Yamazato Cabarete in Salcedo

The food is really delicious, tasty and fresh, no doubt it is a good place if you are a fan of sushi food.4 stars because, first it is a bit expensive in my opinion, second because we can’t access the inside space with AC (apparently reserved only for the staff), and third the outside space is too hot (who wants to eat sushi when it’s 40 degrees with air??)

Great service and delicious food. Best sushi in Cabarete, it was so good we had to come back the next day to suffice our cravings.

Good food and inexpensive

Consistent good food from one of the few Asian restaurants on North Coast. Sushi is always fresh and tasty. For the price you cannot beat their lunch specials. Good stuff.

Great food and excellent service! We ordered the chicken pad Thai and the beef teryaki, which were both amazing, a welcome change of diet after the generally fried food the dominicans eat. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend

Food is great but 1 star because they only take cash. This is unacceptable in 2022. Very inconvenient for a tourist area.

We found this place at the end of our stay in Cabarete, what meant that I could enjoy its tasty sushi and other fish delights only once. I do like good food and in Cabarete its not a problem, but sometimes I need the portions to still my hunger ,after a day full of sport, to be a bit bigger. Fresh fish, a lot of variations, big portions, nice serving. Not a problem for me, but the tables are basically on a parking lots, facing the main road, what makes it a bit noisier. To balance it out, the prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly.

Sushi rolls are pretty bland and uninteresting both in flavor and creativity. Slow service. No desire to go back.

Absolutely brilliant. Was so excited to have sushi like back home in Canada and was not disappointed. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Me my fiance and her girlfriend had dinner here tonight service was good but my fiance and her girlfriend are sick as a dog now that was a little over 3 hours ago I dont know if it was food poisoning or not

Fast service. We did not have to wait a lot to get the food. We were a group of people and it was fast. The portions were satisfying. I will go back.

Food took forever, my friend already finished his plate for 30min when mine finally arrived.Very close to the main road, therefore loud.Sushi was ok, but had much better. Expensive.

They advertise delivery but refuse to deliver to almost all the locations outside of Cabarete. Extremely inconvenient for the clients.

Great sushi. My husband had the shrimp fried rice which was amazing as well. Wouldve never expected it from this small, hidden location. Loved it. Would definitely recommend.

Not bad I liked this place but recognize you cant get top quality sushi everywhere but it was nonetheless delicious. I also got the chicken fried rice and found it very good as well

Bento box for lunch during the week is a cheap and tasty option. I love fish tempura with a sauce in it.Regular rolls and nigiri are also worth the price. Staff is always friendly and service is fast.

Absolutely the best sushi on the North Coast. The fish is fresh and tasty, and the rice is done to perfection. Cozy seating inside, but they have a generous outdoor patio. Food comes out very quick. The rolls arent done too tightly, nor do they fall apart.

A very good Japanese restaurant. Been here a few times. Love the food here. Everything here is good. Love the sushi here. Prices here are from reasonable to a little over prices. For lunch it a steal. It was 385 with tax Dom Rep peso ( 11$ CAD or 7.60$ USD ). In that you get a full course meal. A miso soup and your meal. Just the soup is head or tails. Some days it tastes perfect and other times it tastes too salty. Besides that small thing it a great place to eat. Would definitely come back here again.
