Zambrero Coogee in Sydney

Turned up to collect my order 30 mins after it said it would be ready and nobody had made it, they made it for me on the spot.This is the second time out of maybe six times Ive been that they havent had my food ready.

Grabbed some Dos Capas and chips and guac. Could not fault it. Fresh, light and tasty!If you haven’t had Zams in Coogee…I highly recommend it 💚

Staff reluctant to serve customers. Meat provided per large burrito is half a scoop. GG Burritos are better. However, the sauce was delicious

Was quite disgusted with the customer service that my boyfriend received today by the woman with short hair (lunchtime, 14th of December). He ordered two burritos, one with only rice and beans and no other filling, cheese, guac or salad, and the other with the full fillings and he was charged $14.40 for each one. At two other zambreros, they make the first burrito for $5 dollars, as it is a massive rip off to charge full price when you aren’t getting the majority of ingredients. Despite asking politely for the lower price, he was given a dirty look and was overcharged. Will not be going back here, and would not recommend based on the poor customer service.

Decent Mexican food. A good option in Coogee. Recommended for takeaway.

Claimed my free burrito here and have been feeling sick right after, and still feeling horrible now.

I ordered a vegetarian power bowl without jalapeño. Its always been a favourite and Im vegetarian. What I received was a bowl with white rice, jalapeño and MEAT!!!! Rest of order was correct. Uber are refunding but got no apology from the restaurant, they just said they couldnt help because they were closing. I felt physically sick which is lucky because without a replacement I should have been hungry. I would have liked Zambrero to acknowledge their mistake ... at least to say sorry. I used to order from here a lot. I wont be ordering again. Sloppy ... such a pityUpdate - following the reply below I sent a friendly email to the Coogee restaurant as advised. Food was cold and my partner has bones in his beef burrito.Terrible service also.On the phone to NAB to cancel the payment as we speak. menu log were not helpful in resolving this issue. This will be the last time I even purchase from Menulog. Thiefs!It is now about 4 -5 hours since ordering and my partner has vomited after having a bath. Menu log said they have refunded us..they havent.$41 for 2 burritos and a packed brownie. You deserve to be shut down. Appalling!

I really liked the food. It had all the ingredients that makes it tasty. I had 2 tacos. It is reasonably priced for coogee and healthy so it was good. The staff were friendly. Good location as it is on coogee bay road. I recommend this place coz its good priced and you dont wait too long for food. Its fast but healthy.

Paid for power bowl. It was still too miserly small. Paid extra dollar for extra bean mix. Got 1 tsp of beans! Not enough for lunch.

I requested a bean burrito and was given a beef 🌯burrito. I found out the hard way! $$$

The vegetarian burrito was soggy and had no taste. They need better veg/vegan options.

Terrible service was served by a woman who had such a unprofessional attitude and was extremely rude. Its a shame because the food is usually great! Please go and learn some manners she was rude and sarcastic about my order because it was too specific. I am the customer and i can choose what and how i want to eat.....

When your half way through a burrito bowl and find a dirty long brow hair in your food! Not ideal

The vegan IQ wrap is my favourite burrito in the world. 100% 5 star and I will keep coming back. Thanks again for an awesome meal.

If you think getting a serve of 1/2 cup of rice and a less then a tablespoon!!!!! of beans with corn and lettuce should cost 15$ then go ahead. Such a rip of.

Probably the most expensive Mexican Food you can buy. Definitely not value for money. Pretty bland tasting for Mexican food too. Not a fan

I don’t rate this place, it’s very meh. Everything about it is meh. The choices are meh, the portions are decent but taste is meh, prices are expensive for what your get. Just all round meh. I wouldn’t suggest going.

Prefer Guzman Y Gomez, however they do have good alcohol + food bundles.

Store does not close at 10, closes at 9 apparently? Overpriced, not large portions, everything is an extra charge. Would not recommend

Bit pricey but I wouldn’t get a burrito from anywhere else. Packed to the limit with all the good stuff and there’s plenty of it.

