Yanchep Koala Boardwalk - Tourist attraction in Mandurah, Australia
Well set up for tourists
My uncle there we have lunch there beautiful day there was love it Celine xxxx ππππ¦ πΎπ π€©π fabulous day
Good experience, saw the koalas, so cute.
Bizarre "nature reserve" that features hotels and restaurants, with 3 koalas captive in a small treed area. The wildflower garden and walk around the lake are redeeming features.
Pleasant walk. Sad to see the koala population has reduced. There were only three left as opposed to 10 I saw here previously.
Really nice national parkland. Koalas are predictably cute too hahah
Koalas looked quite content in their enclosure. No tickets needed to enjoy this walk
We went as a family and enjoyed the area, the grounds were beautiful the trees and flowers out standing. We saw a Koala bear and a Kangaroo.
A very relaxed walk in Yanchep where u get to see animals like koalas, kangaroo etc around the park.Thou I didnt see any staff around, I believed that these animals are well taken care of. I see a donation box near the Koalas sanctuary. You can actually picnic here. I hope we could do that the next time we come back :)
Great opportunity to see koalas close up and in a very spacious area.
Great place to see some βwildβ koalas andkangaroos. The lake is beautiful . Entry ticket $15 can be used to visit pinnacles in the same day.
Well maintained facilities, good eating spots, family friendly, and beautiful lake views for a romantic picnic! Youll see plenty of kangaroos here! That was easily the highlight for me! The koala broad walk was another highlight for me. Sadly, we reached there in the afternoon and couldnt explore the caverns! Would definitely visit again!
Great to get close and personal with these awesome marsupials.
Great be relatively close to the Koalas. Lovely open habitat
Great place to stop here for a beautiful afternoonEntry fee is only $15 for one car, can see lots koalas π¨ here
Excellent, lovely to see Koalas up close. Calming and pleasant walk around the gum trees.
Always nice to see what the koalas are up to. Best to go early or late since they are active at night
Do not miss this shirt walk to spot koalas in their life habitat. We could see 2 males and 2 females. One male was awake and eating in front of us.
There is so much to do at Yanchep National Park. From the Koala board walk, Crystal Cave, the Indigenous Cultural events to a stroll around the park. Just a serene place to chill
Peacefull and clean surrounds, walking trails, plenty of run around spaces. A pleasure to visit every time.
We saw about 8 koalas. They are really cute and look good. But the National Park itself doesnt look like usual Australian National Parks. The Koalas are in an enclosure. There is a fenced park. Lots of attractions you have to pay for, like the visit of the cave. I was a bit disappointed. But it is still a good place to go for a picnic and a walk in the bush...
Despite this broadwalk is actually an enclosure area, this is a great place for us to see these cute koalas π¨ without disturbing their habitat. We found about 7 of them on the trees, believe there could be more. Most of them are enjoying their naps, only one was moving slowly to another tree. Did I mention you can see the kangaroos here too? There were about 3-4 inside here, you can really see theπ¦ up close. This broadwalk is the most popular attractions inside Yanchep National Park, yet its quiet and clean. We enjoyed our time here.
The web pages i had looked at mislead me to believe it was a boardwalk through an area in the national park that had wild koalas. We didnt know you paid to get into the park or that it had other paid things to do.It is great for familys to go for picnics and walks and make a day of it. Beautiful location.
We took our 5yr old granddaughter, and had a great time finding & counting all the koalas. 5 in total that day. She loves animals & with seeing kangaroos, birds, baby tiger snake (in the wall by viewing platform on the lake& a beehive in a tree near chocolate drops it was a great day out.
One of the only places to see Koalas in Perth in the wild. A beautiful place for families to have a picnic or stay overnight at the accommodation on the grounds.
Not many people today but saw all 7 koalas, place is delightful, plus kangaroos, one with a joey in the pouch
Took some photos of koalas. Cute
One of the best places in Australia to see koalas close up
Driving from Moore River back to Perth. Stopped here to stretch our legs. Glad we did. There are also picnic and BBQ facilities by the lake. Simply beautiful.
Easy to see these cute koalas along the boardwalk and there were many of them!
This place is well worth the $15 park entry fees. The Koala boardwalk is free admission.
Quite lucky to see two lovely koalas right before it went dark. They were hiding in the tree shyly but quite adorable!
The koalas were super cute! They were just sleeping up in the trees. Itβs just a super small area, wish it was bigger with more koalas but oh well. The walkway is really nice. Lots of kids about this time of year. The park entry fee of $15 was a bit much just to visit the koala boardwalk but I guess it was worth it!
Such a beautiful place. With full facilities. Would recommend a visit for any age group.
Great experience. Got a chance to see kangaroo, parrots, different types of birds. Kids liked it a lot. Full of greenery and the facilities are in all corners. I have a person in a wheelchair and didnt face any difficulty in moving around or using the facilities
Peaceful. Theres koalas and kangaroos there too.
Great place to come to with the family and get a glimpse of the Koalas
Had a great time here, went for a walk around the lake, saw a water rat almost run up my partners leg, that alone made the trip worth it.. went just before lunch which made for some good opportunity to take pictures of the resting kangaroos
What a truly unique opportunity to see these cuddly little guys. The park is well set out and an absolutely fantastic opportunity to take short or long hikes or just relax and play with the kids in beautiful surroundings. Loads to do including zip line and winter boating. Camping π is available and accommodation also. π Please be aware you will need at minimum for all hikes runners/joggers or hiking boots. Will need a good couple of days to see all this national park. Definitely will return. Naomi at the gate was extremely informative about all the activities for the park. The Cafe shop is wonderful and good variety of meals and the information house although nearly 100 yrs old was fantastic this is where you let staff know if your going on the longer hikes for safety. π
Good day was lucky to see some eat and mum and baby up in the tree. Part of the National park $13 per car to enter the National park then its free to do the Koala Boardwalk.
Its awesome to see koalas just few inch in front of or above you. I only see three koalas as mostly they live on top of the trees. Cant touch them though, but still worth to visit
Very nice place to visit. The boardwalk allows visitors to spot the live Koalas. This is a open air koalas habitat. You can see them at the top of the tree resting, eating. Koalas are also provided with leaves near the boardwalk, you can observe and take closer pictures.Highly recommended.
Beautiful park with loads of Koalas and Kangroos to be spotted. Really beautiful place to bring picnic and enjoy by the water. They also had a cafe available if you feel a bit peckish. If you planning to visit the Crystal cave which was just amazing, you wud book the tickets at the visitors centre located in this park.
Super cool place that you can see Koala is open and also kangaroo roaming around.
Loved being here. Lots of birds around and the koalas really active. Saw a splendid fairy wren up close
So lucky two of them were awake (they sleep 20 hours a daySo I had a great time looking at them.
Love walking the Koala Boardwalk and trying to find the Koalas. Some days they are easier to find than others.
.Situated within the Yanchep National Park the Yanchep Koala Park home to a number of Koalas living in the open. We took some time and spent a worthwhile afternoon with them. The park ranger is informative and patient. the Koalas are too cute. Well worth a visit - 360 photograph
Koalas were very cute, even though they were all sleeping on the branches of high trees.
The entrance of the koala boardwalk is hard to find. Next to the car park near to the inn. There are just few koalas transferred from the Perth Zoo.Vehicle entry fee to the Yenchep National Park is $13 per day. You can keep the receipt and go to Numburg National Park for Pinnacles Desert in the same day for free too!
