Food was absolutely disgusting. Ordered the Yo Sushi roll set and the rice was very damp and mushy. Seaweed wrap was so stale and limp that you cant really tell if it is seaweed anymore.Definitely the WORST sushi I have ever had IN MY LIFE and I have sushi every week. The restaurant has the audacity to charge that price? What a joke.
Not what it used to be. I like to see what i buy and its all to casual now. Not a lot of special occasion wear anymore
Lost a lot of the fun since you cant watch the good in the same way....Ordering now requires multiple payments or one large order to start...
Everything was tasty and staff are friendly and attentive. Only downside is that choice of sushi/sashimi is very limited. No octopus, no cuttlefish, no clam, just tuna and salmon. Sort of a fast food sushi restaurant. But, Ill say again all that was served was delicious, just limited.
Delicious sushi and hot food here.Drinks options are a bit limited and cost can add up as some of the dishes are quite small, but quality if the food is very good.
First time coming here and very impressed. Had a Good range of dishes with some great recommendations from a staff member too!
Friendly staff, amazing food, chicken fried rice and seafood ramen are our favourites so far. Highly recommend!!
Staff were rude, food was mediocre and my previous review has disappeared? Were good a few months ago but no more. Other diners were placed next to us despite the restaurant being empty and staff acted like they were closing soon despite not closing for another 5 others. Completely disheartened and wont be returning
Usually a treat but really didnt like the new system here. Made ordering food a pain. Hardly anything of interest available gluten-free either and the allergen menu isnt clear enough when comes to the ordering.Lost the water on the tables and the high chair we were given was falling apart and heavily wornDoubt Ill be back any time soon

Great food, service is now by app and belt this is a change from when I last visited before COVID. That being said it adds efficacy while not taking away the personal touch as there are still people there when/if there is an issue. Good service great food...

Ordered YO! Sushi because I usually love it there. But today I was delivered sushi with an alive fly inside the sealed meal box.Although disappointed a full refund was given. Just remember to check what youre eating.
Yo used to be such a great place to eat but the new ordering system is extremely frustrating and the food very overpriced. Probably the last visit I will make. Sad!
Over priced and the speed of the train and its content not so good. Way too fast. Not enough food selection between bursts of speed.
Spent quite alot per person but well worth it. Wanted to try all different types of food. First experience of using the restaurant and we will be back again!
Quality of food specially the hot items have dropped only Sushi is still good. The new system of ordering also makes the experience not so great.
This review is purely about hygiene of this branch. Entering from outside there are small steps on your left..look, you will see plenty of cobwebs on the rails... down the steps there are big huge long windows that stretches to the end of the room... the whole stretch had dead flies of all sorts on the ledge... 🤢🤢🤢lovely!! Hate to imagine what the kitchen is like!! 😱

Not been to yo sushi since pre covid. Didn’t like the ordering system even though I realise it’s most likely due to covid that they can’t just have food going round that anyone can take. The table was dirty and it was quiet so there was no excuse, the cup for my drink wasn’t particularly clean either. The popcorn shrimp is not as good as it used to be sadly and is pricey for what it is. Yakisoba and katsu were good. Didn’t like being disturbed mid eating to be asked to leave a review and I automatically got charged for service charge but my only interactions with staff were for sitting me at a table and being asked to leave a review. It was all around mediocre, won’t be coming back any time soon
Very basic wine selection, food isnt cheap, and you do everything through the website, so service is good, but limited interactions, but food is good. Would visit again. No different to any other Yo.
Absolutely amazing food! Pia our server was so kind and helpful so special shout out to her! Recommend the salmon avocado hand roll 😉

One of my favourite sushi places - their vegetarian options are actually cool and creative rather than seeming accidental. I always stop by if Im in town.
Fast and friendly service with good selection of sushi. Only 4 stars as miso soup was extremely salty and while I appreciate the freshness of ingredients and location, I still left feeling it was a little overpriced for what we had.

Had a wonderful time having dinner here with friends. The staff were incredible, fast with service and incredibly friendly. We had a waitress called Pia helping as out, and she made our experience as comfortable as possible. Will definitely be coming back.

