I made the over 3 hour trip out to Boyne Highlands on Saturday October 1st to go mountain biking. On Friday night around 10:30 PM I checked the Boyne Highlands facebook page to make sure there were no issues before buying my ticket on the Boyne Highlands website.I woke up Saturday morning and checked the website and facebook page to make sure everything was still good to go, then I loaded my bike and gear and jumped in my car and drove over 3 hours to the mountain. When I got there around 9:45 AM I approached the kiosk to get my lift pass and the gentleman at the window asked if I was there for the bike park, I said yes and he said, "Unfortunately the lift is closed for the weekend." I was shocked since I had checked the website and the facebook page to make sure everything was good before I left. The gentleman didnt know why the lift was closed and informed me that he was just told when he arrived that it was closed. He left the window for a few minutes and when he returned he said that the lift was closed for safety reasons and that they had made the decision the night before and had tried to contact customers to let them know. He also gave me Mari Kissingers card and said she could not come out to discuss the issue. I was very disappointed that AThe lift was down and I wouldnt be able to enjoy the bike park, and BThe park had made the decision the previous day and had not made a post on their website or on facebook or somehow communicated the issue to the customers. After this I went on a mountain biking facebook group I am in to post a warning so no one else wasted time driving to Boyne Highlands for biking that weekend. After making my post I scrolled down a bit and found a post from 6:43 PM the previous day saying that the lift had broken down and that the bike park was now closed for the weekend:This really upset me because I didnt even buy my ticket until 10:30 PM that night, almost 4 hours after someone else had been told by someone at Boyne Highlands that the park was going to be closed for the weekend.I wasted about 6 and a half hours, as well as a bunch of money in gas driving to Boyne Highlands and back home that day and it all could have been avoided if someone there could have just made a post on the website and/or facebook, someone could have turned off lift ticket ordering for the weekend, or someone could have emailed the people who bought tickets. On October 3rd I emailed Mari Kissinger about this experience and to this day I have still not received a reply. This was a very frustrating experience that could have easily been avoided.
I want to give a huge shout out to Morgan Bolnick of Boyne Who professionally, patiently, and efficiently handled some tricky situation with the purchase of my season pass! I have always appreciated skiing and golfing on Buen properties and I’m so pleased to have these so close to home. This is an awesome place who clearly employ excellent people!
This place is tucked back in the woods, but that is a good thing. Its a quick trip to Petoskey and Harbor Springs The check-in service was smooth and friendly. Shay was awesome and professional as I was checking in late. The room (Main Lodgewas superb since it was recently remodeled and updated with an awesome bathroom, nice size T.V., and nice furniture. It was perfect for my solo trip and have no complaints. Very clean and a great place to relax and catch your breath. I would bring my family if the opportunity arose.
I had tickets that I bought for a specific date to the fall scenic view chairlift and I drove OUT OF MY WAY to stop here. The chairlift was broken as of LAST WEEK and they didnt think to email the customers that already paid???? They were obviously willing to give a refund after I went out of my way to get it bc the whole ski adventure center was closed. the fact that I drove out of my way to do this adventure and was disappointed was not acceptable. Its seems like a nice resort but if your going to sell tickets before hand make sure to communicate with the ticket holders if things are broken. It seems like the only right thing to do seeing as though this resort is pretty far out and an extra drive must be made to come here. Dont get too excited to see the fall colors, not here atleast.
If you want to get rid of your stress and nerves this is a perfect place because everything here perfect staff rooms breakfast and swimming pool and hot tub very nice place and suitable for people looking for silent place to do biking and golf and more and more.I will return to this place in the future because I like it and like first class renovated rooms
The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. The breakfast had fresh fruit, an omelet station and once again the served breakfast with a smile.
Excellent experience. Staff was above-and-beyond professional and friendly. Stayed in the recently renovated main lodge and it was 5 star first class. Only low spot was the lack of air conditioning in the dining room (renovations have not gotten that far yet).
