Zeus Street Greek - Greek restaurant in Sydney, Australia
Food was great. Kitchen was in a bit of chaos as I saw my food being served to another table. Got everything I ordered eventually and had quite the laugh about it.
Don’t order Uber eats from here. Constantly cold and issues with orders. The last order the drinks condensated wrecking the bag making half the order fall on the floor - that wasn’t such a drama as the floor probably enjoyed the wet, moist food more than I would have. Poor effort delivering what otherwise could be good food.Update.Ordered again. Why I thought things would change…. Not only was there more moisture issues. There were also wrong and missing items in the order. I mean… really?!
I m just giving star for service cashier or wauter who ever that guy touch head of the knifes and porks there is no health safety i didnt complain about food its just health safety
Visited few times, tried pita wraps and spartan bows, it was great. Love the HALOUMI chips!
Food: 2/5We got several different wraps and I personally had the Zeus wrap. We also got large fries as well as all 4 dips with bread. The large fries is disappointingly small for a large portioning as well as very expensive. Whilst they were crisp, they were not of good value. The dips itself was also a let down, being very basic dips without much flavour, albeit the bread was good. Lastly, the Zeus wrap was mediocre, relying heavily on just mayo to be flavour, and had a rather chewy texture to the lamb and overall lack of combination of flavours between the salad, lamb and the sauceService: 3/5We werent greeted, however when we ordered using their online menu, it came out really fastAtmosphere: 2/5Located in a good court, it has some nice decorations but nothing super vibeyOverall: would only come again if I needed something fast and I didnt want to eat anything else in the food court. Would try something besides the Zeus wrap
Great vegan wraps and super chips. Plus coffee is really great too 👍
Ordered a chicken tzimmy through uber eats,Received a burned chicken/pork roll. I missed my whole work break didn’t have time to order again or buy something else to eat.I have been a loyal customer for a very long time, I’m very disappointed and won’t be eating at any of your branches in the future.
No flavour , very small portion and expensive for something so small
Nice seating and all so you think is a nice restaurant but they charge you for hot sauce? Dont be cheap. Even Guzman y Gomez gives you sauces. The service needs some friendliness.Food was ok but not an enjoyable experience to return to.
I’m shocking at writing reviews but this was the Best Chicken Schnitzel pita I’ve ever had! I went back 3 days in a row and am so sad that I had to leave Sydney and can only hope I can create the same at home… highly doubtful! I recommend this place 100%
I have been to Zeus previously (Gladesville, Drummoyne and Roseberyand found it pretty good. Today I went to the Broadway restaurant for lunch. I had the Spartan Bowl with lamb, Yia Yias chips, warm pita and a coke no sugar. The total cost was $28. I was prepared for the price because I can read a menu and see how much things cost. When the food came out I was disappointed with was the portion size. I was actually very disappointed. For $23.50 (minus the cost of thevery expensive drinkyou should be getting a somewhat larger portion than I received. I will say the lamb was very nice, the pita was as described albeit small and the chips were ok. Not very good value for money and I would be hesitant to eat here again.
Have had some very nice food here on occasion, but the service is often not very good. During covid they stopped providing free table water because somehow using a jug and glasses is a covid risk… more than plates, cutlery and bottles?? Not sure how that makes sense. One girl serving was particularly unhelpful and left our food so late that the kitchen staff gave up waiting for her and had to bring it over instead
Asked for Zeus lamb wrap (the first food on left top side of the menuand also showed it on the menu to the girl working there which exactly says Lamb. Took them nearly 25 minutes even they had just 5-6 customers inside around 2:40 pm and finally, after all, when I drove back home and opened the box, it was chicken inside! Very interesting! Not even apologised for such a delay after 25 minutes waiting when she finally gave the food to me!
The vegan chicken and lamb is amazing and tastes quite realistic, would totally recommend. The only thing I didn’t like was it had an excessive amount of oil, basically dripping of it. Love the pita bread too and I think the portions are great.
Entry level to Greeks food!!! If you want to experience Greeks food. Or simply just craving for Greek style grilled. Freshly prepared , taste really good.
We ordered through the QR code on the table and the kitchen didnt receive it. It took us 55 minutes to receive two plates of dips and a coffee, after we mentioned to the staff that wed been waiting.
Food was less than basic, ordered a Chicken Spartan Bowl, a few pieces of chicken, with a salad and some Pitta but the thing that got me was the dip. I was expecting a nice tangy flavour-some dip which was was supposed tobe Tzatziki but it was more like a flavour-less Putty. I really couldnt figure out what it was made of. Not happy when it costs just on $31 for a delivered meal
Very nice food and patient service! Highly recommend it. I had a stravros stravrou and it tasted lovely!
This place serves nice Greek food and drinks, and good customer service too. It is now serves plant based menu that we should try. It is located inside Broadway Shopping Centre and usually opens late too
The meal was ok, asked if I wanted extra 80g of chicken I said sure. Looked at the receipt and it was an additional $8.00. I asked if it’s not too late to cancel but apparently can’t get a refund. Won’t give you a one star as I enjoy your foods but your price for 80g of chicken is extremely over priced.
