Zipit Forest Adventures - Park and Garden in Cork, Ireland
This is a truly excellent experience. We hadnt heard much about Zipit prior to booking it. To be honest it was a late booking for a birthday treat for our son and his friends. The venue we had promised him was already closed for winter. So we went for Zipit. And we are delighted we did. It was excellent. We had visited some other zipwire and tree top adventure places in the past here and in the UK. This was by far the best. The zipwires on the higher stages were stunningly good. We will be back.
Great experience and thrilling for all ages. Harder than it looks!Itβs very safe, with a unique system of magnetic clips that ensure you are latched on the entire time. I would be curious though to know how they safety check all the courses and how frequently. The blue course in particular is challenging and exhilarating for both young and old (as long as youβre not afraid of heights). There are a couple of rock walls and swinging ladders that required real upper body strength to get through. There are employees on the ground observing, but they never had to take action from what I noticed. This is a pretty pricey experience, but worth it for a full 3 hours of fun and challenges.
12 yr old son and friend did the blue wire loved it but it was tough 3or 4 levels looks like good fun
Nice place, friendly staff, great fun for all ages.
Kids had fab time employees are a credit to this company as they have great patience with kids and are very friendly
Traveled from limerick to Zipit cork with my son who was looking forward to this for weeks, we started on orange and work our way true the levels and leave blue with all the zip lines till last . But we got held up by kids getting stuck on a number of occasions by 15 to 20 minutes so we were told by a member of staff that the time would be added at the end of our time so when we got to the blue zip lines with 10 minutes left on our normal time we were told that we did not have enough time to complete the blue zip line when I told him about the delays and what we were told by the member of staff he said time was up that was that i totally disgusted
I am only 7 years old. It was great π
If you buy your ticket online you will get 10 percent off. Its great family experience.
Visited here recently with a large work group. It was really enjoyable, there are several courses which are graded in terms of difficulty. All instructors and staff are really nice and helpful. The safety briefing was very well explained and help dispel any fears people had before stating. Would visit again.
One if the best things I have done, super exciting and challenging to all levels.
Really well organised.Staff were really helpful and patient.Great day out.Would highly recommended .
Great fun really well organised. Highly recommend.
Amazing experience, brought my 15yo daughter and her friend and they had so much fun. Have to say it was a great laugh. Would highly recommend it. π
Fantastic fun for all the family, very good value and in an amazing setting
Great direction on how to use the equipment. Fun courses.
Went with a group of friends. Everything was well organised. Great safety instructions and equipment. All 4 courses were really enjoyable. Last 2 were challenging but still fun. Highly recommend
Perfect day out with kids πππ
Well organised, plenty friendly staff to assist. Super fun for young and old
My daughter was only allowed on the lower course, this was not clear when booking, I would definitely not have bothered if Id known, staff friendly
Absolutely amazing place the staff running are absolutely fantastic. I went with my 10 year old and they were all so good and patient with her. I highly recommend it 10 out 10
We had a great laugh, you will need a pretty good lvl of fitness and a good grip, once you get on the blue lvl theirs a rope swinging bridge then a telegraph poll to climb then a zip across the car park at the end of the zip it slows down and you will need to grab on quick if not you will start going back like my daughter whos arms were tired after the bridge and the poll and didnt have the strength to pull herself back so she was stuck in the middle of the line and left there dangling for about 30 minutes with everybody looking at her. I was told this wasnt the first time, they need a cherry picker for this part because the way they got here down was way to much work. But that was on her the rest of us got round and I would definitely go again. There is a lovely coffee trailer there and the women who owns it is lovely too π
Came here for zippit and it is a brilliant experience, there is a level suitable for most abilities. Would go there again! You can now pay the β¬5 with a card/contactlessLovely park to just wander around, nice playground for children. The park also has toilets.
