We usually get take- away, the food is superb, and if I get it delivered, its alwys hot. The service is awesome, the cashier is always super polite and friendly.

Authentic Thai Food!! Must try if youre a Singaporean looking to satisfy your Thai food crave! Tomyum, Clams, Pineapple Fried Rice are our fave. Very friendly boss even if we are a group of 10! All the best to you. 🙏

We just ordered 2 large vegetable soups for my in-laws and we only got one and it’s really spicy, they can’t even eat it. For $21 for 1 soup you would think you would get what you ordered

We were a group of 10 who stopped for lunch on our way to the buchan.we were all glad we did.small place not much of an ambiance.but the food will amaze you.delicious flavours rightfully balanced with generous portions.we all loved it.the owner was friendly and cheerful inspite of us being a noisy bunch.

On a busy Easter Friday weekend, we had the pleasure of eating at Zaab Zaab. They serve authentic Thai food catering to your taste buds. We had a spicy Red and Panang curry which was really tasty. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend it to anybody looking for fast and friendly service and a variety of Thai food options.

Food and service were excellent. Props to the chef for coming out to speak to his customers personally. The Chilli And Basil Fried Rice is a must try and is highly flavourful, as was the Green Curry. Portions were also great. Overall, a great experience. A definite must-try when in Traralgon.

Family owned and operated restaurant with excellent service however some major issues.1. No toilet available for customers. This is ridiculous and seriously affects the dining experience. Was told to walk 300m to the public toilet.2. Massaman curry was watery like soup, potato was uncooked, beef was dry and unseasoned. Would recommend to the chef to ensure they properly season the beef and cook all ingredients properly.3. Forgot my roti order, understandable since it is busy however when the roti arrived it lacked flakiness and stretchiness.Service was good. Curry puffs were also good. Overall however a very disappointing experience especially for a restaurant that is trying to deliver authentic Thai flavours to Traralgon.

I have a new favourite when it come to fried rice! It was delicious. I ordered the chicken fried rice and I was not disappointed. The quality of the food was exception, customer service was very good and the restaurant was spotless. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Also, the coconut water is fantastic. There a hint of toasted coconut which was a very welcomed surprise. 5 stars to you Zaab Zaab!

I chose this restaurant because it had good reviews.The actual venue is sort of like a shop/take away place, but, that didnt matter. The service was great - very personal, attentive and friendly.The tom yum soups were just right. I had stir fried veg and tofu with chilli and basil leaves - it was the best Thai meal Ive had in a very, very long time.Wed highly recommend Zaab Zaab, and will definitely go there again.

Delicious, flavoursome, filling. We were more than satisfied with our lamb massaman, Thai green chicken curry, spring rolls and satay roti. The restaurant itself is small so takeaway is recommended over dine in. The quality of the meals are excellent and the staff are great, very friendly.

Needs to open a branch in Melbs CBD or I will end up driving 3 hours just for their food. Green curry is a must here. Staff is super friendly and welcoming.

Authentic and absolutely amazing Thai food prepared by owner/chef. The fish dishes (steamed fish + lemon, garlic and chilli saucewas amazing and resembles the flavours of Thai food in Bangkok! Fresh fish, zingy + punchy flavours in the sauce.Another two highlights were the Pad Thai & Fried Soft-shell Crab with curry powder sauce was another great treat to tongue palate.Note: Photo of Soft-shell crab not taken because we were busy digging into the food served.Friendly staff/owner who knows to stay true to their authentic Thai food, and doesnt compromise to providing under-prepared Thai milk tea. We had ordered a Thai Milk Tea, the owner was honest to let us know that the Milk tea isnt ready for serving customers; as the milk tea preparation requires time to concentrate/set.A place that I would definitely come back to visit without hesitation, whenever around Traralgon.

My mum, Ruby’s, review:I have never done a restaurant or food review but I think Zaab Zaab Thai restaurant is worth doing one. My friends and I decided to go for a drive after restrictions ended and wanted to try this restaurant based on the reviews. I can honestly say that we were so impressed with the taste of the food and service provided by the restaurant owner/chef Ned. One would never guess that this small restaurant would bring amazing and delicious food, as well as superb personalized service. We’ve had Thai food from different restaurants but Zaab Zaab is the best so far. Clams, pork belly, soft shells and bauloy dessert are great recommendations. Can’t wait to try their other food. Though a bit far from where we live, the travel is WORTH it. We will definitely come back with family and friends!

Best Thai food I’ve tasted in Melbourne and regional Victoria. Personalized service by the owner and chef. A very pleasant surprise. Wont mind driving to Traralgon to have a meal in Zaab Zaab - definitely worth the drive. reasonable prices too!!

Heard great reviews, but when we ordered as a family, was really unpleasant. The dishes tasted old and had a strong smell and taste of fish despite not ordering fish. Gave Zaab Zaab a second try to be fair, and unpleasant again. Hoping for some changes to be made in their kitchen.

Amazing food. Just stopped to eat while we were on the road so didn’t have high expectations, but every dish we tried surprised us. Really nice staff as well. Such a pity we don’t live closer to go every week!

