Yoshi's Hibachi and Sushi Japanese & Asian Cuisine in Temple

My last visit wasn’t so pleasing the rice tasted nasty no garlic flavor n rice was mushy I been coming here for two years and this was not good at all idk who the new cook is but he needs to be replaced

The food was just ok to me. I do like the teriyaki sauce but the Hennessy sauce was not good to me. I didn’t like the fact that they chop up shrimp and not put whole shrimp in the shrimp fried rice. That seemed either cheap or lazy but I didn’t care for that. It was just ok. Probably a good spot to go to if you are drunk and need to put something on your stomach. Not sure I will visit again.

Yoshi comes to my job and serve food... the food is usually delicious 😋 so I wanted to try it outside of work and went to the fenkell and Hubbell location never again. Very unprofessional the young lady in the back cursing some one out on the phone loud. Lack of customer service skills 😒...

I won’t be coming back . The girl messed my order up and I was basically forced to take what was given to me . I asked her for chicken & shrimp mixed and she gave me 2 separate orders and still made me pay extra for garlic . Attitude was terrible and the food wasn’t even hitting like I thought, the shrimp was so dry and the chicken was tough .That’s my fault for not sticking to Benihana like I normally do .

Ordered the steak. It was tough as nails and mushrooms were burned. Wasted my money.

I can’t eat oily food but I have found that I can eat the hibachi shrimp and vegetables here with no problem. The price is a little high but the food is good.

This place is TRASH, the true hibachi is grossly dishonored by this place the rice 🌾 bland AF and for the price you might as well get real japanese , I worked in Thai food for 13 years simply the worse I ever had

Ghetto Japanese. If you don’t know better, you’d go to this place. Their ancestors are frowning down at this hood fried rice, tough pathetic cuts of steak, dry shrimp, and dirty grill sautéed vegetables. Two stars because the chicken was the moistest thing in my $30 box and they give discounts.

I picked up two orders for Uber eats to deliver and this place just smelled amazing. My customers raven about the food. Great food option in the city.

This food just changed my life! It’s a bit pricy but delicious!! Not sure why people are saying it’s a small portion because it’s not!

They always have my food hot and fresh. Even when I ordered a chicken fried rice with my full steak hibachi and my fried rice didnt have no chicken they gave me a full order of chicken fried rice to make up for the mistake. That alone will make me continue to shop there. Thats how you make it up to your customers cause they food not cheap so you want to get your moneys worth .

The chicken was hard to chew. I took it back thinking maybe they gave me something old, and the remake was just as bad. The chicken was tougher that over cook steak. That was my first and last time.

I was missing half my order and called. There was nothing that could be done on their end though it was there order. My order was over $100 for 2 people.

Tried to place a call in for chicken fried rice they said it was already made and ready I didn’t have to call it in just come in . So I go in pay . And HAD TO WAIT 20 minutes !!!!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Then she says oh it’s usually ready like what ???

The rice was hard, The salmon was over cooked and burned. The flavor was beyond bland. The mushroom was the only thing that was cooked well.

My son wanted to try chicken fried rice after school, so we finally did it! He got chicken and I got veggie fried rice. He didn’t have much chicken and I had no veggies other than the string carrots. I wasn’t expecting no veggies on veggie fried rice. However it was still good just no veggies. My son liked his chicken fried rice just said it wasn’t much chicken.

Ive eaten a lot of chicken fried rice over the years and this restaurant is a keeper. This is one of the only places Im coming to for hibachi from now on because the food is great and the people at the front counter taking orders are welcoming and personable. I really enjoy what this restaurant offers, so I will be back soon.

I placed an order through door dash. I noticed that my bag was not secured. The portion size of the food was very small. My food looked over cooked and not appetizing.There was nothing taped or stapled. It didn’t look safe to eat so I didn’t eat it.

This place food is really good the only reason they didnt get five stars is because they want too much money for a full plate you would end up paying $50 or more just for two meals when you really can go sit down and eat. Other than that the food is good but I would recommend going to the Livernois and 8 Mile location there they rice is much better

I love their food. Its easier to call ahead on your order. They are practicing social distancing here. The prices are good an its take out only

$29 I got this and they definitely cheated me I want my money back I paid over $63 for 2 dinners less meat then my other one

This was my first time trying this hibachi place and I wouldn’t recommend. The food was over cooked so the meat was tuff and dried out as though it was cooked extra well done and sat out and was just on a warmer for a long time. I ordered the chicken and steak It smelled good tho but that’s about it

The food is delicious but the customer service sucks spent 75.00 today even the security was rude. I parked in the front because Im disabled. He asked me to move in the middle of me placing my order. I will never spend another dime.

This Yoshi is the best Yoshi, all the others bs you on getting your food. This one gets it right, gives you the right amount of food, they dont give dried out lobster, rice is spicy when you ask, and my food always comes correct. The only thing I dont like is that the phone dont work so you have to go up there and order.

