Renowned park since 1872 is home to mountains, animals & the world's largest collection of geysers.
The geothermic aspects of this park are indeed fantastic, but the masses of tourists can wear you down. Definitely see the Grand Prismatic Spring and Old Faithful (when it goes off)! The film about the park in the Old Faithful Visitor Center was very interesting and informative.
We were at Yellowstone National Park it is beautiful place, lot of places to visit to enjoy pure air, oxygen, rivers and lot more. You can see in the video Bison mom crossing the river protecting her baby safe to the other side was great.
One of the most unique national parks Ive ever visited. It was amazing to see geysers, hot springs, canyons, waterfalls, alpine rivers, lush green forests, elk, bison, deer, and so much more all in one park. I highly recommend visiting.
Beautiful national park with extraordinary natural geysers, wildlife viewing, options for every member in the family to enjoy the national park activities. Multiple entrances for the HUGE national park. Well maintained national park by NPS. Please plan your visit. Amazing beauty only justice by seeing with our eyes in person.
Magnificent nature views and animals. You will find deers, grizzly bears, and American bison. Some of the views look like a drawing on a canvas by nature. The whole Yellowstone National park is basically a volcano. You can see the magma is solidified there and clearly visible. The main attraction of Yellowstone National park is its geysers. The color formed around the geysers are from micro bio organisms. Youll require at least four days to cover the main attractions in the park. It is basically divided into three regions. You can visit a region and it will take a whole day to complete that region. For the old faithful, you have to check the timing, it is activated at given times. If youre visiting from far away states then you can book a flight to Salt Lake City and drive from there, it is a 4-4:30 hours drive. It will reduce the cost greatly compared to direct flight. You can take tours as well like wolf and bear safari. You will see the Milky way in the night because there is low light pollution. Some of the main attractions are old faithful, grand prismatic spring, upper Yellowstone fall, mammoth hot spring, Hayden valley and Yellowstone lake.in Hayden valley, you will find wilderness and the drive there is a beautiful drive. There is a place from where you can see the grand prismatic spring from an elevation which looks beautiful. You can take a helicopter ride to see the geysers from the top view which looks magnificent .
We traveled to Old Faithful on our first day, stopping at the sights and completing one hike to a waterfall. The second day, we traveled the upper loop.Be sure to start a smidge early and finish up before dinner. Bring twice the socks you wouldnt normally bring to change out of them once youre done hiking. If you are not from a higher elevation, have a can of oxygen on hand -- altitude sickness can hit after a couple of days, and even the town outside the park are at 6500+ ft.There is generally no cell service. Download a map and music for your driving. Plan to extend any drive you take due to slower traffic or animals in the road.Overall, it wasnt too crowded the first week of October. It was much cooler in the mornings and evenings, warranting a jacket, but midday allowed for just long sleeved shirts. Many hikes are quite steep and not looped, so youll need to climb back up from most of the trails you climb down.Gas is outrageously priced both in the park and in the side towns. Most of the geyser areas smell of strong sulfur.Beautiful sights! Saw bison, elk, a coyote, ravens, and chipmunks.
Yellowstone is amazing. Lamar valley was closed while I was there so I guess Ill have to go back. The park has so much to offer, easy trails to advanced. The wildlife was everywhere, the scenery was spectacular. You can see mountains, valleys, plains, forests, and active geological areas that look alien. The visitor centers are worth a stop too.
Amazing and, with all the geological and natural diversity, its fascinating and beautiful. I camped at Grant Village, which was very nice and convenient - they had pay showers, a laundromat, a general store and a restaurant. If you want to avoid the crowds as much as possible, get an early start. There are also a number of hiking trails that will take you away from the crowds. Just always stay aware and alert - bears are everywhere.
Absolutely stunning! One of my favorite places on earth. Truly unique landscapes and wildlife. The whole entire park is very easily accessible to see everything. Please respect the land and have common sense, lots of people getting way too comfortable with bison and wildlife in general. Get bear spray, we had to use ours on a curious little black bear! Very memorable trip and we can’t wait to come back one day :)
Absolutely incredible park. We were blown away. We stayed in Grant Village Campground and it was beautiful. We saw plenty of wildlife including moose, bison, marmot, pika, and elk. We saw many fumaroles, paint pots, and geysers. Old Faithful was lovely. We can’t wait to come back. All of the park rangers were so helpful.
