Italian chain restaurant for pizza and calzone on wooden boards, plus traditional pastas.
Food was ok . But the service was no stars. Only 2 customers in so the service should have been awesome but it was not at one point we discussing going across to McDonalds for our dessert.
I booked a table for my birthday and I can say that was everything perfect. The Italian waiter was so nice . and professional. The food was really tasty, the service excellent. Top restaurant!!
Super nice staff! Food is quite nice for a chain of restaurants. Love their smooth Lattes and honeycomb piece on the side.
Lovely food, extremely nice staff and good atmosphere! We used TasteCard 2for1 and were extremely happy with everything.
I took 13 family members here on the Sunday afternoon before Christmas. The staff, especially the manager on duty, were extremely accommodating and relaxed about the two 2 year olds we had with us, who spent quite a lot of time walking up and down the restaurant and looking at the decorations! The service was very good, and a couple of variations on the pre order were dealt with promptly and generously with no fuss. The enjoyment of the food was mixed I would say, depending on what each individual had ordered, but it was all pleasant, and many of the party really enjoyed their meals. We were not hurried and overall had an enjoyable time there.
The experience was shockingly disappointing. We went there with a friend who highly recommended the place. The staff was excellent - very kind & extremely helpful. The ambience was lovely. However, the food was a terrible disappointment. Of the six dishes ordered, only the fondue & a pasta dish were good. The other four were a complete waste of time, including the pizza, that had some unrecognizable meat topping, and the pork belly, that was drowned in a sickly sweet, canned tomato puree-like sauce.I do hope they manage to recover from this culinary catastrophe and regain the wonderful reputation they enjoyed.
Good food and very prompt but customer service was lacking. Used contactless on our card and didnt even ask which was a little annoying. Other than that was ok
Great food, great staff and great service.
Great pizzas, gelato, and more. Also vegan options.
Lovely food and fab service. Visited yesterday lunchtime with a small child. Waiter did everything possible to make the lovely experience that it was. Will definitely go back soon. Thank you Zizzi Watford.
I’ve just ordered a pizza take away and when I arrived home (5 mins lateri had a bad surprise. The salad on the side was completely off and looked like someone else’s leftover. Pizza was half warm... thanks for making the evening unforgettable!
Was there yesterday, nice and quiet it was. Despite this some of the tables werent really clean. But as soo as we sat on 1, staff came straight and cleaned it. I must say staff were very friendly and food was delicious
Love this place. Favourites are the garlic bread, cassrechia poll piccante and the chocolate brownie deserts. Thanks. Affordable, good food, atmosphere and service.thanks. hope to see you again.
Food is always lovey, the atmosphere can sometimes be quite loud but that’s just down the location. Table service can be slow in getting your bill to you but there always so polite and energetic otherwise.
Amazing Italian food! Posh Italian restaurant with a great choice of food and great service. Love visiting Zizzi just a little expensive but the food is worth it. Got greeted really well and got seat straight away, food and drinks came quick too. Would recommend to anyone. Good for couples and adults.
Nice food, but expensive for what it is. Only really worth it if you have a discount voucher. Very telling that the restaurant is pretty empty on Saturday nights because vouchers are not valid on that day.
I love Zizzi especially their sea bass. They also have good began options if you fancy.Be it starters, mains or desserts Zizzi is good in everything.A bit expensive though. Location is great as well as their services.
Had a fantastic meal at zizzi.. we was down for a hen party weekend in Watford (from dorsetwe went to bella Italian firstly but was turned away as we hadn’t booked and zizzi was our second choice, they were busy but was more then happy to take us! The food was outstanding, our waiter was excellent (dawidhe accommodated to all our needs, was polite and very friendly. We managed to eat at bella Italian on our second night and you just couldn’t compare the two at all! We waited for almost an hour at bella Italian just to have our order taken, where as at zizzi it was completely different and better experience that we wished we’d gone the second night too!! The food at zizzi was exceptional, nice and hot, and full of flavour.. we couldn’t manage a pudding after having two courses, but we finished of with a liquor coffee and that was perfect!
Ordered childs Bolognese and was asked if we wanted spaghetti or penne. We ordered penne but it was whole wheat. We asked coud we have it changed for white pasta and they changed it. I think to avoid this the menu should state what type of pasta is served. It was hard to get the attention of staff sometimes. Didnt feel a very friendly atmosphere except for the manager/line manager.
Portion size was unpredictable my wifes garlic bread comprised of about 12 large slices and my arancini was 3 golf ball pieces. Luckily we had lots of garlic bread to share! Other than that everything was perfect
Visited yesterday, the bread was burned on my bruschetta, but was still tasty however our main meals were this new venison pasta dish. We both ate it and had raw clumps of pasta throughout, we also have food poisioning. Thanks. £48 for vomiting and cramps. It’s the worst food we’ve had in a while. AVOID
Friendly staff, good atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon (maybe check if its a match day in Watford). Staff were great for a table of 9 Inc 2 young children. My calzone was a little spicier than anticipated but otherwise really good for the price point.
