Japanese dishes taken from the belt or ordered from the open kitchen at a colourful chain eatery.
Great food, great experience. Really wasnt expecting the loud announcements on the speakers but I guess its part of the experience to give you something more to remember. Good service, we got a tasty recommendation so I was pleased.Ordered a selection of items:Coriander Seared Tuna Sashimi- let me just say this was the highlight of my day; surpassingly delicious. The freshness of the tuna, I could almost taste the subtropical waters from whence it spawned.Chicken fried rice- the one thing that stood out here was the absolute lack of seasoning. Apparently, this was a grilled chicken I thought Id ordered the vegetable option.Chicken Yakisoba- you can immediately tell that effort was put into the grilled chicken thighs which is then supplemented by the tanginess of the sauce. An overall perfect balance of simple flavours.Popcorn shrimp- interesting flavours here but the shiro miso was a tad overpowering after the fourth bite (unlike me, my date loved this one).Korean fried chicken- you simply just cannot go wrong with this; always order.Spicy pepper squid- the tasty recommendationAnd finally, an Asahi beer for that crisp finish.I plan to go back to further explore the culinary delight that is the menu.
Not tried Sushi before. They are well aware that there are plenty of people like me, and are brilliant at introducing you to it.Frankly my previous impression had been rice and raw fish; not my cup of tea.But this restaurant exploded all that.Im vegetarian, and they had plenty of delicious dishes, and interesting and different drinks too.Very slick. Very professional. Very tasty.Good job!Ill definitely go back.
Cannot fault the food or staff. First time trying sushi and they do a good range of dishes at reasonable prices.
£17 for 7 sushi rolls and no staff interaction, apart from a look (no wordswhen I wanted to pay.Yo Sushi used to be great, but now it seems over-priced & staff dont really know about customer service...been like this for a while now. Such a shame! Also no toilet "its not working...". Even more reason to avoid!!!Went to Carluccios in the same balcony area in Waterloo and got great service 👍
Very good place to hide from overall mess of the station, located in a corner far away from noise on first floor of the station. May not be easy to find because of this reason but not impossible. Customers are approached immediately after they enter premises giving a feeling that you are welcome here. Quality of the food is good, service quick. Downside as usual for this kind of places - you will not see cheaper end of sushi sets approaching you, although they are in menu.
Food was really lovely but sometimes the servers arent so attentive, however, Id say for the most part, they are. I still recommend for a great meal. The mochi is AMAZING.
Lovely and quick, efficient staff with delicious food. Highly recommend their beef teriyaki (served hotor if your in the mood for a cold dish their wide yummy carefully selected range of sushi wont disappoint! Foods fresh and prepped right in view.
Nice clean restaurant on the upper level. Friendly and helpful staff. Taste and quality of the food was ok. The spicy squid was a bit tasteless, however, the shrimp starter was nicely flavoured. Ramen was also just about average. First visit to Yo! Sushi, I may try some of their other dishes on next visit.
Good efficient service. Food is better than I would have expected for a train station.I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back, but if In the area and wanted sushi I’d definitely return.I took off one star because the variety on the belt isn’t very big, but plenty of items to order off the menu.
Lovely, spacious place in Waterloo Station. Popped in quite late, just after 9pm after a long Saturday, and had a good experience. Service was generally good and prompt, despite of being close to the end of opening hours. Unfortunately one of the female staff, when asked for the bill, did not return despite informing us she would be back in a few minutes. The male staff however, were very attentive and friendly.
Love yo sushi. It never fails. Every vegan dish is amazing. The flavours are great, the price is decent and the food is cooked quickly. Cant go wrong!
I havent been back to Yo! Sushi in a while and I love it so much x. Melissa & Carmen havebeen so amazing and friendly! Lamas Pak Choi is the best. The food has always been so tasty, just like how I remembered it too be.
Truly some of the greatest, kindest service Ive experienced in a while, especially because you wouldnt necessarily expect a memorable restaurant experience at the Waterloo Station. The managers and the staff catered to us in the most exceptional way. Highly recommend and most definitely will be back.
Food was OK, and the staff was really nice, but a bit slow.It seemed like there were mostly expensive plates on the belt, and strangely not everything that was on the belt, seemed to be on the menu card. The toilet was pretty gross and I was glad I recently had my tetanus shot. All in all, the price was OK, and a good alternative to junkfood.
My extended family and myself went to this branch for a birthday celebration. The staff member Meg really stood out as an amazing and helpful member of staff. She really made us all feel welcome and waited on like we were in a michilin star restaurant. The food is always of a excellent quality here, as fresh as the day it was sourced.Would recommend to everyone: their take away system is quick and easy, the restaurant experience is always worth the short and present wait.
