Zahr El-Laymoun - Lebanese restaurant in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Its changed to Syrian restaurant food not bad service is awful we cancel the order after one hour waiting location needs better quality staff and hospitality
Amazing place for Arabic food. The grill was perfectly done. Hummus was on point. Service is decent. Lovely ambience.
Fabulous and quite dining with great quality food and service
Average food. Everything was served cold. The staff were terrible. Overpriced . Only good thing was the view.Would never go back.
An absolut must!Gorgeous view at the waterfront. But the food was even better. The meat was very tender and juicy. I would come back!
Very beautiful and quiet place at night and the food is just delicious! I had the lemon mint juice, the mixed plate and the Fattet Zahr El-Laymoun witch I can only recommend highly! We got served by a really nice waiter called Ace. We are all very satisfied 👍🏽
Amazing food, great staff (we had Ace as a waiter, he’s lovely!). Especially the grilled meat is amazingly moist (mixed platter), and the Fattet Zahar El-Laymoun is really incredible… it’s worth every penny. And a beautiful view on the waterfront!Definitely worth a visit. It was also nice and quiet, really wonderful ambience.
Very bad experience, they didn’t have half of the food on the menu. We wanted jumbo shrimps, not available. Fish skewers, not available. Make sure before you order that the dishes on the menu are actually available!
Excellent food and service! Our server, Shybin, was very professional and courteous. We ordered Taouk and Kebab Zahr El-Laymoun and both dishes were delicious and you could tell they were freshly made. 10/10 for taste, presentation and portion size. Their fresh juice was perfect and not too sweet. The complimentary bread was piping hot and fresh and went with the rest of the meal very well.
Good food, fair service..Wouldnt recommend everything, however, some dishes are very good..Like their "Fatteh"..
Fresh food with a great view. If you want a restaurant that is bright and receives a lot of natural light during the day, this is the place to go for lunch. The kebabs and fatteh were very delicious.
Tasty food 🥘 a bit pricey and the staff need to be more patient with the customers ( I went there one hour before the last order and the waitress was waiting with the bill halfway through my dish )
Superb Lebanese restaurant situated on the Al Majaz Waterfront, with fabulous views of the lagoon.Their food is delicious, freshly prepared and their portions are big.Prices are high, though.
Some food was somewhat below average. Service was ok. It didnt feel like they were very welcoming.
House Salad was ok,Dont even try Shawarma, IT IS NOT, shawarma, it is just shredded meat and chicken, by far the worst (and also expensive).Tawook was ok.Batata Harra 👎Staff is friendly.I wouldnt recommend this place.
The outdoor area was very dark, ordered water.. while waiting decided to leave.. paid 22 dirhams for water only! This is outrageous!
I like the taste of food and the place and seats
If you are looking for Lebanese Cuisine then this is the right place with nice ambience. Pomegranate juice is the best one. I tried Haloumi grilled, Haloumi cheese rolls, Hummus, Hummus Beiruti. Try Maujawhara, the best cheese ball I have ever eaten. Medium priced menu, but must visit place.

Very bad experience, food tastes so bad.I ordered grilled chicken but I couldn’t eat it the taste was bad, I replaced it with beef shawarma and the beef was so tough and tasteless..
Not that great! The food mediocre and the worst part was that all the hosts and hostesses were highly demotivated because of being understaffed and because of salary cuts. This included the main welcoming hostess as well. However, heart goes out to the team as they still have to work! Speaks volumes about the way the owners and management are going about addressing the Covid challenges though. Now more than ever you need to stand with your employees!
Ambient is so good. Clear view of fountain. Food is totally deserve hype.Staff is so polite and helpful. Perfect place for evening quality time.
Location is great and if the weather is fine then setting outside facing the sea front is also great. There is enough parking around where you pay AED 10 per hour, and there is also Mawaqef parking around which is of course much cheaper but uou have to walk then for few hundred meters. Wheel chair access is available. Service is OK, food taste is OK but not Wow! Also I found the portions on the plates less than what O do expect from such a place. Peoces are expensive considering the average in Sharjah but very much similar to Dubai prices. Finally I expected to see some Falafel and French fries in the menu, but seems that they do not include any fried food into their menu.
Those stars are for the staff, the decor and the baba ghanouj. Shawarma was a dull stake cut in stripes,as well as tawook. Prices are not rezsonnable, small water at 14 dhs when it costs 1, it is a theft. I suggest manager to reconsidet the flavours and prices. I will never go there.
Serving sizes are extremely small, overpriced, and average tasting at best. Wait staff was polite, but that’s the only good thing I have to say. Will not be coming here again.
