Zambrero Glenfield in Auckland

Just went to get a burrito bowl with lamb. The portion was smaller than I expected and the big guy next to me got a significantly bigger portion. When I asked girl about it, she said he got nachos. However, the meat was still much more than mine even ontop of his nachos, and more notably he had a mucher larger portion of salad and a generous helping of corn, whereas I got a sprinkle of corn..there is no consistency between portions (nacho bowl or rice bowl still should have the same amount of meat and salad), which is unfair when its costs over 15 bucks, so I would have expected to also get a decent portion like the customer next to me ☹️ Quite disappointing especially that the extra $2 I paid for the guacamole was literally a thin spread of avo, no onions/tomato etc. as a guac should be 😏 A bit disappointed especially because I didnt really want to buy here after my last experience of getting a tiny bowl. Would prefer going back to Mexicali Fresh even if I have to make the trip to Mission Bay, which has better portion sizes and actually felt like it was value for money.

Had a couple of Tacos and a Burrito. Both were delicious. The service wS very efficient and friendly.

Ordered through Menulog and the order never arrived. Severely disappointed.

This is my favourite taco/burrito store.They have some interesting options with things like black rice and a superfood salad. Really like the barbacoa beef.

Burrito tasted OK, but the staff member was incredibly stingy with the ingredients for the price.For example, after asking if I wanted beans in the burrito, he proceeded to smear literally 2 beans and a miserable quarter teaspoon of paste onto the tortilla. You’d think they were trying to feed 1000 people from a single pot. Cheese, sour cream and guacamole are all extra cost on a nearly $20 burrito which seems petty. I agreed to the extras, and got rewarded with a tiny pinch of cheese (maybe 8 or so bits of grated cheeseand about half a teaspoon of sour cream. Hardly enough to leave a mark, let alone taste.Only after protesting for extras of every ingredient did I end up with something nearly filling enough to justify the price. A bit cold and soggy, but the flavour was good enough.

Burritos are so tasty and really filling! Every time I order from here Ive never been let down. I could live off of the burritos here forever

Absolutely delicious, but missing all the extra condiments bought and paid for, and no offer of a refund or an apology, just thanks for letting us know. Such a shame, will go elsewhere next time.

Really disappointing. The staff were not at all welcoming. Half the tables were filthy and the food serving area was a mess. We were the only ones in there and the entire time we were eating the staff were in the back, didnt bother cleaning anything. Food was bland and pricy for the serving size. $2 extra for like a teaspoon of guac.

Just got my order. Even i mentioned need cutlery there wasnt even 1 piece of tissue. Food was good

Staff were very friendly and the interior was spotless. I was able to enjoy a cheesy and toasty lamb quesadilla, and hope to return for a taco sometime soon!

In comparison to mexicali, below average. Food was cold, looked and tasted like reheated chicken bits. Not enjoyable.

First time trying this place today and it was so yummy! Had the beef burrito bowl. Really good size. Hot, fresh and delicious.

Love this place, staff are always friendly and helpful. The deals they have are inexpensive and delicious. Highest recommendations to give it a try if you are in the area.

Food is good but staff are in the kitchen rather than out the front a little too often, am quite frequently left standing out the front waiting. Have seen multiple customers walk out during these occassions. Also rather expensive.

(UpdatedGreat place to eat for mexican although I only eat the burritos. They have kombucha for those who fancy them.They take online orders as well so you dont need to wait and order instore.Staff are nice and friendly and you can easily get a car park close to them at most likely any time of the day.Veggies can actually be taken off if not wanted. Its actually the sauce it seems that was hot but there is no indication of this when ordering. Would suggest to just put "(Hot)" or a chilli icon next to the hot ones to indicate this.

There was plastic piece inside the burrito. 😒

Fresh taste, great options. Good value for money. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Store is clean and well maintained.

Clean, neat and tidy Mexican place. Food is good, I love the idea of being able to customize my order. Kids portion sizes are perfect. Good place when you want to grab something spicy very quick.

So very disappointed with the food here. Smallest portions and no flavor at all!! I would choose MadMex or MexiCali over this place any day. Such poor value for money compared to other places.

I have come in here so close to closing multiple times and the staff even if they are prepping to close are welcoming and friendly. The young lady who served me Thurs 5th deserves a medal for being able to serve me quickly while I was tired and flu-ey/not quite knowing what I wanted. Also being aware/sensitive of dietary requirements. Also the food is great and appitisingly displayed :)

Loved it. Customer service is good. Food is a lot better than Taco Bell.

Absolute worst place. Do NOT come here!! First time they gave me corn (didn’t ask for it and the menu item didn’t even come with corn??and I’m highly allergic to it. Made a complaint and never heard back. Got uber eats agin just now to give them a second chance and tried the taco this time. Came all dismantled and the box was in the bag upside down? Took photos but can’t attach them for some reason. Not a nice place to come at all. So overpriced for the terrible quality food they give out. 0/10. If you want good quality Mexican food go somewhere else like Mexicali fresh.

This has to be the worst value over priced Mexican joint in NZ. Tiny meals for what is so cheap and easy too make. So dissapointed in the food that turned up. Should of just cooked ourselves. Will never again waste our money at this place again. RIP OFF. MEXICALI FRESH IS SO MUCH BETTER.

Love eating here! A wide option of meals to suit exactly what you feel like (as long as it’s Mexican of course!I enjoy the IQ bowl with verde sauce - amazing! I also really like their social initiative of buy one meal give one meal 🙂 the staff are very friendly and helpful with good combinations. Keep up the great work Zambrero Glenfield!

I had a specTACOlar experience at this restaurant! Friendly & helpful staff who seem happy to be there, clean & tidy restaurant, the food is so healthy & fresh unlike the other Mexican takeaway places Ive been to. Loved the IQ bowl with black rice. :)

The food was great, and their donation of food for those in need is amazing. Im always happy to support businesses who do awesome things like these - Ill definitely be back!

A lovely young man and woman served me on Friday evening. They were both very friendly and helpful. I told them about my allergy and the young man helped me find a sauce that I could eat! I had a great experience eating here.

Always so disappointed in their nachos :( not the worst but absolutely not great! Also dont order the two spiciest sauces, they counteract the spicyness with sweet fruit flavours and it completely ruins the point of getting a spicy sauce

Great service most of the time. Im a regular customer but find I try and get the three or four chefs who I like as the quality control is lacking- more or less toppings depending on who does it

First visit and was impressed. Great layout and very clean. Orders a bowl and burrito both had great flavors and value for money. Great thing is every meal you order they give a meal to the poor. As in a picture it shows they have over 18 million donated.

The staff are all very nice!! The asian girl makes the best burritos by far and is extremely friendly. Will definitely be going back there soon! :hehe

Awesome place. Nice and clean. Perfect place for a quick lunch while shopping and I can grab a coffee as I go. Best coffee, would recommend their hot chocolate as well!