Had the green curry and fried rice, it was pretty good. The portions were enough for 2 people. The restaurant has BYO and the coconut juice is surprisingly good.

This has no right to be in a regional town. Its the best Thai restaurant Ive been to - and Ive been to a lot all over the world. Run by a wonderful Thai family - the service is great and the food is just fantastic.

Came through this town for work and so glad we stopped. This is by far one of thr best green curry tofu and coconut rice meals Ive had to date. Plus the tom yum soup with tofu was so flavourful. All thumbs up! Would highly recommend and come back. Thank you

I have been to Zaab Zaab only twice sadly because I live far away. If I were to leave home just to eat from this place, I would do it again and again as it is totally worth my time and money. Yes, they have VEGAN options and there is a lot more than than you would expect. The food in Zaab Zaab are so delicious and well made with mouth-watering flavours and deliciously tempting smells from the food. The vegan coocnut ice cream is my all time favourite. Their desserts are as amazing as their meals. Moreover, the staff are so kind and caring, it is clear that they love talking to us customers and know what we think of their food. Their reactions are so adorable. I recommend this place to all vegans out there. Definitely worth it!

Wow.. So glad we came. I had the massaman with coconut rice and I have to say it was the best Ive ever tasted, even when I was in Thailand. My husband had the Pad Thai and said the flavours and everything were perfect. The staff could not have been more courteous and accommodating to us and other customers. Keep up the amazing work and thanks again.. Wish you were closer to our home!

One of the best Thai food I have in Australia!Come if you like authentic Thai food!As a soup lover I always order Tom Yum or Tom Kha (coconut soup), but the ones I had usually either too sour or salty, the Tom Kha I had here was perfect😍 the curry and stir fry pork belly with vegetables were really great too~!Will definitely come back again when we bring our family and friends who visit Victoria!If you wanna go east to Gippsland to tour and help the community recovery, definitely must stop by when youre on the way!P.S. The whole family are so friendly we just feel we are their friends for the first time we visited!

Delicious meal, we ate chicken satay sticks and money bags for entree. For mains we had yellow chicken curry, pad cha scallop and one serve of coconut rice between two. The eatery is small and clean, several others were eating in at the same time, and home delivery meals were streaming out the door. The service was really efficient and friendly, meal was very reasonably priced. Net the owner was friendly, chatty and helpful. We will definitely go back for another meal, highly recommended.Went back one week later, friendly greeting and great food again.

Best Thai in Traralgon by far. The other Asian restaurants are not even close.Ive eaten all over Thailand and this place is absolutely first class in quality, texture and taste. My taste buds go crazy eating here. My only complaint is that the serving sizes are too big. But that’s a nice problem to have.My personal favourite is Pad Cha with prawns along with their Green & Penang curries which are to die for. So packed full of flavour. I just wish they were in Melbourne.I absolutely love their cooking style. Meat and seafood is always so tender and tasty, vegetables are crisp and with just the right amount of crunch. Its not easy to get this balance right, but they seem to be able to do it consistently well.Zaab Zaab is a small family run business and l can tell they care very much about their customers. They love to chat with you to find out about how you like your Thai food.Ive been eating here since they opened and whenever lm in the Gippsland l find an excuse to drop in. lve never been disappointed. I have friends that live in Traralgon that eat here every week and they tell me the food is always spot on.This is easily better than many places in Melbourne. I’ve also tried many Thai places in Gippsland and Zaab Zaab is superior in every way. Highly recommend this place to anyone that loves great quality food at affordable prices. Enjoy ! You wont be disappointed.Dropped in for another feed tonight as we were in Traralgon for a sporting event.We tried the Soft shell crab in curry sauce and Son in law eggs along with my favourite Pad Cha with prawns.I highly recommend the Soft Shell crab, very soft and tender in a beautiful curry sauce thats very mild.Son in law eggs were beautifully presented and very tasty. Maybe a little on the sweet side but l prefer savoury.Pad Cha Goong was as usual bang on point.Crispy crunchy vegetables with juicy decent sized prawns.I took a Thai friend here tonight and she was very impressed with what she ate.Highly recommend this place to anyone that loves yummy well prepared food. They are so consistent which is great for a returning customer. I just wished they open another restaurant in Melbourne.

Wonderful, wonderful food. Such a discovery! Lovely customer service, very clean and modern. Looks a bit like a takeaway and we almost didnt go in but we took a chance and had the very best Thai in years! Superb.

Walking in the door of Zaab Zaab, I wasnt sure what to expect. The place doesnt scream "good time", with no atmosphere to really speak of. It feels more like a takeaway establishment, that just happens to have a few tables and chairs available for those who would rather eat there. The owners children were quietly drawing on one of said tables, and it wasnt long before I felt like ZZ was truly a family operation.The Tom Kha was utterly divine, perfectly bitter and sweet, with thin strips of chicken coming through. The red duck curry was equally delicious, with just the perfect amount of spice and flavours that really smack you in the face.Speaking to the owner afterwards and despite the lakcing atmosphere, this is a place filled with good food, good people, and fun!