Excellent service, check-in with a smile, beautiful property, and lovely rooms. Everything about this property is wonderful. We will definitely return for winter activities!
The restaurant was a joke. Worst dining experience ever. Dont even want to get into it.
Golf courses were very nice,,,,Customer service poor. They had no staff to run the resturants. Half way shops close at noon. No real food in them,. I bought a cheese sandwich and a beer...$16Air conditioning in club house broke. Cant get a hotdog, grille was broken, The main hotel looks like Russia bomb it....But we paid $8000 to rent a house and we got this. Plus they lectured us daily not to pee on the golf course or we would get in trouble...really????
Picture perfect resort ! Went here for the bike park best customer service around !
The good, the bad, and ugly. The Good - large rooms. low level staff was very friendlyThe Bad - exterior of some builds needed a lot of maintenance and repairs including the leaky roof! Maybe the leaky roof doesnt matter in the winter when its all ice...The Ugly - managers (check-in, restaurants, maintenance were not friendly. Also, we rented 10 rooms for a gathering and they stated that we all could not use the pool. This was a nice place 20 and 10 years ago. HOwever, now it seems like management will force their last customers away. Finally, Id post pictures of all the damage on the buildings, but I dont want to embarrass them.Im sure that theyll respond with "well do better next time", but shouldnt they do better while Im there the first time, right
This review is specific to the bike park. The trails are fun and some are quite technical by lower Michigan standards. Some nice wood features. Some of the trails could really use more maintenance or reroutes to deal with the sand. Biggest problem is the lift situation. They run a triple at what seems like half speed and can only load every 3rd chair with people. The other 2 are for bike hooks. Lines arent really a problem but the lift speed is just ridiculous. Its a LONG time on the lift for how short the trails are. It feels as long as lifts at Trestle in Colorado for 1/4 or less of the riding Bike trays for faster loading and unloading combined with running the lift at a decent speed would make it way more fun.Update - they switched to the high speed quad and bike trays, which greatly improved the experience. But theyve also more than doubled the season pass price in the last few seasons and they got rid of pre season discount pricing so they only get one more star from me.
2.5 stars for resort (and -1 for feebut 5 Stars for Suite rebuilt/renovated in 2021.Boyne Highlands Resort main lodge building offers hotel rooms and suites, we stayed in full suite # 305 facing (well, when looking over and beyond construction equipment storage area just belowa great view of and beyond the 18th hole. From all points of building entry towards this partially renovated wings newly finished rooms, hallways are torn up for construction that fortunately halts for weekends. Still, its a shambles, in fact somewhat laughable -- or it would be, but for the 10% "resort fee" adding insult to injury.Honestly, the most offensive part of my stay is getting charged this penalty fee during a time when the resort is both torn up and remains at least 30+ years out-of-date. First off, wi-fi should be free at any luxury priced stay anywhere in the developed world, so no value there. The resort fees purported other amenities could not be more irrelevant to a middle-aged couple experiencing the local towns via bicycles and enjoying a romantic luxury suite stay, as if were really interested in smores at 6 and the Jumanji showing at 9.EXCEPT for the suite/renovated rooms themselves, then, the main lodge hotel building proper is a dated anachronism greatly limited by its public spaces and on site restaurants. Expect little modernity or luxury beyond the confines of your 2021 hotel room/suite environment. Laugh at the 40+ year old unconvincing execution of faux Swiss chalet atmosphere that age only makes worse. Back when, someone incorporated key design elements of pressed concrete stair steps and green tinted concrete exterior sidewalks. Youll step back to a time best forgotten when entering the dark and tired Slopeside restaurant (theres neither room service nor dinner in the main dining hall this season, at least, so youll walk down and carry dinner upstairs as desired). The pool entry is flanked on one side by associated tiny changing rooms last updated over 30 years ago and on the other by public laundry machines. But, why bother with the pool unless you enjoy water dirtied by kiddies wearing trainers since their section is merely gated off from the overall too-small-for-this-crowd pool, not its own separate contained water.CAPacity appears limited