All I can say is fantastic! As soon as you walk into the restaurant you are warmly greeted by the friendly and inviting staff. I had the chicken Katsu curry witch I highly recommend if you enjoy slight spice. All I can say, if you are in Waterloo Station it will be a must that you should go in and enjoy some good food and in a great family friendly atmosphere.
Food is nice and fast service excellent for a train station.
Great service and tasty food - even better with veggie Wednesday offers (which they still let us use with our taste card so even more of a bonus- such great value! Mido and his team were great and we really enjoyed our dinner - we will be back 😀 many thanks!
Food was good and not very pricey. Staff is helpful and courteous but wasnt really open to comments or suggestions when they asked hows the food and I described that the ramen was a bit flat and tasteless. Its like they didnt really expect any feedback?
Very good service especially with a four year old! Nice to have one that is an enclosed restaurant. Great value on Mondays.
Great views, food, service and a departure board so you can see your train.Good views on to the station
Had an hour to wait for the train so went upstairs looking for a place to eat. There were several options but we chose the Yo Sushi, i have had Sushi befor but never visited a Yo.The waitress explained the way things worked and we ordered drinks and sea food soup while waiting for it we had a couple of sushi dishes from the conver belt they were good. The soup arrived, it was a very large bowl but it was delicious our tea was refreshed several times and the staff were excellent. We never felt rushed or unwelcome, i will be sure to visit next time i am waiting for the train.
Our first time in Yo Sushi! We were greeted by Mido, told him it was our first time in Yo Sushi and straight away he made us giggle. He explained how they operate and it was really easy to get help when we needed it. We have been looked after really well by Sally and another young gentleman. Food arrived quickly and it was delicious as well. May be our new favourite place for sushi :))
I have eaten here a few times before, its a wonderful addition to Waterloo. I visit Japan every year and stay for one month. It so lovely to be reminded of a special country. The staff are welcoming, efficient and work fast. Its great watching the chefs at work, its an art form in itself to provide us with such delicious food and a variety to choose from.I am heading back to Japan next month, and Yo! Sushi gets me into the mood. Thanks guys, you all work so hard. Defiently a place to visit if you have never been to Japan a nice introduction. After hours of walking around London, l now feel refreshed to head home, once l finish my green tea! 🍵
The sushi on the belts is very expensive for what it is. The concept is good but every other conveyer belt sushi I have been to has been better. I was sitting on a section of the counter where the door was opening frequently and it was very cold. They charged money for tap water which was appalling. The selection on the belt was not good.
As Yo! Sushis go, this one is better organised and has more variety on offer than some. Service is fast and friendly. Food is nice for what it is (heavily westernised, but enjoyable).
We travelled down from Glasgow and this Yo Sushi was our first stop and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was great! Your manager is doing a tramendous job running this restaurant. Thank you for a lovely meal, if we are ever in London again we will be back!
The staff at this particular branch are lovely & never disappoint. Food was good as always!
We had the attention of all the servers which for a Saturday lunchtime is pretty good. The restaurant was almost full but we still received great, attentive service and fantastic recommendations for dishes which would compliment my choices. This is one of the best options for a quick meal in Waterloo, I couldnt fault it.
I visited this place for the first time and the experience was first-rate. The food was delicious and worth the price. The customer service was excellent. I was served quickly and the person behind the till was very friendly. The portions were excellent and everything tasted perfect. I would recommend this place.I had take-away, so I cannot comment on what being seated is like. The restaurant looked very crowded I was extremely happy with the take-away service. I will more definetely visit this place again and I look forward to it.
I came here as part of a group of nine for my lovely partner’s 21st birthday meal. We all had an amazing time! One detail that really made our evening great, is that we were seated around the bend of the belt at one end of the restaurant. Our servers really went out of their way to be accommodative and helpful to us (shoutout to Meg). For vegan options I really recommend the inari tacos, a lovely new addition. There’s plenty for all tastes and dietary requirements, hot dishes ready to order and larger dishes too. Amazing katsu too! Thank you for a great time!
One of the best Yo! Sushi restaurants in central. Sushi rice is consistently good and service is prompt.Good location for food if your waiting for a train and is generally not too busy, tucked away on the mezzanine of the station.
Have been on two separate occasions first, clearly understaffed waiters were rushed but still polite and attentive enough though several items missing from the menu so overall disappointed. Second visit was worse took 10 minutes to be seated and another 20 to be served, couldnt even eat food from the belt as it looked almost inedible, grey chicken, discoloured salmon and other items not assembled properly - the inari taco was missing the avocado and did not look as pictured again extremely disappointed at the whole experience and wont return to this location
The wait to be seated and served was extremely slow. Once seated we saw the food passing on the conveyor belt. The food looked inedible and poorly arranged ! When we are finally served we order and wait another 25 minutes for the food to arrive.Extremely disappointed not coming back.