Mixed experience with this Zambrero. Sometimes they provide the full ingredients, but other times, they dont. Tonight, they failed to provide guacamole on all 3 of our veggie burritos. And they failed to provide double beans and rice when that is standard for veggie options. Zambrero often does better. I hope someone looks into this lousy service.

Food is good enough to eat but certainly not authentic. To top it off portions are very ungenerous especially when paying top dollar for a basic meal Perhaps a trip to Mexico to understand real hospitality where food is concerned might put things into perspective.

Smallest saddest burrito bowl I’ve ever had. Was so small wouldn’t be enough for a small child. Very very over priced, very disappointed.

Fresh & healthy food. Many vegetarian and vegan options. And very delicious!

Went to order a burrito today and walked out in disgust for lack of service and freshness of food. The employee was rude and didn’t do anything properly. I ordered black rice and she put on white, when I corrected her she scooped it off with her hands and put it in the trash in an extremely unappetizing fashion. Husband ordered the large burrito with 50% more filling and she was putting on the same amount as my regular burrito. All of the fixings were almost empty at 12:00, which makes me question how fresh it was.

When this first opened this place was great now its absolutely ridiculous the small amount of serving you receive is disguising the staff are so rude if you ask for a little bit more rice will never dine here again have been a loyal customer since it opened and it is now managed so poorly with portion size. Dont waste your time even entering this so called Mexican unless you want a lettuce wrap

Absolutely love Zambrero’s. However this store is terrible. Ordered 3 vegan burritos and they wouldn’t give us the extra beans and rice. When we asked them to keep adding more they responded “You already have enough.” If we are paying we should be able to have us much as we want. We are fine paying extra but they refused. Not to mention the woman couldn’t even fold the burritos. Drove 35 mins for the shittiest Zambrero’s we’ve ever had.

Ive tried GYG and Mad Mex and once I tried Zambrero, its been on my top list ever since. The burritos at Mad Mex lack a lot of taste, while the burritos at GYG are too soft and small for me. Zambrero not only has great taste and fresh ingredients, but everytime you buy a meal, they donate another meal to someone in need. I used to go to Mad Mex all the time, im not going back anytime soon.

Amazing vegan burrito. Workers are so kind and respectful and polite. I almost picked the garlic sauce by mistake but he reminded me theres dairy in it. What a kind guy!

To call that Mexican food is an insult to Mexico! That was horrible! The rice is sticky rice, like the kind youd get in an Indian restaurant, the chicken has a weird green color and the all over taste is just off. The hard tacos were okay but everything else was gross and went straight in the trash(and I never throw out foodNever ever going back there......

So so tight with servings. Pretty pathetic amount of meat. Not worth it. Guzman infinitely better.

Dont go here if youve just done a massive gym sesh and craving protein in the form of chicken, beef or pork. The meat servings will make you cry. I thought they were joking when I saw those two tiny teaspoons of meat placed on my Burrito. When I realised they were forreal I immediately requested more. They suggested I pay for double meat. I thought $12 was quite enough to spend on a Burrito and said no.I vowe to never return unless they begin serving reasonable sized potions of meat in the burrito. Until then I will take my burrito eating business elsewhere. Guzman never lets me down.(It was tasty though)

Good basic Mexican food for on the go. It might not be the most authentic but it always fills the craving.

To even suggest that Zambrero is Mexican food is a downright insult to Mexico, the Mexican people and Mexican cuisine.I have lived in San Diego and visited Texas and New Mexico. So I know a little about Mexican food.The only semblance to Mexican food is in the name. Thats it.It you must have a burrito with something, gather some soil, add water and grass, wrap it up in a pita bread and eat. If you must, add some sauce. You will be more satisfied than eating this pathetic joke.Its just gross - avoid at all costs.There are decent Mexican spots in Sydney: Flying Fajitas etc. Zambrero is not it.
