Beautiful place, especially the view!!

Very friendly owners, nice Terrasse for dribling Espresso with a great view!

The host (or ownerwelcomed us with a big smile, lovely man. We didnt do a guided tour but walked around freely in the house. 250 leks per person only. We stayed for a very nice coffee on the terrace and enjoyed the amazing view and the owner invited us a shot of Raki that was homemade and very nice so we bought a bottle for 3 euros

Perhaps the best historical house to visit in Gjirocaster, certainly the most impressive from an architectural standpoint.250Lek to visit the home of an Ottoman senior politician from the nineteenth century. In great condition with rooms restored.A steep but easy walk up from the bazaar.

Beautiful typical Ottoman house dating from the early 19th century. The owner is very nice and you can tell he works hard to keep the grounds beautiful for guests to visit.

old Othman house well maintained go back to 1810 with 2 living rooms at top floor for old house owners, 2 living rooms at 2nd floor for old servants. I recommend visiting

It was so interesting to see this house. You could get a good feeling on how the rich and powerful lived 150 years ago.The owner? Or host was such a sweet man, and he charged very little.

A three store beautiful house from the early 19th c. Some of the rooms are furnished according to its initial use. The main room is really beautiful. Worth the visit for 200 l.

I definitely recommend a visit to Zekate house. An amazing self-guided tour of an Ottoman style house, where you can see the different levels of living on each floor of the house. There are information boards on each floor. The top floor has spectacular views of the surrounding area. The entrance fee is 200lek/person (August 2021).

Very rude man (friends of owneras we entered . Ruined our experience as Albanians are usually friendly .

Rude caretaker (friends of the owner , go to skenduli house as the people are much friendlier and it’s better organised. Please learn how to treat tourists properly in future .

House is impressive, highly recommend visiting. Also, take the time to have a coffee, enjoy the view, and chat with the owner. He is so kind and made our visit extra special/memorable.

Beautiful old house. A nice city view opportunity. Self guided tour takes about 20mins. Cafe/bar on the terrace is the place for a rest before the walk back down to the town.

Entry was 200 lek. The ticket guy was incredibly enthusiastic and kind. There is beer at the top with cold glasses. The house is beautiful and well worth a visit for the price.

Great place to visit an authentic Ottoman house. There is also a small cafe beside the house with a great view over Gjokaster, which is run by the friendly owners of the house.

On the top of the mountain. The caretakers are the rudest people i have ever seen. He refused to sell me coffee and water unless i bought a museum ticket and stopped me to take a photo outside the museum, raised his hand to me.

Stunning place, the most interesting traditional house to visit in town and the one with the most frescos in the guest room. Its more difficult to reach than the rest, but its well worth the extra effort.

The zekate house was very interesting to look at. There you can see how they lived back then, and in the end you have a stunning view over the valley in Gjirokaster.

One of the most beautiful ottoman style houses of Gjirokaster and well preserved too. By car its easy to go but by foot a bit tiring though it is worth it with the panoramic view it offers!

This is an excellent example of traditional Ottoman style architecture typical of the Gjirocaster area. Like many of these homes it is showing its age and could benefit from some professional preservation efforts.