This food here tastes great but the portions can be a little more. This place, is better than the one on livernois and in Harper woods. The food on Fenkell is seasoned better.

i do not recommend ordering through any other party like doordash or grubhub. they do not package any of their food securely. i received my food with just the container in a bag🤢. anyone could’ve opened my food and spit in it. i’m very disappointed and angry with this!

Yum ! So glad I found this place ! This gives you the quality and deliciousness of Benihana without the long drawn out wait. The full size meals are HUGE! The hubby and I could never finish it and started getting the minis, but let me tell you the mini isn’t mini. Almost can’t tell the difference between the two sizes. Hubby always get the chicken and shrimp double with shrimp fried rice teriyaki sauce and garlic. I get the steak with white rice and one sweet yum yum sauce and one spicy yum yum sauce and a garlic butter.We have picked up and got delivery. They have never gotten anything wrong or forgot anything. The staff are friendly as well and they package it so well.Definitely try it out! You won’t be disappointed!Highly recommend

Not good at all. Very dry and bland and they charge for extra garlic butter. A couple ppl told me about this place so when I finally gave them a try I was so disappointed. At the money I wasted. Damn near 40dollars for chicken and steak hibachi and it was awful!! Never again!!

This is my second time trying this restaurant. First time ordered food from the Southfield location, placed the order on the phone, walked in no masks, left the food. Second time ordered on Fenkell, I was afraid to get out of my car because of the area. Food was very disappointing (steak and shrimp). I paid 25.00 for food I consider worth 5.00.I will not return!!!

I usually love it but not today. I cant drive at the moment so I had to Doordash therefore I couldnt take the food back. I spent almost $50 on 2 meals. My shrimp hibachi had hair in it. My chicken hibachi didnt have my garlic butter I paid $1.50 for. Its the the money its the point that whatever I pay for I want. Needless to say I was not pleased today. Food in the trash and so is $50 bucks 😒

For me, I thought the veggies could be cut up smaller and the presentation wasnt the best, sorta just dumped in box and for the cost - the box/container couldve been better. It was my 1st time there, the food itself was good but Lordt! I woke up with heartburn the next morning!

Please get a receipt and check your food before leaving. My husband went to get carry out, for us to try out for the first time, for my bday and he knows to get me steak whenever it’s a choice. Well he opens the bag and it’s a full chicken and a chicken/shrimp mini . So he goes back in to let the cashier know he has someone else’s order . She was very dismissive and told him he never said steak. He didn’t want to be put into a bad mood , or have to wait to re order because we were on borrowed time with the kids away, on my bday so he left and said we aren’t ever going back ((shrug)). He said it was almost like she knew what was up when she saw his face... I’m not going to go into hypotheticals . I’m just going to say make sure you get a receipt when dealing with any restaurant-like I told him- that is the only true proof of what actually ordered.

the BEST location! I’ll drive out my way and pass every other Yoshi’s to come to this one. Whoever cooks during the week needs a raise! The food/ customer service is superb and this restaurant will continue to get my money. Love black owned business that succeed my expectations! Keep up the great work!

10.00$ for a bowl of rice. They are so stingy with the shrimp and chicken. They put a few chopped up pieces on top of a full container of rice. You would think the way they chop it up that it would be all throughout the rice, no just on top, then the chicken or shrimp is always overcooked, always. Whoever is getting away with selling this on a regular has to be favored, because that is the only reason I can see it lasting this long. I kept trying thinking it would get better, but it still just a container of rice.

I was a little hesitant after reading the Google and FB reviews, but overall, it was very good. I got the full size Chicken Hibachi with veggie fried rice and a side of yum yum sauce and garlic butter. I do think you should be able to choose the garlic butter as a complementary sauce instead of paying extra for it because w/o it doesn’t really taste like your typical hibachi style meal. The yum yum sauce is good, I wouldn’t recommend pouring it over your food though because it is very sweet, but as a dipping sauce it’s good. The regular size portions are small so most definitely get the full size. The chicken is good once it has sauceOr the butter on it. W/o it’s kind of lacking. I was disappointed they didn’t have and type of spring rolls available, but like I said overall, it was very good. I will be back to try the steak as well. The customer service isn’t the best, but maybe the young lady wasn’t having the best day. I visited the Fenkell and Hubbell location. I would give 5 stars if the customer service was a little better. 2/28 update I went back to try the Steak and Chicken combo. The amount you get for paying $32 is almost laughable. You pay almost $20 more just to add the steak and it’s not really worth it. The food is good, but if you’re going to come in, I would stick to the chicken dishes to get your money’s worth. Again no spring rolls, and the customer service leaves very little to be desired. I hope they look over the reviews. There isn’t much that’s a problem, like I said the food is very good besides a few things that lack. I think once it’s been open longer all the kinks will be worked out.Update2020***I have eaten here several times since my first visits. I still love the food. I hate that there are never any spring rolls, but the food is fire every single time. The baby I was pregnant with the first two time loves the rice too. Lol the Asian henny sauce and teriyaki is bomb! Eat here!!!

