Privilege
The food was delicious. The service was incredible and the band was great! I had such a great time tonight!
MoreDelicious food at reasonable prices!
Food is excellent! Great local place for lunch. Homemade chips are to die for. Meats are fantastic as well. Love the ground chuck and steaks.
MoreI love stopping in for the Best Ruben in town. I recommend everything....the weds wine tastings are fun and the music always good.
MoreEverything is good
Great wine, beer, and food! Burgers are awesome and large wine selection. Amazing array of sides as well! Friendly, helpful service!
MoreThe one place I can go and get what I pay for.We go at lunch and the food is always fresh always hot...❤Always friendly service!
MoreHad their Italian sub for lunch recently, it was delish. Great combo of deli, meat market, and wine shop. Friendly staff.
MoreWe had a 25 year anniversary, the Zink’s Team put together an outstanding tray for us. They are fun people to be around, and serve great food and wines. We are fortunate to have them here in Centerville. I encourage anyone to come see them and enjoy their offerings.
MoreIt was edible- but my 2 filet cuts were not as good as jungle Jim’s. Cooked them the same; seared medium high in cast iron skillet 2 minutes a side and 4 minutes in the oven at 415 and they came out tough. Yes- I let them rest for 1 hour before I cooked them…
MoreFood was great. Love the sugar waffles
I tried the Reuben! Well its good, but its super super super salty and absolutely greasy. It comes with a side of fries, that are super soggy too. The marbled rye was a little too mushy. Its good, but if you have the opportunity, Id suggest Dayton Street Eats.Dayton Street Eats makes their Reubens better than Zinks Reubens. Bread holds up really well, its crispy, not greasy, and its not overwhelmingly salty.
MoreWe love Zinks and all the nice folks that work there
Excellent beef but kinda pricey. More affordable if you buy a half or whole beef. Still very worth it.Chicken breast are huge and a good deal
MoreZinks has always been a hidden gem in Centerville. They offer only the highest quality grades of beef pork, and chicken. All meats are locally grown as well. Great place to go for lunch.
MoreI eat there once a week. Burgers are one of the best I’ve had. Friendly staff and good price. Quality food.
MoreFun place to be the first Friday of the month! Great band, great food, great people!
MoreFinally made it down here when they were open. I got the ribs. They were good, and very reasonably priced. Next time I am getting the steak by the ounce. Good sandwiches here too I am told.
MoreBig mistake ordered carryout a all American cheese burger with fries everything but lettuce. Went and picked it up. I got home and opened the box and no bun. So I called and told them there was no bun, The lady I talked to said they would remake and bring it to me. 15 minutes later as promised they brought what I thought was my burger, only to find only a bun in a box. So in disbelief I called and was told by the owner that was all I had coming, since all that was missing was the bun. I informed her that after over a half hour I expected a full sandwich and had disposed of the old burger.. Actually a normal business would have done a total remake. Lady was quite rude !!! I will never grace the place again, after frequenting them in the past. I always referred people to go to "Zinks, WELL MY NEW MOTTO IS TO LET THEM KNOW ZINKS STINKS"
MoreWe Always get steaks for The American Legion Dinners,They are Delicious!!
Great place to grab lunch or bacon for the week! Much higher quality from any grocery store nearby for a great price. Today I got the Big n Beefy sandwich and my s/o got the fried bologna sandwich. Both were of course amazing and flavorful. Nice thick bologna! I believe they also do live music, and have a ton of wine/tastings. Real cute place and super friendly helpers!
MoreI first heard of this place when a lady who works here came into where I work. She was so passionate about this place I decided I had to try it, granted it took me a while to finally get here. When I googled this place to leave a review, honestly I was surprised the reviews are so mixed. The place was clean when I went and there was a gentleman cleaning while I was there. I was immediately greeted by a lovely young lady who was more than willing to give me a run through of things and tell me about her favorites. I ended up getting a chicken salad sandwich and some pasta salad. The sandwich came on a toasted pretzel bun with a pickle spear and some chips that Im pretty sure they made in house. The chicken salad tasted pretty great and had a nice texture in my opinion. I thought the place was pretty cute and had a welcoming atmosphere. While I was waiting for my food, I walked around and browsed what they had and it seemed like they had a nice selection of wines and they have a fridge full of craft beers and ciders. The meat case looked fairly well stocked and the quality is meat appeared to be of a decent caliber, but the meats werent that well lighted or labeled , so I cant be certain. I personally dont mind the lack of labels as talking to the staff was a pleasant and personal touch, but I can see how it wouldnt be ideal for some people. There were some reviews about their steaks that worry me a bit, so I may have to change my review after I try their steaks, but I definitely plan on at least trying one. For now, with my opinion uninfluenced by the other reviews, I like this spot and plan on coming back. Ill let you know if I feel otherwise later on.