Good quality Japanese food and reasonably priced. Order on the app and receive your food on the train track that loops around the tables, which is a good novelty. Food arrived fast and fresh from the kitchen. Portions are small and you may leave feeling a bit empty, but its densely calorific, so you get what you need without feeling bloated. Main course, dessert and drinks was £20 per head for a family.
Great food and experience of conveyor delivered food. Not open until 11.30am on Sunday (website says 11am). Had to ask for cutlery and plates for child eating with us, and water only offered as we finished eating.
Don’t bother. Was excited to try out Yo Sushi as I’ve heard good things but I couldn’t have been more disappointed. They seat you down and just leave you to your own devices which felt very odd as if you’ve been shoved aside. No one even looks in your direction, asks if you need anything or if you’re enjoying the food (which we were not). I’d never felt more invisible eating in a restaurant. The first thing I noticed is the staff were cleaning right in front of us which was very off putting. After ordering I noticed half of the meals were just taken out of a fridge and plopped on the conveyer belt straight away. I would expect sushi to be made fresh there and then. The chicken Katsu roll was awful and dry, the food tasted off especially the Korean chicken Donburi which we couldn’t even eat because of how artificial the sauce tasted. Such a waste! They had no ice for our room temperature cokes and on top of all of this, the sliding doors to exit weren’t working so I had to struggle sliding it open with my fingers which really topped off the terrible experience. Will not be going back. Save your money!!
Wonderful customer service. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was perfect and came quickly after ordering. Would highly recommend this Yo Sushi to anyone who hasn’t tried it before. Special shout out to Pia our server who was lovely and checked a few times to see how we were doing - couldn’t have asked for a better server! Thank you guys!

This is a nice sushi place with a nice staff.It’s worth the visit for the fun. The food service is really agile and fast.Good selection and variety for all tastes.They also have a section for vegetarian which is a really nice touch.Portions are not as great as other sushi places but it’s worth for the price.The desserts look nice as well with good variety. It’s rare to see mochi balls in the menu, but they have a few three to choose. Worth the visit.

This is the first time Ive been back to Yo! Sushi since the start of COVID. So wasnt sure how Yo Sushis conveyor belt system could work now. With a little help from my waitress Pia, I found the new ordering and food delivery system to be better and more understandable than it was before! As ever the Sushi was excellent!
Massive wait and not informed about the delay. As a Deliveroo rider paid per job was very disappointed with 10 minute wait. We are paid for job.
Very tasty vegan sushi, which was surprisingly filling. I love the novelty of the conveyor belt, too. I would recommed the spicy vegetable rice.

We always go to Yo sushi, especially during blue Monday. We havent been since they increased the price to £3 per plate. However we went yesterday and cant believe they cut down the menu so much!!! Also I cant believe what they have done to the portion size, completely thinned down every piece of sushi or sashimi. Very disappointed, not sure for all other yo or just the one in Reading trying to save money. You can see how thin the sashimi is and even on the yo rolls. Saving on salmon and rice.
First time visiting Yo! Sushi with some friends this evening and picked/ordered some dishes which are really delicious.The staff are absolutely fantastic and the overall service experience is great, really enjoyed the visit.
Not bad. Service is obviously fast, and staff are helpful and keen. Quality is fine, however taste on a lot of dishes is quite bland compared to a lot of other sushi places Ive visited. You have to go for something "hot" to get much in the way of flavour. Quite expensive too, though not on a dish by dish basis, more because dishes themselves are quite small and so you end up working your way through quite a lot. Price didnt match with the quality. Id go again, but mainly for the novelty.
I really like Yo Sushi as a brand. The concept and aesthetic of the places really appeals to me, and the food is always to a good standard.This one is as fine as any other of the chain. Never been to one located in a department store, but the quality of food and the service was not diminished for this.You always risk spending a bit more then you intended at a Yo Sushi. There is so much on offer passed on front of you on the conveyor belt, that it is hard to resist. Also, keeping a track of your tab with their pay the the bowl system can be a bit tricky.Saying this though, I are very well, and always do here, and sent no more the £25.A good place to stop off for some quick food after a shop.