Good food, nice customer service and beautiful shop with comfy sit on the inside
I love Zeus! I come here a lot with family and am never disappointed. I get my delicious food for $15 within 15 minutes and am always happy. The lamb classic Tzimmy is delicious! I am waited on by helpful staff that fail to disappoint. I love coming here, highly recommended, must come!
Average flavours small portions.Went here for lunch. Ordered a classic wrap expecting an average sized pitta full of meat and veg. What I received was a half size pita (maybe 3/4 size if Im being generousconservatively filled. Considering the prices are mid range for fast food (~$20-$30 per person if ordering chips I expected a meal that was filling and left disappointed. That being said they cannot be faulted on service or flavor. The flavour is exactly what you would expect for the price, in a much smaller than expected package. Go here if you have a small stomach and a large wallet.
A very friendly host seated us quickly and it was a very quick turnaround from ordering food to eating. The lamb Spartan bowl was delicious. My only feedback would be table service would be handy but its not enough to warrant not giving a top rating. For the parents, we were given a jigsaw whilst we waited, which was the perfect distraction for tired little ones. Thanks for looking after us.
Terrible customer service by counter staff member (who claimed to be manager). Ordered a kids meal - which comes with a juice. Paid, and sat down and was served meal, waiter offered water as they had no ‘kids juice’, my child didn’t want water as we already had table water. Waiter offered a soft drink which I accepted. He went off to get it but was told by counter staff member that we couldn’t have it as it exceeded the cost of the child’s juice. Meanwhile I looked at the menu and saw they had regular juice for 50c more than the child juice - so I asked for one of those instead. Counter woman came over and refused, and said they hadn’t received the juice order this week and I could only have water. I explained that she hadn’t told me there was no child’s juice when I ordered and she took my money. She just shrugged. I asked her if she seriously was arguing with a customer over 50c - she told me I was in the wrong. I asked for manager, she said it was her initially but then told me he would be arriving soon. So I waited. When he arrived he got the run down from his staff member and came to explain to me how I was mistaken, but re-offered me the soft drink. Needless to say I won’t be back. Had been going here after school pick up for about 5 years.
I’ve never stepped in the location, nor heard of the chain before, but we found it on Uber Eats and opted to give it a go. We then ordered from here nearly every day while in our 2 week quarantine prior to a job startup.Zeus was the single thing that made this 14 day situation bearable. The food was great, and consistent quality, everything was flavourful but not greasy, there was healthy options, (and less healthy options for those in the group who wanted it)Basically, something for everyone.I’ve lived in Greece for a chunk of time and I just didn’t expect much from Greek food in Australia and certainly not from “fast food” but this place is awesome. Love the Spartan bowls. The Keto bowls are great... we ordered chicken and lamb regularly. Thanks guys for keeping our spirits high during Covid Prison, and huge thanks to Monica for her amazing customer service and going above and beyond for us.Huge recommendation!
For mass produced Greek fast food they do reasonbly well. Food is fresh. Service was really quick. Got here on 12 and it was empty by 12.30 full. I like tha lamb. Mid-sized chunks grilled so seared but juicy inside. The dips are standard. They do miss that finàl 10% an authentic greek family brings overall they do fairly well.
Fabulous chips that crunch to the last, succulent lamb with juicy barbecued goodness. Greek salad of the freshest tomatoes and cucmber, fetta cheese and kalamatta olives. Tzatziki a concentrated coolness that was perfect on its own. Ill be coming back to try some more.
After meditation class good food needs to be had...I found myself staring at the halloumi and Yia Yias chips... We ordered those with a Greek salad and Spanakopita... the Spanakopita (not picturedand Halloumi chips fabulous... while the chips were as you’d want them to be crunchy and delicious the sprinkled feta hard to pick up with the chips and for me the salad while tasty....needed capsicum. Definitely give them a try... Staff are lovely too.
My brother JD and I came in to eat the other day. I had seen advertisements for this place in the past and wanted to try it out. I’m a big fan of Mediterranean & Greek cuisine. I had high expectations for this place before trying it.We each ordered a spartan box, I choose the chicken thigh while JD did the lamb. We each had a salad (Greek & Zeus Slaw— we also ordered a side of fries and the pita plate with tzatzaki. Our meat did not come out hot as expected, the flavor was a bit bland. The salads were both enjoyable. The spicy tzatziki dip was really good and we were given a generous portion of tzatziki with our side of pita bread.I was disappointed with the size of the spartan box, I would like to have a larger portion of meat for the price we paid. The staff was very friendly and provided great conversation while awaiting our food... however, we were never brought tap water to our table which we found to be wanting after our meal.
Excellent tasting and perfect pitas. The bread is warm, the meats freshly cut from the spit, the right amount of salad plus the chips inside as well. Delicious.