MoreWent to the establishment for meat market purposes, nothing in the cases are marked, selection of beef look slim, also acquired about ham, was said they only have one ham, no honey no brown sugar or smoke just 1 single ham, nothing in the other cases was marked you could tell the obvious bake beans potato salad etc but there was several dishes Id been curious about and didnt want to have to ask, I was going there in the thinking it was a meat market, not a bar/restaurant....seems like the old place before they moved was an actual meat market.... but been years and dont remember, then there was an issue at the register that held us up another 15 minutes, they was pleasant and made it more then right which was the best experience of the whole trip, sorry zinks I will not be back
MoreThis is a very clean place, plus their food is delicious and farm fresh. I have traveled all over the world. Came back to see my cousin Susie, and ate at this place. OMG. I will always come back here. Amazingly delicious. Nice people, good service. Delicious. If you can get there, do.Its worth the trip, even from far away. Amazing, those Zinks. You will not be disappointed. How could you be? Even the Amish eat there!
MoreBest burgers and reubens anywhere. Unsurpassed customer care. Brought home a cherry pie and some Daves Chili for a taste test. Looking forward to that!Update: I am now addicted to Daves Chili. Went back for 2 more "Larges," one for the fridge and one in the freezer. Determined not to run out!😎
MoreA nice break from the chain restaurants. Meat is selected and cooked perfectly. Four of us had dinner and all steaks were tender and flavorful. A good selection of local and other wines, as well as beers.
MoreTook my mom there for dinner. The live music was a nice surprise. Very reasonable prices
MoreIf you like really loud music and dont want to hear or talk with your friends, then this is the place!
MoreWe absolutely love Zink’s. We have food allergies in the family, and they always get our orders right. The burgers and steaks are affordably priced, and cooked to perfection. Food is made to order, so arriving when it’s busy means you might wait a bit, but I promise it’s worth. The workers are hard working, down to earth, and knowlegable about the food and alcohol served. The cook always comes out to say hi, and make sure we’ve enjoyed our meal. We moved to Centerville a year ago, and Zink’s is by far our favorite place to enjoy a drink and fantastic plate of food. Although we are still somewhat new to the area, they treat us like family when we dine here. Keep your money local, support this fantastic business.
MoreThe new location and store is much improved over the original location. Zinks is a good meat market and deli, with ample seating for lunches.
MoreGreat wine, great food, kind of a wine bar like Cheers.
Theres a lot of good food here. In addition to deli meats and sides, they offer a full service restaurant for dine-in or carry-out. They also offer desserts, fresh pies and cakes as well as cookies and brownies. I had the Big Az burger (yes, that is what its called). Made to order, 3/4 lbs. Its enormous and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they will offer recommendations if youre not sure about anything. Looking forward to returning and getting one of those desserts! If youre looking for live entertainment, they have music and winewine-tasting events weekly.
MoreClassy! Great wine. Incredible food. REALLY, really good live music!
Great food, great prices, great service. Try something different most everytime and have yet to be disappointed, been going for about a year now.
MoreWe went to Zinks in Franklin Ohio for years and loved every experience and all the meats we purchased were high quality. That being said my mom bought us a gift card to the "new" Zinks location in centerville for Christmas not knowing the 2 brothers split their business. Of course we expected the same quality as we experienced in Franklin. Too bad that was NOT the case. First we used the gift card 1 day before it expired and if we waited one more day the $50 my mom spent would have been totally wasted and invalid. #1 Wrong. Second the meat "counter" was exceptionally small, as in 5 or 6 long total. Almost nothing to choose from. #2 Wrong. When my wife asked for ribeyes, our previous favorite from Zinks in Franklin, they had nothing except an uncut piece of meat in the back he was reluctant to cut into...but did so only after getting a phone call after our order asking for more of the same. #3 Wrong Next, we spent over $70 on 4 ribeyes and 2 polish sausages...$16 a pound for the ribeyes...thats double Krogers so it should have been premium right? NOT EVEN CLOSE. Just got done eating our Zinks ribeyes...filled with gristle and extremely tough. #4 Wrong For comparison we got some steaks on sale at ALDIs no less a few weeks ago...and ALDIs steaks were 4 times better at 4 times less the cost...no exaggeration. ALDIs steaks were perfectly marbled with fat...NOT gristle...and were extremely tender...To be Honest...Zinks Ribeyes were about the worst weve eaten in the last 5 years. This review is to educate consumers...if they offered us free steaks we would turn them down. Instead of having a full belly after a 1 pound steak I just finished 4 extra large cookies for dessert...half my steak is in the trash...all gristle. Go to the REAL Zinks Meat Market in Franklin...stay away from Zinks in Centerville!
