks were awesome! The bartenders were very friendly and even won over our pickiest friend!!
MoreI love the seating at Zombie taco, you can sit outside on the patio, at the bar, on a couch, at a table, on a floor pouf - all while surrounded by art, books, and bored games! This place is SO cute to meet up with friends, or even hang out with your puppy and relax (they’re allowed inside 🐾)I ordered the cauliflower taco and it was pretty good! They DO NOT accept cash or Apple Pay to order food - be warned lol!
MoreGreat setting, okay tacos. Loved the atmosphere and professionalism of the staff.
MoreThe zombie burrito was absolutely amazing. Fun place, fast service, and an awesome bar staff.
MoreDont let it fool you, even though its just a window and a kiosk in a hotel, these street tacos are fire. They are as good as any taco truck in town and 2nd only to Agave and Rye. An excellent quick place to get a bite when kicking around NuLu or downtown.
MoreTacos are trash, queso is chalky. Wildly better taco places all around Louisville. Do not recommend - Which is a shame because the vibe has potential.
MoreBrisket taco was over the top delicious. Chicken adoba taco was magnificent. Drink prices are expensive so expect a bar bill if you have alcohol, otherwise a great place to visit
MoreFor a quick bite while downtown this is a great stop. They have many gluten free tacos as well as vegetarian. They are made fast and full of flavor.
MoreZombie nachos and the best burrito I’ve ever had! Funky vibe and great bar tenders.
MoreI think it’s cool here. You can get inside and play games until your burritos are ready. Theres is free chips and salsa with one of the burritos and I think they really do make they salsa
MoreMeh.Service was non-existent: Acted I they were doing me a favor by answering a question. No table service - just to-go order and they hand it to you in bags.$5 a taco. $13 for a burrito. $4 for a bottle of water. $85 for a family of 5.The brisket taco and Korean burrito were excellent. Everything else was mediocre.
MoreThis place is awesome yall . A perfect fried fish taco every time! Staff looked 😎 but i did not stay at the hotel
MoreThe atmosphere is nice as it is in the hotel lobby. There is the option to order outside from a mounted tablet. I have two stars because the tacos are very small, do not have many toppings, and are $4-$5. There are many other places in Louisville that serve tastier, fresher ingredients for a lower price.
MoreThis place is awesome. I stayed at the Moxy and ate here probably 5 times, everything is really solid. The American breakfast burrito is amazing. The only thing I’d recommend is that they incorporate a green, jalapeño salsa into their repertoire as they only have Cholula. That would really put them over the top. But, definitely still 5 stars regardless!!
MoreBar opens at 3pm so lunch is water or pop. Great korean burrito, very nice ambiance in the evening.
MoreThe first time I went there, the food was really good, and the atmosphere was great. Though the cook in back was not very friendly at all - and he didn’t even want to point out where the sauce was.The second time, the food wasn’t good at all, and the cook was still rude.Still - no - queso, and slightly overpriced.
MoreMy experience at Zombie Taco has never been anything else other than life changing. Seriously. The fish taco gets better every time I eat it and the salsa is so good, I swear I’ve drank it a few times. If you want a great time, good music, and amazing food, come here.
MoreWas staying at the Gault House and needed a quick meal. The vibe is really cool & ordering was really easy. Loved the pork tacos
MoreLooooved the vibe.Their true to their name and the atmosphere was soooo perfect.Dim lightening and very cute set up.The food was delicious, not for pickey eaters, def more of a gourmet taco place since most of the tacos I had were already dressed. The touch screen to order was great, gave me time to browse and go at my own pace.I enjoyed playing Ms. Pac-Man for free after my meal 😉
MoreBy far the best tacos Ive ever had!!! The entire 1st floor atmosphere is amazing for all ages. Its located on the 1st floor of a hotel. Your check in for the hotel is actually at the bar. There is a beautiful fireplace, boardgames, old style video arcade machines and cozy seating.
MoreAwesome late night spot downtown for drinks, food, and ambiance. We were able to order tacos directly from the digital touchscreen system. They came out in minutes. The bar is really nice, a great spot to grab drinks on a date. Or sit in one of the many different areas of the low light lounge. Definitely recommend for a date.
MoreThis place went above and beyond and fulfilled a huge order for the Eagles tonight while they played at YUM center - not a lot of places in Louisville wanted to feed 65 production crew members on such short notice, but they worked with us and did not compromise the integrity of the food one single bit - they even put the toppings in individual holders for each taco because they knew they would be sitting in a hot box for a while before the show was over - heard they had to place a monitor in the room because they were so good and people were trying to eat 6 a person - def give them your business. 10 out of 10.
MoreNice atmosphere, even when crowded.. Food service is not exact fast if there are busy and can not relie on time estimates you are given. Definitely not a before the event type of place if your looking for food unless youre there hours before hand. Other than that good experience
MoreAte here for breakfast and a late night snack while we were in Louisville. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the environment was bot comfortable and hip! If we were locals, wed hang out here all the time!
MoreExcellent place for tacos and burritos. The breakfast burrito was one of the best Ive ever had. The tacos are a bit overpriced I think, but tasty. Service can take a while when theyre busy since its not that big of a kitchen, but overall a great place.
