Lively tavern draws a crowd with budget drinks & bar bites, including wings & weekend breakfast.
I wanted to try this place after reading the great reviews. I saw $ which is supposed to mean "affordable" accordingto Google. 16.00 burgers....12.00 fries...17.00 wings?? Even Postmates and Grubhub says its $$$. Its described as a sports bar, not fine dining? Be honest and change that. Even $$ denotes moderately priced between $10 and $25. I didnt even look at the cost of alcohol.😶
Not the biggest menu of beers & alternatives, Ranch needs salt and the fries could be less soggy but let’s be honest, we’re there for the wings! Outdoor patio in back / side. Well behaved dogs welcome.
The wings here are amazing. Get them extra crispy.Great dive bar. Wonderful people. No notes.
lol dont come here. they dont have menus and if your phone is dead they basically tell you you’re out of luck and can’t get access to what they serve
Used to come here a lot back in the day. Now, I spend most of my time in Europe. I’m back for a visit and missing my dive bars. What’s special about this particular visit is that Josh is the bartender. Josh is a five-star bartender, loving working without the pretension.I am vodka dirty martini drinker. What started my order out was my desire for something more briney. I gave him carte blanche and he put a little pickle juice in my martini, much to my delight.Ye rustic Inn used to be one of my favorite dive bars because of all the fun activities they would have there and that i lived close by. Now, they have a great outdoor patio area and I’m so happy that they survived the pandemic, Josh in tow.If you’re needing a respite from the sometimes pretension surrounding the Los Feliz area bars; ye rustic Inn takes the cake.
Your ideal corner bar, local vibes, with bud on tap. Now the food is where things go bonkers, their wings are crazy, the perfect hot wings, they’re made to your liking but get them crispy, hot and with ranch. Absolutely delicious wings, get them extra crispy with extra sauce if you want, heck I’ve gone twice in one week!
Was here 7 pm Wed/29 June. Had an 8 pm Greek Theater show to attend so i walked to Los Feliz for booze and dinner. Fish & Chips here was ok, huge portion. Happy hour here until 7 pm with $7 mojito which was good.
I was long time customer here, love the wings. Unfortunately it seems the restaurant has resorted to scamming their customers. First restaurant I’ve been to in the US that will charge refills for Coke (at $4!!!!!). It’s one thing that they charge for refills, it’s a completely separate issue that no one made me aware of this until the bill came. Especially since I was driving and opted to not drink alcohol. Many bars will give you soft drinks for free in this scenario, not that I have a problem with paying for a coke, more simply I wish I had been told that refills would be $4 before my drink was refilled. In short, this place will scam it’s customers, and it is not worth the delicious wings to eat here.
Plenty of parking, seating inside and out, great staff and good variety of beers
Delayed my order for two sandwiches by half an hour then cancelled it a half an hour after that. Super cool, definitely screwed up my dinner break. Wont order again.
The 1 star is for the Rudest girl Bartender Ive met in my life. My girl friend came in with her service dog which she had recovered from a brain aneursym and a stroke. She looks amazing so you cant tell her condition. She was immediately turned away which she tried to explain her situation and her rights the bartender said ok. But was treated completely different after that. Long story short her dog is older and felt sick which she wasnt aware of. Once she did she cleaned it up with the help of a guy worker who was totally understanding. She apologized and immediately the bartender asked her and her guest to leave. She still did not get the tab so she was waiting for, so she can pay her bill. The Bartender then turned on the lights and turned off the music and told the bar what was going on. None of the guests knew her condition but they all proceeded to verbally attack her. Which was overwhelming and WRONG!!! She was upset and told the bartender she needed to pay. The bartender said to not worry about it and to GET OUT. The bar started to clap as she was walking out. This is complete DISCRIMINATION AND WRONG. The bartender should be fired for doing this to a person and customer.
A bar with a full restaurant attached. They are a very well-known destination that is given props for their quality hot wings. You wanna drink and have some wings with your buddies in Los Feliz? This is your best option, and its a good one.