I visited Yo Sushi for first time today with my partner. The two girls who were working were so helpful, one was named Kasia i think and the other was dark skin girl. They being so nice and polite but the manager, who was a guy was bit rude i think. We ordered some food and while he was delivering for few people including us, we ask where is our portion of chips as we wanted to eat together with the rest of the food, he rudely shouted from the other side of the table that he is delivering whatever is ready. I do understand that but instead to give the chips to us as we ordered first before those two ladies order anything, he decided to give to them. At this point i felt not respected and welcomed there. Than we ask the girl named Kasia and for few min she bring us the chips politely apologising for the delay. I believe that is not the example how the manager should act and be example for his staff. Shame for him. The food was great, but the chef should check his sauce for the Korean fried chicken as was soooo spicy and some people can not handle that level pf spiciness. Not enough food on the conveyor belt, hardly having any food, mean pushing people to order food and delivering time to be long. Also the toilet could be more clean and regularly checked as there is few seats next to it, and when the door is open smells badly and the bin was overflowing, door handle broken.
Long wait for a table/stools. Waiter extremely attentive, promised to be back and never returned. Ordered food that didnt arrive, and when leaving they pushed a hard sell on buying a take-out box as we didnt get the food wed ordered. Plus the conveyor belt system was down. #yosushinosushi
4.5 stars for the awesome service (our server chatted us up & even offered to help us get wifi :).The food is what youd expect it to be for a semi-fast food Japanese spot: conveyor belt sushi (that they shared was removed every 2 hours& a decent selection of small hot food dishes (from karaage, katsu curry, yakisoba to ramen).Dont expect quality Japanese food (the yakisoba was meh at best, but the fried chicken was ok), but at least the food is fast enough that you wont miss your train.
Love it always. Good food, great service and deals on most days!
We arrived late Thursday evening on the way home from a wine and canopies reception so we were starving. The staff were friendly helpful apologised the kitchen was only open for another 15 minutes. No problem great food was already on the belt, another glass of wine and we were set up. Thanks Yo Sushi Waterloo.
I visited YO! Sushi today for the first time and my meal was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, patient and conscientious. Chefs cooking skills were perfect. I highly recommend this YO! Sushi to anyone and will definitely be back when I next visit London and try the puddings.
Poor selection of only the more expensive dishes, slow service, and then the dish I requested never turned up. Ive been eating at YO! Sushi since they first opened. I know theyve been through several ownerships, and slipped a bit each time, but they really are useless now. I almost walked out after waiting ages for a glass (they always used to be available as soon as you arrivedand I bitterly regret that I stayed.
Love yo sushi. A really great healthy alternative to fast food. The conveyor belt method of getting your food is pretty awesome :)
Staff were quick on hand, welcoming and got me seated promptly, also very friendly and knowledgeable too when asked questions regarding types of rolls. Reasonably valued and food was great - Im pleased I stopped by. Would be good if looking to grab something quick/even take-away or to sit in and have a meal!
Went to this one because the one by the river was closed for some reason. The sushi was very different, very fusion style. The service however was not great. Very very slow even after pushing the help button many times. They were very cheap on refilling dipping sauce for us too and refused to refill after the second time. Also sitting by the door was ridiculously cold, I had to keep my coat on while eating.
Absolutely ridiculous service, had somewhere to be and got to yo sushi over an hour before expecting a quick meal. Ordered some hot food and order was initially "lost" and only after asking multiple times did they start making it - 10 minutes before our show started. We then had to wait to pay (for food that hadnt been given to us yetand them give half our food as takeaway so we didnt miss the show, they also forgot drinks orders and all in all we wasted a lot of time complaining to have nothing fixed.Food however, as usual for this chain, was good so I would recommend visiting a different branch.
Fantastic for a quick tasty dinner before hopping on the train. Staff are friendly & service fast. Only little niggle is that when there are special offers on they tend to hold back the more expensive dishes so you have to order them rather than put them on the belt.
Partner ordered deliveroo tonight. Very disappointed with the food, expected a lot more for the price we paid. Almost everything was cold including chips. I couldnt eat the karaage chicken - cold/not nice meat. Also my sushi tasted and seemed like it had been out all day. Partner says his beef teriyaki was fine so added a star. Wouldnt recommend - we ordered at 8.30 maybe it was just end of the day food. Honestly wish we could get our money back.
I occasionally get take outs at this branch but the staff seem to recognise me whenever I go! Excellent customer service! The sushi is quite tasty and fresh but the main dish here is the Teriyaki beef and Rice. It is simply amazing🎉 They also recently introduced Salmon on Rice which also tastes great!
The manager was obnoxious and horrible. I saw him harass several guests - one even walked out of the restaurant because of it. I used to enjoy coming to this Yo sushi but after seeing his very mean spirited and ignorant manners - will not be returning until he leaves.
Friendly staff and a convenient location. The food was good but presentation was a little worse that what I experienced in other branches. Also communication between the waiters and chefs was not very good so there was a lot of confusion around orders.