Amazing experience, definitely recommended! Wish there would be more time allowed to get to do all levels, didnt get to last one just. π
Attraction itself is a great experience. Ive been there 7 times before Covid and never an issue. We went there recently and to be honest it was huge disappointment due to bad management. They increased prices but reduced time you can spend on. Our instructor was 20 mins late so we lost time on the beginning. On the third level that is allowed only for kids over 9 years old, staff let girls under the age of 8 go up and nobody has supervised them. One of them was stuck on the platform and we were waiting 25 minutes for staff to come and help her. At the end we were declined to start another level 15 minutes before our time ends. When I tried to explain that we have lost the time at the start and during the activity, girl just shrugged her arms and sent us to the manager. When I have raised my issues with manager Mike, he was very rude and not interested my daughter was waiting nearly 3 years to go on fourth level. He rudely said he might let us on the next time. There wont be next time until management start seeing people before money.
Great walks around the woods and you can vary the options for the length of the walk. Although the sign posts dont explain that very well. Still the deers roaming nearby are amazing. Plus the playground is great and the nearby aquatic centre is also worth a visit.
pretty awesome. or daughter had a blast when she was invited to a friends birthday there. next time well get tickets for ourselves too!
What an incredible place! So much fun
In a wordβ¦ brilliant!A challenging, exhilarating and fun adventure, with a little bit of scary mixed in along the way. Hard to beat the feeling when you come off each circuit! Weβll be back. Thanks to all the staff and instructors who assisted, encouraged and congratulated! Great team ππΌ
Really enjoyed Zipit. I have a fear of heights but still managed to complete the blue course. I cannot praise the staff enough, one of our group got into difficulty and they handled it so professionally, Im only sorry I didnt get the instructors name to mention her. If youre thinking about it definitely give it a go. You can view all of the courses before you attempt them and the instructors will give you tips along the way as to how best to get through each.
Staff were very helpful ,great fun once you get the hang of it lol looking forward to going back again this week
Wonderful facility. Clean, tidy and many well trained staff. Very safe for normal people, (to the point of being almost idiot proof). Great family day out and good value.
Amazing staff, really cool to do the circuits in rain ( especially the red one π). If you love zip lining, make sure you do the blue one, its epic! Just have your credit card in the car for scanning at the entrance ( not like me, had to stop there, go to the boot and look for it in my rucksack). And dont forget to bring your sandwiches or picnic as there is no restaurant ( but they do sell fantastic ice cream and drinks). My 15 years old son had a ball there, thank you guys for everything, we will be back soon.
Super place for family time, and for your own fun :)
This was great adventure for the kids plus I enjoyed it immensely. Why Ive never been here before, I dont know, but i will be going again π and you have no reason to worry as the staff are totally on the ball with safety and all very freindly and professional.1 word of warning though, if you have a mix of age ranges of kids out for the day, there are some zip lining courses an 11 year old wont be able to go on due to safety. This will disappoint some and they will feel left out, if slightly older kids can go on certain zip lines and they cant. Therefore Id advise to organise your groups with this in mind.
Had a fantastic experience on Saturday. Aaron was a great trainer and explained everything very patiently and was easy to understand. Course levels build your confidence as you progress through the levels. Good to keep in mind that this activity does require some level of physical strength as it can be demanding on your body muscles, especially as the courses get more challenging. Great experience overall and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Will definitely be returning
Absolutely amazing place from start to finish. Loved every minute out there. Informative and patient instructors, adventures zip lines, big park for walking, picnick benches all around. Will definitely be back. If you pack your lunch, can spend all day out there
Zipit is loads of fun , for both children and adults. The instructors are excellent and the safety equipment is well maintained and checked. The prices feel like a shakedown for families in particular thoughAdults are 35 euros each and 8 year old children are 15euros, however as you need to (obviouslysupervise your children, it means you canβt actually access the longer courses if you are in a family group. More than double the price when you are on the restricted courses feels excessive, would love if there was a family price package available. Also note, itβs extra for parking (5 euroand compulsory gloves (2 euro each, which is fine except itβs not mentioned anywhere on their website. All in all, great few hours out.
