Well maintained old shop lot with decoration emphasize on modern relax environment. Food and beverages are above average. Staff are well trained and attentive to customer. Top choice for relax afternoon in taiping.

This place is very nice and cozy. Absolutely well maintained and better than those in Melaka. We ordered the chocolate cake and it taste really good although the price was on the high side. The drinks could have been better..

Interesting historical conserved shophouse converted into cafe by owner who has penchant of historical culture and values. Primarily, we came here for the tasteful design of this place in Peranakan Style. It is an ancient shophouse previously owned by one of the tin-mining tycoons, who was also the head of Ghee Hin Association, named Chung Keng Quee. We happened to bump into the current owner, Mr Yeap who courteously spent time with us, being the narrator for the history of Perak. History aside, this is a nice cafe for friends and family gathering. The Chempedak Cheese Cake is a must-try. Price is on the steep side, but worth every penny for the experience and reasonably good food.

Very nice environment and clean surroundings. We came only for dessert and i can say abit disappointed for their price and portion.Food is pricey, above average and very small portion.Normally lava cake will have a certain size but they can shrink it below average and still charging above average price.Afogato we have tried better version then them and the price is slightly cheaper. Their coffee taste abit sour.We like their chocolate peanut, good taste but still small portion and price wise still pricey. RM15.90 for a small cake.This place is good to take pictures and enjoy the environment. Food wise can try and taste that’s all.

The environment is very comfortable with a mini "waterfall" at the old airwell. Friendly staffs. The sourdough sandwiches, Fish and chips, cempedak cheesecake, burnt cheesecake and coffee were very nice. Surprisingly, the prices were very reasonable for a comfortable cafe. Our verdict: Good.

The ambient and indoor decoration are unique. Food is typically western menu with quite a lot of choices. Taste is ok, bit pricey to local.

Im from KL and the price is outrageous for the food portion. If you want kids size meal and pay adult price then this is the place to go. Definitely not coming back, please save your gas and head elsewhere.

Cafe is clean and atmosphere is great. Price is okay just that foods portion is a bit small. Sequence of foods serving can be improved. Soup should served first before main course and dessert. However, they served us with dessert first and follow by main course then only the soup. Overall still okay for trying.

Super nice place for us to spend teatime during our visit to Taiping. Very good environment. Brings you back to early 1900s.All the vintage things to see also. Friendly & professional staffs, clean, tastes nice and prices are reasonable..#Must visit place

"Indah Khabar Dari Rupa" would be the 1 sentence to describe our dining experience.This is what we had as per the receipt. The prawn in the pasta was not fresh so the cafe replaced a new dish. Mind you there is only 2 prawns in that dish. Overall the meal was so so. We were expecting some nyonya dishes or some local dishes since this cafe has a classic heritage concept.Cafe interior is nice and staff is attentive. Would be nicer if cafe added in some local dessert or dishes to jive with the cafes interior concept.

The deserts here are good 👍🏼The chocolate volcano is recommended.The Shakerato coffee is special and good 👍🏼

The cafe has a warm and cozy ambience, set within a pre-war house which stretches from one end facing the street while the other, the back lane.We had cakes and coffee during our visit and simply loved the Matcha Lover dessert!

Had their Lime Cheesecake and Pandan Mango. Both cakes were amazing; neither too sweet nor repulsive. The cheesecake base was thin so theres more of the cheese. For RM12-13 per piece, the slice is pretty big. Americano was decent, but my taste buds couldnt seem to comprehend Shakerato (Id like to think its vanilla, but then again I ordered it blindly). Nice place to hang out over coffee and cake.

Cheesy Tuna Pizza taste like Laksa. Grilled Fish with White sauce have unpleasant taste. Salad are simply corn and cucumber. Coffee brownie have hard dough base. Food relatively small. Not recommended. Environment comfort. Not worth it.

To my knowledge the best place of its sort in Taiping or surrounding area until you get up to Penang. This place though not on the same scale, scope or international as China House in Georgetown has a similar vibe.The fact that its a bit more real than touristy is one of its appealing features I think. Coffee was very good, lime cheesecake seems to be the go to cake and I can see why as its a textbook example. Service was good and its certainly value for money (they dont take cards FYIplus during the week theres some lunch deals. Parking was very easy (unlike Georgetownand its not too far from the Lake Gardens either. Theres also a highchair for those that need - will be returning soon!

Nice ambience . The food portion is small hence lower pricing for cafe food range. Cempedak cheesecake was yumz. The salad was refreshing after all the greasy food at the food courts and street food . Order at the counter, and it will be served to you . No alternative milk options available here for coffee / tea drinks.

Great ambience, great place to chill for coffee and cakes but the food is meh.. prawns old, chicken old, food had some weird funny taste, not generous with mushrooms and only 2 prawn given for your very dry aglio olio but thats fine cause its old anyway. Quality of food pretty 👎

One of the best aglio olio spaghetti with smoked duck I’ve ever tasted! The price is reasonable (but a bit higher for Taiping standard). The ambience of this cafe is v v nice and it is so beautiful with its oriental theme. Everyone should try have a a visit here once in Taiping. Recommended!

The most interesting architecture and remade waterfall facade..also the lesson on history by proprietor..Long Jaffar, Ghee Hin Hai San clan, sultan and British in Taiping and First Ford Modrl T in Malaysia..stop by for coffee

Great atmosphere but Im pretty disappointed with the price and portion. I didnt expect such tiny pizza lmao. Beverages were tasty. Wouldnt come again.