“Dive Inn”💚🍻Ye Rustic Inn checks all “dive bar” boxes. 1. Authentic 2. It’s dark (in more ways than one3. Bartenders with personality and character 4. Local regulars 5. Food, and yes, their wings are the best I’ve had in LA, or anywhere else for tbt hat matter! 6. Old school, simple, classic drinks. 7. It’s “Rustic” 8. Just an over all, unpretentious great vibe. Felt more like being in New Orleans than LA. Love it!
I would love to try their drinks and food, but after 30+ minutes of waiting (and confirming with the bartender that we would be served at our table outside), the waitress only helped nearby tables (one of which complained about their own waitbut didn’t even look at us so we left.Let me give you my money!
Wings here are so good, they make most people consider quitting your job + marriage to join the circus.
Came in on a busy sunday. Laura was our server. She was slammed but took it like a champ. Our order times were quick and faster than a usual sunday packed and full bar Wings were delicous. I will defintely go back and hope she is our server again because you usually dont get that kind of service in a packed bar.
I love this dive bar. There’s a cool but unpretentious clientele. Every time I’m here the whole place is bouncy and full of laughter. There’s a nice side patio area where you can smoke and sit outside. I definitely like to hang out here anytime I’m in Los Feliz.
Very good big meaty wings. $26 for 18 pieces so not cheap but definitely good. The celery and carrots sticks were much better than normal, not sure what the secret is. The blue cheese sauce has chunks of blue cheese. “Hot” was just right for me (and I love “Thai-spicy”). Service was great and so was the music, wide selection from Disco to classic rock to newer songs. I’ll definitely go back if I’m in the area and in the mood for wings
It’s an unpretentious dive bar that never makes you wait or has any other silliness. Good drinks, attentive bartenders and good (unhealthyfood.
If you havent ordered extra crispy buffalo wings from Ye Rustic Inn your LA check list is not complete. Outstanding.
Host/ server didnt do her job. Bartenders were great. But we didnt get to eat because the server was busy talking to guests and dancing around. We had to get her attention multiple times before she actually asked if we needed anything which was followed by, "oh no the kitchen just closed"😑
Exactly what you want sometimes. Service was attentive and kind with no frills or useless chatter, which is a great change in the area. True, prices are a little higher for some items but you’re in a pricier area. Also the jukebox system seems a bit wonky with people’s requests.Sat near the kitchen and had no problems - nice energy. Wings are very good. Seems like some negative reviews are from people who went in pretty late with a weird group, with different expectations, or from diehard fans who take things personally.
I have never experienced a bar with so many rules. I ordered a moscow mule which tasted like vodka with a hint of lemon in it. I couldn’t drink it. The food is super expensive & misleading. We were confused as to why the quesadilla was $17 but advertised on the menu as cheaper, and I guess the new menu wasn’t updated and only found out as we were paying. Also I really didn’t like that everything is done by hand & they have no POS because I was with a group of ladies & it makes it really difficult to know what the bill really was. Also I paid $10 to play music, they played a couple of my songs before turning it off & playing metal which is fine but kind of rude.I really did not have a good time. And to add, the blue haired bar tender was rude to me as I was confused as to the rules about seating & ordering. My server said she wasn’t rude but the bar tender was so rude about me trying to order from her. We were waiting forever to get a server and I figured I could order more quickly up front but I guess we aren’t allowed? SO MANY RULES!My server did not believe my ID was my ID which is annoying because she looked at it a bunch of times, it’s obviously real - I don’t even think I look that young but I pressed by her & it made me uncomfortable. Like didn’t believe I was 28 - didn’t believe me when I said I have a 6 year old daughter back home. She seemed judgmental & only came to be nice about it when she was giving us our bill. “Lol I’ve seen so many good fakes,” but not apologizing for making me uncomfortable & it only made me feel like she was trying to save her tip at the end.
We waited for more than 45 min and besides that I saw how they sat other people that arrived after us on a table for 4 with 2 of them. Please don’t tell me it’s because of COVID, I saw how the 4 people that where there before left and did this to me. I left honestly and the hostess needs help, with her voice and with her hands. She can’t do everything for all, organise yourself people!I never ever review but they got of my nerve this time, worst experience.