5 starts for the park itself. It’s a magical place with so many things to see. Definitely a bucket list place. Make sure you stay for a few days if you want to see everything. Camping sites require reservations, so make sure you take care of that in advance. A lot of people everywhere - yes. But coming is worth it. If you want to see wildlife - wake up early, or be on a lookout before sunset. If you’re not coming with a tour - HIGHLY recommend getting Gypsy guide app and a Yellowstone tour there. It’s only $15 but sooo helpful. You won’t regret it.Cons: we had our dog with us and the park is not dog friendly in a sense where you can’t take a dog on any trails or sightseeing.
Yellowstone is one of the very few national parks that isnt over hyped! Its truly such a unique place and it offers a glimpse into whats going on below your feet. The park is MASSIVE so youll want about 2 days to see the main sights, and then add on another day of exploring some of the lesser known areas if youre wanting to do some hiking and whatnot. The main attractions of the park are easily accessible by auto and most places have ample parking. But I strongly urge you to venture off of the road and see something new.
Its one of the best places I have ever visited. Wild life encounters, camping , fishing; in a nutshell its a paradise for nature lovers. But beware, not every water body is meant for swimming. Yellowstone is a natural wonder for sure. Look out for Grizzly s on the way to Tower Falls in the North Loop.
This is a great place to explore nature and learn about wildlife while hiking some memorable trails. The park is huge and highly recommend a few days to explore as much as possible. Great place to take pictures as well if youre a photographer.
Always love going to Yellowstone. I would suggest going in September when it is cooler though.Split the park into two days. If anything make sure you see old faithful, the grand prismatic springs, mammoth hot springs, and the lower falls on the east side. Also, Huckleberry is everywhere. Buy something safe like honey or preserves
Words can’t describe the amazing sights in this gem of a park! From Old Faithful to the Hot Springs to the Mud Volcano, the whole area is simply otherworldly! Add in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and all the wildlife and this park is simply awesome- every American should visit at least once!
A massive park full of wildlife and great views. Amazing place to photograph. Mild hikes to all of the geysers and mountain views with a few drive up over looks.
The most amazing National park of them all. The crown jewel, the Mac daddy, the unstoppable force of nature that keeps sending you one wild animal after the next. Coyotes, elk, moose and buffalo to name a few Ive seen in the brief times Ive passed through. What a magical land with the most beautiful sights to see. Sprawling mountains and lakes, geysers and hot springs, meadows of grazing buffalo, moose by the shore of streams... I could write an essay on this place and still not break the surface.
I am an absolute awe and in love with this place!!! Yellowstone National Park is so beautiful and vibrant! It was wonderful being able to see a bison, mountain mountain goats, deer, and elk! Gorgeous waterfalls and cool geysers - just wow!You need to "pack out what you bring in" and there are no garbage cans there as there is no garbage service.Yellowstone Lodge has a docent giving free tours of the Lodge telling the history of how it was built and what was happening in those times, very informative!
Very beautiful. The wildlife are use to people but keep your distance. Geysers are everywhere. We were able to go right in and find a camp site. Lots of hiking trails. You can rent a boat if dont bring your own. Plenty of gas stations and stores with anything you could need. My favorite area is the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. I could not believe how large the Gorge is and how beautiful the waterfall is. There are many waterfalls throughout the park. I enjoyed seeing the fields of many colors with flowers and grasses.
Absolutely breathtaking. This park was on the top of my list for the longest time. I was finally about to come out to Yellowstone last month and it was worth the drive from Alabama. The scenery is amazing, all the animals you see upclose is incredible and probably hard to do anywhere else besides petting zoos. I will definitely be going back in the future to do a more thorough run of the park. I also did the elephant back hike trail. I have done very hard trails before so to me this was an easy hike. Took me about 3 hours in and out moving at a pretty fast pace.
We drove from Minnesota to Yellowstone National Park (15 hours driveand it was worth it. The park is so beautiful. Those geysers blew my mind. The wild lives, the trees and the landscapes make the park so alive. Love everything about it! ❤️ The people there were so nice and they do an amazing job to keep the park clean and everyone safe 😇👏
This is a experience, words can not describe. Great place if you love nature . Grand prismatic the rainbow geyser is unbelievable. Same time it replay wonders to see so many small geyser. It’s still untouched and far from madding crowd.
