Zeytoon Persian Charcoal Restaurant - Restaurant in Bradford, United Kingdom
Have visited Zeytoon several times and is hands down the best Persian restaurant ever. Great vegetarian selection and food is served promptly. Service is outstanding and needs are taken into account. Was gutted to see that the place was shut and was put to let. Hopefully they will relocate and open elsewhere.
Well, I went there with a high expectation based on the current rate of 4.2, but I got disappointed! The owner is a very nice guy, friendly and caring, but honestly lack of organisation made his service very poor. They werenโt sure which food is available and which is not, wrong food was served, kebab was not properly cooked, and compared to standard Persian food, the quality was quite average. I probably wonโt go there again if I want to spend a quality time with friends, I may just go to have cheap foods to just not be hungry if I am passing by!!!
Came on a Saturday with my partner and ordered the lamb and chicken skewer (which came with rice and salad). Iโm not a big meat eater but last time I visited the lamb was BEAUTIFUL, and this time was no different. Rice is also lovely. My partner ordered a bolognese burger, which was bolognese cooked into the middle of a bread roll (with chips). He said it was very good but a little dry - but he could have asked for ketchup! Staff are very nice. It was about ยฃ22 for the two of us - including drinks. Definitely recommend and will return.
Realy nice staff.verry good food prepared in the moment you order(so verry fresh).i will come again when i will have the chance.thank you verry much
Not happy with my order at all, ordered at around 8pm for a 8.30 pick up but at 9pm they had still Not put my food on to be cooked let alone pick it up!!!!!! Very dissapointed! Also the mirza gasemi was not the same as what i usually order; it was either something different off the Menu or they have changed their recipe - whatever the reason i will not order again!!
Lovely people, lovely food. Will definitely go again ๐
Me and my husband ate here last night the food was absolutely delish and stuff were so nice and polite will be eating here again๐๐๐
Took my wife here tonight will be coming again inshallah absolutely delicious food and really polite stuff jazakallah hu khair ๐๐๐
The food was very delicious and it is a family friendly environment that I recommend to everyone.
I have been in this restaurant couple of times never disappointed,itโs nice and tidy restaurant with a nice and friendly staff ,the food stunning ,I ordered mix kebab for two ,and some kash badmjan as a starter been enjoying all, highly recommended ๐
Ordered Gormeh Sabzi and there was not 1 piece of meat in either 2 potions ordered was not happy about this so returned the 2 dishes
Nan very bad food too expensive unlike
Good quality charcoal-cooked Persian food, lovely staff and reasonably priced. Its a shame the toilets are up a spiral staircase as it makes matters less accessable. No parking also becomes annoying but there is on street parking close by. Not the best suited for disabled users but all things aside, a pleasant addition to Bradfords cultural cuisine. Definitely recommended
Food was really good although it did take a little time to come out. When it did come out we really enjoyed it. Would go again for sure. Friendly staff too.
Unbelievably bad service. I walked in and ordered takeaway and was told 15 mins waiting time. 50 mins later I was still waiting. I only ordered a barg and a kabirah kebab. When i enquired I was told that they had given my order to another takeaway customer who had already walked out. So next minute a chef runs out to catch the customer. Short time later he returns and removes my food out of the other customers bag. Bags mine up and gives 2 cokes as consolation its now an hour since ordering. Arriving home upon inspection part of my order is missing plus what I got: Portion size extremely small. Nan bread thin and cold as it was wrapped in a thin paper bag like ones in a sweet shop.I saw three Chefs in this place faff around as though they were lost . Restaurant had only 11 people in. This place is BADLY RUN. Its a joke "Fawlty Towers" comes to mind.
Travelling through Bradford. Needed a place to eat. This place is nice and small. We chose mixed grill 2 platters, barbecued chicken pizza.and veg pizza. Bread and humous and Saffron rice which was just beautiful. The food was delicious. They were short staffed and a bit slow. So food took a while to come out. They also had a shisha lounge upstairs which is not really ideal if you have children with you as the smell is wafting down the open stairs. All in all food was good however a tad overpriced.
Beautifully prepared food. Really nice staff. Friendly atmosphere
Yummy Persian Kebab and dishes cooked of high quality raw materials. It is worth trying.