MoreZinks is amazing. Great wine, fantastic food and Bourbons to taste.
Zinks Meats COULD HAVE BEEN an amazing experience. We strolled in at 5 on a Friday and bellied up to the wine bar, ready to taste some wines and grab some soup and burgers. But once the bartender poured our first wine TASTE, she never spoke to us again. Instead she spent her time discussing all things Zinks with 3 regulars and what appeared to be the owner, whose back was LITERALLY turned to me throughout our dinner (a tasty but separated beer cheese soup and lackluster unseasoned Zinks burger, ordered at the deli/register— finally when my boyfriend left to pay, the owner turned to ask if everything was ok. Ok was exactly how I would describe the food; the service was worse. Since we had started with a $2 taste, I was drink less throughout my meal, and the complete exclusion of 2 newcomers by the staff and the regulars made me feel more unwelcome than I’ve ever felt. The stupid thing is, we WANTED to like Zinks, and any owner or bartender with even a tiny bit of social acumen would’ve had the sense to INCLUDE newcomers instead of ignoring them. Instead of making Zinks our new favorite place, the average food and members-only exclusivity make this a place we will avoid.
MoreThis place is filthy. Service is terrible. I watched one of the workers drop a part of someones food on the floor and they picked it back up and served it to the person. Awful communication between employees, and when I wanted to speak with a manager there wasnt one around that could actually help me with my situation. Wine tasting nights there are really disorganized as well. Bad experice both times I went and I wont go back again.
MoreFabulous entertainment, great wine, honest prices.
The place was very dirty. Food on the floor as well as every table. There was only one other couple in the place when we were there. No one even bothered to wipe of a place for anyone to eat. So i did it myself. Food was so so. Not sure if I will be back. Not impressed
MoreGood food just takes a while to get it cause they are busy plus good for takes time
MoreGreat wine, great service, really fun Karaoke on Friday night!
Love, love, love the food, the atmosphere, great place to meet for lunch or take your special someone for wine tasting and steak!!!!
MoreIf you are looking for a hidden gem for an AMAZING burger, then do yourself a favor and go here. SOOO good.
MoreMy husband and i have shopped at Zinks since the 1970s. I have shopped less since he passed away, but we always loved Zinkds meat market. Still do!
MoreTry the Hunter burger. It was superb! This will become a regular place.
Good food. Dont go if you are on a time crunch for lunch. Every time I have gone it has taken about 30 minutes for my order to come out and it was just me with a basic sandwich and fries.
MoreSo the quality of the food isnt bad. Its the service you should beware of. The last two times Ive went have been gravely disappointing. Im not rich, so I plan my orders ahead of time., I call. Incident 1: I go in to pick up an order, they dont have it and they tell me "were too busy, were getting ready for a wine tasting." Ah. OK. So I leave and dont come back for awhile because obviously they dont care about my business. Some time passes, I decide to give them a shot. I call in an order for Thanksgiving: boneless prime rib. Now again, Im not rich, but its Thanksgiving and that was requested. So I call 3 days in advance, give the date I need it (the Tuesday before Thanksgiving). I come in, theyve lost the order (againbut can I wait for them to cut another. Sure. I get it, feel it, and ask "is this boneless?" The cashier unwraps it quickly, looks at it, and says "yes." OK, they work at a meat shop, sure, they know. So fast-forward a day. Its the night before Thanksgiving, Im getting everything prepped. And guess what, its not boneless. There are quite a few bones. I call and leave a message. Now I dont expect to hear back till Friday. I make the meat. I dont have enough. Dont hear a thing back. So I call back on Cyber Monday. They dont do returns w/o product and a receipt. Fine. My credit card company says they can dispute the charge because of quality issues. My card company begins the process and calls them. They say they can do a refund. I get a call the next morning from the owner who tells me she needs information. Theres an angry "sorry, the employee who agreed to that has been reprimanded." Theres "Oh who was here?" There isnt how can I make this up to you? She really wants me to confirm which employees screwed up. "Was it so&so? He looks like this. You cant mistake him." So basically, no shes not going to do the refund, thats not their policy, thank you good day.So yeah. I didnt need a full refund. BUT she didnt ask or offer anything. The issue was service. And it wasnt good.
MoreNot kidding, I just had the best hamburger ever. Zinks is a meat market, wine shop and short order grill.
MoreI recently bought some ham salad and roast beef for sandwiches. The ham salad had an okay flavor but was the consistency of paste. The roast beef was just okay. The store appeared to be geared more towards the wine tasting direction and less of a meat market, since there was very little space dedicated to any meats.