Brought my two grandkids with me. Had the best time! The crowds were smaller than I thought so we got to see pretty much everything without feeling pressed. The gas was about 30-50 cents cheaper right by the park than the surrounding areas. The roads were in great shape and all facilities were very well kept. So worth the time and travel!
Its Yellowstone! What do you need to know?Yes, there were a lot of people, but it moves along just fine. Theres plenty of space to share. The scenery is beautiful, the drive is easy, and the wildlife is plentiful. Theres no shortage of things to do. Old Faithful is wonderful, of course, but take the time to discover your own side path.Such a treasure in this beautiful land.
So much to seeGreat for exploring if you have bear spray with you. There are several great hiking spots, or you can just drive and see the views. Look for the wildlife of bear, Buffalo, elk and small coyotes. Check out the paint pots, geysers, water falls and lakes.
Amazing. Mountain veiws were breathtaking. Geysers were stunning. There was so much wildlife. We saw bears, elk, bison right by the road, and eagles. So many places to stop on the way to things, including trails, informational signs, and lovely sights. The boiling mud was so interesting. The lake was beautiful, no complaints. 6 stars if I could. Would definitely go there again.
Lovely place and did bot disappoint with all the geothermal springs. We were lucky to catch the main eruption! Park is big and to go around in a car might take 2 hours and much more with stops. Lake is beautiful. We saw 🦬 on the road!Must visit!!!
Well its Yellowstone! It is a dream place for many, myself included. I really recommend the grand loop drive if you have a couple of days to visit. I went in through the West Yellowstone Entrance, which is very close to the Grand Prismatic and Old Faithful. There are so many things to see and explore!
The Most Magnificent place on Earth Ive seen!Beautiful, Wonderous, Magic and a Life Time Dream for me!If I can share one common sentiment from All those whom I got to talk and chat with in the park, Nearly ALL Said,They wished they had done it sooner andtheir lives would have been Profoundly Different had they witnessed the beauty of the park earlier in life.
So if you like wildlife then this is a great place to go. If you like to see some amazing beautiful from all the nature then again great. If you want a place for family hikes and easy walks great. But if you are looking for amazing hikes and treks they don’t have them. Well maybe they do in the north part but it was closed. Everything else was super crowded because everyone can just drive there and take a few steps. The crowds were crazy and with that they just care about themselves so they walk in front of you while taking pics cut you off and so on. Now the next day we got up and headed towards the grand canyon part of the park. Now we are there at sunrise so no one was there. We started at the lower viewing area of the falls and walked our way down to inspiration point. There is a nice and easy trail that you can walk on which was about 2 miles and it was so nice because I one else was walking. They all just drove to each point and well they missed some of the best views. Take the walk you will be happy you did. It is a must go but if you like great hiking then pic another park
Only the lower west side was open when we attended and only odd numbered license plates that day which made it really nice to have less people in the park. We did the whole lower west in 10hours. Lots to see lots to do. Cant wait to come back when flood repairs have completed
I was at Yellowstone before the flooding. It was as a wonderful experience. We saw about a quarter of the park in whole day. Beware the changes drastically very easy so go prepared for cold and hot same time. Love the geysers.
Fortunately, we visited Yellowstone National Park before the flood. All the attractions are worth your stop and enjoy, there are too many animals passing by the car, be sure to pay attention to safety! Captured baby bear and mother bear, a very cute family! Yellowstone Falls is amazing and very spectacular. The Grand Prism is also surprisingly good-looking!
We visited Yellowstone national park for three days and it is a beautiful well maintained national park with different things to explore and i believe anyone no matter what age will definitely love the national park. It has different geysers which one can explore and also one can see bison as well as different animals which are native to Yellowstone park. Dont forget to explore the beautiful areas of the park which includes grand prismatic springs, sapphire pool, artistic point, grand canyon of Yellowstone. There are different options of lodging as well as cafes through which one can get food options like sandwich, chips, coffee etc.
Yellowstone is worthy of all bucket list!! So much diversity in one national park!! According to me the top places of Yellowstone would be upper and mid geyser basin area!! Lamar valley is so beautiful and dream place for wildlife photography. Free moving bisons and other wildlife encounters are experiences to remember. One should try to stay inside the park to get the real feel of the park and to observe the beautiful night sky. Animals are mostly active during early morning and evening time.Yellowstone has most of all the active geyser in the world and this is something that everyone should experience once in their lifetime!!
