Fantastic attention to detail of interior , its like I traveled back in time. Food is good. And the live musicians were awesome.

We came on Saturday night. It was a music night! Two old grandpas were playing old style / USSR music and singing songs. Food was great, so is the service. Felt a bit touristy especially with € on the menu.

Very very slow service! I’ve been waiting for the salmon around 45 min and it wasn’t taste at all. Having a price 250 UAH is ridiculous! I would not recommend it!

The place is very well-located, but in our case the service was bad. We sat at a table on the terrace, I asked the waiter twice to come to us, but still he seemed to be very busy with going around. There were not many people in there, so it was very strange. We decided to leave and find another place with more response.

I was so happy to discover this restaurant on my last night in Kiev! At first, I had my reservations because the decor was overly done. But as I was sitting out on the terrace outside, enjoying the sunset, I struck up a conversation with a local Kiev who was having dinner there. She told me about the story behind the name of the restaurant “Chasing two hares” a classic Ukrainian folk tale about a man falling in love with two women, one poor and one rich. (A hare representing a femaleAnd inside the restaurant, they had a small tv screen showing an old charming film about this folk tale.I found it interesting just to watch the film and decided to have dinner. To my great surprise, I finally found great Ukrainian cuisine at this restaurant! Female Chef Tatiana brought honor to her country. We had good Borscht soup for first course. I had spinach dumplings with rabbit in a walnut sauce for my main meal. It was gourmet! It was exquisite! And my companion had the best chicken Kiev ever! It was lightly fried, crispy, tender chicken and generous with real butter sauce inside. For dessert, the fried cottage cheese pancakes were just perfect! And the Cake Kyiv was excellent. Thank you to our hostess Anna for explaining all the dishes to us, and our excellent waiter, Serge for his service.This restaurant is a must to eat beautiful Ukrainian dishes at very reasonable prices. I do plan to come back to Kyiv, and I can’t wait to bring my mother, a true foodie, to eat at this restaurant. Bravo again to Chef Tatiana!

Absolutely worth it! Super cozy place, with friendly and competent service. The view from the small terrace is incredible. The pastries we tasted here were impeccable.

Absolutely outstanding place! Loved everything about it! Gorgeous inside! Whoever came up with the designs did amazing job! Food was very delicious. Stayed in Kiev for 3 weeks and visited tons of restaurants and this one is my top favorite!Our waitress was Anna. Such a sweetheart! Very polite, positive and hard working girl. She was super busy but she gave us plenty of time explaining about dishes and answered all of the questions.Wish we had such amazing restaurants in USA. I will miss it.P.S. The lady that standing outside inviting people in is so awesome and funny with good English. She made us laugh hard. She is the best human!!!! :)

I dont often write reviews but had to after an experience like this! Za Dvoma makes you not only feel like you are home in a Ukrainian fashion, they also make sure to give you the very best of their cuisine. Their menu is filled with a lot of traditional foods and drinks. The staff are attentive and kind. This restaurant is located right next to St. Andrews and takes you back to the old charming times!We have been here twice and will are looking forward to many more!

The terrace on the cliff edge over looking St Andrews Church. Opposite is the resturant and toilets, which is well decorated. Worth a visit.I tried the dumplings and Kiev cake with cherry tincture and tea to wash it down.

We were sitting on summer terrace. Its great place to stay for a drink in historicsl area. View is great.

This is one of the best restaurants in Kyiv. The food and the people were fantastic. A must visit for every trip to Kyiv. Sorry about the photos. We already started eating our dinners.

Loved the movie that played in the back. And the waiting staff was very friendly and knowledgeable!! The vodka and food tasted great. Please go if you have a chance.

