Upper Level Piccadilly Station, Manchester M1 2QL, Manchester
Japanese dishes taken from the belt or ordered from the open kitchen at a colourful chain eatery.
Staff were very kind but limited menu compared to other yo sushi and no turn table😔
The place wasn’t clean, very little choice and the sushi looked awful and was all messed up, don’t know what it would taste like as I walked straight out
Dirty tables, terribly slow service and its ridiculous that you have to order online when there is a cashier on the till! The prices have skyrocketed and the quality has plummeted. I realise that its a very westernised version of Japanese cuisine but I honestly feel that theyre not even trying anymore.Id rather spend more and receive high quality sushi from any number of the excellent restaurants we have in the city than ever eat at YO! again.
The rice was raw! How can you serve this? Honestly so bad and they should do a reevaluation on their quality. Worst sushi in Manchester so far
Friendly Staff, Quick Service, great on the go, will be returning!
Always lovely welcoming staff who seem happy to help, quick service, the hot dishes are extremely tasty if definitely recommend Piccadilly station for excellent service and sushi :new regular!
Honestly awful in comparison to the amazing Arndale branch the food supplied here taste awful I would not expect such a sub par food from a brand I have come to love so much the Piccadilly branch of YO! Sushi should be avoided at all costs
Dont bother ordering anything if youve got a train to catch the timings on their website are inaccurate. Also you have to order on their website by scanning a QR code which is just a pointless extra layer of admin.
The service is excellent, so friendly and welcoming. Really quick and delicious! Try the Korean Fried Chicken...so.good!
Was thinking of eating here, but decided not to, all the appeal of eating in waiting room, staff seemed disinterested, card only, wont accept cash, highly impersonal, everything lacks the personal touch, there are several eateries springing up that are similar, if this is the future Ill eat at home
We went there at 10.30 and they were not open due to a "technical error". We patiently waited until 11 as we were then told they will open at 11. Come 11.15 and we can still see them slowly putting the cushions on the chairs and taking their own sweet time. They are plenty of other restaurants here and we gladly gave our business elsewhere.
My favourite. I love yo sushi so I went there specially. As I was short on time and the queues were massive I had take away instead. It was delicious
Terrible seafood and mushroom ramen. Only a little ramen in each bowl. Even cup noodles are much better. Don’t waste any money on ramen!!
Nice food with really nice staff, always welcoming and warm. Well done!
We wanted to get something quick before our train, walked in and saw that the place was really dirty, tables with sauce/food on them, a water bottle left on the seat, and a bag of trash on the table next to us. It wasnt even very busy so really no excuse to leave it in such a state. Walled back out again! Shame
the rice was undercooked on about half of what i bought. the girl at the till was slow and unhelpful which as annoying as i was clearly in a rush and they were messing around at the back.
Decent rice hot dishes. The ramen should be thrown down the toilet. The noodles are worse than instant ramen and is portioned for babies. Singular tasting soup.
I was going to buy a drink from here and I was getting change out of my coat and one of the member of staff assumed I stole something and asked to pull my pockets out and take my coat off in-front of everyone and I did it but it really annoyed me when she found nothing she kept quite and didn’t even apologise to me.It was a really embarrassing experience for me and I’m utterly ashamed for someone to do such thing as that to a costumer.People like that shouldn’t work in a place where they have appalling Customer service.I want to file a complaint to this takeaway as this is not acceptable at all.Not coming here again as I got racially targeted!!!!
Similar options in the cabinet. Shame there is no longer hot tempura/crispy veg or prawns on order. Wasabi/ginger/soy in dishes should still be on offer if eating in (save on the plastic!Otherwise nice.
Awful. They have changed it from table service to a “to go”. We are there earlier, the sushi didn’t taste fresh and it was so disappointing. This is a change for the worse in my opinion, I would suggest to avoid.
Just the way I love it!Great taste and presentation of the food.Friendly staff and refillable Miso soup.Pd. If you like sake...give it a try. It was very tasty😉
Since the shops refurbishment they have started to use paper food containers which the sushi sticks too, so you have to scrape the sushi off the tray before eating. The salmon is also smelly! more fish smelling than previous maybe showing it’s not as fresh as it use to be?Also they no longer have the option of Gluten free soy on the side.
This one is gone, do if you want Sushi in city centre Manchester dont come here youll be dissapointed like I was yesterday. Go Sushi Marvel in ancoats instead 100% top sushi 🍣 ❤️
Not my favourite yo sushi. Didnt have teriyaki chicken and popcorn shrimp. Our two family faves. Great friendly service though.
The service was excellent. I had a miscommunication with an order but I was very happy with the friendliness of the staff. Quick service, lovely food and atmosphere was fine even though youre in a train station.Thank you yo! I had a great meal. 😊
Quick. Tasty. Friendly. As a vegan sometimes lunch or dinner on the go can be frustrating. But the Yo! Staff are friendly, and will personalise dishes to help for dietary requirements and the menu is clear on all allergens! Definitely a regular treat when passing through.
Nice food, drinks were a little expensive
Great service, very friendly. Lovely range of food for all dietary requirements, plus some really healthy options. I had the Shitake Mushroom Ramen which Mohammed made and it was DELICIOUS! Also had the Kombucha to drink which was really nice. I will go again next time Im in the area.