Rosy Raintown Rooster - perfect portion, juicy chicken, awesome gravy even better with crunchy criss cut fries.Samba Sambal - innovative and creative gravy, taste like asam pedas.Worth to note, the mushroom soup is made from scratch & not the canned one with perfectly slathered garlic bread.Cempedak cheesecake - love the cempedak bits and pieces in the cheesecake. Delicious if you like cempedak.100% recommended and will visit again.

Love the place. It was a historical building previously belongs to Kapitan Chong Thye Pin. There are a variety of desserts. My favourite dish is the smoke duck pasta. Price is bit high but for me is definitely worth it. Expect some delays in serving food while it is crowded at times.

Great ambience, good drinks, tasty food, and awesome desserts. Staffs are attentive. The place is suitable for hanging out with friends or family. Been here twice and have been recommending it to others. If youre looking to chill over some good drink and desserts, this is the place to go to.

The place is an excellent hybrid of vintage ambience topped with contemporary outlook. The cakes taste superb, and are arguably the best in town. Highly recommend to try their rose-flavored latte as well, as its strong aroma will surely mesmerize you. The prices are at the upper-end range, but suit to the classy dining experience it offers.

We tried pasta and was good. The cempedak cheese cake was wonderful, with a unique flavour, after a great cappuccino. The heritage building is beautifully restored, and worth the visit by itself.

Love the beautiful space -- its in the old Kapitan Chung Keng Kwees residence, so has all the elements of a Chinese house in the colonial style: longish with sun roofs in the quadrangle. Its filled with beautiful china and old brass items.Coffee is decent. Alas did not get to try their signature chempedak cheesecake. Internet is worky though

Definitely a must visit cafe in Taiping Town. This building used to be the residence of the Kapitan of Taiping. Very beautiful heritage building with well taken cared of interior. Awesome coffee and awesome food being served here!

(Update: 1/10/2020)8/10 will come back and eat their dessert.18/8/2020 - My first visit here today.Didn’t know They close at 8pm,coz on google map stated they open until 10pm.I stepped in at 730pm. Last call is 745pm.Very lucky had the chance to try their famous cempedak cheesecake. The taste is 10/10not something I like but seriously it blend well with the cheese. The whole thing taste rich. Just that the dressing not so match (In my opinionthey chose chocolate out of everything.The creme brûlée is so so good. Rich and thick. Simple. Probably the most instagrammable cafe in Taiping. Really like the ambience. Matcha tiramisu and Americano was really good and price is very reasonable. Many power outlets at strategic locations is also a plus point.

Really chill ambiance and nice decor. I went at a very quiet time so service was fast. Food portions were satisfying and prices were reasonable. Would visit again to try their other cakes.

An accidentally discovery .. sort of .. as it turned out, it was an encounter w a familiar face, an old acquaintance .. this quaint cafe is named after the owner (Yeaps daughter (Yinn, who graduated fr a culinary school, and rtnd home to this charming pattiserie .. her signature pastries & cakes hv garnered support & compliments fr locals & visitors .. watermelon cake, cempedak cheesecake ..The bldg itself has an interesting history ..The Chinese-style carved screen btwn the front hall & the middle hall, retains the original feature of the house in the 19th century .. this townhouse was the residence of Capitan China Chung Keng Quee ( 鄭景貴甲) Zhèng Jǐngguì Jia, 1821 – 13 December 1901 ..  the founder and administrator of modern Taiping in Perak, Malaysia ..And today, it is a quaint & charming cafe ..Yinns Patisserie57, Jalan Barrack, 34000 Taiping

The whole cafe has a really good ambience, with plenty of seats to choose from. Had the Duck aglio olio, which was exceptional and the duck was really seasoned well. The mango cheese cake was really good too, wasnt overwhelming with cheese, but just nice enough. Recommended 👍

1st time here.its still during CNY, most seats are occupied but not full house. took quite long to serve food (about 20-30min)caramel cheesecake taste goodsmoked duck spaghetti taste ok but noodle was overcooked.parmigiana fried chicken didnt taste so fresh.chocolate indulgence was ok but the nut has strong oil smell.

Western food and cafe. Price is reasonable for the western theme. Very nice environment. Thr fish and chips using usual chips and not abundant as those in western countries.

There are plenty of new cafes open in Taiping but I can vouch this cafe has one of the best blend of coffee in this small town. Nicely renovated shop house and comfy setting. Recommended!

Food was great and their tartar sauce for fish and chips were homemade ! Very excellent and delicious, worth a visit if u are in Taiping. The design of this cafe is a masterpiece, the designer put a lot of thoughts into this I guess in order to make the design look put together.

Fine place for dining. Snacks are good but slightly salty. The beverage is priced decently and taste good. The best point for this cafe would be the ambience as it combines the authentic local culture design and some hipster touch.

A huge range of dessert to try here. Rookie patisserie in Taiping with special and creative invention of cake brings in a brand new way. Good presentation of desserts But still need for improvement on the taste. A bit disappointed with the cheese cake that melted. Cozy environment with wooden and tree design. Suitable for group, couples or individuals. Good job for the friendly Crew to handle the cny crowd. Fast service.