Awesome place to go and see really cool geographic oddities you dont really see anywhere else. Also lots of wildlife. Pretty cold when we went so lots of steam on the pools and geysers.
Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. Its also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.
Yellowstone National Park is very beautiful park and full of wonders!!I It is located in the western United States, largely in the northwest corner of Wyoming and extending into Montana and Idaho. The total area is2,219,791 acres (8,983.18 km2)。Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful! You will see animals in the park easily . Pack your snacks and water, it’s a great self driving destination!
Amazing! The snow made everything even better. Up close with buffalo! Saw wolves, elk, big black bear, swans, fox, coyote and just missed a grizzly. Hope to go back. It was the off season so a lot of roads were closed inside. Old Faithful blowing while huge snowflakes were falling was a plus.
No words for this park .We went there in the recent April storm time .The park roads were scheduled to open in mid April .But the weather posed a threat to delay or even cancel the opening .But kudos to the park rangers who kept working continuously to enable us to visit the park from West Entrance on the scheduled open dateThe roads from West to Madison ,Madison to Old Faithful , Old Faithful to Mammoth Hot Springs & Norris to Grand Canyon were opened .It was a winter wonderland (definitely needed Snow Tires on cars.Drive through Lamar Valley was surreal .Plenty of Bison & Bison Jams in the park. In addition to Bison ,we saw Wolf,Deer, Elk .Old faithful erupted about 10 min late to what was written on nps websiteGrand Prismatic Spring was engulfed in snow storm
Yellowstone is a once in a lifetime place to go see, it is a place of wonder. walking around looking at all of the geysers and hot springs you tend to forget that you are actually walking/driving in a massive Volcano...its beautiful indeed
Im 41 years old and this was on my bucket list. Went in April 2021 with My Father which was also on his bucket list. He is 68 years old. Took our 6-month-old dog and had an absolute blast! 3 days is not enough but you can see most of the attractions. One day is definitely not enough. Recommend staying in West Yellowstone. We stayed at the Yellowstone Lodge. Pet friendly
We had a great time on a snow coach tour to old faithful, biscuit basin, and a few other stops. The temperature was -25 when we started and we were told it hit -38 at the old faithful visitor center overnight and they lost power. We saw buffalo/bison, coyote, and a lot of waterfowl. Lots of great photos and an enjoyable time. Make sure to check out more than just the most popular locations (old faithfulbecause a lot of our favorites were things wed never heard of before. It was quite cold but still very worthwhile.
I’ve been to 37 of the 64 National parks in the United States. I really enjoy tropical climates most. But I’ve got to give credit where it’s due. This place has to be the most amazing park I’ve ever visited, the views are breath taking. The wildlife is nothing short of incredible. I love this park. It is absolutely the best I’ve been too.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. First time and we went two days in a row. Had a blast even with only going on the north road. Saw tons of bison!Beginning of March, Mammoth hot springs, Yellowstone river
We took a 3 day snowmobile tour. It was awesome. Snowmobiles are not allowed off the roads, so the landscape looks untouched and beautiful. Eye opening to watch the bison root through the snow to find grass. Amazing thermals scattered over the park and the 1000 deep canyon with all the waterfalls was awesome.
Great place to visit. I flew in through Montana and it’s a wonderful city. I suggest renting a RV to navigate through the park. I drove a rental and had to back track every day to see all the amazing sites. The west entrance was the best!
Amazing trip. Great place to explore nature and have family time. Animals, camping, hiking and crazy nature to see. Went in the summer and it was crowded. But it was worth it. Beautiful park, great park Rangers cold lakes, majestic rivers and waterfalls.. we will definitely be back. The park will take a couple days or more if you want ro see everything. Definitely see old faithful and the paint pots. I imagine winter is beautiful here too, will be trying that soon.
I dont know where to start reviewing this place. It is a sight to see. You cant get enough of the scenery here. Everything about this place is heaven like to me. I am a lover of nature and this to me is IT. If you want to take magazine like pictures of nature, this is the place. Nature itself will make you look like a pro when taking photos. You will need more than a day or two to visit this place. Make your reservation way ahead of time if you want to camp here. You want close encounter with animals, you got it. Come here. There is so much I want to say about this place but all I can say you have to come to see what I mean.