MoreWe visited during taco week. The deal was $2 tacos, minimum of 3 per order. The set up was ideal with monitors at the front for ordering food. This was significantly more efficient than other taco week restaurants with minimal line despite being packed. The tacos were a lot smaller than other places but actually the perfect size for me. There was only one sale option for tacos that was pork based. Drink orders were separate at the bar. There was a discounted signature drink that was jalapeno cucumber margarita that was surprisingly good. Not too spicy and not too sweet. Another random observation is that its always very dark in there.
MoreI ordered takeout for Louisville Taco Week because I have class soon. I entered this building and I was surprised of how cute it is.Their tacos are phenomenal. I didnt ordered drink due to timing.I would come back to try more dishes and include their drinks.
MoreThe food actually tastes really good. But the portions for the price were really disappointing. Spent $13 on 4 taquitos that were kind of overcooked and really crunchy. And my tacos were the size of my palm. I wanted to try it out because it had a fun theme and it was somewhere my family hasnt eaten before. Probably wont be going back though. Also, the menu is not very extensive.Overall, good food but small portions and overpriced.
MoreI wouldnt expect a taco stand in a hotel to be this good, though here I am all the same.A bar with more bourbon than your home town fav, of course this is Kentucky after all. Friendly bartenders with local insights, tasty salsa, perfect chips and corn tortillas.I need nothing else, my experience was perfect.
MoreTaco are ok. The burrito was very good. Parking is hard to find. The ordering is easy. There is two screens. Not everything on the menu is on the order screen. Service is fast. Your name is taken off your credit card when you pay at the kiosk. So you have to pay with a card when ordering. They have free arcade while you wait. It was a cool place with a fireplace little dark good stocked bar but it was a one and done for me.
MoreWe ordered 6 tacos for $30. The bag they came in was so small I thought they forgot half my food. We opened it up and the tacos are the size of appetizers. We couldnt belive we paid $5 for each 1. Go to any other taco place. This was a rip off.
MoreFood is okay. Tacos were a bit smaller than I expected. Free hot sauce take-away available. I ordered from a machine which does not accept Amex card.Though I was eating “in this restaurant”, I feel I was using the hotel bar’s space, or they share the space in the first place.
MoreAmazing atmosphere, very chill and laid back! Bartenders were absolutely fantastic and friendly!
MoreIve been here a couple of times now for lunch with the new 3 tacos for $10 option every Wednesday. I like the atmosphere here and decor. Ordering yourself at the kiosks makes things easier and faster for everyone (there is no tipping this way either which saves a few bucks). Place the order, swipe your card and get a text when its ready. The tacos are in a to go bag, but you can stay and eat there if you prefer. Free hot sauces provided too. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer, received excellent service from the bartender, Tiara. I felt very welcome despite being someone who obviously wasnt going to spend very much. Ill definitely be making this a new routine. Looks like a good place for an after work drink as well.
MoreFriendly quirky place. Bar service hotel service game room and zombie Taco all together in the lobby. Very friendly. The GM of the hotel did greet us and assist us in order. Thank you.✨ Order on kiosk for food, cards on/no cash.Complimentary water and coffee, or other options available $4/10.Food was hot and taste fresh, but the tacos had a single layer which was torn; Very messy to eat had to get forks extra napkins and go wash my hands afterwards. The $5 fish taco was tasty except fish 🐟 was almost absent from the taco.Order of queso with chips for $4.50...
MoreWell it looks like the Zombies have finally awakened from their Extensive shutdown. Spoiler Alert: They are NO LONGER OPEN 24hrs… or late😩Pros: Adobo Chicken Nachos are still the main hit. Quick contactless ordering on kiosk. Quick turnaround following order placement.Cons: Make sure they give you all of the toppings the first time around. Or you’ll find yourself driving back for red peppers which are essential. No longer 24 hrs. 11pm on weekends and 9pm on weekdays.
MoreReally cool little place! Great vibe, such good friendly service and decent food. Definitely go check it out!
MoreI went to zombie taco with a friend who is a picky eater. I 100% recommend adopting the same practice. He ordered chips and dip. He doesn’t like guacamole. He doesn’t like salsa. I ate it all and laughed at the accomplishment of this scheme. I loved the carnitas taco. It was juicy but not soggy. The tortilla was corn but didn’t fall apart like so many do. Margaritas were great & the staff was friendly & efficient.
MoreGreat atmosphere and food. Unique taco creations that are delicious served to go or at a bar with a lot of good choices regardless of your alcohol choice. My bar tender/sever had recommendations for everything and they were all great ones.
MoreBBQ Chicken Nachos very tasty. The bacon taco was not my favorite because the bacon was too fatty. However, the nachos made up for it. Also they have house made ginger beer & ale. Great drinks. I think if was a hotel guest I’d find it weird to check in via a restaurant.Other things to note: not great for large parties & the music is loud, so don’t go to chat.Lastly, they have a free Pac-Man machine.
MoreZombie Taco just opened this week. Located in the hotel lobby of the Moxy, it’s part take out, part sit and enjoy at the bar, and all just really really good. I tried three tacos. The jalapeño bacon was my favorite. Sitting at the bar, enjoying a drink and eating tacos while a DJ is playing and the crowd is enjoying board and card games. I get it. It’s not your traditional Mexican restaurant. Definitely not a traditional hotel. And thanks goodness. Traditional gets stale. And this is anything but.
MoreVeggie and fish tacos were very good. Love the atmosphere. Great pricing, Expected the prices to be much higher considering its on the first floor of a new trendy hotel. We will come back ( see pics for menu)