I write this review as I visited the place a few ago and I promised the owner that Iโll leave a google review. Iโve been to Zeytoon 3 times now and every time I Iโm blown away with the quality of food and service of the staff. The owner always recommends me different dishes all the time which is amazing and I look forward to my next visit ๐๐๐
The food was delicious prepared in view, and theres a wide variety of food on the menu. Very clean and spacious inside.
We went as a family at lunch time (12-4pmso were able to get the reduced rate for the mains. At around ยฃ6 pp it was really worth it.The traditional foods we tried were all good which included the lamb shank (cost extra), an aubergine/lamb curry and grilled lamb and steak. All came with chips, rice or naan. We ordered a pizza for ยฃ5 which was a good size but tasted okay not great. The setting is reasonable. Would recommend for the lunch menu if youre nearby and is good for families or groups as well.
Food is below average.Naan very bad. More like a pancake.Baba ganoush over cooked.Hummous very basic.Falafel mostly burnt.Waitress was nice but main staff disinterested in customers.Overall very bland.Would not recommend.
Place looks nice, good customer service but food was quite bland.
Very good Persian food. Very friendly staff.
disgusting old smelly food, Nando or pizza hut etc million times better for the price, been with family based on online reviews ,never trust online reviews!
Lamb shank here is amazing. Definitely worth a visit!
Such good food and service. Always leave happy
Amazing food with friendly staff and great decoration inside
The service is okay, Food is okay but expensive comparing with the food quality and quantity.
I didnt like the food too much it was very bland and the whole restaurant felt more like a fast food but more expensive and with less food on your plate. They do not even have a card reader. Honestly dixy chicken has better flavours
Fantastic food, freshly cooked on real charcoal grill in an open kitchen - great to watch it all being put together if your sat downstairs. The freshness and quality is just obvious. Great for eating on your own and certainly ideal for groups and sharing between also. Spacious dining area, generous portions and very good value for money. Staff were really friendly and attentive also. Cant wait to go back soon!
Very very nice & delicious food , lovely & friendly staff. indeed the best Persian restaurant in York shire.I recommend to everyone to try here
Fresh and delicious charcoal fish . U should try their food . Lovely place. Friendly staff. Best Persian Restaurant Ive been . ๐๐๐๐๐
Food freshly cooked. Shared one of the mixed dishes between three, very nice.
Good food and kind staff, but nothing special.
Ive ordered chenjeh (grilled lamb steakand Ive enjoyed to the last piece. Very warm atmosphere ๐
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing.we enjoyed
I have really enjoyed. Delicious food.friendly and so polite stuff .definitely halal food. I recommend have try it
NOT HALAL.... secretly serves alcohol and is very biased towards Pakistanis but is more than happy to take their money. The owner is very rude towards male customers who come to dine with their wives but seems extremely comfortable in trying to engage conversation with women, this made for an extremely uncomfortable dining experience, please check the food and hygiene rated 2 !!
It was ok was not the best Persian place I had been too. The hummus was not nice at all neither was any of the bread, the mains were nice. The staff are really friendly and customer service is good.
The food was Amazing and staff were friendly and funny.
Fantastic food and a wonderful, warm reception from the host. Food was quick to arrive and we were also given a complimentary garlic pizza bread. Also had Persian tea which went great with the starters. Wholly recommend this place if you enjoy Persian/Middle Eastern cuisine.
Delicious food, first class service, its definitely a must try, been to many middle eastern restaurant, food here was far by the best, freshly cooked, salads were fresh, delicious rice and mains were generous sized portions, if your looking to try something different, its defo to try!
Delicious food and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back!
Loved it. Bradford watch out, theres a new competition and right now, beats the others hands down.I have eaten at a lot of places, especially edgeware Road, London. This place beats the Maroush and Al Areb and others up and down London W2 hands down!
Weve eaten here twice now and the food was perfectly cooked both times and the lamb and chicken were good quality. I can recommend the Barg, Chenjeh and Baktiari dishes and also the Zeytoon Mezeh which was a perfect size for three hungry people but would be adequate for 4 with smaller appetites. Service was friendly and prompt too.
Flavoursome and delicious food. The meat and chicken were cooked perfectly!
The best Persian food weve ever had. Tender, juicy and flavoursome grilled meat, with delicately spiced, moreish dips. Service was excellent too, highly recommended.
I ordered the Koobideh with rice, and enjoyed eating them throughly. The kebabs were made fresh to order and tasted great! The manager/ boss was very friendly and welcoming.
great food great staff, the boss mans a legend