What a great dining experience!! I came here the other day and I absolutely loved my food and my waitress was so sweet and very good! All in all a top notch experienceI wish I wouldve gotten my servers name, it was actually her first day and she was so freaking good! If she didnt tell me, I never wouldve guessed. And at one point almost every table filled up and she was totally alone but its amazing how she kept her composure and kept every single table happy! Also the food, I got just a classic hamburger and fries and omg was it good!! Its actually so easy to mess up a burger because restaurants try and get fancy and use all these aolis and super thick meat patties (but unless this is a steak house or a place that specializes in meat, they shouldnt do that)What really got me so excited and happy is when I could smell my burger cooking, even from my table I could tell they were char grilling it! It smelled like the most delicious bbq and Im not sure if they use fresh ingredients in all their dishes but I could tell they did in the burgers! The smell coming from the cooking was reminding me of Carls Jr. way back in the day (Im talking 20 years ago, if you remember those times youll know what Im talking about!)If I was this place I would reconsider revising my menu In N Out style and doing just old school classic burgers. The customers would be obsessed with these burgers and they would save an exponential amount of money in the kitchen lololBut anyways this is definitely a fun casual place if you want to just chill for the day, I will say that its not the prettiest but they cant help how the parking lot looks. But thankfully they are doing limited seating indoors so theres thatVery great place for sure!
Great wings. What’s unfortunate is their care with Postmates and DoorDash. I think on three separate occasions my order has been lost completely and my drivers have stood around waiting for over an hour until they can’t bear it anymore. Staff doesn’t give them information and they seem apathetic when I call, “Yeah, I don’t know what to tell you, we’re just really busy right now.” Some of those times I don’t even get my food at all. It’s just inconsiderate. If you can’t keep up with delivery, don’t offer it.
WINGS WINGS WINGS. Its an institution. Never go to rustic without ordering the wings, dont be a dumdum, the wings are famous for a reason. Its a dive-bar-no-windows-time-portal fueled by wings and beer. If thats you jam, this is one of the best. Staff are friendly.
Slow, $30 chicken Caesar that looked like a side salad, waitress wouldnt separate tabs and we were compelled to pay cash, I only had a $50 bill, guessed who paid the Lions share? In her defense, there was a new cook but Ill never go back to that dump.
This place has the best true buffalo wings in LA. Yes, carrots and celery, and yes blue cheese! Order extra crispy and as hot as you would like. The only sad thing about the Inn is that there is huge staff turnover. To me that means something is wrong at the management level. Hence the 4 stars.
Not so good. I tried ordering TO GO and The waiter said they don’t take orders for take out lol on a pandemic ? She said you can only eat there.I couldn’t believe it so I showed up, and the first thing it saw was CASH ONLY ..... like bro 2021...... not a good night. I just want some wings.
This is my first time ever posting on here: we’ve gone into this establishment 3 times and have never been waited on. The bar is always full which undoubtably means they have good food and I do not doubt that in the slightest. Tonight, the tables were pretty empty so we felt lucky: my husband and I both work service industry so totally understand what it’s like. We were seated by the host who said our server would be right with us. We watched the waitress check her phone four or five times while it was charging and in 15 minutes she never came to us. For the third time, we left without being served. Was super excited about their food but will not be returning.
I came here with someone a while ago and yes they have great wings. Great sports dive with good food too. I love the snacks and appetizers here. I would come back, but probably wont for a while since there is drama between that guy and girl.
Strong drinks Great food Nice people and they play allll the games if you love sports
A great neighborhood bar with a lively vibe. Very friendly and attentive wait staff. Multiple screens showing variety of sports from football to tennis. Be sure to order the chicken wings as they come six to a plate and make a great complement to whatever you are drinking.
My New Favorite Hollywood Dive Barwith a Free Bloody Mary with Weekend Brunch !
Nice hole in the wall with screens everywhere, great specials and to-die-for wings (order them crispy for extra deliciousnessOur server really took care of us throughout the night. Most definitely one of my favorite pubs in LA...P.S. My one regret, went here for their movie night, they showed Blue Velvet and I didnt drink Heineken...
