It was okay the few times Ive been in. Its quaint.

My wife and I love this place, we go every chance we get and we have never been disappointed! From the nice waitress to the amazing food 👍👍

Great staff. Came in about an hour before closing and they were very nice. Good sushi and clean. Good prices too for the size of rolls.

Ordered takeout and the food was absolutely delicious! Got the Sashimi deluxe and masago and inari sushi. It came with soup and a small salad. Not nearly as expensive as some of its kind and tasted very fresh. 🍣

Very good Sushi, tried a variety and everything was delicious, even the miso soup and ginger salad, the hot green tea was also very good, definitely recommend.

The waiter had no knowledge on what we were asking about the food because we did not know anything about sushi. She just kept telling it coming to Box and we had no clue what that meant So it really wasnt a good experience

It was clean and the service was good. I ordered hibachi chicken and the meat was weird and the rice was burnt.

Great pricing on the food, and the atmosphere is intimate and quaint. if going during dinnertime please be patient with staff and expect to wait , I went with a 4 top on Sunday evening and they had only one server. She was playing IRL Dinner dash and working really hard to be attentive to guest, run orders, and take orders. I wish Management was hands on helping her clear tables and run food...or at the very least helping serve tables, but no one else was to be found... :/ excellent handrolls nonetheless. Give that server a raise and this place would be 5 stars.

However if you see the pics I posted they are a good size and I was shocked. I couldnt even finish the amout I ordered.But what really had me excited was the pink sushi roll! 1st time Ive seen that

Horrible service! They left items out of my order & although I left voicemails, written messages from staff to management, management refused to talk to me & stuff nonchalantly said “there’s nothing we can do about that & i’m going to have to let you go”, then hung up on me.Please save your money & go to Jiro Sushi just right down the street on nw 23rd & classen. They’re professional & care about their customers.

Great sushi, small n quite place!

We have always wanted to try this place and finally made it to the restaurant. We started off with the seaweed salad which was a generous portion and shumai dumplings which we had fried and loved the dipping sauce. They had a great selection of wines, beer, and sake. The plum wine was a delicious complement to our meal. We wanted to try sushi and hibachi so we picked a few rolls and the beef entree to share. The rolls were delicious and nicely made. We loved the crunch caliente and dancing eel rolls. The beef hibachi was cooked well and had a nice sauce on it. The entree came with miso soup, salad, and a bowl of rice! We did not have room for dessert but want to try the homemade Japanese cheesecake the next time we visit Make sure to check out Samurai the next time you are wanting sushi or hibachi!

Small servings, and very rubbery "steak" which is in quotes because Im not even sure that it was from a cow, let alone a steak cut. The rice was good though, as was my wifes Sushi! Had to get a pizza on the way home though......

Friendly staff! However when we went tonight there was only one cook & we waited almost an hr on our food. None the less the food was very tasty. Just be prepared for a wait if you go any time soon! Our waitress tried hard to make us happy during this time she took good care of us during the wait!

We get sushi from here once every two weeks it has some amazing prices to pair with the incredible food!

I am new to OKC and just discovered this little gem close to my work. I LOVED it! The atmosphere is beautifully done and very relaxing. There is definitely an attention to detail element that I value. The sushi was very very good! As I arrived I saw the chef preparing the sushi and you could see how much care he took into perfecting each roll. This will now be one of my favorite lunch spots and hopefully I will get a chance to experience dinner too!

Weve been coming to Samurai for years now. The owners are incredibly kind people, and the food is delicious. Whenever we crave sushi, we always come here! Theyve taken COVID safety seriously throughout the pandemic which we really appreciate. highly recommend

For Japanese food in Oklahoma, the quality of the food was fantastic! The sashimi was fatty, thick, and it tasted great. We were surprised it lived up to our expectations. We ordered some food that I don’t remember the names of, but they were equally as delicious!

This was the best sushi restaurant I have ever been too! I highly recommend this place to people who like a wide variety of sushi rolls and appetizers to choose from!

Even through the whole pandemic, Samurai was here. We have been fans for 5+ years. Back to before they expanded. Never had a bad experience here. Always 5 stars and highly recommended!

The sushi was pretty good, the teriyaki chicken was subpar, the fried rice was a bit bland. The overall experience was off to a pretty irritating start as you have to order online on your phone even if you are sitting at a table in the restaurant, so it took 30 minutes just to decide what to order because you have to scroll through the entire menu since it’s not a PDF or physical menu, it’s more like the postmates/door dash ordering system and you enter your own order. You also pay via the online system which requires creating an account and saving your card info. Also no baby changing table in the bathroom. I loved this place when I lived around the corner a couple years ago, so hopefully they are just in a COVID transitional period that made this process so frustrating and it gets better again once things go back to normal.

The food tasted fine, but for the price you pay, the rolls should be standard size. The rolls I received were at least a third of the size of rolls I get from any other sushi place in town. Sorely disappointed in the quality of care.

This is the best place to get sushi hands down!💪💚 won my heart over with the display not to mention the taste! The Hulk roll an a california roll beautifully prepared. Could feel the care that was put into this amazing art piece of food. 💚💚💚😁☺

First and foremost, the food is always spectacular. Its served in a timely manner. Its priced in a very college student friendly-manner. I dont have any complaints.During the time of COVID-19 Samurai is always on top of their game. Ive never felt safer at a restaurant during this pandemic. There are menus outside to look at, once inside, you order across the room from the employees. They all wear masks and gloves. This feels the safest it could possibly be.I will be returning. I loved my experience there.

First time ever ordering here. I order a combination fried rice with beef and chicken. I’m expecting a decent portion size for the price of $10.81. What I end up getting is 99% rice and vegetables and approximately 1% beef and chicken. It’s like they didn’t even try to give me chicken and beef. But I will hand it to them the rice was good.

