Yerba Buena in San Juan

Great spot for food and drinks. They have these awesome swinging booths perfect for sipping a drink and enjoy some people watching at El Condado.

Food is very good. Atmosphere is nice. The service was a little strange. There were two of us. They brought out one of the entries and than waited 15 minutes for the other. It was crowded that night.

Nice restaurant on the main stretch with an open air patio. Was very fun to sit in the swinging booth and watch the afternoon activity on the corner. Mojitos are the drink of choice and come in a large variety.

Too pushy. Moitos were good but if you are not planning to have dinner there be prepared to b kicked out as i was. The host offered us the best seat as the whole place was empty and then when i said i am not here for dinner then he said can u move. Not a warm hosting i would say. Wont go there again.

It is GREAT . Weekend live music, calm atmosphere and the fare is really that touch of classy Caribbean...look how pretty

Very good food here! If you love seafood, get the plate with a mixture of octopus/shrimp/squid- soooo good!! If you prefer to stick with land animals, get the pork chirosco, its a huge portion of meat. The fried mofongo is also a great choice for a side and the guava cheesecake really sweetens up the finale. Recommended!

Food is very good and the Mojitos are delicious

Atmosphere and food was amazing! Live music and delish mojitos. We had pork tenderloin with roasted veggies in tamarind glaze and the skirt steak with chimichurri, both with the yucca mofongo. Everything was wonderful!

Ordered a coconut mojito and boy...was it delicious. Also ordered the sampler and it didnt dissapoint...just the right amount of flavor...definitely recommend!

Waited 45 minutes after my lady got her food to go find out what happened to my food then blamed the printer! He should of check the kitchen when he seen I didn’t get my food but went close to an hour later! I know things happen but this customer didn’t get the attention he deserved!

Mojitos, calamari app, chicken breast stuffed with yucca all wrapped with bacon, rice and beans, plump coconut shrimp with deep/fried yucca. Soooo good. Get seated at an outdoor glider swing table!

Wow! The snapper is the best fish Ive had in a while, the churasco steak was super tasty. Great atmosphere, great music, great service. The only thing that wasnt perfect was the strawberry mojito (way too sweet and tasted like fake strawberry).

Really good food but pricey for the portion size.

We have coming here year after year. Always a great meal and the service is outstanding. We really enjoy sitting at the sliding tables. Would recommend this place...

Overpriced, mojito tasted strange.They suggested deep fried red snapper (35$it was gummy and dry.Tips are already included.Would not recommend this place. ;(

Great Cuban food and lot of fun. Live Latin music and Some cozy booths and great service. I had the Chuurasko Chimchimuri.

Thought I would take a pic of the staff standing around while I waited 13 minutes to get my Credit back. Seems like the quality of food coming out of the kitchen is very good, however, I got so fed up with the lack of service, I decided to tab out after one Mojito. Dudes running around in white shirts, hats and ear buds, accomplishing a whole lot of nothing. Ive been in PR for nearly a year, so Im no stranger to the slack service. However, at some point, it becomes unacceptable. I have patronized Yerba Buena twice now, not one to judge on first appearances if I can help it, and both times Ive been disappointed by the lack of service here.

Food took 2 hours to come out. People that came after us, got their food first. Steak was asked to be cooked at “Medium” and was received as “Well Done.” Orders were messed up. Food was either somewhat warm or cold.Awful. Horrible service too.

8:30 reservation party of 4. Ordered around 8:45 but didnt get food until 10:40. Was told around 10 our order is next in the kitchen. Several others plates come out, but not our food. Waiter never returned after initial drink order. No water offered. Horrible horrible service. Several other tables complained. One group left. Wish we did. Octopus is good, steak is good. Salmon average to below. Cant recommend unless you want to order, take a 90 min. nap before eating.

Excellent service! Only had drinks but server was very friendly and atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. I could hear people around us raving about the food though

Had dinner here my last night in Puerto Rico. We got a table that rocks back and forth on the patio. It was nice to relax and enjoy the neighborhood

First time I was here, I was blown away by the food. That was about 3 years ago. The place hasnt changed since, but the food was middling compared to the other meals I enjoyed over the past couple weeks, and pretty pricey for what you get. Its quality Puerto Rican food to be sure, but considering how many choices there are locally, and how hard they push Bacardi, I dont think I can recommend.I mean, theres nothing wrong with Bacardi per se, but it definitely felt to me like a branded thing, and thats not really what one looks for when looking for a local spot.They get 4 stars for being an enjoyable place to have dinner and fantastic service.

Dinner on a Tuesday night. Appetizer, main course, dessert, and 3 drinks...$80. Not bad. Skirt steak was tender. Drinks were excellent. Guayaba cheesecake just regular cheesecake with a guyaba sauce. Staff was attentive.

Every Monday night they have a big- band playing Latin jazz. Its the best. Youll need reservations though. Food wise, its good but the kitchen can get overwhelmed, so get there at least an hour before showtime.