to those hotel rooms/suites completed during 2021 as construction continues, but other nearby buildings offer "condo rentals" -- and further serve to mar the external environment as those occupants line their balconies with scores of wet, multicolored beach towels and swimsuits, just like at Motel 6, cheapening the entire experience with their tackiness (and providing evidence of overcrowding those rooms). Despite over emphasis on rules during the check in process, this resort fails to enforce its stated policies.THE SUITE, as the photos show, was lovely. See captions for more detail. Soothing colors and finishes of quality, truly a luxury suite planned and executed with attention to detail and not to price. Overdue fails to describe this upgrade, as photos of other official resort lodging options reveal spaces untouched for decades. Boyne Highlands Resort finally addresses its hotel rooms/suites with a full on, clean slate, gut to studs, renovate investment, its entirely fresh inside the sleeping space.Outside the suite/room, though, remains another story -- at least pending many tens of millions more dollars and some years invested to bring the place overall into this 21st century, even if this takes place about 20 years too late. For my prior Highlands stay in June I rented a charming private vacation home on Heather Dr., where the new owners worked around dated architecture and hard features by entirely updating the look using all new furnishings and thoughtful design elements that played up the retro in a fresh manner. Boyne itself failed to do this over time.(Prior trip was for mountain trail biking & Boyne delivers, despite its way-too-limited chair lift hours. Kudos to Latitude 45 Bikes Petoskey.)ADDED: never got any mgmt response.
I have been vacationing at Boyne Highlands since I was little, and this was our 6th year with my family. We love the mountain, the staff, and the family atmosphere. We love Slopeside (although the menu this year did not include the typical lunch sandwiches, wings, and apps as in the past Boyne holds a siecial place in my family’s heart and that is why I’m leaving this review:Unfortunately, with Covid, some changes have been made more permanent. They have told me they are not returning to full day ski school. This is detrimental to young families. We travel with 2 large families. How can we ski with our 9 & 14 year old while trying to teach our 4 year old? Ski school used to start at age 3. Now there are no lessons until age 5! And no daycare. My other two children learn to ski in ski school when they were three. They loved it! They skied, then ate lunch, watched a movie and skied again. That allowed us to ski with our older kids or for my husband and I to ski together with our friends. What if I were new to the sport and couldn’t teach my kids to ski? What then? Private lessons only? Unfortunately, by deciding not to have ski school, they are going to lose a large population of customers who come for their family atmosphere. There are other resorts who are offering ski school and that’s where families will go. My brother and sister-in-law have two kids that will be three and five next year. They have been waiting to come to Boyne to ski. They cannot consider Boyne now because their youngest will not be eligible for ski school or lessons. There is also no daycare. So, young families are not able to go skiing at Boyne. I hope they reconsider their plan.
The place is old and dated, they are not re-investing and charging way too much for everything! All of the buildings are old and dated (if it werent for the fire, they wouldnt be upgrading anything). The chairlifts are probably 40 years old and terribly slow. Meanwhile, they decided to be fancy and change the menu at The Slopeside with $20+ Wagyu Burgers, Wild Game and Truffle Fries. (People just want a good selection of sandwiches, burgers and appetizers). The atmosphere is old and stale, the magic is gone. I have been coming every year since I can remember, but this was my last trip to "The Highlands".
The mountain is awesome for a lower Michigan resort. The lodging is over priced but very pleasant. The one star review is because of the customer service. I was just on hold for a whole hour trying to talk to skier services. There’s no way that there are that many people calling at the same time, customer service must be on lunch break. That’s fine, just please don’t make me waste my time for a phone call you’re not gonna answer. Turn the phones off or something. Every time I’ve had to call customer service, it’s like pulling teeth trying to get someone on the phone. Next trip will be to nubs nob for sure, hopefully they care about their customers
First time for my wife and kids (8,10,11). Great lessons, great Main Lodge rooms. Happy to come back. Kids are begging for it.
