Beautiful drive through the forest.
beautiful drive through this lush rain forest excellent clean BBQ and toilets at pines picnic area all ways check rd conditions
Love this forest! Walked for hours along the riverbed. Beautiful red crayfish and some of the best strangler fig covered trees I’ve seen! Come prepared for the little 🦟
Graded dirt roads to the lookout with its spectacular views of the Mid North Coast (Stuarts Point, South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head)! ☀️
Lovely drive through national parks and beautiful views
Amazingly awesome to see gigantic trees that havnt been chopped down or burnt
Stunning place! Great facilities at all veiw points.Seems like a an undiscovered treasure of rain forest and stunning river areas
Great short walk through a rain forest. Birds, snakes and other wild life.
Beautiful and peaceful spot for a family Bbq and forest walk..
Beautiful viewsGreat parkQuite and relaxing
Great drive through experience, with great picnic spot and lookouts. Walks are limited.
Beautiful view of coastline from Stuarts Point to Hat Head, including upper Macleay mountains. Yarrahappini mountain so worth the view
Great view
Unfortunately was wet and windy when we visited otherwise fantastic view of coast. Enjoyed off road driving on Donohoes track.
Beautiful National Park!
Perfect spot for a couple hours driving. Beautiful picnic area. Bring mosquito repellent!
Didnt even know this place existed until this past weekend. What an amazing view overlooking South West Rocks. Went to the top and ate mangoes wth the kids, a wonderful day for some 4x4 driving and some friends biked the whole trail all the way to Scotts Head. If you are in the area, check this view out for sure.
Great drive and nice bbq area
Great drive, best with 4wd but normal car with reasonable clearance will be o.k. in the dry.
Great lookout. You can see for miles. The pines picnic area very well det up....
Excellent view from lookout
We drove into the national park from the entry point at Grassy Head, and exited about three hours later at the western side near the Pacific Highway. All roads inside the park are unsealed. It was a slow 12km drive from Grassy Head to the main lookout. The views from the south, over the Macleay Valley are stunning. It is quicker to get to the main lookout via the Pacific Highway entry from Warrell Creek, just south of Macksville. If you make it all the way to the lookout, we recommend that you drive or walk from the extra 800 metres main lookout around to the transmission masts - youll see witness some more excellent views of the south-west from this point - it is also the trig point for the region....youll come across that trig station when you visit there. There is a very short walk near the Pines Picnic Area - worth getting out of the car and going for the walk. The whole park is well sign posted. Mobile phone coverage is poor inside the park - but it is excellent up at the lookout because most of the areas mobile phone transmitters are located nearby.
Beautiful place best with 4wd but can be done with larger cars
BBQ and Views are great
Magnificent view up steep dirt road
Road good scenery truly amazing
Very relaxing and clean
Beautiful
I have seen the ice on the Antarctica, this was too gorgeous enough to stand tall.
Very enjoyable. Lovely slow drive through the bush. Great views from the top.
Great 4WD trails
Really good 4wd and great views
Such a peaceful way to spend an afternoon.
The picnic area among the flooded gums is beautiful. But beware of leeches in the surrounding area.
Undiscovered hidden rainforest with huge trees
A favourite place of mine. Great drive in and out, quiet, peaceful. The Riverside nature walk had been recently upgraded. Great picnic area with free bbq. Be prepared for lots of mossies.
Always a great place to visit. Neat and tidy and friendly staff. Fantastic views.
Awsome views. Easy forest drive with posting on the trees on what species they were.
Great park, walks in rainforest, no weeds, was State Forest until 20yr ago. Very well maintained by Parks staff.
Amazing view of the Macleay Valley and a beautiful picnic area
Great but road is about hairy in a two wheel drive
Beautiful park, stunning view from lookout, but beware, some of the trail roads pretty rough. Avoid Boundary Trail at all costs.... steep descents and ascents will be too much for all but the most powerful 4x4s in wrong conditions
Grassy Heads Beach is one of the best!
Great national park with some stunning spots. Some of the roads are pretty rough but most of the roads are easily accessible in a 2WD
You get lovly view on a clear day.
Great walking tracks.
Lovely picnic area 4K in from Scotts Head Road
Beautiful environment roads narrow and some of the speedhump like things to drain water of the road were a bit large for our car would recommend that you use a 4wd but well worth it.
Nature at its finest. Pristine forest with running water. Makes you feel like you have been touched by natures beauty
Beautiful forest great scenery.