Honestly I had heard they have the best wings in town. I put them to the test, and they were delightful. I ordered them hot with blue cheese, and they were perfectly cooked, juicy, and a dream come true. Apparently you can order them crispy or extra crispy, which I presume means they stay in the fryer longer? I cant wait to get more of these sweet sweet wingy. (Not a typo)
My first haunt in Los Angeles. Still beautifully dank and dark. Still beautifully unpretentious. Im sort of in love with Kim the bartender.
I love this local dive. The chicken wings are amazing! Plus bartender Kim always makes you feel welcome, and like family. Love the jukebox full of tunes, and the various themes nights like bingo, etc. Always a good time
It’s been very interesting experiencing a local bar like this! Had a good night here! And the breakfast burrito was delicious!!
Amazing! So much fun and decent menu, but most importantly, the crowd is fantastic! I had so much fun here and the bar tenders were really great. Waitresses were a tad neglectful, but its a frikken bar, so who cares... As long as I got my food!
My favorite bar in LA. Best wings ever, great atmosphere. Been going there since I turned 21, and while the staff changed over the last 8 years, their great attitude hasnt. I grew up down the street and its been there as long as I can remember! Must be for a reason, right? Oh, you probably just heard about it on Best Bars in America, you tourist.
Stopped in for a quick late night snack as my husband and friends love chicken wings and they are known to have the best! The wings exceeded their expectations and Courtney our server was so friendly and accommodating! She made our first visit there extra special! Would definitely go there again!
I think that it is very cool that this place is still around. I went here, for the first time, with friends for drinks & appetizers after a Dodger game a couple of weeks ago. Its a fairly decent-sized place, so there were some good options of where to sit. We chose a booth in the back for the 4 of us. The waitress was very attentive, & quick. The chips, guacamole and salsa all seemed freshly made, which was great! The only complaint that I had was that, while we were there, the womens restroom was out of order, so we had to use the mens restroom. Then, on top of that issue, the mens restroom didnt have a lock on the door! That was tacky.
The wings were nice and crispy. I recommend ordering the "hot" wings and then getting the Suicide sauce on the side just in case you cant take it. I came here twice for these already and I would come here again :)
Came in for drinks to catch up with my brother and had a great experience here! Had a few beers, chips, chicken strips, and zucchini sticks. The appetizers were prepared excellently and complimented the beer well. The music and ambiance were also excellent for bar conversations and I will definitely be back.
Wednesday night Bingo! And tasty wings! Dive bar feeling with okay bar prices. I guess bingo isnt for hipsters, cause it was the expected dive bar crowd (Males of all ages). Local watering hole.Wings - option of regular, crispy or extra crispy (5, 12 or 18 pieces). Waitress suggested crispy. Spicy hot was decently spicy (I probably can not handle the next level suicide spicy). It comes with celery, carrot sticks, and ranch/blue cheese dipping.Lots of booth seating with the usual bar stool seating. Private 1 stall separated restrooms.Parking: Plenty in the private lot.Waitress: She was great! Kept on checking on us. May we just sat in an easily approachable booth, smack in the middle across from the bar.
Went here with my girlfriend for a simple dinner. We ordered an appetizer and two dinner plates, but it all came out at once. Sauces with the appetizer were not what we ordered, and the food was average at best. If youre looking for a simple place to have drinks, Im sure this place is great, but I wouldnt suggest stopping in if youre looking to have a decent meal with quality service.
Drinks are strong (goodbeer is cold and the hot wings really are the best in L.A. with that being said there is nothing stoping me from coming a few days a week maybe more. The service is great as long as you dont need to be pampered and have someone holding your hand while ordering because those girls have other tables to deal with.
If you like quality dive bars, Ye Rustic Inn should be a priority. Its dark inside and has christmas lights up all year round. The booze is cheap and theres actually a pretty decent selection to choose from. The buffalo wings are really good and Ive heard from friends that even the tuna melt is tasty. Its a fun time with welcoming bartenders and a warm crowd. Tuesdays are karaoke night so depending on who you are beware/enjoy!