Visited here twice. First time with the family and second time as part of a very large work gathering. First time we did a la cart, second time it was a set menu for the whole group (200 people). While the atmosphere is very nice, the seating is comfortably spacious, unfortunately the food was a little lacking in both visits. Would have expected higher quality.
Expensive. Decent environment. Ok food compared to price.
Good with outside sitting seats.
We had a weekday lunch at Zahr El Laymoun. The food came quick as the kitchen and waiters were not too busy at 2 pm on Thursday, with just a few other clients being served. Both, Very Great salad and appetizers. Then came food we didn’t eat much as we full from starters. I didn’t find any new things same as any Lebanese restaurant
compared to the price it was not a waw ... the open buffet was not very rich in its food. the 3 main coursee were different types of rice. no barbeque no fish no pastas and no other food. the staff were friendly though.
Horrible experience for Iftar. Not worth the price. No good food and meat.Staff hospitality is good. Otherwise we would have run from here. They need to improve a lot if they want to retain customers...
Remembering this restaurant a year before, it is very disappointing now. Food is not delicious as other competant restaurants. Service is slow, food arrive bit cold, i did not enjoy the experience at all. 2 stars for the location only.
A cozy and lovely cuisine. High food quality. An overpriced menu. Not very generous dishes.
We should’ve read the comments well but we decided to give it a shot. We were 6 people and we all thought the food was not good, not at all. Only good thing was the cheese/pomegranate flower. The meat was not good, all the mix grill was not good at all. The hummus was not good. The daily meal was horrible and the rice was hard and old. I cant say enough how bland the food was. The service and the view was the only nice thing. Extremely overpriced for the quality and portion served. We will never come here again. Horrible experience made us look bad infront of our guests.
Beautiful rich and tasty menu💗
Good breakfast, not impressed. Avg quality of oven backed eggs with meat and with hallomi cheese. I have been told that the place uses a healthy concept in cooking, no oil reduced salt, no spices.
The place has a rustic Lebanese atmosphere which is amazing. The food is delicious and the view is fair. It has two floors so there is plenty of space. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. However, it is overpriced.
Quality food but due to the competition, you can find similar food for a lower price. We had the hummus beiruty and a mixed platter both of which were very tasty. Ambience is also nice with a good view of the waterfront. Worth it if you’re looking for a good interior for family settings.
Nice restaurant with beautiful view, the food is delicious
Always the Best choice; Best Food 👌😍Amazing Service; so delicious ..Must Try..
Ordered a Turkish coffee sweet, it came without any sugar and when telling the waiter he just offered to bring a spoon, and you don’t just add sugar to Turkish coffee when it’s ready, anyway, no one bought the spoon, I had to go ask for it. Location is good but service sucks and staff are not professional
Nice place to dine outside. Spectacular view to Majaz waterfront. Very cozy. The food is delicious. For those who wish to spend a romantic dinner. Four stars for service. The waiters must be more attentive and friendly.
Overall, an excellent place to dine at. The service was good and so was the ambiance. The portions are decent. I did have a great time and wouldnt mind coming back to Zahr El Laymoun!
Good place, fast meals service: but we have found meals cooked before, although it was good tasty. Atmosphere is fantastic, especially on the 2nd floor. Point to improve: staff would be more calm and not so fussy.
Unfortunately they served us mediterranean salad with un ripped tomatoes with green color, and when we complained about the quality the waiter (Mr. Ahmedexplained to us that we are too lucky to have this kind of tomatoes, who can believe this explanation??? More over, they the meal was served after too long delay and finally they charges us unserved bottle of water
Experienced Swedish traveler having Lebanese dinnerWe had Mixed Platter with grilled chicken, beef and lamb. This is our second time in this restaurant and we were satisfied last time as well today. The food tastes good and is well balanced. The music is very nice and it sets a nice atmosphere. There are two things that brings down my rating (1the grilled meats only come with bread, and not with salad or anything else (2the price, which is a little too high.I would give 4.5 stars but that option is not available.
Very good service and fresh food. We listened to suggestions of waiter and had great experience. Quality high. Maybe price is bit high, but view, quality and service are great. Big suggestion if youre looking for nice local food in nice environment
Delicious manaeesh and lovely theme. You should try "lemon mint juice".
We are regulars here and have never been disappointed. The food is very good and the prices reasonable. The staff are friendly and courteous. The service you get here is not the usual eat and get out service. They are very welcoming. That combined with the music and view create a great atmosphere.
one of the best experiences I had, Great food, a wonderful seating atmosphere which fits to name giving it a good reputation. though I would not give it a 5 star, after a plate of mine was messed up, but believe me it was an honest mistake and I am sure you would enjoy it