For decades now we have been visiting highlands. Being from Canada Covid made it a-little difficult but it feels Wonderfull being back. The renovated rooms are well suited to the experience. Well done!!! Highlands is simply “the best” for a family ski vacation.
We had a great time our full day (8 hrsof skiing and snowboarding! Paid lots of money to have a great time with friends and family. We visited with a group of 9 people. Lunch was a bit difficult as there seemed to be only one bar/restaurant near the mountain that we could dine in. Not many options. Even though we told them we were more than willing to separate, our wait time was nearly an hour. Food was average… nothing special. My main concern came when the week after renting rental skis, boots and poles, both of my ankles broke out in a horrible rash. Itchy, swollen, inflamed areas on each ankle in the same location, all around each leg, leading me to believe that they do not clean or sanitize their equipment very well. Have skied many times in my life with rentals and have never had this issue. Hope that they are able to sanitize more in the future, especially surrounding covid concerns.
Have been coming here since as along as I can remember every year it gets worse and worse. This year will be my final year coming the food is awful the atmosphere is by far the worst in Michgan. Honestly amazes me they’re still in business with nubs right next door. I would highly recommend trying any ski resort in Michgan over this place.
I signed my wife up for lessons, and she had an amazing instructor (John). My wife had 0 experience skiing prior to this lesson, and John had her confident enough to navigate the hills with in a 2-hour time frame! Great hills… great entertainment at the bar. Anxious to return now that we can all ski (thanks to John)
Took my daughter for a night ski session. At the ticket window the price I was charged did not match with the online price for that nights session. Not sure and didnt get an explanation when I questioned the total.Very disappointed. But skiing was good.
We came up as a family for the weekend. The kids enjoyed ziplining and the Staff were great with them. We also did horseback trail rides, the staff again were terrific.Front desk staff were pleasantThe indoor outdoor pool was a huge hit amongst the kids. We did not do any skiing, however enjoyed snow tubing and the complimentary sleddingOverall the staff were helpful.Frequent observation of staff cleaning high touch surface areas which I appreciate during the pandemic. If we needed fresh linens delivery was prompt. We stayed in the Heather Highlands Inn, and had an efficiency which worked out wonderfully. The downfalls are that the rooms are very dated and resort charges are fairly high, compared to other resorts I feel the charges are way higher than they should reasonably be. For 450 dollars plus a night I would expect to be able to have more luxuries of a resort.I needed feminine products and the Cafe was out of them, only to find out they are complimentary in the bathrooms, this is something the front desk should inform thier guests about. We did not dine at the resort, heard alot of complaints that the food was overpriced and small portions. We did purchase a few adult beverages and they were quite small for the costOverall it remains questionable if I will return.I understand the place is undergoing some major renovations in the next few years, maybe the excessive costs are to cover that in advance.
Midweek ski date was perfect in every way! Helpful and friendly staff, zero lines, comfortable accommodations.Food was pricey (expectedbut delicious and served in a timely manner. We can’t wait to return!!
I cannot get over how kind every single staff member was there. All of them were helpful and so kind, it really made for a good experience! This place is a blast!
Took my family on the Enchanted Trail Walk on Christmas Eve, we did enjoy getting out of house and walking the trail, but unfortunately, many of the lights along the trail were out, it just made it challenging to see at times. Also, one suggestion The Highlands should consider.... make the bar a FULL cash bar, we would have stuck around and had a few more cocktails if the selection was wide open to pick and choose from beer, wine and mixed drinks. Thank you, we look forward to trying next year.
Great place to ski! We took private ski lesson for our family. Our coach was Tony ( who runs the Ski school). Best coach. He was very helpful. When I had problems with my ski boots, he helped me get into it. We were first time skiers. But we had bought lift tickets online for 2 days. We didn’t use it because those are for experienced skiers. When we asked for a refund, they were kind enough to refund our 2 days lift tickets money. Lunch options were good on site.
