Nice place to shop whatever you want!
A local market area with lots of small shops for your daily needs. Its very modern but a bit dirty, so youll be disappointed if youre looking for a heritage area.
Small and good market for saffron specially from Ard saffron super quality they have
Very good place
A great place to get traditional food, clothes and sweetsVarious shops.. great varietyBit crowded for the carsPerfect for a walkPearling path is nearby so you can take a walk through on of Bahrains heritage sites
U can find ur watch repair and most of electronics items in good price
Bustling maze of alleys and shops and people. With a little luck one might find something special and interesting. This "soug" can in no way be compared to the old souq in Dubai or Souq Waqiff in Doha. This is more like a lot of old narrow streets with shops.
Traditional food, clothes and jewelry... Very nice
Muhqrraq souq is one of the oldest and rich market of Bahrain. You can find myriad of shops here. From toys shops to showaiter (Bahraini sweetsoutlets, roastaries, dates shop, abaya shops to perfume shops, upholstery, tailoring, eatries, mobile shops, restaurants and what not; you name it and they have it.Only problem out there is parking space. If you are lucky on the day, you would get one, else people park it on the side of the road and leave their number on the vehicle.A place worth a thousand visit than any malls.
Muharraq a beautiful city of kindom of bahrain. Here the country largest and most beatiful and busiest airport is situated. Apart from the national citizens other nationalities also abide here in a large quantity. Overall a peaceful and beautiful city.
One of the oldest local markets of Bahrain, blending both traditional culture and modernism. Best known for the old style coffee shops, Abaya shops and the Arab sweets. The sweets are made fresh everyday and visitors buy them a lot. Best way to explore it is on foot. The parking lots are mostly over filled.
Excellent local market. If you want the best Halwa, just make an order one day in advance.
The traditional old markets in Bahrain stands out as one of the island kingdom’s most authentic locations and Muharaq souq is one of it, despite its relatively small total area of the market place it provides a glimpse to the past rich culture and history . Kingdom of Bahrain has been renowned not only as an international trade and business hub, but also as a land that is rich with culture and history. Such a blend has been most evidently reflected in its old marketplaces like Muhaq souq . This old marketplace has been known by the name Souq literally ‘the standing market’ in Arabic due to the fact that the merchants used to stand on the two side of the roads showcase their goods and sell them to the passers by. In the old ages, goods that were sold at Souq includes spices, fish, clothes, and woods. Good to roam around in the souq
In old open markets. This is the good place If you are looking for old and traditional stuff,
A good place to shop
Not quite as big as I thought but it was really nice.
nice old traditional place to visit with alot of traditional sweets but because its being renovated and upgraded, you wont be able to get full view of it but it will be an old wonder to watch out for in the near future.
I like it so much, i can find cheep product with good quality, parking is very hard , no enough parking, i can see old Bahrini dresses and related to the country culture, i think after opening the new extension it will be more arranged.
The second best traditional local market in Bahrain After Manam Souq, it contains all type of shops and you can find all what you need in there, it is an old set up market with small shops and one line road, as it is very difficult to find a parking spot there, the market is very famous for Bahrainis Sweet Halwa, and some traditional coffee shops, it worth to viait it once in a while.
Very good traditional market !
Nothing more to describe about this place, the name itself is the history in itself , from the sweet shops to the garashi (grocerystores...one can find here things needed from a needle to everything that needed for daily household ....
I like shopping here whenever I visit Bahrain .. they got nice choices of abayas and sweets .. as well as traditional stuff .. the only sturggle about this souq is the parkings, very limited parkings yet possible to manage if visited the souq during peak hours.
Reasonable prices with a variety of products.Starting from traditional sweets, perfumes, clothing, Electronics. And you will find some antiques musical instruments. And within this market you will find the"pearls road" which was, and still one of the oldest trading roads in Bahrain.
Nice place but difficult to find car parking.
Best for Bahrain Traditional sweets and has many other varieties in the lane as it is the main Muharraq market.
Its the oldest Souq in Moharraq were you will be able to buy traditional sweets like Bahraini halwa
Mostly crowded but you can find everything local in this area, after all, this is a shopping district in Bahrains greatest city
