Zaragoza Grill at La Posada Hotel in Nuevo Laredo

I always have the curiosity too stay in this hotel finally got it Really it’s nothing spectacular old beds very uncomfortable room service was OK when you drive on street and you see those flags make you think it’s a five-star hotel but two stars will be enough Hilton hundred percent much better

Really enjoyed the hotel and my stay overnight. Complimentary breakfast was good, and was not your typical continental breakfast and included wait service. The hotel is older and the building is dated but it had all the needed amenities including fast free Internet. I booked this hotel knowing the building is older, but it was just as I expected and I will be returning.

I was amazed, the staff are very professional, my room was very clean, only issue is parking, the gate guard always trying to send me to the underground parking and its tight so its a back n forth but otherwise, 👍🏾

Hotel has a very interesting background history.The staff was very professional and quick about checking in, plenty of parking but we did get lost down there but we found our way inside without issues.Love the cleanliness of the Hotel, the atmosphere is positive and inviting. Breakfast was fantastic!! One of the best places Ive stayed in a long time.

Room was Humid, TV were beyond outdated. They need to go to Black Friday and get 4k tvs. Very old Appliances. The building is great Historic. But really need to keep pools Clean and Better room services.

Such a beautiful hotel. The experience there was very lovely. The view at night was spectacular and the staff was extremely friendly. We had guests over and it was such a beautiful experience. I highly recommend this location if you are ever in Laredo. It is definitely worth the drive to come and stay

Restaurant staff very courteous and friendly; Breakfast was delicious; evening meal at the Quarterdeck was outstanding... one of the best steaks Ive had in a long time, anywhere; bed very firm and comfortable. Great place... the only hotel left practically anywhere where you can always score a great home-cooked breakfast and delicious dinners... although I am a Platinum Elite member of the IHG and have stayed at Holiday Inns for years, and also a member of Hilton Honors, I drive out of my way to stay at La Posada whenever I go to Laredo.

Judging from the look of the area, Im sure that at one point this might have been a 4 Diamond hotel, but not anymore. The list of things that were not kosher: Money was stolen from my room, had to eat in the dining area with plastic utensils, the tv never worked, even after we complained to the front desk, there was a lot of confusion about deliveries, they left my wife in the pool without delivery when she asked for towels, etc., etc. If I were you, I would keep looking as this PLACE IS A DUMP! The staff looked very uninterested in being helpful, and generally had an "... dont bother me" attitude. If you can, look elsewhere...

If im ever back in Laredo, ill be staying here again! Very nice staff, nice rooms!

Wonderful old world charm with modern ameties, great food, and exceptional service

It is always such a joy to return to La Posada. We were married there in 2017 and its still just as beautiful and welcoming today. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and you cant beat the service and price!

Great staff! Valet parking, room service, full restaurant and bar downstairs, two heated pools, ball room, and banquet hall, full gym, business center, large common room upstairs.

Super dog friendly place, spacious and clean room, comfy bed, great pool, delicious food in hotel restaurant and they allow your well behaved dog to join you there. No online reservation system but we called and our room was held and waiting for us without a credit card provided! Very close to outlet shopping and the border crossing. We will be returning in 6 months! Very nice front desk staff.

Had a great stay 1st time staying there so kinda confused where our room was but a very nice housekeeper was super curtious n took us ( showed us 2our room I thought that was nice cuz some ppl just point towards the direction or just tell u u go here n there b its up 2 u 2 figure it out thx for that n we went 2 a 50th wedding ceremony at 1 of the party rooms VERY nice ppl attending 2 da wedding party were all wearing their masks n dey were courtious n attentive everything was on Q DJ had GREAT music food was delish n cake was also good thx La Posado for having great staff give u a 10 👍🏻👍🏻

Beautiful hotel on the inside and out. Warm, friendly employees and the food in the restaurant was very tasty.

First two rooms they sent us to were not clean third one was real nice till the Heat went out. At 11pm they moved us to our fourth room. Overall room was nice just had a bad experience when I asked about possibly a discount on the next time we come due to my daughter participating in other pageants. All they said at the front desk was well you get free breakfast I said that’s free with the room so I just walked away. I don’t think I’ll be staying there again.

Great tastimg food, easy access and very traditional feel.

Really cool exterior and great vibe but needs to be updated. Everything from comfort of bed to the tvs and showers etc..Breakfast post covid is pretty pathetic when compared to before.May be time for another hotel when we come down.

Fantastic hotel, great personality and service. Beautiful grounds, quick service to correct the air conditioning. I would love to stay again. Also loved the prime rib dinner from the Tack Room.

The actual premises and room are really nice. The layout is the most confusing I have ever seen for a hotel. They do not allow door dash to come to your room and you must pick the food up from the lobby. I am quarantining in my room and the hotel staff does not permit me to leave my room, but they also will not bring me door dash orders or room service. They will leave towels outside my door and I am unsure how leaving food outside of my door is any different than leaving towels. Ive got 5 days left of mooching off of my buddies to bring me food so that I can safely quarantine and not expose anyone to Covid-19.

Awesome place, and they accept dogs. Or used to, at least. They are presently not accepting reservations but won’t say why. Online searches point to a couple articles about an apparently failed attempt at building a convention center. Called and asked what is going on but received no reasonable explanation.