Karl in Ski Repair did a phenomenal job adjusting our snowboard, and Mike at the front desk was kind and immediately took care of us. Thank you so much for your prompt and kind service 5 Stars 10/10
Super fun. People working there are really nice. We missed the zip line but the chairlift ride was amazing. We also did horseback trail ride. Also amazing. Shoutout to Sydney and Andrea for comforting first timers on horses!
My band (Collision Sixperformed at a wedding in a tent at the resort in Sep 2021. It absolutely POURED that day, so the weather was against us, but the team at Boyne Highlands went out of their way to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. They ran a beautiful ceremony, helped people get to the tent safely, and hustled to deliver food to guest tables despite getting soaked in the process. Everyone worked together incredibly well as part of the vendor team. Caitlyn was our point person and was a super hero! And, when we left an extension cord behind, Ellen offered to ship it to us (since we were 4 hours away). What an amazing environment! I hope we have a chance to work there again. Beautiful place, but more importantly, great people!
Great bike park! The last Saturday of the season was fairly busy with aFall festival and the lift lines were only a few minutes of waiting. The food at the restaurant was really good and fresh, but a smidge over priced (expect that at any resort).Staff was friendly and the place was clean. The trails were great and most features have a chicken line for us older crowd. This spot will be a yearly spot for us. Cant wait to see what they do next.
Booked online, arrived to find we were not in the remodeled main lodge like we booked but instead were in a separate building that looked like it hadn’t been updated since 1983. The room was dirty, the building was dirty, and smelled horribly musty. Decided within 10 minutes we were not staying. Went back to the main desk and were told it wasn’t their fault we were mislead because we could have called. Was only given a 50% refund and told I could book with the front desk and receive a nicer room.Highly disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Resturant has good food. Golf course and ski slopes are good. But when we paid for everything in our hotel they charged us ALL WRONG. We split the check 2 ways. 1 part for around 100$ and one for around 50$.. guess what this resort did. THEY CHARGED US AROUND 350$-450$ ??? My god how do you even swipe the card so many times without realizing how many times you charged us.. it charged us 124 3 times… Never eating at your boyne highlands restaurant again.. We got lucky they charged us back.. Lucky
Today we checked out the bike park and rented bikes. It was a fantastic time! Simon in the bike rental area was super helpful getting the bike dialed in after a couple of runs it was perfect! I will be back and will bring as many people as I can! The rental bikes are great but with covid they have a limited selection.
Have to pole uphill everywhere, a non skier laid this place out. TERRIBLE! Took forever to try to get a ticket on line, do I need a “UN-HAPPINESS” card or not?? 2 people on the phone there did not know either. Bought it anyway. Pick up said Day ski Lodge, tent there did not have our cards, then waited in another line to have a scramble to find us, good thing I had a printed receipt. Slopes were so so, GO ACROSS THE STREET TO NUBS is the bottom line. People had them but could not find a trail map n App was in readable. Cafeteria staff was EXCELLENT as well as Lift Ops, despite COVID they we great. I ski / board a lot and this place is awful.
MLK weekend ski trip with family. Online happy pass system was difficult to use and navigate. Arrived and passes were not ready and had to go to office and get. Rental reservations couldn’t be found using confirmation code? And obvious confusion by some of the staff in the rental area how the process worked. Overall facility signage is non existent , don’t know where to go (really the ski drop and parking lot management a mess, seating mountainside spotty to sparse . How about allot of tables not 6 how do you space. Customers had to stand to eat. The bar staff was excellent , attentive and helpful , ladies at drink counter in cafeteria also . Short order folks barking , pushy felt like I was in chow hall at Marine Corps . Happiness cards system on the hill obviously lowest bidder tech! Go to crystal mountain There tech works , no scanning , multiple times( don’t ever tell the customer to go in and get anotherone printed fix your tech! I didn’t travel 4 hours to spend time getting your pass printed correctly . We came to ski. We were happy with food and drink availability and price. Covid signage in the lift lines is dangerous when loading ( quadsand yellow slow fence is a choke point .