I needed two full pans of chicken fried rice at the last minute for a birthday party I was attending, and they were able to accommodate me. Price was great. Portion was plentiful and the young ladies at the counter were very pleasant, professional and friendly. They even gave me some garlic butter to go with it. Everyone at the event loved the food. Thank you for an overall great experience.

My first visit to the Livernois location was okay. The dining room is nice, but it was still closed due to the pandemic, so my meal was carry out. The young ladies behind the counter were professional, but not wearing a mask. The owner/manager will hopefully address this, for the safety of the employees. I ordered the chicken and the portion of both the rice and the chicken was good. It was enough for two people to share. But there wasnt enough vegetables. Both the chicken and the broccoli didnt look like it had been freshly prepared, but just tossed onto the grill to reheat. Normally hibachi chicken has a nice golden color, and the vegetables are bright in color. I only had 2-3 pieces of broccoli. I wouldnt mind trying the food again, in hopes of having a better meal visually. "You eat with your eyes first."

The staff and service were excellent! Definitely not value for the cost!! $52 for two containers of rice!! The small portions of meat and seafood could at least be compensated for with an ample serving of vegetables.

Was very impressed with all my food. Stake was on point not over cooked or dry. Rice was well proportioned a lot over everything. flavor was exploding but not over whelming. plus it wasnt all greasy. I will say staff was very informative. The beautiful ms.Dorthy and Chrystal were very friendly and helpful. will be back if in the area! definitely a place to check out!!!!!

I went in today after waiting and checking out the reviews. Because yes they are pricey, but I dont mind paying for what I want. But when I pay $45 for a meal. I would like for it to be correct.... I requested no mushrooms. Then I asked if the steak and lobster came with the chicken. Well long story short. Plenty of mushrooms. Not a shred of chicken. Called to let them know.... No answer . Couldnt eat it😡😡😡

Im a bit lost on why so many bad reviews. We had take out from here today and ordered chicken fried rice and vegetable fried rice with yum-yum sauce and garlic butter. Both were deliciosooo 👌🏾👌🏾. Once you add the garlic butter you think your in Benihanas of the D!! And the rice was only $3 per serving!! I told the cashier it was my first time and she said "Oh youll be back". I laughed but she was damn right, I will!!

Please be advised the mini and the full portions are are the exact same amount of food just served in different containers. The food was decent. I had the salmon it was cooked well but a really small portion. The mini actually had a larger portion of meat. So save the extra $5.00 you would pay for a Full. The food was pretty ok but the rice was sticky and the food was not really hot like it had been cooked to order. For the price I expected a lot better. I hope they make improvements because I would love to support them as a black owned business.

I just want to say that the service here is horrible! I just left this establishment after waiting for nearly two hours for my food. I love to support black business , but i will not be back here base off my experience today. The first time i came the food was food. I was very excited about coming here for a second time so I tried to call my order in but couldn’t get through the line. So I decided to go to Benihanas but when we got there it was a wait so I came here which i originally wanted to. At 4:49pm I got through and place my order, I receive a call back 15 minutes later saying they didn’t have lobster. So when i got there i just place my order inside around 5:15, my bill was over $70 and they told me it would be about 30min. After going in to see if my order was ready, they messed up on one lady food and it was a guy waiting for his food who place his order before us. We finally got our food at 6:20p and our order was not correct. We didn’t leave out this establishment until about 6:30. That was very unacceptable! And we only received a complimentary drink!

I went on a Sunday. The food was good, but I didnt get enough for the money. Rice is inexpensive, there were not enough vegetables in my vegetable fried rice. For the amount of money I spent, I expected more food. I was told there was a twenty minute wait, I gave it 30 minutes and my food was ready when I got there. I see there are some really bad reviews. I hope you guys see them and try to win those customers back because I really think youre on to something wonderful.

Today was my first day going here, and I will definitely be back. I got wonderful service from Dorothy, she was very patient with me even when I kept changing my mind about what I wanted. Was quoted a 20-25 minute cook time and it didn’t even take that long. Nice sized portions for the price. My only suggestion would be to lessen the cooking time of the steak, it was kind of tough... and to actually cook the food in garlic butter instead of only putting the garlic butter on the side. Other than that the food tasted excellent! Again, big shout out to Dorothy!!! She was amazing. She’s the reason I’ll be coming back!!!!!

I loved it!! Been wanting to go since I heard about them, was finally able to try it. I was impressed. I called in my order, it was ready by the time I got there, a little over 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint is I would have liked to have a more shrimp for the price I paid.

Decided to give review on second visit Good food definitely love the fact it’s black owned my only issues are the rice didn’t taste like it even touched butter even a little bit . Then you say specifically “NO VEGGIES” and I still get a bowl full of shredded carrots and damn onions in my rice .😒 Last but not least the older ladies that were there taking orders were rude as hell over the phone but none the less it tasted Good just needs a little more time to develop I guess.