Great place to go if youre nearby. The food is delicious but can be a bit hit and miss depending on who makes the food. Best item on the menu is the spicy seafood ramen with rice. Request chef Mohamed to make it for you! Out of all the times Ive tried this dish here he was the best at making it! Have tried a few times and have been a bit disappointed with portions, taste etc but he ensures you get a full bowl and wont leave you yearning for more! Polite staff so far in my experience. Portions sizes better in this yo sushi in my experience in comparison to Arndale and Trafford centre. Highly recommend!
Great place for a quick snack. There are no water fountains on the tables, but they are happy to provide with tap water and refills. Staff are very attentive and nice people.
Loved it - particular thanks to the chef for explaining tonkatsu sauce. Could be quicker spotting I was ready to settle up, but the food was delicious and the staff very friendly
Really friendly staff, really fun, clean and absolutely delicious! A million vegan options, and the food is fresh and yummy! Really recommend :)!
Went here for a quick bite and thought of Katsu curry! If only this place was halal i would have got the chicken Katsu...never the less i tired the Prawn Katsu which was still very good..had it as a take away and came in a pot with sticky rice and that thick Katsu sauce...will defo revist!
Expensive sushi, but much better quality than the one on Leicester Square in London that made my Japanese neighbours at the counter slack jawed in horror. Top tip: the sushi place opposite Primark off Piccadilly gardens is the shizzle.... immaculate food, calm and good value.
Customer service was excellent and the food was delicious, I really enjoyed eating here, and would recommend to everybody. Thanks YO Sushi see you again soon.
I dont think Im sophisticated enough for sushi bars, I had no idea what to do or where to sit and staff seemed to expect me to be a pro (which most people probably are, Im just an uncultured swineand when I got the sushi I found I actually preferred store bought but thats definitely my personal preference and no reflection of the quality at this place. Basically an anxious, inexperienced persons worst nightmare lol
Great place to grab some decent tasty food when heading for the trains, staff are friendly and really efficient at getting you out the door when its platform time. Great for grabbing a bottle of wine, stacking some plates and people watching.
Love the food. Always crowed because the food is amazing. Reasonably priced.
Jav the chef was very good, the food he prepared for us for delcious. His communication is extrodinary. first time ive been to yo shushin and i received an amazing service from the staff. Tom the supervisor was also very approachble and friendly. Amazing place to have some food before travelling.
Ive only been in this specific Yo! Sushi restaurant this one time, but for the smallish size of it, its pretty decent and nice, usual good food in smaller portions, what makes it worth it though is being able to get 25% off as a student (you need to get a code through their siteand refillable green teas.
There are probably better places to get Sushi from in terms of a location but the food and the service were good. Can’t complain
I got a collection order from here. It was OKAY :-/PROS:- They were ready for the order on time.CONS:- Given the price I paid, I was expecting the ingredients to be comparable to Wasabi or Itsu (Sushi/bento chainsbut the quality of the fish was undoubtedly worse. It gave off a fishy smell which you should not get from fresh fish.- The nigiri and makis were ineptly formed. For the nigiri, you can clearly see that they used a mould and squished the rice into it. For the makis the rice even more squished in a way that the individual rice grains were nearly indistinguishable.- My tamago (eggsushi was slimy. There were 2, one was okay, the other was slimy, definitely not okay.Bottom line: If youre desperate for sashimi/sushi you can go for it, but I dont think its worth it even youre desperate.
A great pit stop to grab a quick bite or take away before your train ride.
Used to be a favourite - now depressing. All you hear is kitchen staff and servers complaining about the manager, a new server is so miserable and makes you feel like he doesnt want to be there, he doesnt want you to be there and hed do anything to leave or get you to leave. Its a real downer. Add to that theyve increased the prices and brought in a new menu, although when we selected new things we were just told "we dont have them". Were just not going back, the only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it used to be great and one day it may again.
Disgraceful management. Serving raw fish out of the time it said it should be served! Not only that but when I alerted them to this fact the cheeky manager just switched the stickers to say a later time! Tune had gone white in the corner, clearly should have been thrown away! No joke someone could get seriously ill.
Been here a few times after work for a quick bite and it has always been a good experience. The staff have been prompt in their service, even in busy times and the food has always been good for the price.
Very disappointed, initially good service being shown to the table but after that forgotten.Having never eaten in this type of resteraunt and especially as most customers would be on a time restricted visit waiting for a train, a brief explanation as you sat down would have helped. 5-10 minutes before my order was taken, and the beer was served shortly afterwards.Had a couple of dishes of the conveyor to start with but then nothing. Having waited over twenty minutes while all around were being served I eventually asked where my food was. Very apologetic and it will be with you in two minutes. Five minutes later Id had enough, my server kindly said I could pay the bill before the food arrived to save time. This I did but by this time Id lost interest and left.Overall a very disappointing experience, which was a shame as those who were being served in front of me seemed to be enjoying good food. Albeit at my expense. I only hope someone enjoyed my dishes as I had a train to catch.
My favourite sushi place. The staff are top draw and the Sunday deal (10 plates for £20is a must!!! I also loved the atmosphere of the train station whilst we ate.
Waiting for my train and had to choose somewhere to have my dinner! This was an obvious choice as I love Yo Sushi. As always, its quick, friendly service and nice sushi. Inari pockets, tamago and salmon sashimi are the favourites!
Awesome pit stop if you have time to kill waiting for a train. The chicken yakisoba is delicious and chicken Katsura too! Definitely worth a try. The staff are friendly and helpful too.