This is my first ever review. The implementation of the happiness pass was confusing and I called and was told I could place midweek tickets for the 12/28 to 1/2, but I missed the fine print where that wasnt allowed. I choose my start date of the 12/28 which is on my order confirmation. I get to the resort and print my tickets just fine. I go on the mountain and after 4 runs, each of which I am scanned just fine, and then i am flagged and told I bought the wrong ticket. I then go to customer service and am berated saying it is my fault. I am told in a very disrespectful way how they take no responsibility and I have to pay double for my tickets. I dont care about the money, but the staff at skiing services was very disrespectful and completely not understanding to how confusing the process was. Do not recommend, very disappointed in the entire experience.
I recently took my family for my second time to Boyne Highlands Resort. The staff was great and the location and grounds were breathtaking. It was fall so the colors were very bright. My dad is 91 and mom is 87. Dad had a great time, mom has dementia but seemed to enjoy herself. On the last day of our stay however, my mom was in one of her sleeping moods where you never know when she is going to wake up. It was getting close to our 11:00 check out time and I was desperate. I explained my situation at the front desk and asked for an additional hour. The kind young man at the desk suggested us checking out at 1 instead and went on to say, "if you need more time, just let us know." Mom eventually woke up at around 1. We checked out and was on our way home. I was so grateful for the young mans kindness and understanding. Im looking forward to heading back up there again soon.
The staff at Boyne Highlands Resort was so welcoming and helpful! I had a special request and asked last minute for it, knowing it may not happen. They went above and beyond to make sure my special accommodation was handled so I didnt have to worry. The grounds were immaculate and kept up so well. The insides of the buildings were very clean and well maintained. The events that they have for the guests are enough to make you not want to leave the grounds for your entire visit!! We can not wait to come back again!!
This is great place to check out during the fall and off season. We stayed here for 2 nights and definitely enjoyed the grounds and hospitality of the staff. We took advantage of the ski lifts up to see the colors while also getting a nice view of Traverse Bay. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy a few days away.
Was told on the phone that all restaurants are open. Get here and find out only 1 restaurant is open. I asked the reservations lady about ziplining on the phone and she said it is all running, she said the twin zip was as well. We get there and the twin zip was closed. So we said that we would do the tour and the nice people on the go kart said to go sign up at adventure center. We get over there and they said it was booked. We did get to have a nice fire Saturday night. We enjoyed the pool. The hot tub was Luke warm though. We finally got to do the chair lift before we left for home Sunday. Lots of miscommunication among all employees, each living in different worlds and on different times with out accurate information so it took some work to finally get to do that chair lift. The ones working in the adventure center said that the resort lost a bunch of employees. I guess they did the best they could. The employee cleaning pool area at Heather Highlands was very helpful and nice. The room was clean with a nice layout but the description on the hotel reservation NEEDS to be updated. It said nothing about having an upstairs. The microwave, the coffee pot and the fireplace was not working and needs to be fixed so we couldnt even make a coffee or a bag of popcorn. I dont think we would come back here again. Wish it was a bit nicer experience. But overall it was okay. The scenery from the chairlift was the highlight of our stay.
Place was great. Our room, for wife and 4small kids was comfortable and we were able to cook some meals. Morning walks with the 1 year old were beautiful and refreshing. We will totally be back. There was plenty to do at the resort that was complimentary and pay options were super fun. Highly recommend.