The food here was great! We ordered the meal for 2 combo and it was worth the price in my opinion. The food was tasty and filling (calamari and lamb were superbThe sauces were not bad too. We also got student discounts so it was cheaper compared to the original price. The customer service was great. Would definitely come again :)
This place has a good set up and nice that you can sit down. They serve a range of drinks (soft drinks/alcohol). The food was fresh and staff were friendly & chatty. The food wasnt presented very well and not as expected or advertised. I asked for my pitta to be extra spicy but it was mild with little flavour. Probably nice if you like Greek food and mild tastes. I didnt find the food overly enjoyable because I found it too bland for my palate. The desserts were nice. I think the baklava would be nicer served warm with ice cream, as it was a bit difficult to cut in to.
Great for a quick, tasty bite. I love the lamb Spartan Box (you can pick whichever meat and salad combos you want), and the smashed baklava with creme fraiche is fantastic. Coffee is also decent.
The Zeus lamb pita and the Halloumi Chips were awesome!
I tried the kalamaris kebab. Maybe I wouldnt order again. In my opinion it wasnt bad but good neither. The staff clean the tables after the customer leave. The boy who is cashier smile while talking to you. Dont know his name so I cant tell it. But he makes feel good talking with him.
Amazing customer service, very unexpected and quite shocking to find such level of service at a food court restaurant. Food was amazing, highly recommend the calamari pitas!
We really enjoyed the calamari pita and haloumi chips from this store. The pita was very filling. Service was also friendly. We will return!
Fluffy glorious pitas filled with the most moist and scrumptious lamb off the spit is heavenly! A stunning setup on the top floor of Broadway Shopping Centre. Very inviting ambience with amazingly friendly staff serving. I love going here on a Sunday, especially during brunch hours as its quiet. Its well patronised by diners of all backgrounds and ages. Menu is impressive and reasonably priced. The freshness of the ingredients they use is a huge plus. This is Mediterranean cuisine with a Greek touch to tickle your appetite! One of the best Geek eateries this side of the city of Sydney! Wheelchair friendly. No lavatory here but theres plenty inside this centre. Easy access to parking and same floor as the cinema! Love it!
Zeus Street Greek has the best Fried Calamari I have ever eaten!! Their Fried Calamari is thickly cut yet super tender and crispy at the same time, and it is done in a way that allows all the natural flavors of the squid to ooze through!! And their Lamb Shoulder (Lamb from the Spitis among my top 2 lamb dishes in Sydney because it is consistently succulent, lean, tender, and exploding with the very best of Greek flavors!!
food is good there but while I was eating I was just looking there grill when they cook the any meat. And the girl at the front was dealing with money , dirty dishes and she touch the meat without gloves. After I ate I do not want to complain but I walk to girl and told her she should use something like food gloves.
Enjoyed my meal. Great decor and staff. Enjoy my lamb pitas. Very tender and tasty.
We enjoyed tasty lamb, chicken and salads, a selection of dips (Spartan mealsand really good halumi chips. The staff were friendly and the service was fast.
Friendly staff, clean, well-presented shop with a good range of options for all. Will return for a future visit.
Very average food was served today. The pilaf recipe has changed since I last had Zeus just tasted bland with the new addition of shallots and oregano it was dry and not enough to satisfy my tastebuds. Meats came out lukewarm and the white taramoslata dip tasted like it came out of a supermarket bought container dip. The only thing I enjoyed were the fluffy pitas and the new potato sesonal salad. Staff were nice but lacked initiative. There were 13 dirty tables while we sat down and had our meals for 30 mins only 2 were cleaned.
Zeus offers good Greek staples including delicious grilled meats, salads, halloumi and more. The halloumi to start is perfect & love the spanakopita with a good hit of dill. I love all the meats here and its always super tender and tasty. Chips are so good here - crispy, well seasoned, addictive. The loukomades is one of my favourites especially when served with chocolate sauce. They also do great coffees, Greek biscuits & house made muffins which are all fantastic!
Delicious!I first tried the vegetarian haloumi souvla which was a bit bland, but decided to give it another go and Im so glad I did.The Zeus Lamb was great - smoky, tender meat, smoked eggplant dip, coleslaw. Such a nice balance of flavours. I also recommend the Uncle Tzimmy Lamb and Chicken.I wouldnt say its overpriced per se, but a big eater would likely still be hungry ordering just a souvla. The Greek beers are a nice afterthought, but frankly dont pack much of a punch. Theres a reason the Grecians arent famous for their beer...
Zeus looses me with the small portion sizes and lack of seasoning. I was really missing some more spice in the meal. For $15 with a drink I would hope to be full, but there was really not a lot of food - and what little there was was mostly the pita.
The pork was great and I had the best pita the papou niko the service was great the food was out very quick and the staff are ver friendly
The Athenian yeeros was delicious and succulent! Go for the feta on your chips. Its worth it! Polite staff, great decor and professional service!