This restaurant styled on Mikhail Staritskiis story "Za dvoma zaitsami" ("Catching two rabbits" drops the guests into beginning of 20th century atmosphere of Kiev, serving them with traditional dishes of ukrainian kitchen: ukrainian "borsch" with "pampushki", "pelimeni" and "varenniki", wide variety of meet and fish dishes, etc as well as ukrainian strong spirits. I have liked "gorilka" on honey with horseradish. Keeping in mind, that the restaurant is on a popular touristic route "Andreievskii spusk" street in the nearest proximity of beautiful "Andreevskaia" church and house-museum of famous writer Mikhail Bulgakov, prices are very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant , and if i have a chance will come there again..

Hmm... wonderful diner for two in a vintage locale for 50€ incl. a bottle of wine!GREAT traditional Ukrainian cuisine with a tint towards perfection (fish without any fish bones, best Ukrainian wine, quality ingredients), large portions, caring and charming blond and blue-eyed English-speaking service (girlfriends and wives please be generous and not take serious, we love only YOU!), vintage piano music and atmosphere. Super neat rest-rooms.Lots to explore on the menu.My new favorite place “on the Hill”!

The best Ukrainian traditional dishes! We loved the potato pancakes, borsch, black bread, and the tvorog dessert. Friendly staff and good prices!

Delicious food! The rabbit dumplings where absolutely delicious, only the portion didnt really fill my stomach, so I ordered the borsch as well. The borsch was much better than at the place where we had it before. I wish i could eat here every day!

It is one of the best Ukrainian restaurants in Kyiv with its history, nice staff and extremely beautiful decoration. If you are a tourist it is a must visit place in this city!The ACCESSIBILITY is a problem here though because of the stairs.

Excellent restaurant!Wonderful strawberries salad, delicious hot and perfect Kiev chicken, very tasty borscht, wonderful lamb chops. The dessert deserves improvement excellent service.

Amazing place! The service is impeccable! Very eclectic spot. Lots of creativity went into the design and theme of the venue. Guy at the front door is a nice added touch and most definitely a warm greet upon arrival. I ordered the chicken kiev and it was great! Not too oily and not too dry. I also had the Borscht which was very good as well. Not the best Ive had in Kiev but definitely not the worst. Prices are moderate, probably a little more than normal for Kiev. Amazing! You enter here and you feel like you are back in 1920. Good food, live music and affordable prices. We were thinking this was a touristic restaurant, but it is definitely not. Probably the most interesting dining experience of our Kiev stay.

Fantastic!!! Initially thought this restaurant might be a bit touristy and therefore not the most authentic food. However, this place is great, Amazing food, friendly staff and extremely talented pianist who seemed genuinely appreciative of the tip we left for him. The restaurant has 3 themed rooms ( we sat in the big room at the back)It also has gold toilets !!!

Authentic Ukrainian cooking, including an old recipe Acorn Soup! It was all delicious, beautifully presented and very friendly attentive staff, menu has an English translation. We enjoyed the unique ambiance with locals enjoying a opera karioke in a back room! I was very happy to have found it.

This place need to seriously think of rebranding or updating and brushing up their interior and menu. Looks today is as important as food itself. New time has come and whatever worked 10-15 years ago wont work as good now. Za Dvoma Zaytsyamy felt too old, sadly old. Maybe foreign travellers wont feel it.

We went for dinner and the food was amazing. My pork ribs fell away from the bone and were accompanied by a delightful dark cherry sauce. My husband had veal and it to did not diasappoint tender and delicious. The staff were attentive and helpful and the decor is authentic. Value for money and well worth a visit.

It’s a great restaurant with very interesting design (it’s worth visiting at least once just to see the interior, it’s very rich in details and even looks a bit “kitchy”). This restaurant is located in a very touristic area (price level is quite ok, thoughand offers Ukrainian cuisine. The food is tasty, service is rather good, but can be quite slow. Also, they have live piano music in the evening.

Good Ukrainian food restaurant. Nice place, friendly staff. Menu made with a sense of humor, but it could be understood only by people who is familiar with the movie Za dvoma zaitsyamy. More expensive than you can expect in Kiev, but it worth that.