Samurai Sushi is a pleasant surprise. I had the pleasure of having a late evening dinner there just before the COVID emergency closed most businesses for a while Samurai Sushi is not a rowdy bar. The restaurant is stylishly simple, clean, intimate and very relaxing. The menu items are well presented and the food is delicious. It is a sophisticated, moderately priced place for comfortable dining. I highly recommend it. Im eager for the day the dining room will open again for dining in. Meanwhile I intend to continue to order through their fine take out service.

This is a pretty hard review to make. On one hand, this is some of the best food Ive had in a long time. The prices are reasonable, and the presentation of the food is top notch.That said, the atmosphere is immensely awkward and the service was pretty awkward too. It felt like you had to go out of your way to get service for even the simplest of things, like needing a refill. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than they were in actually being inviting. And it wasnt as though the place was busy either, as when we went, there was only two other tables in the whole place.The restaurant was clean, and it seemed to be very inviting on first glance. It is located in a bit of an odd area, with flashing neon green LEDs next door. The outside makes the entire area look a tad seedy, but it was worth it as a one off. I dont feel like I will be back, which is a pity because the food was so amazing. The negatives seem to just outweigh the positives on this one.If you want a private place to go, this will be stellar, as its rarely busy and theres not much noise in the place. If you want a warm and friendly atmosphere when you go out for ramen, probably try somewhere else, like Tamashii.

Quaint and quiet place to relax and eat sushi. There Udon soup was great, large noodles with a spicy broth. Sushi is fresh, not a fan of their eel sauce (has a BBQ taste). You can set at the bar to watch the artistry that goes into making sushi. I will come here again!

The jewel of Oklahoma city sushi, Fresh ingredients and delicious taste. I come here every week with my friends to get together and try different foods. Each time I get a different harvest and surprise. Highly recommend

Went for California Rolls and soup and they took an hour to serve the rolls even though there was only one person beside us...ruined the experience. They were more interested in eating their own food. Eventually took it to go. Food was good though.

This is my new favorite place! Not only is Samurai exceptionally clean, the service is perfect, and the food is AMAZING! I’m obsessed with the age tofu and their miso soup. And they have a wide selection of vegan options which is always a plus! It’s a quiet relaxed and nice atmosphere, perfect for an afternoon lunch or a date night!

Absolute perfection. The atmosphere is quiet, the waitstaff is attentive, and the food is genuine. Their prices were nice as well! $25 for two full-sized meals is a deal I will take any day.Plus, big perk: they were open on Independence Day when NOTHING else was.

I love visiting here for lunch! The sushi is fresh and really tasty. The restaurant is modern and clean! The staff has also been very friendly every single time. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots!

Great sushi. I ordered the sushi deluxe platter, and steamed gyoza. It comes with complimentary miso soup. Only issues that I ran into were the waitress who kept bringing me the wrong wine (I ordered riesling, and she kept bringing me merlot), but at least the merlot was good; and it seemed to take extra long for my food to be prepared. My friend ordered three sushi rolls, and was done eating by the time my sushi finally came out.

I went here for lunch with a couple friends and was surprised to find only 2 tables filled. The food was so cheap and the quality reflected the price well. I got the shrimp tempura bento box and was satisfied with my choice. My friend got the teriyaki chicken but it looked like they just dumped teriyaki sauce on top after cooking the chicken. My other friend got sushi which was really good for the price! I would definitely come back to eat the sushi here.Update: Went back to eat sushi and would highly recommend it as a place for good, cheap sushi. I got the California and Philadelphia rolls and, though they were simple, the rice wasnt cheap, low-grade sushi rice and the ingredients were pretty fresh.

Firstly I am a very understanding person when it comes to the food industry since I have worked as a server for years. I came into Samurai due to high ratings and low prices. There were 4 tables seated (out of about 14), the hostess was very polite and the place was beautiful. The reason for my 1 star rating was due to the unorganization of this place. With only 5 tables sat they were running around and apologizing for how busy it was. I saw the frustration in most of the customers (waiting on food, needing refills or needing to pay). My food took 38 min to come out, they forgot about our appetizer and worst of all is that the sushi rolls are as small as about a quarter in circumference and 1/2-3/4 of an inch thickness. We ordered 4 rolls due to how hungry my girlfriend and I were and wanted to order more but didnt want to wait another 30 min. Yes the rolls are $5-$12 but I think the average person would need about 5 rolls to be satisfied. Again staff was very friendly and place was very nice but the food portions and wait time is ridiculous. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I personally will not be giving it another chance.

The sushi is fantastic in its presentation and quality...especially for the money. They are family owned and operated, which is really nice for a neighborhood sushi bar. Their kids are often at the shop, and the mother, Bing, leads it all. She is fantastic at what she does and she loves doing it. After three years of going here I can honestly say it has only improved. Their newly renovated space is also great. A lot more seating and a larger menu. Highly recommended!

Cant understand the reviews here. I purchased tonight around 7:30pm. The sushi quality was way below sushi restaurant quality. Not a single other customer was there and the sushi chef was at the bar on his phone. I ordered pickup. He didnt even acknowledge my presence. Id maybe rate it higher if this was a grocery store but at the price Uptown Grocery is better. I will not be back and would never recommend.

Super friendly family! My roommate go in so much that they know us and are always excited to see us. Its great. Food is fairly priced and if you want take out and call ahead theres barely a wait. Even when we order in theyre so friendly and sweet!

Prices are beyond fair, sushi is good, the only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because the service. Yeah, I went kinda late(8:45 on a Friday at which they close at 10:30), but service kinda lacked. Ill definitely be back sometime tho. I just hope service is better during the day. If so, Ill be glad to eat my words and rate them 5 stars.