My wifes soup was nice. My so-called fritto misto was one of the most unpleasant things I have wasted money on for a long time. Consisted mainly of batter, some of it clinging to a pile of totally tasteless, rubbery calamari. Appalling. The sad thing is, I had the same dish in another branch some years ago and it was really nice, or at least edible.
The best crab canelloni in town!! An efficient staff with a clear passion to deliver a personal good service in a record time. And, the food comes fresh to your table. Nothing precooked.
Had a delicious meal here on Saturday night and couldnt fault a thing. Our waitress was so lovely and attentive which makes such a difference while eating out.
Always a great place to visit. The Pizza and garlic bread are amazing. Veggie and vegans well catered for, they even have vegan friendly wines.
Terrible food today. Lasagna that had been clearly microwaved and chicken floating in so much garlic butter it should have been a boat. It was more like a soup.
The place is great for the all family, friendly service, polite, clean, fast, plenty of food for vegetarian and non vegetarian. Ill definitely go again !
Nice venue, nice staff & nice food. Staff were very accommodating to my 3 year old daughter. The little babini menu is really good 👍🏼
Had dinner with my wife. Excellent food and service. Particularly Tom our allocated waiter. No doubt, we will visit again shortly...
Very good experience. I was lucky to have won a voucher for 2 people and I chose to redeem it on a quiet Monday evening. The restaurant was fairly busy and we were looked after by Neringa. Beside the fact that it was all free of charge (thanks to the voucherwe had a delicious 3 course meal (with Prosecco!). For a chain, they have made a good effort on the menu, the ingredients used are very well combined. I strongly recommend the new tiramissu BTW. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant and the place was tidy and clean. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and I will most definitely come back again.
Came here for an evening meal after seeing the lamb shank on their website. Needless to say I ordered the Lamb.My lamb was lacking in meat, over seasoned. Had the summer slaw which was dryer than Gandhi’s flip flop.Waitress asked how the meal was at the end but I felt a lot of attitude from her in reply. Not happy with the service either and despite having just one main and one drink each it still came to over £30. Not worth the hype.
Nice restaurant with decent choice of food and nice choice of wines
Had an excellent meal in Zizzi tonight the chef Fabio makes the best Pizza’s!!! The manager Mantas and Timi were very attentive and friendly a true asset to this restaurant. Will definitely be back!!
Easy to book online. Friendly service. Really tasty food. My Mrs had a pizza which she loved, I had a pasta meal which was great. When I visit next, Ill have a starter as the main course portions allow for that and I didnt!
Went as a group of four adults, a young teen, two juniors & a baby. Table service was prompt, attentive but not fussy. Half of our group are vegan, and one is vegetarian and everyone was satisfied with the choices available on menu. Prices are reasonable - would visit again.
Friendly staff and reasonably priced good food, although smaller portions than Id hoped for but I am a fat b*****d! I loved the chocolate and banana calzone
Regular customer at Zizis in Watford. They offer great and tasty vegan options at a very reasonable price. Staff are always fabulous, polite and welcoming. Our most recent visit we were served by Dawid, great gentleman very accommodating. Tips all round!
For service, atmosphere, wine and starter is 5*. Main course Goddess Salad weve marked to 4* as it could have so easily enhanced with contrasting textures like walnuts, pine nuts, crunchy red onion etc. Attentive good 5* service by Gabor.
Food was nice enough and quickly delivered. We visited on a quieter night, between Christmas and New Year so the team appeared to be a little flat, perhaps because they had had a busy pre Christmas week!Overall experience and menu range good (my 4 and 12 year olds had no problems choosingbut only 4 stars as I think there is better value for money available elsewhere.
Great Food & service. Waitress heard us talking about sons birthday & they put a candle in his ice cream & sung happy birthday without us asking
You get exactly what you expect, ok food which is absolutely fine if youre hungry. Good presentation, and lots of choice including a few non standard options... just not enough flavour.
Went and had a meal at Zizzi had spaghetti carbonara with coke, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with comfy seats that cater to individuals or groups. the staff were very friendly, well presented, well groomed, the food was good portions and very tasty, the carbonara was nice and hot and tasted great not flooded with sauce, overall experience 5/5
We always love coming to Zizzi in Watford. The food is exceptionally good, as are the staff. Were always really well looked after particularly by Gabor and Timi! Theyre great at catering for allergies too, with a great menu choice. Cant recommend enough.
Food was excellent. Kids loved the kids menue, only my eldest suggested that a larger selection on the decorate your own pizza would have improved it.The staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful creating a friendly environment for my family.
Friendly staff with good food. Also the waiting time isnt that long either therefore youll be eating before you know it
The food was served really quickly and it was very good quality. I asked for a different topping as I am pretty picky and theygave me exactly what I needed. The pizza was tasty and filling. I love this place! Definitely coming back!
Very nice friendly sophisticated atmosphere. My wife is vegan and they have a whole vegan menu on the allergen book. Food was very pleasant.
Terrible service, forgotten about and failed to tell us certain ingredients were missing from our meals! Their excuse was "the chef stops serving that part in the evening" half a dessert? Not impressed and will not go back
Great food and great staff, walked in on a busy Friday night and they sorted us a table. The food was served pretty quickly and was delicious. The cost was very reasonable too, a good night out.