We stayed there for 2 nights: the nights of Sat Aug 22 and Sun Aug 23, 2020. We stayed in a condo with a loft.PROS:- Very professional and helpful staff.- Lobby and rooms were very clean and updated.- They even had pen and paper to write on!- Manual for odd microwave was in the cabinet above the microwave.- They had an unusual pool/jacuzzi which was very large for a jacuzzi. It was warm, but not overly warm, and had bubble jets. It had 2 parts: an inside part and outside part and you could swim between them.- Ski lift chair ride was included, and very peaceful. We went on it twice! It had great views, bring your camera.- Ski lift operators were helpful as my elderly mom was with me, and they slowed down the lift for us as she had a bad foot. We are very greatful for this kindness.- Every other ski lift chair has a bike rack so most people would take their bikes to the top of the mountain and ride down, but you can take the ski lift chair back down again if you wish.- Larger people were able to fit on the ski lift too, just ask the operator for help.- Many pots, pans, and silverware, dishes, glasses were included in the condo. As was a small diswasher.- Its not far from other towns and restaurants. Pipers Pizza is very good and has gluten-free crusts and dairy-free cheese. Its loud and busy in their kitchen, please do spell your name as my name "Chuck" sometimes sounds like I said "Jeff" to people in a noisy environment.- Their spa is under renovation so we used the spa at Inn at Bay Harbor.- Nearby Petosky has plenty of coffee shops, ice cream shops, boutiques, art houses, and many other chotchke stores. The state stone, a petoskey stone, is sold in many general stores.- Lobby of the condo building has a drive-up area with brass self-serve trolleys for your luggage.CONS:- None I can think of.
Bad news is that the hotel is under construction and they are trying to stay open while renovating. That is a mistake. Although I understand the need to make money (especially during a pandemic), this is not a pleasant retreat from the noise of the city - if that is what you are looking forward to with your family. The construction is loud, and the hotel is dirty on the wing where the construction is taking place. The rooms are very dated with old furniture and 80s decor. Here is the Good news: Clearly management understands this hotel is in a major need of an upgrade. For now, the grounds are nice. The mountain bike trails are lovely. The golf courses are well-groomed and the golf staff is attentive. The Hotel staff is attentive and doing the best they can to manage expectations of guests who paid $300+ a night for a room. I am sure it will be great when they are finished with the grand renovation, but I would wait until they finish the renovations before going to Boyne. Stay somewhere else and vist when the glory of the reopening is deserving of the rate they are charging guests now.
Easily the best resort/hotel and skiing experience Ive ever had. This place has tons of staff that were all kind and helpful no matter what throughout the weekend. Skiing and snowboarding is very fun with lots of helpful lift operators with smiling faces. The pool and hot tub are extremely warm, perfect for the winter cold. Will be back next year!!! :)
Great ski resort for both beginners and advance skiers. There are plenty of lanes u can choose from. Also, it feels pretty safe going down the hill as a novice. You can also do tubing and enjoy the hot pool. The condo is really comfortable and spacious and could accommodate eight people for our group.
Boyne highlands offers some of the best skiing in Michigan. It did not disappoint what so ever. SO many green hills for a beginner skier... There is also multiple runs that could give even the more experience skiers a run for their money. Our family stayed for a longer weekend, the lodging at heather highlands is typical. Microwave, fridge, stove and a coffee maker. The beds were comfy but the pillows on the other hand were not what so ever. The pillows were soft and did not offer much support at all. Also pool was ultra warm and was larger than the average pool. The crew working the lifts made sure that there was not snow on them and were very friendly.Overall had a blast and made memories that will last a life time
Had a Wonderful time while in Boyne Highlands Resort! Four Golf courses right on the property and with another four off the site to choose from. All with a unique setting and challenging as well. The resort is old style but quite nice. Lots of activities as well. Great food, plenty of drink and very accommodating Staff! They also offer at the beginning and end of the season Canadian at par! Well worth the visit! Check it out! ☺👍👍👍
After our trip last year we couldn’t wait to come back. Just finished another great three days of skiing. All of the staff members are friendly and courteous. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food is amazing. The ski staff does everything possible to ensure you have fun and ski safe.