Lovely place, caters for everyone. There are so many courses great fun. Most of the staff are very nice and friendly but there was one in particular who was very rude and obnoxious. My daughter had her clips in the clip holder and they fell out. This staff member who shall remain unnamed saw this. He told her not to drop the clips and to concentrate. Although it was not her fault. It was the clip holder. When my daughterβs friend was getting her harness put on by the member of staff he stated that her outfit was inappropriate. I also overheard him asking a girl where the bottom half of her top went! Other than that it was a very nice experience
Facilities are fantastic and there a variety of courses available so that all experience levels are catered for. Staff are a bit hit and miss. Some of the instructors are quite empathetic but others unfortunately are very rude to people (even children which was really disappointing to see). Receptionist must have been having a bad day! The 5 euro for parking and additional charge for gloves was also unexpected.
Lovely spot for great fun on your own or with group of your friends .... u have deer in the πΆββοΈ around the zip park for smaller kids. Dont forget to take carrots π₯ π they love to eat tham... :)
Great day out, fantastic staff, everyone we encountered today was friendly and helpful with a happy and bubbly attitude. We had a group of 7, ranging from 8 to 40, and everyone had an amazing day. All ages and levels were catered for and the courses and facilities were excellent. A special mention for Conor who was just fantastic with the kids and did an awesome job today. Couldnt recommend this place enough, we will certainly be back.
Great fun, 5 levels of height and difficulty. Colour coded. Green, orange, white, blue and red. Red being the toughest. Green and orange very doable. Starts to get high with white. If you cant do white, forget about blue and red. Blue is great fun as lots of good distance zip wire one going right across the car park. Very few end up doing red as it is very high. You may have some aches and pains in your arms and legs as alot of the climbs to the zip wires are vertical telegraph pole climbs. Over all great fun.
As soon as we arrived the lads were full of banter getting us sorted out with harnesses. Then Kevin bounced on the scene to take our group of 11 people through the ropes to make sure everyone was safe. Legitimately the guy took us from Father Jack to Tarzan in no time (25 minutes compared to 30), the whole time he kept things light hearted and made sure questions were answered. He then pointed us to Louis who tried hard to convince us we were too pro for the green zone, we should have listened. Zipit is an amazing experience with first class staff, while you will feel scared with the heights youβll always be safe.
We had an amazing day with our two grandsons at Zipit. They loved the challenges of the various courses. When one of them froze whilst crossing a high section - even though he was as safe as houses being well safety-harnessed - staff were on hand immediately to aid, assist and distract him from his fears. Well laid out and exceptional well-trained staff πππ
Absolutely amazing place for walking ,enjoying life !!! kids can run!! absolutely clean toilets always with toilet paper and soap that very important because nearly zip line! Just problem with parking!!!,because need to be paying 5β¬ but not note, only coins!!! And nearly you canβt find it any changing machine or shop for change notes!!!π€¦ββοΈπ€thatβs very annoying...
Awesome entertainment. This is not just zip lining but a lot of climbing and physical activities everywhere. Unexpected, but not unwelcome. It is a bit expensive with 32 Euro plus 5 Euro for the car park, but you can spend quite a few hours there. Bring food if possible as they only sell Snickers and crisps etc.
Great place to bring friends to or meet friends at. Lovely scenery. Great place to bring children to. Their is a playground for children. The playground has plenty of space. Their is a zipit in Farran. Plenty of space to walk around. Their is a cafe in Farran. Farran is outside Ballincollig. Great coffee and lovely food served at cafe. Their is deer at the woods.
Great place for kids and family members. Suitable for age 7 and up. But height is important for younger kids who might not be tall enough to use . Different stages from starter to more advanced climbing among the trees for 4 hours per entry. Very safe well organised. Plenty parking. Bring a picnic and use picnic tables. β¬5 in coins required for parking entry.
Great place for kids and adults who dont have a fear of heights. Really worth a visit. Longest zip wire in Europe and it crosses two csrparks at heights of up to 20 metres.
Great day out. I would recommend going early in the day as it there can be traffic jams on the lines during peak hours. Bring a good packed lunch as youll be starving after all the activity. It was my first time doing any sort of "Xtreme" sport and I completed the white, blue and red courses. The blue is the most fun, definitely make sure you get on this one. The red is just plain difficult! I was sweating buckets after it. The green orange and white courses are good for kids and people who are not a fan of heights. They only go up to 10 meters or so.Safety equipment is top notch, I felt very secure up in the trees.