If I could give this place a zero I would. My family is here to support the local economy. We just placed an order by phone for the family and afterward they asked for my credit card number over the phone before they will begin making the order. As a banker I know this is a terrible idea, as someone would write down my card number and likely not protect it. Aside from that I am appalled they require upfront payment. You have to value your customers better than this. The person taking the order over the phone indicated the manager requires a credit card number by phone. That is a poor business practice for a restaurant. I guess they don’t need the business. Que lastima!

Overpriced. I paid 34 dollars for what you see on the photo. That did not include beer and tip. You are paying for location and ambience. The food is mediocre and certainly not worthwhile what I paid.

Management doesnt care about the poor service. Family of 11 came to eat and one got a hot meal. Whats that percentage less than 10% pretty much the gist of all the service here. Then to add insult to injury with 4 items removed the bill was 179.00 for a disaster. Your hurricane season will come early and often if you care to dine at this washup called a restaurant. BTW its a Cuban spot with no cubanos on the menu should have been my first warning.

I think if I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. It took one hour for our food to arrive. When it arrived it was cold and bland. I ordered the $12 chicken Caesar salad. I think I could have gotten something better at McDonalds or Burger King. The dressing was runny and tasted like fish. The greens were wilted and hot. The chicken tasted like it was from the frozen food aisle at Walmart. Do not waste your money on this restaurant. It is not worth it at all.

Horrible experience the manager was rude and the place its overpriced. If this is what Puerto Rico has to offer then it is not worth it. Please stay away from this place very rude people. The restaurant should be named YERBA MALA. They ruined my birthday.Manager was JanCarlos, bad manager, not looking out for the customer.

I went to eat and listen to the band but was turned away from a section of the bar outside the restaurant because there was a $15 cover. A $15 cover for a band that plays one set??? Dont get me wrong theyre good...but $15 for one set??? And its a Monday night!

We had reservations, waited 30 minutes to get seated then almost 90 minutes for food. Server was overwhelmed not enough help. We were over charged and took us another 40 minutes to get a corrected check. If looking for true Puerto-Rican food go somewhere else.

We visited Yerba Buena to celebrate our sons 34th Birthday we had 11 people in our party. Our "bad" experience started just before 7pm and end shortly 930pm what should of been a joyous event turned into the experience of a life time. The food took over 90 minutes to come out and when it did 7of the 11 food orders were wrong. The language barrier wasnthandled well by our waiter except when he became to combative hewanted to solve the issue "outside" management was justas bad because they never came to the table to offer resolution.Only after we wanted to pay our bill did he bother to talk to usand only then he gave his apologies and offered a $50 credit on a$1000.00 bill like no thanks. The Food was horrible, the servicewas worse and the Restaurant is small and over crowded I felt likewe were cows being led to slaughter. I do not recommend thisrestaurant for any occasion or event it would be a waste of your time and money.

This place is obviously connected to the Area resorts as it came Highly recommended. What a let down. Shoddy service at Best, poor quality of Food. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin and it tasted like Freezer burnt meat. The Mojitos were suppose to be originated at Yerba Buena they were the worse I have ever had on the island. I wouldnt waste my time or money there again.

Stopped in for some appies and drinks. The grilled octopus was super delicious!! With great Latin music and friendly bartender.

Great food! The yucca stuffed chicken with bacon and mofongo on the side was delicious. I had the coconut mojito while I waited, so tasty. Good service very friendly!

I totally love it I went to celebrate my 31st Birthday with my girls and it was an awsome experience. Life Cuban Music and Awsome personal. Food was amazing!100% Recomended

The people posting negative reviews about the food must have gone to a different restaurant; we had the skirt steak w/chimichurri and the bacon-wrapped Parmesan encrusted chicken. Both were phenomenal, as were their version of crab rangoons. My steak ended up being two pieces, each about a foot long and an inch thick - cooked perfectly. Ambience on outdoor patio was great. Hate to disagree with the haters, but this was outstanding Cuban food and a great experience.

Really friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the Empanaditas de ropa vieja with beef, black beans and rice. Seriously loved the black beans! My fiance ordered the Coconut shrimp with mofongo. The shrimp were big and cooked well. The mofongo was very flavorful. He absolutely loved this place and cant stop talking about the best mojito hes EVER had! I think its a strong 3☆ but he thinks its 4☆. Definitely, a good choice for dinner!

So good. The food is worth the wait. Friendly staff and heavy pourers in the vodka sodas great atmosphere too.

I feel ripped off by this place. I went with my girlfriend to dinner and we ordered two entrees and two water with lemon. The waters were charged $ 10. The first entree brought only 3 shrimp and a little fritters, 3 inch. The second one brought 4 little fritters, 2 inch. The bill was $40 for that. When we asked to speak with the manager he told us we could do nothing about it and told us it was an expensive area and why that came out. Beware of scammers! water with lemon tell as "virgin mojito" and that it will charge you.

The food was very good but extremely overpriced. I had the coconut shrimp with maduro. The shrimp were huge and had a great sauce, not too sweet. My wife had the churrasco with chimychurry . The steak was cooked well and had good flavor. We started with the pulpitos. It was A $100 check. A good one time splurge.

Stopped in for a cocktail the other night and had the Besito de Coco. Definitely one of my favorites now! The ambience is very relaxed, but sophisticated. Go on Friday nights when they have live music.