Rooms are great wifi is good but the restaurant downstairs common guys from the time I sat down to the time my food hit the table 1 hour 45 minutes it seams like yall are going for the 4-5 star restaurant vibe but that alone Id would typically walk out of your every day diner Im here for the next 10 months please improve on that guys

Gorgeous hotel! Great staff that go above and beyond to take care of all your needs. Very quiet and well maintained. Make sure to have the Kobe Beef Burger at the Zaragoza Grill located in the hotel! It is phenomenal! ❤️

I spent 2 weeks traveling around Texas and this was my favourite hotel. AC was great, place was unique and had a nice history element to it. Bar and Grill had a nice alternative if youre not into a whole steak dinner. Suites had two bathrooms!

This a gorgeous well kept hotel with excellent amenities and a beautiful pool. The rooms were clean and big. The building is huge and a great example of history in Laredo. If I ever return I will stay here.

Large 3 floor hotel. Our suite was larger than expected. The staff was accommodating and friendly. There are 2 restaurants on site and the food was tasty. The parking garage is funny in that only one car can pass when entering or exiting the levels (very, very tight turn). We actually found it kind of comical and I took it as a personal challenge. In a new Toyota 4 Runner i never was able to make the turn without backing up.... It is located in a cute little square near a pretty church and a shaded grassy park. You can see the Mexican border from the rear of the hotel. All in all a very nice stay. I would look forward to returning someday.🤞

Beautiful Hotel... the staff was very attentive despite computer issues and having to wait to be able to ck in. The food at the restaurant "thumbs up".. Ask for the "panchos" as appetizers not on menu but an option. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here two weeks. The breakfast was NEVER ready at 7am. They do not provide a coffee bar or any coffee in the morning whatsoever. You get a tiny in-room coffee maker that is a one-use only. The WiFi is terrible. If you are a business traveler and need serious internet for your work, find another hotel.

Courteous, friendly staff the hotel itself is beautiful and clean very historical looking. The food at the Zaragoza Grill was excellent! However my husband is wheel chair bound and the accessible room we were given was not very wheelchair friendly the doors are too narrow there were not any shower/transfer chairs in the restrooms or wheelchair height furnitue in the room , for example no table that was accessible. The carpet was not great for a chair to roll easily so I can only recommend this hotel to able-bodied people if you are wheelchair bound look elsewhere.

Rooms are fully booked for April and hotel won’t take reservations for May. Turns out the USG is taking all available rooms along the border to house illegal immigrants. Hotel manager claims they are normally this busy this time of year but we know that’s a lie. We’ve stayed at La Posada at least three times in May over the recent past. So, if you want to stay in a hotel on the border throw away your US passport.

Our family of 6 stayed here on our way to Mexico and everything about this place was great. We will definitely be back again. Our trailer wouldnt fit in the basement parking so they helped us park it in front of the hotel for the night. Our room was comfortable and clean, room service was great, the pool and patio was well maintained, and the hotel is just beautiful.I highly recommend.

The staff is amazing however the room is disappointing. The rooms are clearly old, the lights flicker or don’t turn on, I actually had a cockroach on my table, entering and exiting the room is near impossible with the way they have the curtains attached to the door.The food is good though. The walk to my room is too far and the laundry is out of service and never available

Great location, in historic downtown Laredo. Close to great shopping and historical museum.Staff is absolutely wonderful, 2 beautiful pools and lovely courtyards.Two restaurants one is casual one is a wonderful steakhouse with great food its definitely a must.Rooms are nice, large bathroom, and onsite laundry.

Laredos only 4 diamond hotel and it shows. The amenities are fantastic and the rooms fabulous. The staff prides themselves on professionalism. You really get the concierge treatment when staying here. And for the experience, its comparable in price to other hotels in the city, so its worth considering this over a national chain.

This was an amazing hotel. The beauty went beyond my expectations. I am already planning my next trip back to this incredible 4 Diamond resort. There are 2 pools, 1 has a hot tub and swim up bar while the other is a great spot for the younger crowd. The restaurant inside has a breakfast buffet with rich coffee! The rooms were clean and quite spacious. Amazing!

We had lunch there and pleasantly surprised by the good food and super friendly staff. Recommend it!

I stayed at La Posada for a week over the Christmas holidays. After this experience, I can’t imagine staying any other place. I found it enchanting from the moment I walked through the doors. The king size bed in the suite was incredibly comfortable with fresh linens every day. The bathroom was immaculate with enough towels and amenities for more than one person. Every single employee that I passed by spoke and all made sure that I had everything I could possibly need for my stay. The dining restaurants provided a wide variety of delicious meals. I really can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Thank you for making my holidays wonderful.

Very nice hotel for the price. Staff all super friendly and rooms were great. What follows is just some constructive critique. Pools and jacuzzi need a to have a skimmers added or pool net handy. As with other reviewers, I found it difficult to navigate the maze... my room was about as far from the lobby as possible and getting in and out of hotel required some effort until I did some scouting for alternative exits. Most exits to street were blocked with magnetic locks that normally I would expect my room key to open. The valet parking was a good deal and would strongly suggest every use the service. Also, please spray for roaches by pools and jacuzzi... is pretty scary after dark. We were chased out by them within a few minutes. That said, none were present in rooms which is most important. We will return for certain though.
